Only Jesus can be our High Priest and King
We update studies as the Lord Jesus leads us. You can find the latest update of this study at ChurchAges.net
No man should have too much power over other men. The only Person who can handle real power is Jesus.
- The Temple priests were corrupted by money and power
- The real Sabbath is the rest from sin
- Melchizedek was Jesus in a body created from the dust
- Melchizedek brought forth bread and wine
- No priest is above another priest
- The Kingly line of David was cut off
- There are deeper patterns that must be fulfilled
The Temple priests were corrupted by money and power
A king tells us what we can do. A High Priest tells us what we must believe.
In the Old Testament, nobody could be High Priest and King.
For humans, power corrupts.
The Temple priests wanted power and money. That is the weakness of human leaders. They want the power to take your money.
No human today must have power over our faith. Faith is between you and God alone.
So, no human today must have power over another human in terms of what they believe.
The Old Testament is the Shadow or Outline that the New Testament has to fulfill. Truth has to combine the Old and the New Testaments together.
But what stops a High Priest or king of the Old Testament from challenging Jesus for those positions?
The Aaronic Priesthood controlled the animal sacrifices for sin in the Temple in Jerusalem.
But, being human, they turned it into a money-making racket and then broke the very Law that gave them their authority.
Caiaphas, the High Priest, tore his clothes when he condemned Jesus.
MATTHEW 26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
This broke the Law of Moses.
When Moses ordained Aaron as the High Priest and his two sons who would follow him in turn, he warned them not to tear their robes.
LEVITICUS 10:6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes;
Moses specifically referred to the blue outer robe that had a reinforced neckline to stop it from being torn. Rather like a thick army jacket or habergeon.
EXODUS 28:31 And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
:32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.
The torn robe ended the Aaronic Priesthood.
From then on, they had no further relevance.
To tear that reinforced garment, Caiaphas must have had demonic strength.
The death of Jesus ended the animal sacrifices
The death of Jesus did away with all the Old Testament animal sacrifices. Thus the priests who were in charge of the Temple lost their relevance. They were basically out of a job. But they carried on with a pretended religion until the Temple was destroyed.
The irrelevance of the Aaronic Priesthood was indicated by the Temple veil being torn up.
The veil hid their view of God in the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies.
With the torn veil they could see God. He was Jesus Christ hanging on the cross which was the new Mercy Seat.
MATTHEW 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
Then in AD 70, the pagan Romans destroyed the Temple as it was also irrelevant.
At Calvary, the Jews were cut off from God and God stopped using Hebrew as a language.
In the Old Testament, God as the Father was above the Jews and He took on various names like Jehovah, Elohim, El, Elah, etc. None of these Hebrew names appear in the New Testament.
God was using a new language, Greek.
God was using a new name, Jesus.
In the New Testament, the Law now took on a deeper fulfillment.
The sacrifice for sin was the blood-stained, beaten-up body of Jesus.
The real Sabbath is the rest from sin
In the Old Testament, there was a cross-over effect. The sin of the Jew crossed over to the dying animal which was his sacrifice. The innocence of the animal crossed over to the Jew. But the life of the animal could not enter the Jew, and thus the Jew could not lose his desire to sin. Then the blood of the animal dried up and the Jew needed a new sacrifice for his further sins. So, the Jew rested on Saturday from his physical work but he had no rest from sin. The Jewish Sabbath (or rest) was just a rest from work, one day a week. This rest day had to be repeated every week. But something is wrong. In Genesis Chapter 1, God worked for 6 days and when He rested on the seventh day, God never went back to His creative works again.
However, when Jesus died there is also a cross-over effect that still works to this day. When we repent, our sin crosses over to Him and His innocence crosses over to us. But now comes the deeper fulfillment. Because Jesus died as a Man, a portion of the Life that was in His Blood, which is the great Holy Spirit, can enter our hearts and this takes away our desire to sin.
