Revelation 10 is badly misunderstood, part 1

2 clouds were over Flagstaff on 28 February 1963

REVELATION 10:1   “And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

:2     And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

:3     And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

:4     And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.”

A cloud appeared briefly at sunset for 28 minutes on 28 February 1963 over the city of Flagstaff in Arizona, North America.

Was this cloud a sign that God was going to reveal the mysteries of the Seven Seals?

Or was this cloud an event, the coming down of the mighty Angel in Revelation Chapter 10? You must decide.

Dr. James E. McDonald photographed the cloud from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the University of Arizona, Tucson.  Many other people were intrigued by the cloud and also photographed it.

Surprisingly, some photographs from the Winslow area revealed that there were two clouds.

Most people ignore this fact. But it was the big cloud that attracted much attention and caused much speculation.

Speculation breeds misunderstanding and error.

We need to tread carefully to see through all the propaganda and find the truth.

Let us review the known facts; then you can form your own opinion about this cloud.

The first photo below appeared on the back cover of the 17 May 1963 edition of  Life magazine.

The height of this cloud was about 42 or 43  kilometers.  There is no face visible in this Cloud photograph.

Then a photostat of the above photograph from the back cover of Life magazine was made (shown below).

Some features of a dark face appeared on the photostat as some light leaked into the picture.

This photostat seems to indicate the face of Christ wearing a white Judge's wig. The supreme Judge Who will judge us by His Word.

The importance then is that the mysteries of the Bible must be revealed so that we can understand and live by the revealed Scriptures of our day, as those Scriptures are going to judge us.

If that is so, how does this cloud help us to understand the mysteries of the written Bible?

Remember, God will never judge a person without first warning him or her.

[The following information is supplied by Believe the Sign. "When William Branham first attributed facial features to the cloud in the sermon 'It is the Rising of the Sun' (April 18, 1965), he was not looking at the original Life Magazine photograph. Rather, he was referring to a duotone (halftone) facsimile of the picture that brother Pearry Green had obtained from Shirley Abbott Studios of Beaumont, Texas. It appears that deficiencies in the reproduction process created some patterns of lighter and darker shading not present in the original picture, some of which appeared to suggest two eyes and a nose.]

It seems that some light leaked into one corner of the photostat machine.

Many message-pastors, mistakingly convinced that the cloud was photographed above Sunset Peak or Sunset Mountain, then produced this picture. (Message-people call themselves followers of William Branham).

The photograph has been rotated through ninety degrees. The ground had been cut off because there was no mountain below it. The cloud was 200 miles north of Sunset Mountain. Thus, this picture was simply Fake News. The cloud was never over Sunset Mountain.

The events of 28 February 1963 all started with a colossal explosion about 43 kilometers in the sky above Vandenberg AirForce Base on the Californian coast which is about 510 miles to the west of Flagstaff.  This caused a huge cloud of smoke and explosion debris that went east, slightly north of the cities of Flagstaff and Winslow towards New Mexico. The cloud altitude there was estimated at about 43 kilometers.

Photographs of the cloud taken from the cities of Prescott, Phoenix, and Tucson were more of a side view of the main cloud.

But what baffled Dr. McDonald was a photograph from the Winslow area which was more of a frontal view of the approaching cloud.  But it showed two clouds.

The smaller smoke cloud, seen just to the right of the triangular roof, was about 20 miles northwest behind the bigger cloud that had attracted all the attention. One cloud he could account for by the smoke of the explosion, but there was no natural cause for a second cloud. This is the reason that he called it a mystery Cloud.

Spelling Cloud with a capital C helps to stop muddling it up with the other smoke cloud. So that we know which cloud we are talking about.

Natural clouds do not form at 43 km, as the air is too dry and air particles are too far apart. Smoke from the massive rocket explosion caused the smaller cloud.  This left the main Cloud unexplained and opened the door to a possible supernatural explanation.

Let us refresh the history of this event that produced the smoke cloud.

On February 28, 1963, a Thrust assisted Thor Agenda D rocket (named after the Norse god of thunder) was launched from the secret Point Mugu pad 75-3-5  at Vandenberg air force base on the coast of California. The rocket had three extra solid-state boosters strapped on and was carrying a military Keyhole 4 spy satellite. It veered off course and was intentionally destroyed at 1:52 in the afternoon at an estimated height of about 43 kilometers. When the extra boosters exploded they added an enormous amount of smoke and debris which would make the smoke cloud much larger than normal. The early explosion before the rocket had gained too much height meant there was still a lot of fuel in the rocket which also added to the explosion smoke.

But there is so little air at this height that the smoke particles spread far away from each other to become very thin and thus they reflect hardly any light. Therefore the smoke cloud is not visible in bright sunlight against the glare of the blue sky.

The cloud would only become visible at sunset as the sky darkened, about four hours later.

By then the smoke cloud was in the vicinity of Flagstaff where it finally became visible.

That explains why no cloud was seen between Vandenberg and Flagstaff.

No secondary or side explosion was recorded when the Thor rocket exploded. No jet aircraft or other rockets were recorded in that vicinity. Dr. McDonald’s report was gathered from about 85 photographs of the Cloud. A difficulty was that the rocket explosion was at first denied by the military, and then much later admitted by them.

Noctilucent clouds (meaning they shine only at night) are only visible around sunrise or sunset. Just like you can normally only see the International Space Station near sunrise or sunset when it reflects the sunlight from a darker background.

High up in the sky, between 20 kilometers and 80 kilometers, there is such a strong vacuum that any water vapour particles or smoke particles or other chemicals that man can spray up there, using jet airplanes or rockets, are initially concentrated and visible but soon move far away from each other in the thin air. Then they are too thinly spread out for us to see against the bright blue sky. But when the sky darkens at sunset as the sun sinks behind the horizon, the sunlight misses the normal natural lower clouds (below 20 kilometers) that become dark.  But the sunlight can reflect off very high artificial man-made clouds (between 20 and 80 km) that will suddenly become visible for a brief while after sunset. No natural clouds normally exist between 20 and 80 kilometers.

This was part of the attraction of the main Cloud. A massive, beautiful Cloud just seemed to be suddenly and spectacularly etched out high in the sky. The normal clouds were already dark, so this Cloud had to be very high.

There were two clouds that appeared over Flagstaff moving from the west to the east.

One cloud had natural causes, the smoke of an exploded rocket at Vandenberg Airforce Base. There is no natural noctilucent cloud that forms between 20 km and 80 km in height. Thus the main Cloud has a mysterious origin, made by angel wings.

Place these 2 clouds in Scripture as signs and wonders

Let us not forget the high-altitude mushroom clouds from the atomic bombs that ended World War 2. Let us start with them.

JOEL 2:30   And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

"Pillars". Plural. Two pillars of smoke rose about 18 kilometers above Hiroshima and about 13 kilometers above Nagasaki as a result of the two atom bombs in 1945. The lingering deadly radiation from the bombs was a curse.

"Heavens" plural. Two different places, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombs were dropped 3 days apart.

MALACHI 4:5   Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

:6   ... lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

The atomic bombs were the biggest shock wave of modern life. Phenomenally high pillars of smoke as Joel had prophesied. A sign that there was going to be a big shift in our thinking. Mankind now had the power to destroy themselves and Armageddon suddenly looked like a real possibility.

1945 saw the two atomic explosions that shocked the whole world into a wakeup call that things were changing.

