What does "Revelation" mean?
We update studies as the Lord Jesus leads us. You can find the latest update of this study at ChurchAges.net
There are hidden mysteries in the Bible that we need to understand in order to be ready for the Coming of Jesus.
- A revelation cannot ignore or contradict a Scripture
- Revelation makes you Scriptural
- Our Rock is the revelation of Who we think Jesus is
- The cloud over Flagstaff in Arizona was a sign
- We must believe that the King James Bible is perfect
- Patience is an essential virtue to find the Will of God
- Be ready to listen to Scriptural criticisms
- Revelation is progressive as our understanding develops
- Revelation uncovers patterns in the Bible
- Both the church had 7 ages and the Jews also had 7 ages
- Revelation shows us that Grace fulfills the Law
- Jesus must always be our central focus, not some man
A revelation cannot ignore or contradict a Scripture
What do we mean by "revelation"?
Look at a jig-saw puzzle. It has many strange-looking pieces. But there is only one way to fit them together so that
each piece contributes towards the final picture.
We start by looking at the picture on the box. Then we struggle to fit the pieces together to make this picture. We cannot make a different picture as we would not then be able to use all the pieces. Ignoring Bible verses that disagree with our doctrine means that we have the wrong picture in our minds.
The pieces of the jig-saw puzzle represent Bible verses. When a person is able to join all the relevant Scriptures together to produce a pattern that runs through the Bible, only then does he or she have a clear picture of that doctrine.
The “clear picture” is the revelation.
If there are Scriptures that you ignore or that contradict your viewpoint, then you have been trapped by your own propaganda.
You are then on a pointless journey to nowhere.
In nature, white light can break up into 7 dominant colours if it is bent twice by a triangular glass prism.
Picture a thin ray of white light shining onto the prism from the left.
The white light seems to break up into seven dominant colours when the light bends or breaks as it enters the triangle and then as it bends or breaks as it leaves the triangle.
Jesus is the light of the world. He had to be rejected or broken twice to release the seven church ages that were hidden in the Scriptures.
He was rejected as a Man at Calvary by the Jews.
Then He was rejected as the true Word at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325 when the church accepted the Trinity doctrine.
The Bible was no longer regarded as the Absolute because Trinity required so many unscriptural words to try and explain it.
Then other unscriptural doctrines like Christmas, Good Friday, Mass, a Bishop is the head of each church, and the quotes of the Pope replaced Scripture. So it is no surprise to find that 2000 years of church history was broken up into seven different church ages. In each age, the church had to overcome different circumstances, errors, and attacks of the Devil.
When Scriptural patterns like the 7 church ages fit in with the laws of nature, this helps us to get a true revelation or picture about God’s plans.
If you follow the herd you end up eating dust, like the serpent.
GENESIS 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Most people believe what other people believe. We call this a "herd instinct".
We are heavily influenced by the people around us. Very few people think for themselves.
Christians today communicate by texting mobile phone "forwards" as they transfer pictures and brief quotes to each other. The quotes may be true but they are thought up by somebody else. Thus nobody thinks for themselves anymore. We become second-hand Christians. Like a parrot, we just repeat and pass on what somebody else said. We love these "ten-second sound bites". They are usually superficial and require no deep thinking, as they just re-affirm what we already know.
Our brains are trained to ignore an in-depth insight into Scripture. That is too much like hard work.
"Must I know?" say the foolish virgins.
All they want is quick, easy, plausible answers that suit them. Nothing deep that can disturb them as it threatens to expose their Bible-ignorance.
The path to a deep understanding of Scripture takes much prayer, searching of Scripture, and study. We can get an idea from a man, but to establish that idea from Scripture takes hard work.
"I must know" say the Bride.
There is no easy path to the top of a mountain. But the view from the top makes all the effort worthwhile.
Almost everyone believes in Christmas.
But they cannot explain why the Bible never asks us to remember the Lord’s birth.
Then they offer completely unscriptural reasons to try to justify the date of 25 December. This date comes from the pagan celebration of the birth of the Roman sun god that the pagan Roman emperor Aurelian established in AD 274. He had killed the bishop of Rome three days before this. Aurelian himself was killed the next year in AD 275.
In about AD 350, the bishop of Rome, Julius I, adopted or plagiarized 25 December as the birthday of the Son of God. Unscripturally called "Christ's mass", which became the unscriptural "Christmas". Julius died two years later in AD 352. So death soon struck down the two men who introduced this unscriptural religious birthday that today dominates church thinking and Big Business. By doing Christmas, Protestants are fooled into celebrating a Catholic mass. A combination of the white horse of religious error and the black horse of Big Money demonology.
Antichrist is not a person, it is a spirit.
I JOHN 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:
and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Antichrist is a spirit that infiltrated the early church.
"The antichrist" sounds like a man. But the Bible never says "the Antichrist".
That spirit of antichrist enters a man, and when he dies, the antichrist spirit does not die as it simply enters another man. Thus that spirit of antichrist is still around today.
But we cannot tell the difference between one spirit and many spirits.
We simply do not have the vocabulary to correctly explain the spirit world.
MARK 5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man,
thou unclean spirit.
This looks like one spirit.
Yet the next line looks like many spirits.
MARK 5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying,
My name is Legion: for we are many.
"My name" is singular. "We are many" is plural.
Many demons. Enough demons to enter 2000 pigs.
A huge bunch of spirits was called "Thou unclean spirit".
MARK 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
But "that spirit of antichrist" is also called "many antichrists".