This is the real Sabbath, the rest from sin.
We did all sorts of sins in our lives but when we repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, we can then receive the Holy Ghost that puts us at rest from our sins. Because, by God’s grace, we never go back to that sinful life again. The Holy Ghost baptism is our true Sabbath, our rest from sin.
Those who wish to be a part of God's Bride will study His Word to prepare us for God's original seventh day or sabbath day, which is the 1000-year Kingdom of Peace that we call the Millennium.
Remember, a day with God is as one thousand years.
II PETER 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
ISAIAH 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
This happened on the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost came down.
ISAIAH 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest;
So, the Holy Ghost is the true rest or Sabbath.
But the Holy Ghost lives in the Man Jesus. The Holy Ghost is the supernatural Spirit of Christ.
COLOSSIANS 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Jesus is both human and supernatural. When the Holy Ghost comes into us it brings a portion of the humanity of Christ into us which makes us into the new person that God wants us to be. It also brings in a portion of the supernatural Spirit that guides us into all truth.
JOHN 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:
Jesus is a Man. Yet in that Man, the fullness of the Supernatural God dwells.
MATTHEW 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Only the Spirit of Christ can give us rest.
HEBREWS 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
The Jews rested from work on Saturday but never found the true rest as they had to go back to their work when Saturday was over. God never went back to His creative works after He rested.
HEBREWS 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Once Jesus Christ, as the Holy Spirit, lives within our hearts then we rest from sin or cease sinning like we used to do and never go back to our vile sinful works again. Why? Because the Spirit of Christ brings in our new humanity, a portion of the human nature of Jesus. We do not have to try to patch up our old man. We just have to hand it over to our new man.
But this New Testament dispensation needs a High Priest to replace the Aaronic Priesthood that ended.
HEBREWS 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Our High Priest is Jesus Christ.
How does He qualify?
His robes were given to the enemy Roman soldiers who wanted to tear them up so that each of the four Roman soldiers could have a piece. But they refused to tear up His outer robe.
JOHN 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
:24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
Caiaphas with his torn robe would be compared to Jesus with His untorn robe.
Caiaphas tore his own robe. The enemies of Jesus refused to tear His robe.
That makes Jesus the true High Priest as He lined up with the Old Testament Law.
So, there had to be a better Priesthood. The Priesthood of Melchizedek.
Melchizedek was Jesus in a body created from the dust
GENESIS 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
Melchizedek was the King of Salem. The future city of Jerusalem.
But Jesus rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday as the King of Jerusalem.
ZECHARIAH 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
So, Melchizedek was Jesus because Jesus is the King of the Jews.
GENESIS 14:19 And he [Melchizedek] blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God,
possessor of heaven and earth:
God’s blessings apply to the present earth and to the future Heaven.
GENESIS 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Abram gave Melchizedek tithes of all, without even being asked to do so.
But we only give tithes to God. So, Melchizedek was God in a body of a Man.
GENESIS 14:24 Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.
Abram paid tithes and asked for Eshcol to get his portion.
Abram’s great-grandson Levi became the tithes collector.
In Genesis, God made a covenant with Abram and his seed whereby they were given the Promised Land of Israel.
GENESIS 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
Joseph as the firstborn of Rachel got a double portion that was given to his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh.
The Israelites will finally have all this territory in the Millennium, the 1000 years of peace that follows on after the battle of Armageddon.
We must have patience and allow the Plan of God to unfold in His good time.
In AD 70 the pagan Romans conquered and exiled the Jews from Israel. In 1948 the Jews won a small portion of Israel back in their war of independence. Their flag was the Star of David. A man who had lived three thousand years ago. No other nation has such a bond with their ancient history. The President who raised the new flag was David Ben Gurion. Name accuracy over 3000 years.
In 1967 they won a big portion back after the amazing Six-Day War. The President of Israel who received back that big extra portion was Levi Eshcol. Name accuracy over 4000 years.