1947 would be a key year for three aspects of this future change.

In 1947 William Branham began recording his sermons. God was intending to use William Branham as the "voice of the seventh angel", by recording his sermons between 1947 and 1965, to finally reveal the spiritual understanding of the Bible to the wise virgins of Matthew Chapter 25. (The New Testament never promised the "Voice of God". That is fake news).

DANIEL 12:10   ... but the wise shall understand.

And, in 1947, God was about to let the United Nations give the Jews a portion of their Promised Land that they could fight for.

And, in 1947, God was about to allow three Americans to discover the transistor which would transform electronics and enable people to build small computers, satellites, and mobile phones. That enabled the development of the internet so that the Bible truth could reach all the world.

MATTHEW 24:14   And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The important ideas that started in 1947 were introduced by the seismic shock of World War 2 and its atomic bombs.

JOEL 2:30   And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

"Blood and fire" from the greatest human war, World War 2, that killed about 70 million people. Ending with the most awfully destructive weapons of war. The deadly radiation and destructive power were a grim warning in 1945 of the oncoming nuclear holocaust in the future 3.5 years of great Tribulation.

The tape recorder was invented during the war to receive messages from spies who could only broadcast at odd times. After the war the tape recorder was released to the public.

Then God sent brother Branham in 1947 to start revealing the Bible mysteries. This sent a spiritual shock wave through the church world. This new understanding of Scripture was needed to shock the Bride out of the complacent churches.

We need to understand the hidden Bible mysteries to escape from the 3.5 years of great Tribulation by being caught up to meet the Lord in the air. The seven Thunders will produce the changing of our bodies. But we need to understand the written Bible well if we are to recognize these mysterious unwritten Thunders.

The Gospel returns to the Jews during great Tribulation. The Jews had an awful preview of this time during World War 2 in the Holocaust when Hitler murdered 6 million Jews. After the War, the nations briefly felt sorry for the Jews and allowed the United Nations to offer them a small portion of the Promised Land in 1947. That area got enlarged during the war of 1948 and the Six Day War of 1967.

Peter slightly changed the prophecy of Joel

Now we must deal with a big puzzle, a slightly changed prophecy.

On the Day of Pentecost, Peter modified Joel's prophecy.

ACTS 2:17   And it shall come to pass in the last days,...

"Last days" is plural. Two days. 2000 years. The end-time will be in the last of the two days.

God's day is 1000 years.

II PETER 3:8   But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

God's church is on earth for two days,

from AD 33 to some unknown time after 2023, where we are at the time of writing. That is roughly 2000 years.

ACTS 2:19   And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath;

blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

"Heaven". Singular. One place, just north of Flagstaff in northern Arizona. 28 February 1963.

Water vapour makes a rain cloud. So "vapour of smoke" will make a smoke cloud.

Thus a smoke cloud was prophesied by Peter.

"Blood". The shocking assassination of President Kennedy in 1963. His blood on his wife's dress. Lyndon Johnson took over and in 1965 foolishly escalated the Vietnam war in "blood and fire" with about 58000 American soldiers being killed. Historians say that between 1965 and 1980 America did its best to commit suicide.

Then there is also the sign of the Son of Man in the heavens, spoken of by Matthew which is something supernatural. A supernatural Cloud can be formed by the wings of supernatural angels.

MATTHEW 24:30    And then shall appear the

sign of the Son of man in heaven:

A big error is to mistake the sign in the sky for the actual event.

The diagram below is not a photograph of the Cloud of 1963. It is just a diagram to show how noctilucent clouds can be seen at sunset because they reflect the light of the setting sun.

Let us refresh the laws of nature that make clouds.

Normal clouds are made from water vapour.  Smoke from a fire or explosion can also make a smoke cloud.

Clouds cannot form naturally at a height of 43 kilometers as 99% of the water vapour in the atmosphere is found below the altitude of 20 kilometers. Most clouds reach an upper limit of not more than 14 kilometers. A few stratospheric clouds may rise to around 20 kilometers. Above 20 kilometers the air is too dry as there is virtually no water vapour to form a cloud.

Smoke disperses as it rises into the sky. Smoke never naturally rises from the ground to such a colossal height of 43 km.

To make a cloud at a height of 43 kilometers requires artificially adding water vapour from the exhaust fumes of a rocket or jet plane or creating smoke by exploding a rocket.

When fuel burns it forms water vapour and carbon dioxide as exhaust gases. One litre of petrol can form a litre of water when it burns. But engines are hot and turn the water to water vapour or steam which is invisible, so we cannot see it.

In 2012 NASA made high-altitude clouds by spraying out chemicals high in the atmosphere.

But this is a recent innovation. There is no report that they did this way back on 28 February 1963.

The main Cloud had a circumference of 150 kilometers. This is exceptionally huge. Jet engines leave a condensed trail (contrail) of water vapour that condenses into a straight line cloud behind them. No jet can fly horizontally at an altitude of 43 kilometers for such a distance. Propeller-driven planes cannot fly this high as the air is just too thin.

But on 28 February 1963, there were no jets or rockets flying in that area. There was only one explosion.

The next picture shows the water vapour in the exhaust fumes of a jet engine.

Brother Branham was 200 miles away from the clouds

Now for some hard facts.

Brother Branham was hunting in the morning near Sunset Peak, but the Cloud was only visible at sunset for 28 minutes. The Cloud appeared on 28 February 1963 and the hunting season only opened on 1 March. According to his daughter Rebekah Smith, the 7 angels came to him on 8 March 1963.

The angels only came 8 days after the Cloud was seen.

As much as we love William Branham, let us concede that he got his facts wrong when he said that the angels who left him that morning went up into the air to form the Cloud (after sunset). The Cloud was formed 8 days earlier.

But he was recalling events that happened about 3 months before. I would be equally haywire if I had to tell you what I was doing 3 months ago. So give the man a break. He is human. He makes mistakes. Let him who has never had a faulty memory cast the first stone.

Brother Branham was unfortunately trying to explain how the Cloud formed. Thus he was speculating. He knew angel wings could form the Cloud.

But he had the wrong date, the wrong place, and the wrong time of day.

This should warn us not to speculate. We should just stay with known facts.

Do not interpret facts to make them mean what you want them to mean.

We easily become prisoners of our own thoughts.

So, brother Branham was not in the right place at the right time if he wanted to see the Cloud forming.

Einstein was a natural genius who easily confused basic facts.

Can a uniquely gifted man make such a big blunder over simple things like time and place?

Let us make a comparison with Einstein.

The greatest scientific genius of the last century was Albert Einstein.

When at Princeton he once had to phone the university to ask for his home address. He had clean forgotten how to get home. So he had problems remembering where he had been earlier that morning.

He once left home after telling his wife who he was going to see and where this person was. Twenty minutes later he phoned his wife to ask where he should be going and who he was supposed to be seeing. So does a genius forget basic facts? Far more often than what you realize. You and I recall basic facts far better than they do.

We just cannot match their thinking about important subjects.

Einstein’s wife left him at home with a pot on the stove to look after, while she was out quickly shopping. Fortunately, a friend came to visit and walked into a smoke-filled flat. Einstein was coughing and gasping more than usual but was totally unaware that the flat was full of smoke. He had clean forgotten about the burnt food in the pot. He was even unaware of all the smoke. He was focusing on his calculations.