I JOHN 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Please remember, the Bible never says "The antichrist".
The Bible says there are "many antichrists" and they were present 2000 years ago.
The Roman Catholic church is the only organization on earth today that survived the fall of the pagan Roman empire.
"That spirit of antichrist" never died. A person dies but the spirit lives on.
Christmas is an example of how we leave Scripture to follow a popular belief that others have taught us.
The Pope taught us Christmas, even though the pagan Roman emperor Aurelian who began that idea was a murderer of Christians.
That means Christmas is not a revelation of Scripture. The idea of Christmas on 25 December is just dumbing us down until we modify a pagan myth. Attaching the birth of Jesus to a pagan myth is not the way to establish truth.
Revelation makes you Scriptural
Revelation is based on Scripture, not on a popular opinion.
Jesus wanted to know what His disciples based their beliefs on. Scripture or popular opinions of other people?
So Jesus first asked them what other people said about Him.
MATTHEW 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Immediately they came up with a number of different answers, none of which were correct. This shows how easy it is for us to listen to the errors of other people. All the disciples readily mentioned the different, wrong opinions that other people held. Scared to think for themselves, they just said what other people said and thought that was fine.
But, there are 45000 different types of churches and denominations today. All have different opinions on various topics. So there has to be much error circulating around in the church world.
MATTHEW 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Now Jesus gets specific. He is not interested in disciples who repeat what other people say.
What did each disciple believe for themselves?
Do you believe something because brother Branham says so? But even a prophet can make mistakes.
Do you believe something because your pastor says so? Your church says so?
That makes you a parrot, not an eagle.
64-0614 THE ODDBALL
That's what the Angel told me, "Get the people to believe you."
And if I tell the Word of God, it ain't "believe me," it's "believe the Word."
With so many tens of thousands of different types of churches, you cannot claim that any church has the full truth. And pastors disagree with each other.
Your father says so? Your husband says so? Your wife says so? Your children say so? Your friends say so?
LUKE 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
There is no advantage to being part of any family.
It all boils down to what you believe for yourself as an individual.
1965 CHURCH AGE BOOK CHAPTER 9 THE CHURCH OF THE LAODICEANS.
“Be zealous and repent.” Now this false church has zeal; make no mistake about that. Her zeal has literally been that of the Jews, John 2:17, “The zeal of thine house hath eaten Me up.” But it is a wrong zeal.
It is for the house of their own building. It is for their own creeds, dogmas, organizations,
their own righteousness.
They have put the Word out for their own ideas.
They deposed the Holy Ghost and made men into leaders.
They have put aside Eternal Life as a Person, and make it good works, or even church conformity rather than good works."
So, when asked to express their own personal conviction, each disciple was suddenly silent. They were dead scared of being asked to think for themselves.
Only Peter had the courage to speak from his own personal convictions.
MATTHEW 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Peter had a clear-cut revelation of Who Jesus is.
MATTHEW 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Jesus was impressed. Peter did not believe this because some person had told him. God had given Peter this revelation.
That is the secret of revelation. When God opens your understanding so that you see it for yourself.
MATTHEW 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Peter recognized who Jesus is. The Man Who was the Son that the supernatural God lived in.
COLOSSIANS 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
You have a conscious and subconscious mind. But you are one person.
Jesus has a human and a supernatural mind. He is both Man and God.
Jesus in turn, recognized who Peter was, “petros” means a stone.
A stone is a small piece of a rock.
Peter had a revelation of Who Jesus is. That revelation made Peter a living stone, a small part of God’s spiritual Temple or House that is built up from the living stones that would be saved and shaped over 2000 years of church history. Each born-again Christian has to get a personal revelation of Who Jesus is,
the revealed Word of God for his or her age.
Only then can God use them to build up His Body, the true church.
I PETER 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood,
I CORINTHIANS 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Peter recognized Jesus as a Man.
We have to recognize Jesus as the revealed Word of God for our day.
Each Christian needs a personal revelation of Jesus in order to know where they fit into His Body, the church.
All the stones (the individual Christians) fit together to make up the original Rock, Jesus Christ.
Our Rock is the revelation of Who we think Jesus is
I CORINTHIANS 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Jesus is the revealed Word of our day.
Only a supernatural Revelation, given to the individual by God, can build up the church.
It is not what others say. It is what you believe deep down in your heart.
EPHESIANS 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
The Spirit gives us the revelation of Scripture which alone makes us part of His true church.
Jesus is the Word.
We can only be a part of Him if we fully believe the Bible.
JOHN 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:
God has a Bigger Plan than what we can see with our present circumstances. We need a revelation of the mysteries of Scripture (which is the true Rock) in order for us to know where we fit into God’s Big Plan.
The mystery of God is that the last church age must return to the beliefs of the first church age.
The churches seem to be totally unaware of this last exodus of the seventh-age children back to the first church age fathers who were the apostles.
HEBREWS 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us,
that they without us should not be made perfect.
The New Testament has to be a fulfillment of the Old Testament.
The last church age, when the seed is harvested, has to be the same as the first church age seed that was planted.
GALATIANS 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
No human being could think up such a deep plan that stretches out over thousands of years.
GALATIANS 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Paul had to receive a revelation directly from God, as he had to lay a foundation for seven different church ages.
A huge problem is that people seek Jesus just for their own personal advantages. Women, money, or fame. They have no deep love of the truth.
JOHN 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
People do not want a revelation of Bible truth. They want all the material blessings that they can get out of God.
