Why did Trump win the USA Presidential Election?

Instead of  looking at this with physical reasons, let's find out what we can learn in the spiritual.

Major events are not dependent on what people think or want. God does things His way.

9/11 was the day of disaster for America when things turned around as the Twin Towers crashed down. Revenge led to the costly and damaging wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

11/9 was the day of the most unexpected and incredible turn around in American voting history that showed that God is starting to do something very different to what we think. Is the Day of the Lord at hand?

Exactly 27 years ago, on this same day, the Berlin wall fell in a completely unexpected manner when a junior official in charge of the key gate in the Berlin wall that night made a mistake of opening the gate because none of his superiors were at home or answering their telephones.

Now we have to learn to expect the unexpected.

Learning, unlearning and re-learning becomes our key to survival.

What the expert polls told us was total junk. They do not have a clue what God is thinking.

And most Christians were dumb enough to believe them. So most Christians also do not have a clue what God is thinking. We Christians have to unlearn much of what we think is Truth.

Do we have the courage to re-learn from the Bible instead of parroting the wrong opinions that our human leaders tell us?

God has His perfect will, which is His "Big Picture". He is pulling nations and people into position for His end time plan. His Perfect Will is a spiritual river that flows through the affairs of mankind, sweeping the world onward to His Second Coming and the great Tribulation.

God made this very clear to king Nebuchadnezzar:

Daniel 4:32  And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

So God will make sure the correct people are in power to play out his Master plan even if they are on their own mission.

Abram, who became Abraham, killed a confederation of kings to rescue his nephew Lot. When it came to the distribution of the spoils of war, he asked that Eshcol should get the portion that rightly belonged to him.

GENESIS 14:22  And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

:23     That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

:24     Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

God gave Palestine to Abraham as his promised land. Rome destroyed the Jewish Temple in 70 AD and then drove out the Jews in 135 AD. In 1948 the United Nations gave the Jews back three small portions of the original territory that God gave to Abraham. President Nasser of Egypt kept threatening to destroy the Jews until they defeated Egypt, Syria and Jordan in six days in 1967. As victors in the war they could claim the newly conquered territory as the spoils of war. This was their rightful portion as winners. Their president was Levi Eshcol.

So almost 4 000 years after the first Eshcol got his portion at Abraham's request, history repeated itself with president Eshcol once again taking his portion as a descendant of Abraham. The Jews are God’s children. No other nation can claim such a significant link that goes back so far in time. God is still looking after the territory that He gave to Abraham. So keep your eyes on Israel.

NUMBERS 24:5   How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!

NUMBERS 24:9    Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

We should all take note. God has a long memory and He has not forgotten this promise which is actually a prophecy.

Today Yemen is self-destructing in a senseless civil war and terrorist attacks. But they have forgotten that when Israel became a nation in 1948, Yemen ( despite being so far away from Israel ) was one of seven countries that grouped together to attack Israel, destroy the Jews and share the spoils and the loot. Yemen cursed Israel and now they live under a curse.

Each of us, once saved, is obsessed with our small personal free will which is a little pool in which we can swim around in any direction that best suits our selfish interests. This is basically a journey to nowhere other than the great Tribulation. If we want to please God, we have to try to get our petty self-will into the flow of God’s "Big Picture". We can only find that in the written Bible.

God's Plan is contrary to our thinking and as such will then take us, protesting loudly, in a direction that we did not expect and do not want to go in. But that is the only time we really serve God’s purpose.

That  is why we must die to self. Whenever we complain about change, it means self is not yet dead. If we are dead to self, it is much easier for God to push us around to do what He wants us to do.

For example, Simon of Cyrene resented being forced to carry the cross of a condemned Man. “Contaminated” by the Blood of Jesus, he could no longer take part in the Jewish Passover. Completely unknown to him, the Passover was the process of being replaced by a better Covenant.  So, totally against his own will, he briefly became part of God’s perfect plan by doing what he did not want to do and basically having no clue as to what was really happening. We humans are not as clever as we think we are. Despite his total ignorance of what he was involved in, he became the first person to be part of the real Passover. So God is best able to use us when we have no clue what is going on.