He invented the theory of relativity. It is still regarded as the greatest science theory ever to emerge from a single brain. His equations said that the universe expands. This was a revolutionary thought. No one had ever thought of that, so he ignored his equations and

formed his own personal opinion

that the universe does not expand.  Then he changed his equations to fit his opinion and made what he later called “the biggest blunder of my life”. So a genius will mess up on simple issues and big issues. Does that make him some kind of fraud? Not at all.

We just have to correct what Einstein got wrong. But we learned an amazing amount from what he got right. He created twentieth-century physics and was voted person of the century in 1999, despite making many other mistakes too.

But wow, what he got right was spectacular and way above our ability. To look at a genius and criticize him for his faults is very small-minded. Very petty. Despite his mistakes, none of us are on Einstein’s level scientifically. And we also owe him a great debt. He established the theory that led to the invention of lasers. Queues in supermarkets move much faster than in the past because lasers rapidly scan the bar code of each item much faster than a person could type in the price and item. Lasers perform eye surgery, play DVD music, and have many other uses for which we need to say, “Thanks to Einstein”. He could forget simple basic facts, but his science was exceptional, and oh so useful.

His opinions were not always correct but his equations were amazing. GPS was never too accurate until Einstein's theory of relativity corrected it. Einstein got lost himself but thanks to him, GPS stops us from getting lost.

His revolutionary ideas laid the foundation for modern physics that led to computers and smartphones and the GPS system, which is brilliant. Sadly, his most famous equation E = m c²  led to the atomic bomb. There he made a big blunder, as atomic bombs are a curse that lingers in terms of their long-lived and deadly radioactivity. The last word in the Old Testament in the Book of Malachi is “curse”. Part of this is the world’s future atomic destruction and the curse of the lingering radioactivity. This is an unfortunate legacy of Einstein’s brilliance because ironically he was a pacifist who regretted the development of the bomb.

MALACHI 4:5   Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet

before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

:6     And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and

smite the earth with a curse.

Sadly, Einstein, the greatest scientific genius of the last century, helped us down the path of natural knowledge by starting to unlock the deep secrets of the atom. This path led to the atomic bomb and our future holocaust of fire from the sky (as nuclear bombs explode high up in the air, around 600 metres, to maximize the destructive effect of their firestorm) and the resulting long-lived deadly radiation.

Brother Branham was the spiritual genius.

But before the earth gets smitten by a curse of radioactivity, God promised us the greatest spiritual genius of the last century. A prophet who would unlock the deep secrets of the Bible, to turn the hearts of the end-time, Christian children, back to the beliefs of the apostles, who were the Christian fathers who wrote the New Testament. This man was William Branham.

So the last verse of the Old Testament intertwines the legacy of brother Branham (the spiritual genius or prophet who restores us to New Testament knowledge) and Einstein, the natural genius who developed scientific knowledge and thereby helped create mankind’s biggest curse, the atomic and hydrogen bomb.

At the beginning of the Old Testament, the tree of life (the Spirit of Christ) was also intertwined in the midst of the garden of Eden with the tree of knowledge (the spirit of Satan).

Adam and the woman had to leave the tree of knowledge alone in the midst of the garden. But the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden. For both of them to be in the centre or midst of the garden, they had to be intertwined. In Eden, the greatest battle ever fought began. The battle between the spirit of human knowledge, wisdom, and speculation, versus the Holy Spirit that produces faith in God’s Word.

GENESIS 3:3   But of the fruit of

the tree which is in the midst of the garden,

God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it,

lest ye die.

GENESIS 2:9   And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food;

the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,

and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The tree of Life was Bible knowledge.

The tree of knowledge was human knowledge.

Their battleground is the human brain. We end up either believing the Bible or what some man says.

A sign followed by a commission and then the event

In the end time, it is time for God to start revealing the deep mysteries of the Bible.

God prepared a heavenly sign of two clouds forming reasonably close together at a height where natural clouds cannot form.

The smoke from the spy satellite-carrying rocket that exploded represents the failure of scientific knowledge in their attempts to spy out and reveal all the enemy secrets from above.

The main Cloud was caused by the supernatural angels who would later in March 1963 spend a week bringing down the secrets of the Seven Seals from Heaven that would reveal the mysteries in the Bible that would restore us back to the New Testament church.

The angels did not bring down any secrets on 28 February 1963 as they stayed at 43 kilometers in the air.

On 28 February the angels formed the cloud that was just a sign in the heaven to attract attention.

But on 8 March when the 7 angels visited brother Branham invisibly to everyone else, they formed no cloud on that day. Nor did they bring down any secrets on that day. They came down to give him a commission to go back to Jeffersonville and preach on the revelation of the Seven Seals.

65-1127   TRYING TO DO GOD A SERVICE WITHOUT IT BEING GOD'S WILL

"And I looked, and standing before me stood seven Angels; just exactly the way it was. I felt like I was standing way up off the ground. First, I thought somebody had shot me, you know, with that black hat on; looked like a javelina hog, anyhow, you know they're dark. I thought somebody had shot me, such a... right close. And I seen then what it was. Well, as soon as I got my commission, and the Scripture, 'The Seven Seals which is the seven mysteries.' See?"

That happened between 17 March and 24 March, 1963. That is when the angels brought down the secrets from Heaven that exposed the antichrist spirits in the churches.

That great event was the revealing of the Seven Seals.

Understanding the Bible mysteries is far more important than what we realize.

Also, there was no one down below at the city of Flagstaff who was spiritual enough to receive the secrets.

Only a prophet could cope in that spiritual dimension but brother Branham was in Tucson, about 200 miles south of Flagstaff where the Cloud suddenly appeared in the sky at sunset.

There are no published photos showing the Cloud moving south to Sunset peak. It took four hours for the smoke cloud to cover the 510 miles from Vandenberg to Flagstaff moving at roughly 135 miles per hour. No wind speed records were made above Vandenberg Airbase on 28 February. So nobody can prove the speed of the travel of the smoke cloud as nobody knows what the wind speed was.  Our evidence is simply that there were two clouds over Flagstaff. So the smoke cloud got to Flagstaff in time to be photographed. That is a fact.

The Cloud near Flagstaff after sunset on 28 February, formed by the wings of angels, could not have been formed 8 days later by those 7 angels after they left brother Branham soon after 8 o'clock in the morning at Sunset Peak on 8 March. So brother Branham never stood below the Cloud.

Please remember that when you defend brother Branham’s wrong statements, you do not establish the truth and you merely make his critics more skeptical as they know you are not telling the truth. How can this Message reveal the truth if we spend time and effort trying to justify a mistake?

We must learn to acknowledge his mistakes, correct them, and move on.

Brother Branham got his facts and figures wrong. That is obvious. Does that mean he was a fraud?

John the Baptist came to prepare people for the First Coming of Jesus.

LUKE 1: 17     And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias,

to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,

and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

John the Baptist was that great prophet who turned the disobedient Jewish fathers who kept the Law, to the wisdom of their just children, Jesus, and His disciples. These children, the disciples, then matured and became the apostolic fathers of the New Testament Christian faith. We, as end-time children, must be restored back to these apostolic fathers and their New Testament beliefs.