Even the miracles of God leave them unimpressed unless they can personally benefit from the miracles.
JOHN 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
The real work of God is to recognize each messenger that God sends to each of the seven church ages. Then we have to pray for a revelation of what God is trying to achieve in our age.
We need a revelation of the end-time parables and prophecies in Scripture, to understand our place in God’s Big Plan.
Especially, since none of the end-time prophecies or parables say anything good about any end-time church. Neither Message-churches nor denominational churches.
The cloud over Flagstaff in Arizona was a sign
The event that followed this sign was the Revelation of the Seven Seals by William Branham.
JOHN 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
People do not have real faith in the revelation of the Bible mysteries. They look for some special sign that they can hang onto.
Message-people never realized that the supernatural cloud of 1963 was a sign in the heaven (or high altitude atmosphere) that Jesus, the Son of man, was going to be revealed in the Word by the revelation of the Seven Seals. They were fooled into thinking that the cloud was an event and then decided that it must be the Coming of the Lord or the coming down of the mighty Angel of Revelation Chapter 10.
They mistook a sign for an event.
65-0718 TRYING TO DO GOD A SERVICE WITHOUT BEING THE WILL OF GOD
And then in that great observatory, so that the world will be without, they're still wondering what happened. In Tucson, them big observatories took the picture of it up there;
still wondering what happened. What is it? They still put in the paper, "Does anybody know anything about what, how it could have happen?" There is no fog up there, there's no air, there's no moisture;
thirty miles high in the air.
Oh my!
"There shall be signs in the heaven above.
And when these things take place, earthquakes in divers places,
then shall appear the sign in the heaven, of the Son of man."
"That day," in Luke,
"the Son of man will reveal Himself again;
being revealed, Hisself." And the world will look like Sodom and Gomorrah. Oh, my!
John the Baptist revealed Jesus as the Son of man walking amongst men.
Brother Branham, after the 7 Seals were revealed, would reveal Jesus as the Son of man walking through the pages of the Bible. Then for the first time, we were able to properly understand the Bible mysteries.
God gave the Jews manna in the wilderness. They took that as a sign that following Moses made them the chosen people. The Jews then began to elevate Moses, as if he had provided the manna.
JOHN 6:31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
The Jews referred to Moses in the wilderness who, they believed, had given the Jews their daily manna or food from Heaven.
To them, that was a sign that God was with Moses. So all the Jews had to do was follow Moses. They did not need to keep their eyes on God.
JOHN 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Moses gave you not that bread from heaven;
but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
Jesus corrected them. God used Moses as a great leader. But the manna that fell from Heaven came from God, not from Moses.
The Jews were very impressed with the physical manna which was the food that gave them physical life.
But the Jews in Jesus' day had forgotten that none of those Jews got into the Promised Land, except Joshua and Caleb.
The Jews had tunnel vision. They were busy elevating the man Moses. Humans love to hero-worship a champion. But Moses himself never made it into the Promised Land
So, Jesus wanted the Jews to take their eyes off human leaders and focus rather on Himself.
Men fail. They are not perfect. Only Christ, the revealed Word, can be fully trusted.
JOHN 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
But Jesus refers to Himself, as the Word of God, being the Bread of Life. Once you have a revelation of the truth of Scripture, that inner revelation will sustain you because a true revelation keeps unfolding into something deeper.
We must believe that the King James Bible is perfect
JOHN 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
We cannot find deeper truth by our own efforts. God alone can draw us towards the truth. He does this by making us fascinated by the unfolding of His Deep Plan for humanity. We become awed by His thinking and we desire to be able to think like He does. Then we search the Scriptures to find out more.
JOHN 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
We must have a desire to be taught by Scripture. We must believe that every word in the Bible is true. We must accept that the 1769 Version of the King James Bible is our Absolute. The foundation of our faith.
PROVERBS 30:5 Every word of God is pure:
JOHN 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
The Bible is full of difficult verses to understand. They will only make sense when we see them in terms of God’s Big Picture.
The church began on the Day of Pentecost after Jesus had ascended to Heaven.
Thus the church did not see Christ as a Man, but they saw Him as the Word of God.
Today, we also see Christ revealed in His Word.
His flesh symbolizes the Bible verses. We have to eat and digest the Scripture until we have an understanding of what it means.
The Spirit is Life. This Life was in His Blood.
Drinking makes something part of us. His Blood has to cleanse our inner man from sin and unbelief. Then the Life in His Blood has to give us an unfolding revelation of the meaning of His Word.
LEVITICUS 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood:
As you eat food, you grow as a person.
The revelation that you have of Jesus depends on the amount of Scripture that you read and believe.
It is this inner revelation that alone can place you in your position in the Body of Christ.
JOHN 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
There are many difficult Scriptures to understand. Some Scriptures seem to contradict each other. That just means that we do not understand. Some Scriptures seem to be wrong and people prefer to change the words. That is a big mistake.
JOHN 6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
Jesus challenges us. Do we get offended by what we read in the difficult verses of the Bible?
Is the Bible wrong just because our limited human thinking cannot understand it?
Are we so arrogant as to feel that we are clever enough to understand all the Bible in terms of our present state of ignorance?
When we disagree with difficult Scriptures, we are like eagles that allow their wings to be clipped.
Clip the wings of an eagle and you end up with a turkey.
Turkeys get eaten on Christmas day.
Christmas is an unscriptural word. 25 December is an unscriptural date. We were never asked in the Bible to celebrate the Lord's birth.