The Jews who killed Jesus unknowingly opened up salvation for the Gentiles whom they despised.

So the lesson is that we must find God in unexpected circumstances that are contrary to human wisdom and our “learned” opinion polls. World press and TV stations are controlled by various power groups who feed the masses according to their own agendas.

That is why the polling experts in the American election got it wrong. They focused on people and their opinions. The fact that Christians believed all this error shows just how irrelevant the opinions of Christians have become. The Christians who voted for Hillary were simply far removed from God's thinking and completely out of touch with Him.

Yes. Hillary Clinton came across as a nicer person and a more conservative and polished politician. Bright, sharp, experienced, and competent.

Yes. Trump did shoot himself in the foot on far too many occasions. His own mouth was his worst enemy. Bumbling, insulting, and not well prepared for the debates against Hillary.

But ultimately all of that made no difference.

Why?

God is not focusing on America today.

America is ultimately doomed, but still has to bring the world into the mark of the beast which is brainwashing people with unscriptural denominational beliefs. You can have any belief you like, just as long as it is unscriptural. The denominations, of which there are now 30 000 different kinds, hold their people in holy huddles. Each group insists that they are right, despite all the differences between them.  This is not Christianity. This is "churchianity".  Such churches believe opinions and traditions, not the written Word. Any Christian will stay true to the Word of God.

Even "Message preachers" are doing a great job of propagating error in their sad pursuit of money, popularity, and fame. They claim that the great supernatural Cloud of 1963 is the Second Coming of the Lord, which is now also being airbrushed into being the Appearing of the Lord (whatever that means). Somehow the great Cloud that stayed at an altitude of 42 kilometers is also fuzzed into being the fulfillment of the great Angel of Revelation Chapter 10 who comes down to stand on land and sea. They do not tell us that there were two clouds about 20 miles apart. William Branham was also not present when the Cloud was photographed as the hunting season only opened the next day. Thus "Message groups" have become as unscriptural on these topics, as what the denominations are. They exalt William Branham’s quotes above Scripture.

Many "Message" preachers repeated a quote where brother Branham saw a vision and said

"that there arose up in America a most beautiful and cruel woman. (neither adjective applies to Hillary) She held the people in her complete power".

"I believed that this was the rise of the Roman Catholic church, though I knew it could possibly be a vision of some woman rising in great power in America due to a popular vote by women".

An Exposition of the Seven Church Ages

Many Message preachers, in their unfortunate rush to be considered clever, prophesied that Hillary would win the election.

William Branham actually believed that the woman in his vision was the Roman Catholic church.

He said it could possibly be a woman politician.

But in the frantic haste to prophesy before the event, and thereby claim to be clever, "Message" followers focused on the "possibly" and turned it into a "definite" victory for Hillary (who is not Catholic). This is typical of modern day Message preaching from quotes that they have misinterpreted, as they build their beliefs on their own interpretations of quotes. So these "Message" groups got it completely wrong ( which is not unusual ) and are thus no better than the rest of the denominations who likewise backed Hillary and proved that they have no idea of what God is thinking.

This merely indicates how irrelevant modern day Christians have become. Puffed up with their own opinions they are far removed from God’s thinking.  Basically they are blind to what is actually going on.

When it comes to God’s Perfect Will, human intelligence simply gets it wrong. In terms of modern day events, our churches are actually irrelevant. They get people saved, which is good, and then teach them error as they follow human leaders, which is bad. They get good marks for fine community and charity help, which is great. But just do not ask a Christian what is really going on today.

So what is Trump all about? Why does God want him in power?