We can easily assume that John, as a great prophet who was the forerunner of the First Coming, obviously never made any mistakes. Not so. He offered Jesus the greatest insult possible. Having introduced Him as the Messiah, he then sent two disciples to ask Jesus if He was the Messiah. What was the response of Jesus? Did He condemn John for this awful mistake? Not at all. Jesus complimented John for what he got right and referred John to the Scriptures that would correct his gross error.

So that is my approach as there is no better role model than Jesus.

If the Message that prepares us for the Second Coming contains a mistake, then we correct that mistake. Repeating a mistake will never establish the truth. But correction does not involve any condemnation nor belittling of William Branham. We compliment him on what he got right. He still remains the Elijah who was promised to restore us back to the early church.

MATTHEW 17:11    And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

His particular genius lay in revealing the mysteries of the Bible.

Brother Branham was never sent to teach us geography. So if he got his whereabouts wrong, as Einstein also managed to do, and got his dates wrong, then we overlook these faults in favour of the brilliant Bible truths that he did get right.

(If you think that a prophet has to get everything in his life right then you are mistaken. Check out the famous heroes of the faith in Hebrews chapter 11. We can find many mistakes that these people made. That however did not disqualify them as great men and women of God.)

He imagined that the angels formed the Cloud as they flew up away from him. That was his big mistake.

He had no proof of this but built up this doctrine on a guess, which was very wrong. He also guessed or predicted that America would be destroyed by 1977 and that was also wrong. A prediction is not a prophecy.

Based on these seven visions, along with the rapid changes which have swept the world in the last fifty years, I PREDICT (I do not prophesy) that these visions will have all come to pass by 1977.

... The last and seventh vision was wherein I heard a most terrible explosion. As I turned to look I saw nothing but debris, craters, and smoke all over the land of America.

This just teaches us that all his quotes are not the Absolute truth.

It is essential to check the facts

Some quotes are wrong. So check the facts, and ignore the wrong quotes.

Despite these mistakes, there is no Bible teacher who comes close to his spiritual genius in unfolding the hidden mysteries of the Bible. But because some of his statements are wrong, we must learn never to replace Scripture with his quotes, nor with pastors'  interpretations of his quotes.

He was the voice of the seventh angel

who can make mistakes in places.

He was not “the Voice of God” Who is infallible.

REVELATION 10:7   But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel,

when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

The darkest continent on planet Earth is our human mind when it is made up and thus totally closed to any facts or Scriptures that disagree with our current church opinion.

You believe propaganda when you refuse to admit a mistake.

That is why Jesus stands outside all our churches.

Any belief that cannot accommodate all these facts about the Cloud, cannot be correct.

Please remember.

The human mind is like a parachute. It only works when it is open.

'The Revelation of the Seven Seals' book, in the Editor's introduction, has a wrong comment:

• “This ring-shaped cloud is referred to by Brother Branham throughout these Messages on the Seven Seals” -- 1967 Edition.    This shows the photograph of the Cloud.
• “Supernatural cloud formed by the wings of seven Angels who had ascended after speaking with William Marrion Branham” -- Reprint 1993 Edition.

Brother Branham knew nothing about the Cloud when he preached the Seven Seals. He only heard about it two or three months later. The angels left him 8 days after the Cloud was photographed.

Brother Branham met the angels near Sunset Peak which is 200 miles from where the Cloud was briefly seen. The Cloud never came near Sunset Peak. It moved from west to east,  from Flagstaff towards Winslow and New Mexico.

So wrong ideas were put into the Seven Seals book right at the beginning by the editor (not by brother Branham). This helped to develop more wrong ideas about the Cloud.

One big fault we all have as humans is that we do not check all the facts. 

We prefer to quickly make up our minds by feeling that we have to believe quotes that are wrong, and then we defend this error with great determination. We are not very bright as we easily fail to separate fact from fiction, and thus cannot discern news from false news. Yet in the media, we constantly hear of fake news.

Einstein guessed that the universe was not expanding which he said was his biggest blunder. Einstein made mistakes but what he got right classified him as a genius.

The 1963 cloud helped make wrong Message doctrines

William Branham made two bad guesses -- that his 7 visions would end by 1977, and that the Cloud was formed by the  7 angels as they left him on 8 March 1963.

He saw seven visions that ended with America being ruled by a beautiful and cruel woman and then being destroyed in multiple explosions. He guessed that would happen by 1977. The visions were fine. But he was totally wrong to fix a date. Fanaticism took over in Message circles in 1970 (because certain Message preachers found a quote that said 7 years were lost in the Dark Ages. Yes, we were dumb enough to believe our Message pastors and their interpretation of quotes).

In 1969 Pentecostals painted “Jesus is Coming” on a mine dump in Johannesburg, South Africa. Message believers changed it to “Jesus has Come”. What a public embarrassment.

Then again, Message preachers said the Lord would come in 1977 which was brother Branham’s "definite" date. Extreme doctrines were preached. The Cloud was regarded as the Coming of the Lord.

I heard Message preachers say many times that the Lord would come in 1970. Many of us were told to give up our jobs that year.

When Jesus did not come,

then they did a quick recalculation that ignored the seven years “lost” in the Dark Ages and shifted the date,

and 1977 became the definite prediction for the Coming of the Lord.

Brother Branham himself had predicted this date. Then in 1978, when nothing had happened in 1977, it was easy for a Message preacher to simply deny that he had ever preached the Coming in 1977. Especially when the pastors, in 1978, were kicking up a big dust storm by trying to explain what the seven Thunders were. People were easily swept up into the fanaticism of the various seven Thunders theories.

We are easily seduced by the false glamour of extremism.

Despite the fact that brother Branham never said that the seven Thunders have uttered.

Many Message followers believed that the Cloud was the Coming of the Lord in 1963,

which ended the Laodicean church age. This was in complete contradiction to what brother Branham actually said in July 1965.

So, the Lord definitely had not come by 1965.

Another claim was that the Cloud ended the Laodicean age.

But look what brother Branham said later on in 1963, long after the Cloud had appeared.

What church is He coming to?

The church that we are living in,

the Laodicea Church Age, the last church age,

1963-0623  STANDING  IN  THE  GAP 

Then I wonder, in this day, of this loose, lazy,

soft Laodicea age that we live in.

We all know, and have been through the Church Ages, that we are living in the last age, the Laodicea Church Age. And this lazy, loose, happy-go-lucky, joking, sinful age of lust that we're living in now,

So, months after the Cloud, brother Branham said that we were still in the Laodicean church age.

1965-0221E  WHO  IS  THIS  MELCHISEDEC

According to Revelations 10:1 to 7, all the mysteries that's wrote in this Book, that's been

hid down through the age of the reformers,

is supposed to be brought out into view by the angel of the last church age. How many knows that's right? That's right, supposed to be brought. All the mysteries of the mysterious Book is to

be revealed to the Laodicean messenger of that age.

Brother  Branham kept getting revelations until he died in December 1965.

1963-1229  THERE  IS  A  MAN  HERE  THAT  CAN  TURN  ON  THE  LIGHT

This is the seventh church age.

Remember, and each time that that sun begin to shine in the East, is the same sun that shines in the West. And the same Spirit that's been all down through the ages, like that, is the same Son today. Only, what is it? Just like ripening, the season. The sun that's now, will be the same sun that ripens the grain this fall, this autumn, see, but (what is it?) it's this sun plus what it will be.

And today, in this last age,

is what they were, plus This.