Everyone entrenched in their own "truth" becomes a prisoner of self and his own position.
He then projects his wrong ideas and dissatisfactions into other Bible topics to confuse them too. The next thing they come up with is the unscriptural "Good Friday" which makes it impossible for Jesus to be in His tomb for 3 nights.
A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small package.
The goat only feeds at the spot where it has been tied.
JOHN 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
There is no benefit in the flesh, which represents our human efforts. Human thinking cannot unravel the mysteries of Scripture.
Only the Spirit of God has value. And He will teach you that every word of God is pure.
So we have to keep seeking and praying for God to reveal the difficult Scriptures to us. We will have to change our way of thinking until we can understand the Bible.
We must not change the Bible to suit our limited way of thinking.
JOHN 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
We cannot understand the truth by our own determined efforts.
God has to open the truth to us.
JOHN 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
These disciples wanted benefits and miracles as a reward for following Jesus. They simply were not interested in the truth, especially if they had to think hard to understand truth.
They were only interested in the low-hanging fruit, that could be easily picked without any hard thinking.
John 6:66 tells us about 666, the number or mark of the beast.
The heart of this verse is that those disciples stopped following Jesus Who is the Word.
They tried to understand the truth, but when it got too difficult, they moved away from Him, Who is the Word.
Today, if we change, or ignore, or disagree, with Scripture, then we take on the mark of the beast.
Every church thus tells people that it is impossible to have a perfect Bible.
People thus no longer persevere to understand truth by linking different Bible verses together.
Thus, we live in an age where human quotes replace Scripture and people are left with an illusion of truth.
Every church hierarchy has power struggles and corruption.
People corrupt a source of power to make it suit their will.
I SAMUEL 3:7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
Until we have a revelation of the Bible, we simply do not know the Lord. We just have a delusion that we are following God.
DANIEL 2:27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
An understanding of the secrets of Scripture is something that wise men, scientists, and church leaders simply cannot give us. No man could answer the king’s questions. Today, humans cannot unravel the secrets of Scripture by human wisdom either. However hard they try.
DANIEL 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
God alone can reveal the secrets to individuals.
God alone can make known to us what His Plan is in the latter days.
COVID-19 turned the year of 2020 into a very confused and difficult time. We need an inner revelation from Scripture if we are to properly understand what was happening.
But there is always some aspect that God hides from our understanding.
DEUTERONOMY 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God:
but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
And there are some other aspects that God does reveal, to those who know how to listen to His Word.
DEUTERONOMY 29:2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
The Jews in Egypt saw everything that God did.
DEUTERONOMY 29:3 The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
They saw signs and miracles. But it did not help them.
DEUTERONOMY 29:4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
They were impressed with the signs and miracles. But they never developed an ear that could hear.
To each church age, God required them to hear what the Spirit was saying to that age from the Scripture.
REVELATION 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;
We need to hear what the Spirit is saying to the last church age. Because there is no prophecy or parable that speaks of the end-time church that says anything complimentary.
So we need to be very careful what we listen to.
DEUTERONOMY 29:5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
God performed daily miracles for the Jews in the wilderness. Each day He met their needs. Even their clothes never wore out.
Yet only two of the adult Jews, Joshua, and Caleb, made it into the Promised Land.
Signs and miracles are a great and impressive help but are not proof that we are right with God.
The emphasis should not be on the miracles in brother Branham’s ministry.
That was to attract attention.
The emphasis should be on our ability to understand the mysteries that he was revealing.
Can we explain these mysteries just by linking up Bible verses and thus having a Scriptural foundation for our beliefs.
PSALM 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
We have to learn to fear God and the Bible. We cannot place the quotes of man above the Scripture.
Quotes cannot replace Scripture.
Brother Branham’s quotes were sent to explain the Scriptures, not to replace them.
The Scripture must always be the Absolute. We must bend our understanding until it matches the Scripture. We must never try to bend or ignore the Scripture to justify our own ideas.
AMOS 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
63-0318 THE FIRST SEAL
Takes the Book of Seals and breaks them and shows the seventh angel,
for this alone, the mysteries of God, is the ministry of the seventh angel.
Brother Branham’s real ministry was to reveal the mysteries of the Bible so that we can be restored back to the beliefs of the first church age. Everything else that he did, however powerful it was, was secondary to this main purpose.
MATTHEW 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
The brothers of Jesus, while in Capernaum, told Him to go to the feast in Jerusalem.
JOHN 7:6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.
Jesus effectively said to His brothers, "It makes no difference to you when you go up. Your going will excite no tumult or opposition".
The brothers were at liberty at any time to show themselves and their works to the world. They agreed with the religious thinking of their day. They were no threat to the church leaders, so it mattered little when they went up as nothing depended upon their movements.
The church has no quarrel with those who do not oppose the church systems and bear no testimony against it, and so draw down upon themselves none of its wraths.
People who do not expose the errors in the message-groups are popular and live easy lives as they are not attacked by message-pastors.
But Jesus, and anyone else who exposes church error, has to be careful. Jesus in effect was saying, "But I am here to lift up My voice against its hypocrisy, and denounce its errors; therefore it cannot endure Me. And one false step might precipitate its fury on its Victim's head before the proper time”.
Patience is an essential virtue to find the Will of God
We have to learn to wait on God, not try to tell God what to do.
JOHN 7:8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
Timing was critical. Jesus had to know the hour that He lived in, and He needed divine guidance as to when He moved. He could not follow His own will.
He could not listen to human guidance.