Incessantly shooting himself in the foot, fumbling through the debates against Hillary’s razor sharp legal skills, alienating all sorts of different groups including the Republican leadership and the two previous Bush presidents, and being dragged through some awful moral dirt that would sink any respectable candidate, Trump only managed to do one thing right - and that was to say that he would recognize Jerusalem as being the capital of Israel.

That one statement was enough for God’s backing.

As He did for Moses, God opened a path through the sea of all the "opinion polls" analyses that told the restless masses of the USA how to vote for Hillary. (“Sea” represents the restless masses in Scripture).

God changes peoples’ minds and tells them how to vote. All of Hillary Clinton’s carefully executed debates and multi millions spent on well-orchestrated campaigning were simply blown away. All the backing she had from the world press and TV power groups proved impotent.

When God moves, all men and women buckle and just get swept away.

Hillary focused on American and foreign policy. To God, this is irrelevant. Obama, as president, was too scared to recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel, even though the American Senate has already approved this idea. Obama helped Iran with their nuclear issues. This is a nightmare for Israel.

Clinton would have continued with that policy.

Trump, in his election campaign, also focused on many American issues which made him equally irrelevant in God’s eyes.

The focus is no longer about America. God is turning to Israel.

But Trump did mention Israel, by claiming to recognize Jerusalem as its capital.

That tiny spark ignited the powder keg of God’s approval that blew away all the opposition and their meaningless opinion polls. Do a small thing in God’s Perfect Will and you may get incredible results. Simon of Cyrene once carried a cross for half an hour. Today he is the only citizen of Cyrene who is known to us by name. Most of us do not even know where Cyrene is. But we all know about Simon. There can be big benefits when you do a brief service that is in God’s "Big Picture".

So Trump the outsider swept the Presidency, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court. He has full control of the USA after his own party leaders insulted and rejected him. Those Republican leaders who pelted Trump with rotten eggs, also succeeded in grossly underestimating the grass roots feelings of average Americans, and are now sitting with egg on their faces.

This election is a clear cut warning to us. Things are changing. We should have learned that from 'Brexit'. It was also an election that defied our common sense.

In football, Leicester City was almost relegated the previous year, and then went on to win the Football championship in England. In baseball, the Chicago Cubs won the baseball championship for the first time in 108 years in America. On this same field the unfancied Irish rugby team smashed the famous All Blacks rugby team that had just set a world record of 18 unbeaten games. This was the first time in 111 years that Ireland beat New Zealand.

God is trying to tell us something. The favourites and famous can lose.

So the famous are beaten by the no-hopers. In many ways God is trying to prepare us for unexpected changes. And it is not the big leaders, the favourites,  and the great names who will win. It is the written off no-bodies.

We are no longer safe in our complacent churches.

God is turning to Israel and we are going to be left behind if we do not also change direction.

Being saved is not enough to escape the Tribulation. We are expected to know what is going on.

On July 4  1976 America prepared for their bicentennial celebration. They were the  first democracy to make 200 years. It was going to be a major celebration. Then they got knocked out of the headlines. Cheeky little insignificant Israel, in a stunning hostage drama, rescued their hostages from Entebbe airport in Uganda where terrorists had kidnapped them. This military operation was so amazing and covered such a vast distance that it dominated world news on the same day that the Americans desperately wanted to brag big. So Israel got the headlines which they really earned the hard way. American bragging got kicked onto the second page.

In our faces, God was telling us that He is turning from America to Israel.

But the world and the church world were not listening.

Only one soldier died, the brilliant leader of the troops who rescued the Jewish hostages from the airport lounge, Yonni Netanyahu. He was the brother of Israel’s current President Benjamin Netanyahu. So a Netanyahu is today the Jewish leader at a time when God is wanting to rescue His Jewish people, just like God did at Entebbe when another Netanyahu was also in charge as the field commander of the hostage rescuers.

That gallant leader died to physically save his fellow Jews. The Jewish Messiah also died to spiritually save the Jews.