Levi collected tithes. Eshcol wanted his portion.
Russia could not beat Ukraine in a year in 2022. Israel beat three nations in six days. God must be turning back to the Jews.
A big reward for Abram’s tithes. It obviously pays in the long run to pay tithes.
Moses said that they must work six days and rest the seventh. The Six-Day War saw them fight for six days to beat three nations and then rest on the seventh day. Absolutely incredible. Their military leader was General Moshe (Moses) Dayan.
Melchizedek was Jesus in a body of flesh that He had just created from the dust for a short while. This did not make Him a Kinsman Redeemer as He was not yet born as a Baby and had thus not fully shared our life experiences.
Then God dissolved that physical body of Melchizadek and returned to Heaven.
Melchizedek was:
HEBREWS 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Melchizedek brought forth bread and wine
GENESIS 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
This was the first Communion or Last Supper, 2000 years before the New Testament.
But Melchizedek gave a preview of the future Last Supper by bringing forth bread and wine. These are the two symbols that Jesus used at the Communion with His disciples.
The Melchizedek Priesthood would take over from the discredited Aaronic Priesthood that night.
The Last Supper is when Jesus began His Melchizedek High Priesthood which was outside the Jewish Temple.
Then Jesus as the High Priest Melchizedek, with His untorn robe, became the sacrifice for sin by sacrificing Himself.
Nobody could pay a higher price than that. The sinless One for the sinful ones.
That makes Jesus Unique as the High Priest.
His sacrifice on the cross simply invalidated all the Temple sacrifices and any previous High Priest.
DANIEL 9:27 … and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,
Like Jonah, Jesus had to spend three nights in the tomb. Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday night. Then He rose on Sunday morning.
MATTHEW 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
The churches get Jesus dying on Good Friday which is wrong. Not surprisingly, as no Scripture says “Good Friday”.
But the Jewish Thursday begins on our Wednesday night.
Wednesday night is the midst of our Gentile week. That is when Jesus was arrested and cut off from His followers and Caiaphas tore his robe to end the Aaronic priesthood.
DANIEL 9:27 ...: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,
And then the death of Jesus on Thursday ended all animal sacrifices. The veil of the Temple was torn up to end all the oblations and ceremonies that were done in the Temple.
A new Temple started, which is the true church. Each genuine Christian would be a living building block and priest in that Temple which would take 2000 years to build.
I CORINTHIANS 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
When Jesus was resurrected in a bloodless eternal body, then the Melchizedek Priesthood had a High Priest Who could be touched with the feeling of our infirmities and problems, as He had suffered as a Kinsman. A fellow Man.
Thus, He knows what each one of us is going through at all times.
HEBREWS 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
No priest is above another priest
I PETER 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
The church is a priesthood. Each genuine Christian is a priest.
With the Aaronic Priesthood ended, there is no competition from anybody else to be the High Priest of the Melchizedek Priesthood that was introduced in the Old Testament. Only Jesus can hold that position.
No priest had authority over another priest.
Thus, no Christian has authority over another Christian.
Only the High Priest is above us. He is Jesus Christ and He is the Word of God.
Only the Bible, not man, can tell us what to believe. We have to be Scriptural.
We can only correct or persuade a person by quoting Scripture. Then Scripture is the Boss. Not the person who is quoting the Scripture. He is just the messenger.
Suddenly, “Christmas” and “25 December” have no place.
We were never asked in the Bible to celebrate the birth of the Lord.
So why do all the churches go for Christmas? Whose idea is it? Actually Pope Julius I around the year AD 350.
It is always painful to discover error. People would rather live in denial.
With Jesus secure as the only High Priest, we now have to see if He is secure as the only King.
The Kingly line of David was cut off
I PETER 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
If all genuine Christians are royal, then we are all princes. No prince is above another prince. Only the King is above the princes.
Why is no descendant of king David able to challenge Jesus by claiming to be king?
The kingly line of David ran through Solomon and his descendants.