Ten months after the Cloud and brother Branham says we are still in the last age, the seventh church age. The same sun that shines in the east is the same sun that shines from the west. This symbolizes the Gospel of the first church age in the Middle East has to be the same Gospel that is preached at the end time in the west.

So instead of going back to what the early church believed in the first church age, Message people are indulging in speculations that future events have already happened,

and these future events are thus pulled back into the past.

If that is so, then we have no future. Because they claim the future has already happened in 1963.

The Cloud is their main focus for turning future events into the past.

A sort of “back to the future” belief.

1965-1412  THE RAPTURE

We all know we're living in the Laodicea Age.

There will never be another age to it. It can't be. So, we're living in the Laodicea Age

The Only Believe magazine published seven predictions by seven well-known Message preachers on the outcome of the first Gulf War, just before the war started in 1991. All seven were basically gloom and doom and spoke of the demise of America and its military. None said that America would destroy the Iraqi army in less than a month and a half of spectacular military skill and overwhelming firepower.

Message believers interpreted the vision of a beautiful but cruel woman ruling America to mean that Hillary Clinton (beautiful?) would win the 2016 presidential election. She lost.

The one sure result of Message preachers making dramatic predictions over the years by interpreting William Branham’s quotes is that they somehow, with great skill, always manage to get it wrong.

As such, they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Brother Branham got the 1977 date for his visions wrong.

His claim that the angels formed the Cloud when they left him at Sunset Peak was also totally wrong.

But by now, having believed wrong things about the Cloud for more than 50 years, Message believers are so hardened in their errors that it seems they cannot change their viewpoints.

Now that Kamala Harris is Vice President, it is certainly possible that America may have a woman president soon. But the cruel woman is a symbol of the Roman Catholic Church. President Biden and Nancy Pelosi are both Catholics. America seems to be opening her doors to the Catholic Church, as predicted in brother Branham's sixth vision.

Then when these women help elect the wrong person, then I seen a great woman rise up in the United States, well-dressed and beautiful, but cruel in heart. She will either guide or lead this nation to ruination. (I've got in parenthesis "perhaps Catholic church.")

A sign of the Word being revealed

What is the significance of these two clouds?

MATTHEW 24:3   And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be

the sign of thy coming,

and of the end of the world?

4:   And Jesus answered and said unto them,

Take heed that no man deceive you.

The disciples asked for a sign of His Coming.

They knew they could not ask about His actual coming.

MATTHEW 24:36   But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no,

not the angels of heaven,

but my Father only.

No man knows, and that includes William Branham, the seventh angel. The coming of Jesus Christ is top, top secret. We will only know when it happens.

We must be restored to the beliefs of the apostles. They did not want to know about His Coming as they knew that was not their business to know.  All they asked for was a sign of His coming.

Therefore that is all we are allowed to ask for. So, if something supernatural happens in our day, like the main Cloud, the most it can be is a sign of His Coming.

But Jesus immediately replied:  If you want to know about these future events - If you want to know about a future sign then beware. The most likely thing to happen is that you will be deceived.

What is the most obvious way in which we can be deceived?  

Deception. When we mistake the sign for being the actual event.

So, Rule 1. Do not ask about His Coming.  Rather look for a supernatural sign of His Coming.

God was using these two very unusual clouds to try to tell us something.

Where are we in the Big Plan of God?

The focus of the clouds was on sunset, or evening time, in the west when they became visible.

There was no focus on a man, because brother Branham was unaware of the Cloud and at least 200 miles away.

ZECHARIAH 14:7   But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD,

not day, nor night:

but it shall come to pass,

that at evening time it shall be light.

In a confused denominational time of knowing certain truths about salvation, but also being subject to wrong human opinions and church traditions, God was going to allow brother Branham to reveal the Seven Seals that bound up the mysteries of the Bible that the reformers and Pentecostals were unable to solve.

Abraham sent a servant to find a bride for his son Isaac.

GENESIS 24:11   And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the

time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

It was evening time when the trusted servant found a bride for Isaac, the promised son.

I KINGS 18:36  And it came to pass at the time of the offering of

the evening sacrifice,

that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant,

and that I have done all these things at thy word.

: 38     Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

In the evening time, Elijah pulled down God’s power from Heaven.

Evening time occurs at sunset. Sunset happens in the west. So brother Branham was sent west.

ISAIAH 43:5   Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east,

and gather thee from the west;

The seed of eternal Life was the first church that was planted. The last church, when harvested, has to be identical to the seed that was planted. The deep mysteries would be revealed.

It's so perfectly, how the first-hour messengers with the Word, with the Gospel, with the Truth, they came in at the Day of Pentecost. Then there was a dark age that blocked them out. Then at the middle of the day, Luther, and Wesley, and them, came in. And then there is to be

an evening-time Message, and to receive the same thing that they did at the beginning.

The evening-time Message is to restore back again, to bring back that same thing again.

Today, most Message believers claim that the future has already happened, The Lord has come, and the Angel has come down with the open Book.

The early church never claimed that. We have to be restored back to what the early church believed.

We must go back to the past, the first church age. We must not try to place the future in the past, that would be the serpent’s territory. Remember, Rattlesnake mesa is next to Sunset Peak. Error is always close to the truth.

ISAIAH 45:6   That they may know from the rising of the sun,

and from the west, that there is none beside me.

I am the LORD, and there is none else.

The Gospel began with the first church in the Middle East. From the West would come a restoration to the early church when the mysteries of the Bible would be revealed.

The only truth is God. He is the Absolute. No quotes can replace His Word. No prophet is equal to God.

The “Voice of God” was not promised for our day. The “voice of the seventh angel” was promised.

ISAIAH 59:19   So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west,

and his glory from the rising of the sun.

When the enemy shall come in like a flood,

the Spirit of the LORD shall

lift up a standard against him.

We must fear Jesus and His Word, the Bible. Nothing can replace the Scripture.

Brother Branham’s quotes can reveal the mysteries of Scripture, but they cannot replace Scripture.

There will be much opposition to the revelation of the written Bible, but some will indeed lift up the banner of Scriptural truth, while the majority will come in with a flood of quotes and interpretations of quotes.

A standard is a flag that is lifted up on a staff or pole.

God showed His supernatural sign above a place called Flagstaff.

A sign that God is going to lift up the revealed mysteries of Scripture.

HOSEA 11:10   They shall walk after the LORD:

he shall roar like a lion:

when he shall roar,

then the children shall tremble from the west.

The Lion of the tribe of Judah is Jesus. We must go back to the Bible truths that the early church believed in the Lion age.

Our Gentile Elijah, getting his commission in the west of America just northeast of Tucson near Sunset Peak,  should have turned the heart of the end time children back to the apostolic fathers by being able to reveal the mysteries of the Seven Seals.

This revelation of the Bible mysteries would attract a Scriptural Bride.

REVELATION 10:7   But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

But in the same area of Sunset Peak is Rattlesnake mesa. The serpent and his unscriptural speculations are also there to swallow up the unwary. Make sure your quotes are reflected in Scripture.

We should understand the Bible. But if we just interpret quotes we will not understand the Bible.

A cloud in the West brings a shower of doctrine

LUKE 12:54   And he said also to the people,

When ye see a cloud rise out of the west,

straightway ye say,

There cometh a shower;

and so it is.

This was natural in Israel. To their west was the Mediterranean Sea. Wind blowing over the sea towards Israel would pick up water vapour which became rain clouds.