Those who expose the errors in the message-churches have to cope with the wrath and opposition of the churches. They have to be more careful.
JOHN 7:10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
God has to keep certain knowledge secret until the right moment.
John heard a mysterious noise like Thunder that sounded before the Six Seals of Revelation Chapter 6 opened in Heaven.
63-0318 THE FIRST SEAL
John goes to see what the thunder said.
It's then that this creature told John come and see what the mystery is under the First Seal. The thunder, the voice of the Creator has uttered it. Now, He ought to know what's there. Amen. Oh, my.
[The first Thunder was a mystery. Then another seven Thunders uttered later in Revelation Chapter 10 that John was told not to write what they uttered].
But think, now he wrote this,
but when he started to write those other seven thunders,
he said, "Don't write it." He'd been commissioned to write everything he seen. But when these seven thunders over in Revelations 10 uttered, he said, "Don't write them at all." They're mysteries. We don't know what they are yet; but my opinion they'll be revealed right away. And when it do, it'll give faith for that rapturing grace for that Church to move out. We just move through everything that we know of; through all the dispensations we've watched everything. We've seen the mysteries of God. We've seen the appearing of the great gathering together of the Bride in the last days,
but yet there's something in there that we just can't lighten ourself with.
There's something another.
But I imagine when them mysteries begins to come forth.
God said, "Hold it back now. Wait a minute. I'll reveal it in that day. Don't write it at all, John,
'cause they'll stagger over it.
Just let it go. (See?) But I'll reveal it in that day when it has need to done."
The first Thunder sounds and then the seven Thunders. But they are mysteries.
One month before he died, brother Branham was still waiting for that first single Thunder.
65-1127 I HAVE HEARD BUT NOW I SEE
Dear God, in this solemn moment,
it's going to be a time like this when there really will be a clap of thunder someday,
and the Son of God shall descend from the heavens with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and the trump of God, the dead in Christ shall rise.
Here he also places the "shout" into the future. But he said that the "shout" is the message. So, the message was not when he revealed the truth from Scripture. The message is when the Bride members are able to reveal the truth for themselves from the Scriptures.
62-1111 WHY I’M AGAINST ORGANIZED RELIGION
Notice, the 19th chapter is the next, "After these things." Did you notice here in the 19th chapter, "After these things"? Watch what? After what? After the Message of "Come out of her!"
"After these things," watch,
"is the shout of the Bride saints, with the Bridegroom, going to the Marriage of the Lamb."
The shout of the Bride saints is when they speak from an understanding of Scripture.
I CORINTHIANS 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
The religious leaders and political leaders in the days of Jesus did not understand Who Jesus was.
So, they condemned Him to death to protect their financial income and power over the people.
Jesus threw out the religious money-makers from the Temple on Palm Sunday and then again on the following Monday. Interfering with the religious leaders' money twice in two days! That was going too far. The Jewish religious leaders killed Him three days later on a Thursday. Never interfere with a pastor’s income.
People who prove what brother Branham taught, just using the Scriptures and not relying on selected quotes, are condemned by message-pastors. The pastors have to do this to protect their income and power over the people.
We simply cannot comprehend Heaven.
I CORINTHIANS 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
We cannot even begin to imagine what it is that God has prepared for genuine believers.
God’s Big Picture is far above what we can comprehend with our human minds.
I CORINTHIANS 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
We have to rely completely on a revelation from the Holy Spirit to illuminate God’s deeper thoughts. We will not puzzle it out by ourselves. God cannot explain Heaven to us as it is a higher dimension that we do not have the brain-power to grasp. Nor do we have the correct vocabulary to describe heavenly things.
But God alone can reveal to us what is going on down here on earth during the turbulent end-times. He alone can show us where we are and place our times in the Bible.
How do we know that God has taught us the truth?
All the different Scriptures will fit into the pattern that has been revealed. There will be no Scriptures that contradict what we believe.
I CORINTHIANS 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Each born-again believer receives a portion of the Spirit of God to guide that person to the position in God’s spiritual Temple that God has prepared for them. But God also has to prepare each person for their specific place in His Temple.
I CORINTHIANS 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Compare Scripture with Scripture. Join the Scriptures together to produce a deep spiritual pattern that runs through God’s Word. Only God can illuminate our minds to understand His deeper truths.
I CORINTHIANS 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Human reason can only produce facts and opinions and cannot interpret God’s secrets.
Truth is like surgery. It hurts but cures. A lie is like a pain-killer. It gives instant relief but has side effects forever.
We have to choose. We can step forward into growth or backward into our illusion of church safety.
People see what they want to see. What they want to see has little to do with truth.
People avoid any possibility of offending anyone, except God.
The Holy Spirit alone can open our eyes to deeper mysteries and Bible patterns.
Be ready to listen to Scriptural criticisms
Always learn. Mass delusion makes us blind to our own failings.
Our self-deluded, over-confident, and self-inflated ego is the “mother of all biases”.
I CORINTHIANS 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
All beliefs must run through the filter of God’s written Word.
The Word was judged on the cross and it survived intact.
Thus, the Word never has to be judged again.
If we fully believe the Word, then we do not have to be judged either.
I CORINTHIANS 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
The Spirit operates in our minds. When the Holy Ghost baptism brings Christ’s Spirit into our minds, then Christ’s thinking will dominate our minds. We cannot teach God. But God’s Spirit in us is essential if we are to be taught by God.
57-0922 HEBREWS CHAPTER SEVEN.2
And if this Church isn't perfectly, just exactly the same Spirit that was in Christ, you'll never go in the Rapture.
