Mark 14 Part2 Only Christ can pay the price

Peter represents a leader of a foolish virgin church. Follows Jesus, the Word, from a distance but also denies the Word

Garden of Gethsemane starts to atone for Garden of Eden

MARK 14:32   And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

"Sit".  Now that the real issues were to be faced, there was nothing that the disciples could do.

They were out of their depth.

In the struggle between Life and Death, only Jesus is able to win the battle.

Gethsemane means the “oil press”.

Gethsemane was where the process of salvation started. Jesus had to take on the burden of our filthy sins.

The grinding pressures on Him left Him with no refuge but prayer.

It was as if the Holy Spirit was being squeezed out of the Man Jesus as He paid for our sins. Then, after His resurrection, that Holy Spirit could return and dwell in the hearts of His believers who formed the early church.

When green olives get ripe they turn purple then black. They are then ground and squeezed to get out the oil.

JOHN 19:1   Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

:2     And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,

Jesus was covered in a purple robe for a while and then punished for our sins on the cross when the day went black for three hours. This was not an eclipse of the sun because an eclipse cannot last for more than 7 minutes at any one place.

MARK 15:33   And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

In Gethsemane, Jesus was preparing for the Agony and Fear that lay ahead.

The disciples were brave men. There had to be a very strong spirit of Fear to make them run away.

MARK 14:33   And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

Peter, James, and John can be associated with Faith, Hope, and Charity or Love.

Our faith in Jesus gives us hope for a better relationship with God Who dwelled in Him bodily, because Jesus loved us enough to think that we were worth dying for.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

In the Garden of Eden, God Himself came down to sort out how to save Adam and Eve from their sin. He could not trust anyone else to do everything perfectly.

So, in the Garden of Gethsemane, it was once again God in the Man Jesus Who alone could sort out our salvation from sin.

The filth of our sins made Jesus recoil in horror

But the price that Jesus would pay in order to save us was more than severe.

The indwelling Spirit of God would "hide His face" from Jesus when He took on our sins and refuse to communicate with Him. Jesus would thus feel like an abandoned sinner. Jesus would have to pay the price purely in His human strength. He would receive no supernatural help.

ISAIAH 59:2   But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

MARK 14:34   And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

The indwelling Spirit of God was hiding His face from the Man Jesus.

We experience torment in the mind that is our human spirit or our life.

When we die the spirit separates from the body.

But wrapped up in the spirit is the soul.

I SAMUEL 25:29   Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life

ROMANS 8:10   … but the Spirit is life

Then in hell, which will be cast into the Lake of Fire, there is a deeper torment where the soul is separated from the spirit. That is the second death.

REVELATION 20:14   And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Jesus was starting to suffer in His soul.

That means that in His flesh He was already suffering the torments of hell that would intensify as He hung on the cross. Satan was unleashing all his furies from the pit of hell onto this defenseless Man as the Devil strove mightily to destroy Him.

Life and Death were starting to engage in a titanic spiritual struggle, unseen by the world.

MARK 14:35   And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

Here in Gethsemane Jesus agreed to take on our sins in all their filth and hideousness. His innocent Life was not spared from any of our disgusting thoughts or despicable behaviour. The full horror of our sinful lives was dumped upon Him.

Jesus could not help but recoil in total disgust.

This would be an impossible burden for anybody to carry.

MARK 14:36   And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

But Mark shows Jesus as the Calf that grew into a strong Ox.

This was His great service. Carrying the burden of our sins to Calvary to pay the price for them.

He had to battle against the temptation to avoid the suffering that lay ahead, but the battle was one He had to fight and win alone.

A cross-over effect had to happen.

Our sin would flow onto Him and then His innocence would flow onto us, by faith.

MARK 14:37   And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

The failure at the end of His First Coming was the disciples inability to keep watch.

The failure of the churches, in the end, is our failure to keep watch for all the unscriptural ideas and traditions that are creeping into and taking over the churches.