Water from the sea evaporates to form a cloud.

A westerly wind blows from the West to the East. This blows the cloud over the land where rain falls.

A smoke cloud from an explosion came from the West coast of America in 1963. Then it was joined by a supernatural Cloud of angels. They were both seen in Arizona, which is part of the American far West. That was a sign in the heavens.

America is the main western nation relative to all the other countries. Thus the truth would spread out over the world from the West.

Eight days later these same angels appeared to William Branham to commission him to go back to Jeffersonville to reveal the secrets of the Seven Seals. Those revelations were such a shower of deep, new insights into the Bible that they should restore us back to the teachings of the apostles so that we could prepare for the Coming of the Lord.

Unfortunately, many Message followers used these insights to speculate that the future has already happened. Then there is nothing to prepare for.

Rain.

HOSEA 6:3   Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

In the morning, the first church age, God prepared all His Truth in the New Testament writings. He wants nothing outside of these Scriptures. But the truth was lost in the Dark Ages. Now He is coming to us in the form of two showers of rain.

The former rain (moureh) means a teaching rain. We must be taught the truth of the Bible by the seventh angel, just the way the first church believed. Then when the Angel of Revelation Chapter 10 comes down, He will raise the dead and then the seven Thunders will change the bodies of the living.

When that Angel, of Revelation the 10th chapter, puts one foot on land and one on the sea, and a rainbow over His head, He swore, "time shall be no more."

When that time comes, you'll rise up from among the dead. While the rest of them lay there, you'll go in.

62-1230   IS THIS THE SIGN OF THE END SIR

"Time shall be no more, and Seven Thunders throwed their voices out.

What if it is something to let us know how to enter into the Rapturing Faith?”

We cannot get rapturing faith in this sinful body so the 7 Thunders have to show us how to change into immortal bodies. Only then can we be raptured, so only then can we get rapturing faith.

That will be the harvest rain. Before we can become part of the latter rain, the harvest rain, we must first have a former rain that teaches us and takes us back to the former beliefs of the early church. The first church did not believe that Jesus had already come. Nor must we.

There were 40 days between the resurrection and the ascension of Jesus.

We can expect about 40 days between the resurrection of the New Testament saints and the catching up to meet the Lord in the air. That 40 days will give the 7 Thunders time to show us secretly how to change our bodies.

The harvest ends when the seed is pulled off the plant. The harvest rain ends when the entire Bride is pulled off the earth to meet the Lord in the air. The harvest rain starts when the dead saints are pulled out of their graves.

Brother Branham obviously brought us the former rain as he tried to restore us back to the first age church by his Scriptural teachings.

If the Cloud was the mighty Angel coming down in 1963, then the harvest (latter rain) happened before the former (teaching) rain. Even brother Branham was not there to meet the 7 angels on 28 February 1963. That simply means that we have all missed it. Not an encouraging thought.

The Cloud was a  sign and the later visitation of the seven angels was to commission him for a great event.

The subsequent event was the revelation of the Seven Seals in Jeffersonville.

These revelations were so spectacular that people would think that Jesus had returned.

People would also think that William Branham was Jesus.

Mysteries must first come down as the revealed Word

The point that was missed is that before Jesus returns in a Body of flesh in His Second Coming, Jesus was first going to return as the revealed Word of God that could be understood.

The mysteries would come down from God as the Word of God and reveal the entire revelation of Scripture.

The 7 angels would bring down these mysteries during that amazing week in Jeffersonville from 17 March to 24 March 1963.

63-0317  THE  BREACH  BETWEEN  THE  SEVEN  CHURCH  AGES  AND  THE  SEVEN  SEALS

... when the seventh angel begins to sound his mystery, he winds up all of the loose ends that these fellows probed at,

and the mysteries comes down from God as the Word of God

and reveals the entire revelation of God. 

It was not Jesus returning in a physical Body. It was the mysteries of Scripture coming down.

Thus, brother Branham could point out Jesus walking through the pages of the Word.

John the Baptist had pointed out Jesus as a Man walking amongst men.

2000 years ago people thought John the Baptist was Jesus.

JOHN 1:19   And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

:20     And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ

John confessed to being “Christ” which means “anointed” but immediately clarified that he was not “the Christ”.

Mistaking a great prophet for being God is easy to do.

A prophet-angel brought the great revelations to John the Revelator and twice John fell down to worship this prophet. It is easy to think that a revealer of secrets is God Himself.

REVELATION 19:10    And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God:

The apostle John, himself a prophet as well as being the most spiritual man at that time, AFTER BEING CORRECTED,

promptly made the same mistake again. So easily do we humans worship a prophet.

Beware. Post a red flag as a warning.

REVELATION 22:8   And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

:9     Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

So this same mistake must be made today. There will be those who deify William Branham. Those who refuse to study the history of the Bible and thereby learn from this history will be doomed to repeat the mistakes.

First, let us establish that the Cloud of 1963 was a sign in the heavens of the future coming down of the deep mysteries to teach us (the former rain).

Then later the mighty Angel of Revelation Chapter 10 will come down for the harvest, the resurrection of the dead, and the changing of the bodies of the living.

Only then will the Lord Himself come to meet us in the air.

So, was the Cloud a sign?  Was the smoke cloud a sign?

If so,

then the Cloud in itself was not so much an event as the sign of an impending event.

We need to track down in Scripture how God was intending to reveal the deep mysteries of Scripture that would restore us back to the first church.

But first, we are warned about mistaking a great sign in the heavens (a supernatural Cloud) and then a mysterious hidden experience with seven angels who lifted brother Branham into a secret, higher dimension, for being the Second Coming of the Lord.

The Second Coming of Jesus has nothing to do with any event that happens in a desert, nor in some secret dimension.

MATTHEW 24:25   Behold, I have told you before.

: 26     Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Northern Arizona, including Flagstaff where the Cloud flew over, and never came down, is semi-desert.

But Sunset Peak where the seven angels came down to brother Branham is a proper desert, part of the great Mexican Sonoran desert. One of the hottest places in America. It bakes like an oven, says one internet blog.

Jesus does not come in a desert.

If you think the Cloud was the Angel coming down, you have no proof that the Cloud was ever below the 43-kilometer height. Also, there was no prophet there at Flagstaff to come down to. The prophet was about 200 miles away in Tucson.

If you believe that the seven angels coming down to brother Branham eight days later near Sunset Peak was the one Angel coming down, then remember that no one else saw them, so it was a secret meeting where he was swept up into a higher dimension. Any secret chamber or dimension, especially if it is in a desert area, is not the coming of the mighty Angel, Who is Christ in an angelic Body.

MATTHEW 24: 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

: 28     For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Lightning is moving light.

The apostles started the Gospel light in the Middle East. The truth was lost in the Dark Ages. Luther started again in Germany by preaching salvation in the 5th church age. In this age, the King James Version of the Bible was translated which is our Absolute truth. It has no mistakes.

Then the Gospel light moved westward to England with John Wesley’s holiness and outreach movement that led to the great missionary age in church age 6, that was based on the King James Bible.

Then the Gospel light moved further west to America with the Pentecostal revival in Azusa Street, Los Angeles in 1906. Then brother Branham had to be far west in America, in Arizona, to get the final revelation of the first age mysteries that had been lost, which the reformers were unable to understand.

The corn seed that is harvested at the end is identical to the corn seed that was planted at the beginning.