Idi Amin was president of Uganda. Later, after the Jews flew away, Amin’s son asked him if he was going to pursue the Jews further.He got an astonishing reply from this blood thirsty dictator. “My son, they are God’s people. If you attack them they will never stop fighting you. Rather just leave them alone”. (Good advice for the Arab states.)

Bible lesson one: The church world, except for a few Scriptural individuals, is becoming irrelevant. The church world completely missed God’s Plan with this latest election. The church world no longer thinks in the same way that God does. God’s major interest now is in turning back to Israel.

God is leaving the church world and leaving America and the other nations. His main concern now is for Israel. He owes the Jews half a week of prophecy - three and a half days. In prophecy a day often represents a year.  So God owes the Jews three and a half years. God’s Big Plan is to get the Jews back into their homeland, and then have the whole world turning against them. Doomed to perish if they are left to themselves, they will be forced to depend on two prophets, Moses and Elijah. (Remember, like Simon of Cyrene, we only serve God properly when we are forced to). Only these two men, with their supernatural powers, will keep the screaming hordes of Jew-haters at bay. This miraculous intervention will make many Jews believe these two prophets as they guide the Jews into accepting Jesus as their Messiah. That will not be an easy task. Then Jesus will return for Armageddon to smash these multitudes, and the spilt blood of the Jew-hating nations will fertilize the sands of Israel and make the country blossom like a rose in the Millennium.

USA Elections have depended on Israel’s welfare in the past. When Israel became a nation in 1948, President Truman of America was the first to recognize them, despite strong opposition. Israel needed this support as they were attacked by five Arab armies.

In the 1948 election Truman’s Democrats split into three factions so he actually had no hope against the Republican Dewey. So much so that the New York Times printed its front page that Dewey won the election even before the election happened. Republicans were largely farmers. God organized heavy rains in the Mississippi basin and northern California which were Republican farming areas. There was so much mud that Republican farmers could not go out to vote. Truman won and continued to support the new born state of Israel.

In 1972 Nixon won the American election after cheating at Watergate. But despite this crooked dealing he managed to cling to power for two years, despite a hurricane of protest from the people. Then he stood down in 1974. Why was all this dishonesty allowed to survive in the White house for two years?

In 1973 the Arab armies smashed into an unexpecting Israel and hammered them for a week, until they were at the point of being eliminated. In desperation Jewish president Golda Meir phoned Nixon for modern weapons. Nixon recalled something his mother told him when he was young. “Richard, if you can ever do something for Israel, please do it. They are God’s people”. So Nixon organized the airlift. These arms saved Israel who then went on to win the war.

Thus Israel needed Nixon in 1973. He did what God wanted him to do, and was thus able to stay in power until Israel had been saved. His reward? He deserved to go to jail for the dishonesty that he had done, but he got a presidential pardon.

How did Israel become a nation? As a result of Hitler. Hitler exterminated six million Jews in the Second World War. The world was so horrified that they briefly felt sorry for the persecuted Jews. The United Nations, by about a two vote majority, agreed to give them a homeland in Palestine for their own safety.

How did Hitler come to power? He joined a small unknown Social Democrat party and began to contest elections.

He was written off as a hopeless case in every election that he contested.

He got bad press and was ridiculed by the main leaders of Germany.

Despite all that in 1933 he became Chancellor, and then Dictator of Germany.

He went on to persecute the Jews which ended up in them being able to claim their promised land of Israel. So Hitler’s ruthless rise to power and his insane destructiveness were all in God’s plan.

So watch Israel. That is where God is moving to.

God is hugely concerned with fulfilling prophecy.

Saddam Hussein started to rebuild the city of Babylon, and then invaded Kuwait. The Bible said Babylon must not be rebuilt. So God used president George H W Bush to flatten Saddam in the first Gulf War. Saddam left 600 Kuwaiti oil wells burning. This war was obviously symbolized as a burning Bush.  A burning bush that was seen by Moses was the start of the first exodus to get the Jews from Egypt to Palestine.