Christ always replied to a question with the classic words, “It is written …”
Today that has been replaced by, "I have a quote".
Thus the stars (the preachers) fall from heaven. They fall from their heavenly calling of being Scriptural.
I CORINTHIANS 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
A great mystery lies in the future. The Coming of the Lord. This mystery is held by the seven mysterious Thunders. The seven Thunders will produce the changing of our bodies.
63-0318 THE FIRST SEAL
And then there's coming forth seven mysterious thunders that's not even written at all. That's right.
And I believe that through those seven thunders will be revealed in the last days in order to get the Bride together for rapturing faith;
because what we got right now, we wouldn't be able to do it. There's something we've got to step farther; we can't have enough faith for Divine healing hardly.
We've got to have enough faith to be changed in a moment and be swept up out of this earth,
I CORINTHIANS 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
We cannot be raptured in our present bodies.
We need a new immortal body if we are to step out of time and space.
Only then can we get caught up to a timeless Heaven for the Wedding Supper.
Our future depends on our ability to understand the single Thunder and the 7 Thunders when they utter their strange voices.
The resurrection of the dead will trigger off these final events.
Matthew Chapter 13 refers to 7 parables that describe the 7 church ages.
Jesus starts by telling us that we need an ear that can tune in to what the Spirit says to each age.
MATTHEW 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Each church age ends with the words:
REVELATION 3:13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
The seven church ages are a deep mystery. Only God’s Spirit can reveal it to your mind.
MATTHEW 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
The 7 parables in Matthew Chapter 13 are mysterious and impossible for the natural mind to understand. God did it that way because He only wants His Bride, who love His Scriptural thinking, to be able to understand them.
MATTHEW 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
God will only reveal these deeper mysteries to a select few, His Scripture-loving Bride.
All the message-churches will hear the quotes, but only some individuals will get the revelation that we have to be Scriptural. That the quotes have to be proven from Bible verses.
The quotes are to explain the Scripture, not to replace the Scripture.
MATTHEW 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
If you begin to understand the Bible mysteries and stand in awe of God’s Great Plan, then God will reveal more of His Plan to you.
Revelation means comparing Scripture with Scripture. As you build up your revelation with more and more Bible verses, so you get to understand more and more Bible verses. By understanding even more Bible verses, you gain a deeper and deeper revelation.
The two concepts of "Bible verses" and "revelation" interact with each other and depend on each other.
The more Bible verses you understand, the deeper your revelation grows.
But if you doubt that the 1769 Version of the King James Bible is the Absolute Truth, you will start to change, or ignore, or disagree, with certain Scriptures. You will regard quotes as more important than written Scripture. Then you will stop proving what you believe from Scripture. Your knowledge of Scripture will become superficial because you no longer regard the Bible as the Absolute Truth.
The fewer Bible verses you understand, the poorer your revelation becomes.
MATTHEW 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Jesus uses parables that cannot be properly understood by the superficial Christians who are happy to believe what is not written in Scripture.
They will believe Trinity, Christmas, brother Branham is the Voice of God, and the 1963 cloud was the coming down of the mighty Angel of Revelation Chapter 10.
Then they will claim to know the unwritten mysteries. They think they know what the 7 Thunders are, what the new name of the Lord is, and falsely claim to know all about the silence of the Seventh Seal.
They have thus “seen” or imagined various plausible beliefs by joining up selected quotes, but have absolutely no idea how to prove what they “see” by joining up Bible verses.
If we do not remain strictly Scriptural, then we can listen to tapes but will fail to unlock the secrets of the Bible.
We have to use the quotes to explain the Bible, but we must not be fooled into replacing the Bible with the quotes.
MATTHEW 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
We do not understand what we are talking about unless we can explain a doctrine just by interpreting a Scripture in terms of other Scriptures.
MATTHEW 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
People allowed their pastors, who falsely claim to be Bible teachers, to take them away from the written Scriptures.
They build up their doctrines on human quotes and opinions. That is no way to gain a deeper insight into the Scripture.
God does not want that attitude towards His major aim for our age, which is the revelation or understanding of Bible mysteries.
MATTHEW 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
We must make the Bible great again.
Those who can prove their beliefs by explaining Scripture in terms of other Scriptures are blessed. They should be extremely happy that God has opened their eyes to His truth.
That is God’s main desire for the end-time.
God wants to have people that God can explain His deeper truths to. God wants us to marvel at His way of thinking. He wants us to admire the Big Plan that He is bringing to pass.
MATTHEW 13:17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Revelation is progressive as our understanding develops
As we understand more Scriptures, so the revelation deepens and becomes clearer. Then we can see the details of prophecies that were made long ago. Those great prophets and godly men wanted to understand what was written but they were not allowed to see the answer in their days.
Now we can see the revealed Word. So, it is a great privilege for us. If we ignore the revealed Scriptures, we will have no excuse. We simply neglect to understand what great men in the past wanted to understand.
That lack of interest in understanding Scripture is our downfall.
That attitude will push us into the 3.5 years of great Tribulation with all its horrors.
MATTHEW 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
The first parable in Matthew Chapter 13 is about the sower. The only good ground is the receptive soil (minds) that accepted the Seed Word that the apostles preached in the first church age. They were able to understand the Scriptures.
These Seed-beliefs died and were buried in the dirt of the Dark Ages, the fourth church age. Then they began to germinate in the Reformation of Martin Luther in Germany.