Now, the seventh angel's Message is to open the mystery of the Seals,

calling the eleventh-hour Gentile workers to receive the same pay that the first hour workers got. 

A carcase is freshly-slain Scriptural meat or doctrine for the eagles who want to have a deeper insight into the revealed Word of God. Freshly revealed Scriptural truths. They want neither human opinions, nor wrong facts.

Parrots may be happy with that diet of church traditions, because they just repeat what they hear without understanding it.

Or perhaps birds like swallows. They just swallow whatever the pastor or priest says.

The Gospel that began in the Middle East will be the same Gospel that is restored in the west. America is as far west as we can go.

John the Baptist revealed Jesus as a Man amongst men. William Branham had to reveal and explain the Bible so that we can recognize Jesus as He walks through the pages, patterns, and symbols of the Bible.

2 Cloud Signs warn that the 7 Seals will be revealed

64-0315  INFLUENCE

Signs of the Coming is at hand.

Jesus said, "As it was at Sodom, just before the world was burnt, the Gentile world," this would return. It should influence us and put us in action, too. When we see the Word fulfilled, that He promised, it should put us in action.

In 1964, a year after the Cloud he is talking about signs of His Coming. So obviously the Cloud was not His Coming.

He has told us the

signs that would be in the skies,

the things that would be happening

just before the coming of Christ. We see that now. It's only a pointing post.

Signs of His Coming

should throw every member of Christ into desperation now,

Six months after the Cloud appeared and he is still talking of signs of His Coming. So the Cloud was not His coming.

Then the photograph of the Cloud on the Life magazine back cover is called a sign in the heavens.

That day they took pictures all across southern United States and Mexico. There it hangs now in the Life Magazine, still a mystery to them. But He declares it in the heavens before He does it on earth. He always does that.

He shows His signs in the heavens first.

His signs always foreruns His events,

Most important.

A sign is sent before the event happens.

The big mistake that people then make is to think that the sign is the event.

AMOS 3:7  Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

God will not do anything before brother Branham can reveal it.

But the revelation only describes the event, it is not the event.

The sign of an impending event is not the actual event.

Great signs in the heaven above, Angels coming in constellation!

And scientists looking off at it, predicted months before it happened. There it was. There it's in the magazine. Told months before it happened! Seven Angels come down, and said, "The complete revelation of the

six-seal mystery

of God would be unfolded." And there it was just exactly like He said, predicted before it happened.

"Six-Seal mystery".

The Seventh Seal was never revealed. That is the Coming of the Lord, a total mystery.

And they look around, they find all kind of mystic sights, and call them supernatural beings of some kind. They call it flying saucers, fearful signs in the skies, on earth.

Signs, the signs pointing to us that the Coming of the Lord Jesus is at hand.

Thus the Cloud, which was 6 months earlier, could not have been the actual Coming of Jesus. It is a sign pointing to the future Coming of Jesus.

PHILIPPIANS 2:12   ... work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 

The mystery truths that brother Branham would reveal will be the only escape avenue from the Tribulation that is available to the individuals of Christ's Bride.

"Your own salvation". No church can save you. No pastor can save you.

Then Peter does a subtle change to the prophecy.

ACTS 2:19   And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

"Heaven". Singular. One place for a brief time. The sky over the region of Flagstaff for 28 minutes.

"Vapour of smoke". A smoke cloud.

Here we read of smoke linked to wonders in heaven.

Smoke does not speak of a natural rain cloud, but of a man-made smoke cloud.

But when the last picture, when It formed Itself into the skies and so forth, this is it as Look here packed it. You see how it rose up just as they begin to see it, you see. And there comes the real main and last picture, when it formed.

They don't know where it come from or where it went, they don't know yet. Science is completely stumped about it, don't know what happened. But we know;

"there shall be signs in the heaven above."

Both the vapour of smoke from the colossal rocket explosion that formed a smoke cloud as well as the seven angels that formed the supernatural Cloud are spoken of in the Bible. This makes it a significant event. God was drawing attention to this place.

 … "And it shall come, as spoken by the prophet Joel, Joel 2:38. 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I'll pour out My Spirit upon all flesh.'"

Listen at that prophet standing there. Look at him, fearless, standing there upon that bunch, and condemning them, indicting them. Said, "This is the Scripture! This is that that was spoke of by the prophet! 'I'll pour out My Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy. On My handmaids and maidservant I'll pour out of My Spirit; 

and I'll show signs in the heavens above,

and on earth; fire, and

pillars of smoke, and vapor.'"

Proving it by the Word, that it was the Word.

"Pillars of smoke" refer to the two atomic bomb mushroom clouds from 1945 over two Japanese cities.

This fulfilled the prophecy of Joel 2:30.

This was just before brother Branham began his preaching ministry in 1947.

"And vapour" refers to "vapour of smoke", the smoke cloud created by the exploding rocket on 28 February 1963.

This was just before the revelation of the Seven Seals which opened up the deep mysteries of Scripture.

And then in that great observatory, so that the world will be without, they're still wondering what happened. In Tucson, them big observatories took the picture of it up there; still wondering what happened. What is it? They still put in the paper, "Does anybody know anything about what, how it could have happen?" There is no fog up there, there's no air, there's no moisture; thirty miles high in the air. Oh, my!

"There shall be signs in the heaven above. 

And when these things take place, earthquakes in divers places,

then shall appear the sign in the heaven, of the Son of man."

MATTHEW 24:30   And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:

The great Cloud was not the Angel of Revelation 10 descending, it was the sign of the Son of Man in heaven.

It flew over Arizona near Flagstaff at a great height of about 43 kilometers for less than half an hour. It never descended. There was no prophet below the Cloud on 28 February 1963. The hunting season had not yet opened. Brother Branham was in Tucson, 200 miles away from Flagstaff.

But before He broke forth on those Seven Seals to reveal them, that He showed miraculous, He showed it first in the heavens.

65-0801  EVENTS MADE CLEAR BY PROPHECY

 Friends, this is the fulfillment of Malachi 4, Saint Luke 17, Saint John 15, oh, so many, Revelations 10, so many prophecies that can be pinned exactly to this day. And also in the Book of Mark and in Matthew, where He said 

these great signs and wonders would appear in the sky,

and people call them saucers, flying saucers, can vanish with the power and quickness of a thought, intelligence that can move in. He can write, He can speak, He can do whatever He wants to. The great Pillar of Fire, "the same yesterday, today, and forever." And sights coming upon the earth,

pyramids of smoke rising into the air, way above where there cannot be no humidity nor nothing, thirty miles high.

Predicted a year and a half before it happened, that it would be that way. Then turn the picture and see Who it is looking down

The smaller cloud was a man-made wonder made from smoke due to the explosion at that great height.

Peter prophesied of smoke in the heaven. How was that fulfilled?  By the massive explosion of a souped-up Thor rocket.

What did it signify?

It was launched from the secret Point Mugu pad at Vandenberg Airbase in order to place a spy satellite in orbit which, from above, could reveal hidden secrets to the American military. Flying high to reveal natural mysteries.

This exactly symbolized in the natural what the angels in the main Cloud were going to do supernaturally.

Eighteen days after they formed the Cloud they were also going to bring down the mysteries from Heaven as the Word of God and start revealing the great secrets from above,

from Heaven, which were locked up behind the Seven Seals in Revelation Chapter 6.