This first Gulf war of 1991 was another “burning Bush” warning to us that God is bringing the Jews back to Israel.

People thought it was all about oil, which actually was the American motive, but God used Bush to achieve His real purpose which was stopping the rebuilding of Babylon.

In addition it was a wake-up call to us that God was turning back to the Jews, and wanting them to return to Palestine where Moses (and Elijah) will return to guide them through the great Tribulation.

After some time Saddam began again building in Babylon. So God sent George W Bush to finally eliminate Saddam. God will not allow Babylon to be rebuilt. Iraq’s oil was just the hook that pulled the Americans into the second Gulf war in Iraq. Stopping Babylon from being rebuilt was God’s real priority.

Meanwhile Israel needs protection from its hostile neighbours Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas.

In 2006 Israel fought a brutal war with Hezbollah and it seems that Hezbollah got the upper hand. So how does God protect Israel? A civil war starts in Syria and president Assad calls in Hezbollah to help him. Thus both Syria and Hezbollah are tied up in this vicious civil war and cannot afford to start a war with Israel as well. So Israel is safe for a while. Then ISIS flares up to keep Iraq and Syria even more busy. Fighting ISIS means Syria and Iraq cannot also fight Israel. So God grants the Jews a breathing space. Fighting ISIS takes money so now Iraq has less money for rebuilding Babylon.

Meanwhile the complacent church world and the smug "Message" groups sleep on as they play "follow-my-leader" and "blind-man’s-buff". Please remember that in Scripture there is no such thing as a "Message church", just as there is no such thing as a Methodist church in the Bible. If you want to be Scriptural, just call yourself a Christian.

But God has sent us a big wake-up call by the sheer unexpectedness of the result of this election.

I CORINTHIANS 15:46  Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

God sends a natural warning first. A completely unexpected political shakeup that caught the experts napping. Now Americans have to change direction.

But remember that “The Trump” is a Scriptural expression.

It is used as part of the description of end time events.

So, in this totally unexpected natural election of “the Trump”, God is warning us that equally big and completely unexpected changes are coming spiritually. We are all going to have to drastically change direction, and become very Scriptural, or else we will wake up in the great Tribulation.

I THESSALONIANS 4:16   For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

God is turning back to the Jews.

The next event for the church is the resurrection of the dead from the seven church ages.

Then we will hear “the trump” of God as it calls us up to Heaven.

But if the natural is anything to go by, “the trump” of God will be totally unexpected, and be everywhere spoken against by the church and "Message" experts. And once again they will get it completely wrong. When the end comes, the church leaders and "Message" leaders will bitterly oppose the actual trump of God in the same way that the Republican leaders bitterly opposed the Trump. Why?

He was just so very different. They could not adjust their thinking. They could not unlearn their old skills for winning elections which were now obsolete. They were too proud to re-learn new skills. So the Republican leaders ended up looking like fools.

The same will happen to the church leaders and the "Message" leaders at the end.

Human leadership is the biggest single failing of the church and the "Message". Look at the natural world of politics. All the Republican leaders condemned and criticized Trump. Many even voted against him. Now they have egg on their faces as he has really returned the Republicans to unimagined power.

It was the Jewish religious leaders who told the Jews to demand the crucifixion of Christ.

At the end it is always the leaders who guide us into error.

When are Christians going to wake up and think for themselves, instead of endlessly conforming to "churchianity" and bowing down to their leader’s prejudices.

If Hillary had won that would have had no Biblical significance and Christians and "Message" people could all have safely gone back to sleep in their holy huddles while the leaders rock their cots by telling them how wonderful they are.

With Trump winning we need to be on our toes. The end could be close.

So God has sent a shake-up that we ignore at our peril.

We are no longer safe in our complacent churches that have just become "echo chambers".