Martin Luther restored justification by faith alone in Christ. That fifth church age of Sardis (The ones who “escaped” from the Catholic church) had about thirty percent of the full truth.
John Wesley in the 6th church age of Philadelphia (brotherly love) restored holiness and outreach. That sparked the Golden missionary age. They had about 60% of the Bible truth. They were the pollen that blew over the field (the world).
The Pentecostals restored the Holy Ghost baptism, and then William Branham restored the revelation of the deep Bible mysteries. The end-time church should now be able to understand all the Bible mysteries, 100%, that are needed to prepare us for the Coming of the Lord. The final Seed that is harvested has to be identical to the original Seed that was planted in the first church age.
The revelation of truth was progressive. Revelation kept increasing as the last three church ages unfolded.
The truth of the first church age (which Seed was planted) would be restored over three church ages after it was dead and buried in the Dark Age of Thyatira, the dominating woman. This was the Roman Catholic Church that ruled Europe.
MATTHEW 13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
The last church age is the age of the interNET, where the truth sweeps through cyberspace and carries information through the sea of restless nations.
MATTHEW 13:48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
In the fulness of time, people will be put into two categories. Those few who used the internet to download and discuss the information that could help them to find the revealed Truth. The others neglected to use this opportunity to search for revealed Bible truth. They just clung onto their church beliefs. That is the lazier option, as it requires less thinking.
MATTHEW 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
The angels do the separating. So, the revelation of the final mysteries is a high-level spiritual event. We need the spiritual help of angels to help us understand the teachings of the Holy Spirit. To see the truth is difficult, and we need all the supernatural help that we can get.
But those who lack interest in Bible-truths will be cast into the 3.5 years of great Tribulation. Their errors and wrong attitude towards the truth will be burned off them in that awful inferno.
MATTHEW 13:50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
The awful fate of those who did not appreciate the value of the revealed Bible mysteries.
MATTHEW 13:51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
In this seventh age Jesus asked if they understood.
Understanding the truth was the good ground of the first age parable.
When the truth is finally made known in the seventh age, Jesus expects us to understand again.
Restoring the seventh church age back to the beliefs of the first church age is crucial as far a God is concerned.
Revelation uncovers patterns in the Bible
MATTHEW 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder,
which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
"New and old". New details that fit into the old patterns that were established in the Bible.
The human heart is the throne that Jesus wants to rule our lives from.
There are four beasts around the throne in Heaven.
REVELATION 4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
This pattern matches our modern knowledge that the heart has four chambers.
So, the Book of Acts described how Jesus ruled the early church after the Holy Ghost entered the believers on the Day of Pentecost.
The Book of Acts was protected by the four Gospels which described God’s salvation Plan.
Matthew the Lion described Jesus as the King, the Lion of Judah, descended from king David.
Mark described Jesus as the calf which grows to be an Ox and works hard as a Servant and is then killed for its valuable meat. Christ’s biggest service was to die for our sins and carry our sins far away down to hell and dump them on the Devil.
Luke describes Jesus as the perfect Man. Only in Luke does Jesus offer salvation to the dying thief on the cross. Only in Luke do we learn of the forgiveness granted to the prodigal son. As a fellow kinsman, Jesus understands that we weak humans need mercy if we have the sense to repent. Luke is the only Gospel that does not mention Jesus walking on the water. A Man does not walk on water! So Luke ignores this incident.
John sees Jesus as God Himself, the flying eagle with its marvelous eyesight or insight into Bible revelations.
Then we extend this pattern as we see Jesus living in born-again hearts of the Christians in the church ages.
The revelation is progressive, it keeps unfolding.
The four beasts around the throne describe the 7 church ages that are revealed in the first four Seals.
The lion-beast represents the apostolic truths of our King Jesus. The lion is called the king of the beasts.
Then came 1200 years of Dark Ages which gave the calf time to grow into an ox that represented the slaughter of tens of millions of Christians by the Roman Catholic Church.
Then the wisdom of human scholarship enabled men like Luther to restore salvation by grace through faith. In this age when God inspired human thinking, scholars translated the King James Bible.
At the time of the man-beast, John Wesley restored holiness and the missionaries did magnificent worldwide outreach to the lost.
The inspired thinking of the King James Bible translators can no longer be repeated in our age because God has now moved on to inspiring the flying eagle in the air. The magnificent eyesight or insight into the mysteries of God, taught by William Branham. These revealed mysteries are now literally in the air, like a flying eagle, as internet websites transfer this vital information.
Both the church had 7 ages and the Jews also had 7 ages
COLOSSIANS 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
The Jews also went through seven "church" ages in the past.
EPHESIANS 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
There were seven Jewish messengers who established a pattern that would be repeated in the 7 church ages.
The first church age of Ephesus.
REVELATION 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Abraham, the first Jewish messenger, left his wife Sarah for the Egyptian woman Hagar.
The second church age of Smyrna.
REVELATION 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold,
the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried;
Joseph, the second Jewish messenger, was thrown into prison to try him.
PSALM 105:17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
:18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
Iron fetters kept the prisoners in jail.
:19 Until the time that his word came:
the word of the LORD tried him.
The third church age of Pergamos.
REVELATION 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam,
Balaam was the enemy of Moses, the third Jewish messenger.
The fourth church age of Thyatira in the Dark Ages.
REVELATION 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel,
Jezebel was the enemy of Elijah, the fourth Jewish messenger.
Jezebel and Ahab were the Dark Ages of Jewish apostacy.