This line of descendants is listed in Matthew Chapter 1.
One of these men was Coniah or Jeconiah and he was exceptionally evil. Jeconiah in Hebrew is spelled Jechonias in the New Testament Greek.
God not only cut him off and refused to recognize him as a king, but God even disqualified all of his descendants from ever being kings.
JEREMIAH 22:24 As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;
Coniah was the son of Jehoiakim but he is also called Jeconiah.
I CHRONICLES 3:16 And the sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.
The Jews liked to add “Je-” onto their name as that made them sound religious, as if they belonged to Je-hovah.
JEREMIAH 22:28 Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?
:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
A threefold repetition means that God is very serious about this issue of cutting off Coniah and his descendants.
“Earth, earth, earth”. God deals with the Jews in three dispensations. Coniah’s descendants are cut off from being king in all three of these dispensations.
The first dispensation is the Old Testament.
The second dispensation is under the Fifth Seal in the New Testament where the Jews who are killed get martyrs’ robes in Heaven.
The third and final dispensation in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation when Moses and Elijah pull out the 144000 Jews.
That is when God stops dealing with the earth because He wipes out all opposition at the battle of Armageddon at the end of the 3.5 years of great Tribulation.
Only when the Bride, the true believers from 2000 years of church history, is caught up to Heaven at the end of the seventh church age does Jesus get crowned as King. Until then, Coniah’s curse stops anyone from the royal line claiming to be king.
When Jesus is crowned in Heaven by His Bride, that is when He plans to take over His Kingdom. Down on earth will be the man of sin, the final Pope, who conquers all human opposition until he rules the world as a self-proclaimed God, king, and dictator. Then Jesus smashes him at Armageddon. Nobody, after that, can deny that Jesus is the true King
The Millennium of 1000 years of peace has Jesus as King and it is the first taste of Heaven on earth. Thus, the Millennium is the First Heaven. Satan is bound by a chain of circumstances in the bottomless pit and nobody can challenge Jesus for the Kingship. He reigns supreme.
REVELATION 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:
JEREMIAH 22:30 Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
As a result, Joseph who was the husband of Mary, could not be king because he was descended from Coniah. Nor could his natural firstborn son be king. They were all cut off.
But, God had a way around this cutting off of all possible rivals who were in David’s kingly line.
The Gospel of Luke mentions the descendants of David through his son Nathan.
All these people are free from the curse of Coniah, but none of them are in the kingly line and thus none of them can claim to be king. This is the line of Mary. Thus, her Son is free from Coniah’s curse.
Mary was to marry Joseph. Once she was married, everyone would be convinced that Jesus was the son of Joseph. Thus, at the wedding, Mary had to be three months pregnant. That was an immense scandal but it was then clear that she was not carrying Joseph’s child. So when Mary had conceived from the Holy Ghost (Who thus is the Father of the Child and is actually God the Father) she went away for three months to visit Elizabeth. But the scandal made it clear that Jesus was not the natural-born Son of Joseph. This was necessary to free Him from the curse of Coniah, in people’s minds.
The line of Judah was almost wiped out when Judah did not marry his surviving son to the widow Tamar of his first son. She had to act as a prostitute (a big scandal) to seduce Judah. At three months (the same time as Mary) she was also noticeably pregnant.
But she had saved the line of Messiah. So God honoured her.
The Gentile Rahab was a harlot until she met the Jews and saved their two spies with a scarlet cord and then left her paganism to serve the Jewish God. We Gentiles easily believe unscriptural beliefs (Trinity, 25 December, Christmas, Lent, Sunday Sabbath, etc) which make us spiritual harlots. We too must follow the Blood-stained scarlet cord of Scriptural patterns that link up many Bible verses on a topic. We must base our beliefs purely on the Bible.
Mary conceived from God the Father. Tamar conceived from her father, as she was married to Judah’s son.