We keep hearing the same things and are convinced that our opinion is truth because we only group together with those who agree with us. That is a nice safe environment. We keep getting reassured about how right we are. Our mental programming is to conform which means that we cannot accept an alternative viewpoint. We simply reject it out of hand as we have become brainwashed into believing only one thing and that is that "my opinion is right". We are terrified to question our own views because if we dare to believe that we are wrong, then we can no longer just lazily follow our leaders who do our thinking for us. We would have to think for ourselves and that would destroy our comfort zones. Then we would not know where we belong. Brexit has taught people that it is essential to talk and discuss with those who they disagree with. Governments pay an opposition to criticize and correct their faults. No churches have this wisdom as they ignore and reject critics. Church leaders have produced 30 000 different kinds of denominational "echo chambers" where the congregations repeat back what the leaders say. Each denomination claims to be right. Outsiders find this to be a joke as there are so many differences. Only individiduals will be able to come out of this mental morass by coming back to the written Word.
REVELATION 3:14   And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;

This is the seventh or last church. Laodicea means "people's rights". This accurately describes our modern age.
REVELATION 3:17   Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Christians insist that wealth is proof of God's approval. Yet this statement is a total condemnation of our church age. We have become a completely apostate church, but we do not know it. We have "need of nothing". Each denomination and "Message group" has no need of any correction. No-one from outside will be listened to as no outsider has any better truth than the believers in that specific holy huddle.

But Jesus is speaking to the church and describing it as "blind". No church is strictly Scriptural anymore. Belief is based on human opinions, traditions, and quotes. Not the written Bible verses.
REVELATION 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

This is the strongest condemnation of our churches. Jesus Christ stands outside the door. He is the Word. No church preaches just from the written Word. If they did, Jesus would be inside the church.

Jesus is the Head of the church. No human being is described in the Bible as being the head of the church. But the pastors and human leaders claim to be the head of their churches. No body can have two heads. If the pastor claims to be the head of his church then the real Head cannot also be in the church. It is the pastor's church, not the church of Jesus Christ.
LUKE 18:8  Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

This is a prophecy from Jesus that really condemns us Christians. We have developed "churchianity" which conforms to human opinions. Jesus is looking for people who only believe the Bible. And He is not confident of finding those. After all, only eight people made it in the days of Noah.

So how many will make it from today's two billion Christians?
ROMANS 10:17   So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Look at this parable. A supper is prepared and all the people who were invited rejected the offer. Jesus wants to take a Bible believing Bride up to Heaven for the wedding supper of the Lamb but Christians are too involved with their own personal interests and with their different versions of "churchianity". So the invited guests, the saved Christians, are rejected from the wedding and will go into the great Tribulation. God then drags in unknown and unwanted and seriously disadvantaged people that the churches reject. These have no home, no church home, as they are unwanted strays on the highway that shelter under hedges. These have no comfort zone, no success to make them complacent. They are scattered and are dragged in from all over, against their wills. They have no human leadership as there is no fame or money to be found under the hedges. And they are poor.
LUKE 14:16   Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

:17   And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

:18   And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

:19   And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

:20   And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

:21   So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

:22   And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

:23   And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

:24   For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

The complacent and self-satisfied saved Christians of today who are convinced that they will be the winners when Jesus returns, will not make it.

So God is going to scrape up the losers and turn them into winners.

That is the lesson we learn from Brexit and the United States presidential election of Trump. People said that Trump would not make it because he is not fit to take the office. His faults and shortcomings were ruthlessly exposed.

For the wedding supper of the Lamb, Jesus said "bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind". This bunch does not sound fit to make it either. But they are the ones who are going to win.

The Trump election should be a massive warning to us all. There is no safety in the church or "Message" systems. Make sure you are Scriptural in what you believe. And do not reject criticism based on Bible verses. Others, outside your church group, can also help you. Your human leaders do not know it all.