Hell was being stirred up. Satan realized that an important time had arrived and the demons attacked the disciples in a very clever manner. Putting them to sleep.

Towards the end of the seven church ages, ten virgins who are clean women, represent the saved Christians in the churches.

As they await the Coming of the Lord they all fall asleep. A very effective tactic of the Devil.

MATTHEW 25:5   While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Consider looking at the restoration of truth after the Dark Ages.

Martin Luther woke up the church with his fifth church age Reformation that the just shall live by faith alone. Then after his death, the Lutherans fell asleep and refused to move on.

A second wake-up call was issued by John Wesley preaching holiness. After his death, the Methodists fell asleep and refused to move on.

Then the Pentecostal revival and brother Branham’s revelation of the revealed Bible mysteries was a third wake-up call for the church.

MARK 14:38   Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

There was much church error that the Lutherans brought out of the Catholic church with them. We need to pray and also watch to see what is Scriptural. Unscriptural beliefs become accepted as church traditions.

Because of the weakness of our human flesh, we rapidly and unknowingly fall into error.

Jesus gave the disciples a warning as He saw that they were just like all the Christians down through the ages. Jesus saw their weakness and urged them to be alert and pray for strength because they too were going to be put to the test. They would face the temptation to deny Jesus in order to save themselves.

MARK 14:39   And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

The same effects happened with the Methodist holiness revival in the sixth church age. After Wesley’s death, the Methodists fell asleep and refused to move on.

MARK 14:40   And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

Towards the end of the last or seventh church age the church fell asleep again.

REVELATION 3:14   And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;

:17   … and knowest not …

The last church is fast asleep and thus "knowest not" or does not know what is happening as the church splits up into 45000 different kinds of churches and denominations. All are different yet each one thinks that they are right.

Satanic forces had been unleashed that the disciples were unable to withstand. They slept on, completely unaware of what was actually happening.

Much the same is happening today in the end time. Christians sleep complacently as each one believes their church has the truth despite every church being different to the others.

MARK 14:41   And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

While the disciples had slept, Jesus had won His victory over the temptation to avoid carrying our load of despicable sins.

Sin had begun in the Garden of Eden. Now, in the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus was beginning to destroy the power of sin.

The next step in the issue of sin was betrayal.

At His First Coming Jesus was betrayed as a Man by Judas who was a church leader.

At His Second Coming Jesus is betrayed as the revealed Word of God. False doctrines will be invented to sabotage the revelation of the truth of the King James Bible. Over 100 different English editions of the Bible have been produced. Each church now has a man as its head with his opinions being regarded as the truth. It is a complete spiritual swamp. The interpretation or changing of Scripture is now in the hands of men. That is a betrayal of truth as Bible truth is replaced by human opinions.

The kingly tribe was Judah in Hebrew but Judas in Greek

MARK 14:42   Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

The time for the betrayal had arrived.

In today’s church, we are in much the same position. Bible truth is betrayed as people prefer their church traditions and opinions.

MARK 14:43   And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.

Sadly, the betrayal came from a church leader. An apostle. A man who had performed miracles.

A great multitude with their own swords to arrest one Man.

Today there is a great multitude of preachers with their own versions of Scripture. Their own opinions. Their own speculations as they all agree to condemn the King James Bible as a flawed translation.

MARK 14:44   And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.

The treachery of betrayal. A kiss was a token of love but thanks to Judas, a church leader, it became a symbol of betrayal.

MARK 14:45   And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.

Those who desire to contradict, change, or criticize the King James Bible as flawed are always very quick to do so.

Those who wish to condemn the revealed truth at the end time are also very quick to do so.

MARK 14:46   And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

They arrested Jesus as a crowd. Today, religious leaders get together to oppose the revelation of the truth. Church traditions like Trinity and Christmas and a seven-year Tribulation are accepted but woe betides anyone who opposes these traditions.