The heavens are the place where an eagle flies. An eagle with its amazing eyesight symbolizes a prophet with his amazing insight into the mysteries of the Bible. Flying high in the Spirit to reveal Bible mysteries.

We are in a third exodus

The individuals who make up God’s Bride coming out of the church.

REVELATION 18:4   And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,

Come out of her,

my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

"Another voice".  The inner conviction of the Holy Spirit in a person's heart.

Moses led the first exodus of the Jews out of Egypt.

The first exodus started with a sign

that was a mixture of the natural and the supernatural. He saw a natural bush that burned with a supernatural fire that never burned up the bush.

God met the prophet Moses in a desert to commission him to lead the first exodus.

EXODUS 3:1   Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

: 2     And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

This mixture of a natural and supernatural sign was just a way of God drawing attention to this place.

God uses signs to attract our attention.

Elijah, when he fled from Jezebel, went to mount Horeb where Moses began his ministry, also in the desert.

I KINGS 19:8  And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

Elijah was the only Jewish prophet that went back to mount Horeb where the Jewish exodus began under Moses. Elijah was not attracted by big things like wind, earthquake, and fire. What called him was a still, small voice.

I KINGS 19:11   And he said, Go forth, and

stand upon the mount before the LORD.

And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

:12     And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire:

and after the fire a still small voice.

:13      And it was so,

when Elijah heard it,

that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave.

The Bride will only be attracted to the voice of Scripture being revealed, however small and quiet the number of people involved. The big supernatural events in brother Branham’s ministry are impressive but of secondary importance. Understanding the Bible is the main attraction.

The voice spoke last. It was the last thing.

59-04 12   WHAT HEAREST THOU ELIJAH  

We've had rushing winds, and thunder, and everything else. But the hour is coming now that the voice of God speaks. And He proves that's Him. It was Him that sent the thunder.

And they went after the thunder instead of listening for the voice.

He sent the wind, but they went after the wind instead of the voice.

Over the last more than 50 years, various Message believers ran after a variety of more than 20 different Thunder doctrines that were supposed to give them rapturing faith. They never raptured upwards but, sadly, some have died and were buried downwards.

We have to be patient and wait for God's time. Trying to manufacture one thunder, or trying to puzzle out seven thunders in advance, will not help God's plan. Then you are just trying to make a name for yourself as being clever and bind people into your own fuzzy opinions. (Rattlesnake mesa was close to Sunset Peak. Satan, in Judas, was close to Jesus. Beware of the serpent who has poison in his mouth).  Rather take brother Branham’s quotes back to Scripture if you want to be useful to help anyone return back to the Light of the first church age teachings of the New Testament.

Moses was vindicated by a supernatural pillar of cloud, and a supernatural pillar of fire.

In 1950 in Houston a photograph was taken of the pillar of fire above brother Branham’s head by a man called Kipperman.

Just before going to Sunset Peak to hunt, brother Branham was called back to Houston to successfully plead with the Governor not to execute the stepson of Kipperman, who subsequently got a life sentence instead.

Brother Branham then preached a sermon called “A Absolute” on 4 March in Houston and then drove the 1000 miles back to Tucson and then went to Sunset Peak area where he pitched his tent on 6 March to start hunting.

So, just before meeting the seven angels, brother Branham reminded us from Houston that the Bible is the Absolute.

He, like John the Baptist, can make mistakes, but the Bible cannot make a mistake.

Houston was a reminder of the supernatural Pillar of Fire.

Then at Sunset Peak the angels, who had formed the supernatural Cloud

eight days earlier above Flagstaff, were going to meet him.

The Pillar of Fire and a supernatural Cloud. These were a reminder of Moses’s ministry. Why?

The Bible mentions Moses just before telling us of brother Branham’s ministry.

MALACHI 4: 4   Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

: 5        Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet

before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

: 6   And he shall turn

the heart of the fathers to the children, and

the heart of the children to their fathers,

lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Takes the Book of Seals and breaks them and shows the seventh angel,

for this alone, the mysteries of God, is the ministry of the seventh angel.

The main purpose of his ministry was to reveal the Seven Seals that would unfold the mysteries of God.

So the third exodus actually started with a smoke cloud and a supernatural Cloud as a sign at sunset above Flagstaff.

Then near Sunset Peak, the seven angels commissioned him to go back to Jeffersonville where they would reveal the Seven Seals to him.

The Pillar of Fire and Pillar of Cloud was the same vindication that Moses had.

Moses had a sign of a natural bush with a supernatural fire to start the first exodus.

The eagle prophet had a physical smoke cloud linked to a supernatural Cloud of angels.

Then those angels would reveal to him the secrets of the Seven Seals so that the individuals in the Bride could understand the Bible which would cause the third exodus from the church. In the end time, children would turn back to the teachings of the apostles who were the fathers of the early church.

“lest I come and smite the earth with a curse”.

A curse is something that lingers. This is the radioactivity from atomic and hydrogen bombs. The total explosive power of the far more powerful bombs of today is equal to 700000 times the power of the bomb that fell on Hiroshima.

Russia has exploded the most massive hydrogen bomb. It had ten times more explosive power than all the bombs of World War 2, including the two atomic bombs that were dropped.

So don’t wait for the 3.5 years of great Tribulation when atomic fire falls from the heavens.

To maximize the destruction of their firestorms, modern nuclear bombs explode several hundred metres up in the air and an inferno of fire rains down.
II PETER 3:12   Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein

the heavens being on fire

shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

The main Cloud was not made from water vapour, nor smoke, nor sprayed chemicals, so it had to be supernatural. It appeared at a height where natural clouds cannot form. Thus it was a sign from God.

A son of man ministry indicates a prophetic ministry as we can see from the prophet Ezekiel.

EZEKIEL 3:4   And he said unto me, Son of man,

go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

The Son of man emphasizes Jesus when He acts as a Man rather than acting as God.

JOHN 5:22   For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Jesus, as a fellow Man, judges us. He will not judge us as God.

JOHN 12:48

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him:

the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Our responsibility is to know the Bible. We will only be judged by what is written in the Bible. That is why William Branham had to reveal the Bible to us.

Those who base their beliefs on quotes are in for a big surprise and a big disappointment. America being destroyed by 1977 was the wrong date.

He had the wrong date of his hunting trip which started 6 days after the Cloud when he arrived at Sunset Peak after leaving Houston. These mistakes should warn you against just repeating a quote like a parrot. God wants you to think. Even good teachers make mistakes. But if their students do not spot the mistakes, then the teacher realizes that the students do not understand.

Quoting brother Branham is not enough proof. You also have to line up his quotes with Scripture.

MATTHEW 18:16   But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

The quotes are only one witness. The Bible is needed as a second separate witness.

God wants to burn all the unbelief and error out of us.

II TIMOTHY 4:1

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, 

who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing 

and his kingdom;

:2     Preach the word;

be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Jesus wanted to reveal the mysteries of the Bible through William Branham so that He could finally judge our age in the full light of Scripture.

The Cloud was the sign of the Son of Man Who will judge us when He appears by what is written in the Bible.

Warning us to be strictly Scriptural in our beliefs

because we are to be strictly judged by the Word.

The Cloud fulfilled the first meaning of the word “appear”

because it was the appearing of the sign of the Son of man in the heaven.

We meet Jesus today as the revealed Word of God.