54-0509 THE INVASION OF THE UNITED STATES
And notice, just as Ahab married Jezebel
during the time of that great dark age of Israel,
he brought idolatry into Israel, a very type of today.
The fifth church age of Sardis.
Ezra took the treasure back to the Temple.
Martin Luther restored the treasure of “salvation by faith” back into the church.
Scholars translated the Hebrew and Greek into the King James Version of the Bible, which is the greatest treasure of the English language that would spread around the world.
The sixth church age of Philadelphia, brotherly love.
John Wesley in England restored holiness and outreach which led to the golden missionary age.
Nehemiah rebuilt the strong walls of Jerusalem to protect the city.
Brotherly love, holiness, and evangelism to save the heathen are the basic strength and protection of the Christian experience.
Seventh church age.
John the Baptist, as the 7th messenger to the Jews, revealed Jesus as a Man walking amongst men.
William Branham revealed Jesus as the Word of God, as He walks through the pages of the Bible as the revealed mysteries that can be understood at the end-time.
EPHESIANS 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
God told Paul that He is going to build up a spiritual church during the next 2000 years of the seven church ages.
EPHESIANS 2:7 That in the ages to come
he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
The 2000 years of church history will be broken up into different ages.
The clue lies in the fact that it is verse 7. Seven ages will unfold as time rolls by.
EPHESIANS 3:3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ )
Paul had a deep revelation of the pattern of events for the 7 church ages, both to the Jews in the past and to the church in the future.
GALATIANS 2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
God revealed by revelation to Paul, all the mysteries that the other apostles had learned.
I CORINTHIANS 14:6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
Paul had received deep revelations from God which enabled him to link the Old and New Testaments together.
He was a skilled tent-maker and God revealed to him how to sew the two opposites, Law and Grace, together.
Revelation shows us that Grace fulfills the Law
Jesus is our Passover Lamb.
Chosen on the 10th day and killed on the 14th day.
Jesus was publicly chosen on Palm Sunday which was the 10th day. Then the 14th day would be Thursday when He died.
EXODUS 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
EXODUS 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
That way He could spend three nights in the tomb. Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday night before He arose early on Sunday morning.
MATTHEW 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Predestination and free-will had to unite together. Predestination is God knowing in advance who would willingly surrender their self-will and accept God’s Will, which is His Word, to guide them. Those people would obviously make it to Heaven.
The Godhead is a great revelation.
How Jesus could be Man and God at the same time?
COLOSSIANS 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Jesus had a human nature but He also had the fullness of God in Him as a supernatural Spirit.
You have a conscious and a subconscious mind in you. You remain one person.
Similarly, Jesus had a conscious and a subconscious (human) as well as a (supernatural) mind. But He remains one Person.
How Father, Son, and Holy Ghost could be one Person, Jesus Christ.
Jesus was Emmanuel, God with us.
JOHN 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; ... but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are the three manifestations of God. Above the Jews, with the Jews, and in the Church believers.
I TIMOTHY 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,
I CORINTHIANS 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
Christians meeting together are not just to be dominated by one man.
Everyone has a revelation, an understanding of some part of Scripture.
REVELATION 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
We have no excuse if we are not able to understand the written mysteries of Scripture at the end time.
We learn to understand the Bible by listening to the quotes from the “voice of the seventh angel”.
We were never promised the “Voice of God”. That is a deception that takes us away from Scripture.
II PETER 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
No one person can claim special insight into Scripture. Each Scripture must be explained in terms of other Scriptures. Meaning is always defined by other Scriptures, not by some person's opinion.
We must check every revelation.
II PETER 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things;
in which are some things hard to be understood,
which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Some Scriptures are very hard to understand and it will be hard work to unravel them.
The Bible is not always easy to understand.
It requires a dedicated effort. Not a casual interest.
Brother Branham could not find time to cover every point. So he just hit the highlights and we have to do enough research in the Bible to complete the picture.
63-0321 THE FOURTH SEAL
And now, of course I don't try to pull out every Scripture in there,
and there's things that you can't even speak about;
take too much time.
But I try to place out here with Scriptures and so forth just enough to give the people so it'll let them know and see the picture of it.
But if you'd set down with one of them Seals, why, my, you could take a month's sermons every night right on that Seal
and still not even touch it (See?), on one of them. And that's how much there is to it.
But I just hit the high spots of it, then you can see what it's all about.
II PETER 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
1769 King James Version of the Bible is the absolute truth and has no mistakes.
We must never be led away by clever reasonings that prove that we cannot have a perfect Bible.
We must never deny that Jesus Christ is Almighty God just because everyone else says that He is just part of the Trinity.
II PETER 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
The whole Bible is designed to increase our knowledge and understanding of Jesus and His great salvation Plan.
We must have a desire to seek and understand God.
Jesus must always be our central focus, not some man
II SAMUEL 5:12 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
David had to meditate for a long time before he realized that God had made him king for the benefit of the people of Israel. Not for his own glory.
God’s purpose is not always simple to understand.
Exalting a man can be dangerous. Very few kings of Israel served God all their lives.
David was the first good king but he was also the only king who abdicated.
God’s Plan is a mixture of lifting up and pulling down.
We have to be very careful not to exalt ourselves.
Our walk with God is a relationship that has to grow all the time.
We have to keep searching, keep learning.
When David sat still, he got into trouble with Bathsheba.
When an eagle stops, it drops.
If you have arrived, you are at a dead-end in the road.
If you follow the herd, you eat dust. Just like the serpent.