But Tamar went through all that scandal in order to protect the royal line of Judah that was about to die out. That is why Judah complimented her.
Mary had to endure the scandal of having an “illegitimate” Child to ensure that nobody thought that the Child was the son of Joseph. This was essential as it protected Jesus from anyone else trying to claim that they are King. When Joseph adopted Jesus, then Jesus gained all the rights of a natural-born son. Thus, Jesus was adopted into the royal line of Jewish kings but was free from Coniah’s curse. That protected the royal line of Judah that would otherwise die out.
Thereby, Jesus became the only Man Who could be King.
Jesus has to be the Son of David in order to be King in the Millennium or 1000-year Kingdom of peace.
Two bloodlines from Solomon and Nathan were needed to cut off anybody else from being able to claim that they are king.
David’s son Nathan produced a humble ancestry as both Mary and her bloodline were without fame. But that helped to fool the Devil as he did not pay much attention to all those nobodies. Being unimportant has its advantages. Having cut off the kingly line at Coniah, Satan also did not pay much attention to the descendants of Coniah as they ceased to be a threat to him. They could no longer be kings, so Satan thought that he had destroyed anyone from being King of the Jews. Consequently, Satan paid little attention to an unknown carpenter called Joseph. Satan also did not notice Joseph’s unknown future bride Mary. After all, she was just an unknown woman.
But these unimportant nobodies, that no one noticed, would be used by God to out-maneuver Satan.
Modern jet fighters are more effective if they are designed to be stealthy and can thereby fly unnoticed to their targets. Low visibility is a great asset in warfare.
The less a person is known, the less Satan tends to oppose them, and thus, the more God can use them.
Jesus stressed the humility of His bloodline by riding on an ass (what we call a donkey) on Palm Sunday when He was hailed as the King of the Jews. This humility endlessly kept Satan on the back foot because human pride makes people endlessly proclaim their self-importance.
People seek to be noticed but visibility does not mean progress as there are dark depths beneath the bright colours that we paint superficially on the surface.
Like makeup. People make up their own self-importance in our modern age of selfies and self-promotion that is inspired by competitive Christianity.
Those who manage to elevate themselves above other Christians are merely Nicolaitans.
REVELATION 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
There are deeper patterns that must be fulfilled
Before Messiah appeared on the scene for His First Coming, there had to be a prophet to reveal Him to the Jews as a Man walking amongst men.
Then, before the Second Coming of Jesus, there must be a prophet to reveal Jesus, as the Word of God, walking through the pages of the Bible as he makes us understand the mysteries of Scripture.
This prophet to the Jews was John the Baptist, son of an unknown Priest, Zacharias, and his equally unknown wife Elizabeth. John was conceived six months before Jesus.
The two important Jewish lines were those of the kings and those of the priests.
These two lines had to overlap in the water of God’s Word. Messiah was King and High Priest.
When Mary got to Elizabeth, John, who was the son of a priest, was already six months in the womb and surrounded by the water of the womb.
Water is symbolic of the Word of God.
EPHESIANS 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Thus Jesus, Who was adopted into the kingly line, came to John who was the son of a priest.
In addition, Jesus, as the Word of God, came to the prophet of God while he was in the water of the womb. Three months later Elizabeth’s water would break when John was born.
That is why Mary left just before John was born,
because the Word had to come to the prophet while he was in the water.
It seemed very strange to the natural eye that Mary left Elizabeth just before her baby was born, as that is when a mother would most need help. God's Will always seems strange to us humans.
But thirty years later, Jesus as the Word of God, came to the prophet John as he was in the water of the River Jordan.
Their future roles had to be acted out while they were each still in the womb.
This level of complexity made it impossible for anyone else to try to imitate the ministry of Messiah.
John’s ministry was based on the important role of water baptism that he had to introduce to the Jews.
Then John had to introduce Jesus to the Jews with His water baptism in the River Jordan whereby Jesus was washed as the burnt offering.
After that, He could accept our sins on the cross when He was offered up as our Sacrifice if we repent. Then Jesus would die in order for His Holy Ghost (a ghost is the spirit of a dead person) to take our sins down to the fires of hell and dump them on the Devil.
II CHRONICLES 4:6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them:
such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them;
Then water baptism would take on a huge significance to the early church.
Peter had the keys to Heaven and he unlocked the door to Heaven by saying:
"Repent (both wise and foolish virgins are thereby saved from hell) and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (only the Bride will thus start on the difficult path which is needed in order to be saved from the 3.5 years of great Tribulation).
ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Repentance gets us into Heaven as part of the Bride or the foolish virgins. That is an easy and straightforward process.
But it is difficult to become part of the Bride, the wise virgins. Then we have to understand Who God is and what His name is.
Only if we can recognize that Jesus Christ is Almighty God, will we know what the name of God is.
God’s name is Jesus.
The Bride must take on the name of her Husband.
The only way that we can take on the name of Jesus Christ is through water baptism.
Everyone, both wise and foolish virgins, get saved by repentance.
But water baptism begins to separate the Bride from the foolish virgins.
MATTHEW 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
“Teach” is mentioned twice. There is a stress on teaching. Something needs to be understood.
The name of God.
The Trinity God has no name as you cannot find a name for three People.
AMOS 6:10 … Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.
Trinitarians thus serve a nameless God.
The foolish virgins repeat the saying, “Baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” but they have no clue what that name is. Thus, they never obey Acts 2:38.
As a result, they never take on the name of their Husband, Jesus Christ.
“God the Son” and “God the Holy Ghost” are never mentioned in the Bible.
Nor is “Trinity”, nor is “One God in three Persons”.
“God the Father” is never mentioned in the Old Testament.
God, as a Spirit, was above the Jews as the Father.
He was called Lord.
Then the fulness of the Godhead came down to dwell in one Man, Jesus.
COLOSSIANS 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Jesus, as the Son, was Emmanuel. God with us.
His name is Jesus.
As the Holy Ghost, God now dwells in many people who are His true church. God’s Spirit divides up like on the Day of Pentecost.
These people are anointed. “Christ” means anointed one.
JOHN 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
“Father. Son. Holy Ghost.” Means “God above us, with us, and in us.”
Father is Lord. Son is Jesus. Holy Ghost is Christ.
The name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost is Lord Jesus Christ.
Lord is a title. Christ is a title. The name is Jesus.
Lord and Christ are just telling us which Jesus we are referring to because many people like the Mexicans have the name of Jesus.
Aaron, the High Priest, and his sons who would follow him in turn as High Priest, had to be washed and then anointed with oil by the prophet Moses.
EXODUS 40:12 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
:13 And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
Oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus, as the High Priest had to be washed by the prophet John in the river Jordan.
Then John saw the Holy Spirit come down as an anointing to rest upon Him. This was an outward anointing. The Spirit did not go into Jesus.
JOHN 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
In the same way, as Elijah went up to Heaven in a chariot, his spirit also came down to rest as an anointing on Elisha.
II KINGS 2:15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said,
The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha.
Solomon, the son of David or seed of David was anointed king next to the pool of Gihon.
I KINGS 1:38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.
Solomon, the son of David, came to the well of Gihon and was anointed king.
I KINGS 1:39 And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.
Jesus, as the Son of David or Seed of David was anointed King as the Holy Spirit rested on Him in an anointing, on the banks of the River Jordan.
David, as king, fought many battles in Israel.
Then Solomon, as the son of David, had a peaceful reign and brought Israel to the peak of their fame.
Jesus, as the Son of David, will rule in the Millennium or thousand years of Peace. It will be a peaceful time where the Jews will be the most famous nation on earth as Jesus will rule from Jerusalem.
After the battle of Armageddon, nobody will dare to attack Jesus. The nations that survive Armageddon will have the sense to live in peace.