MARK 14:47   And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Mark does not mention Peter by name when he made a mistake. Thus Mark encourages us not to try to serve God in order to make a name for ourselves. We must keep our names and our egos out of the picture.

Although Mark does not mention Peter by name, he does mention Peter's failure.

Servants must not be afraid to expose their mistakes to analysis so that we can all learn.

The symbol here is the sword of the Word striking the ear of those who seek to bind the Word. This damages the spiritual ear of the unbeliever because he cannot grasp the revealed truth.

MARK 14:48   And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

Their secretive arrest in the dark. They knew they were wrong but they relied on their numbers.

Satan relies on being in the majority.

MARK 14:49   I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

Jesus taught daily in the Temple and the common people knew He was different from the church leaders.  Yet the common people were keen to hear what he said. So, the Jewish leaders were scared to arrest Him in the Temple in case the people protected Jesus. Thus, they came secretly after dark because when people sin, they like to hide their actions in the dark of night where nobody sees them.

“The Scriptures must be fulfilled”.

The betrayal of Judas.

PSALM 41:9   Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Arresting Jesus in a secret yet insidious and violent manner.

LAMENTATIONS 4:20   The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

Christ, the Anointed One, is the very breath of our spiritual Life. The Jews dug pits for Him in order to set snares and traps. They arrested and took Him away from the disciples who had learned to depend on Him.

"Shadow" is a symbol of protection from the heat of persecution and opposition.

Yet He was always meek, calm, and submissive even when He was wrongly treated and accused.

ISAIAH 53:7   He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Wrongly arrested by the high priest who found no grounds for killing Him under Roman law. Sent to Herod who found nothing wrong with Him. Returned to Pilate who found Him innocent but gave Him a death sentence because the Jewish mob demanded that he do so.

But His death was actually so that He could pay for our sins.

ISAIAH 53:8   He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

All the disciples would flee in fear when the Shepherd is violently arrested.

ZECHARIAH 13:7  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

MARK 14:50   And they all forsook him, and fled.

There was a terrible spirit of fear as they arrested Jesus. The disciples scattered to avoid arrest.

When the chips are down, we humans focus on self-survival.

Mark, who deals with Christ as the great Servant, shows how poorly we humans serve God. All the disciples fled from the Word (Jesus) in order to save their own lives.

We do the same today. We are swayed by the majority church's opinion instead of standing up for Scripture.

We do not dare to ask why the Bible never asked us to celebrate the birth of the Lord.

We do not dare mention that Christmas is an unscriptural word and that "Merry Christmas" is an unscriptural statement.

We stay silent on the fact that 25 December was declared to be the birthday of the pagan Roman sun god by the pagan Roman Emperor Aurelian in AD 274, after he beheaded the bishop of Rome on 22 December.

Then, about AD 350, the date 25 December was copied by Pope Julius I as the birthday of the Son of God. Catholic ceremonies are called a Mass. So it was called Christ's Mass which became Christmas.

This pagan festival then entered the Protestant churches.

Pagans knew it had nothing to do with Christ so they crossed out the name of Christ and called it Xmas.

Step by step the churches moved further from the Scriptures.

Mark had to fail before he learned to serve God

MARK 14:51   And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:

Mark describes his own failure and fear as he talks about this unnamed man.

MARK 14:52   And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Ripping his own body away from those who had caught him, Mark leaves the linen cloth that was his garment in their hands. He runs away naked rather than standing with the Word, Jesus.

Service to God begins with failure.

The last church of the Laodiceans is also described as "naked" as our churches are stripped of Bible truth.

REVELATION 3:14   And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;

REVELATION 3:17   Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Then Mark began to serve with Saul and Barnabas.

ACTS 12:25   And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

Mark then joined in with Saul, who was just starting his ministry, and did not yet have his name changed to Paul. But Mark left them in the city of Pamphylia when the going got tough.

Serving God in the presence of Saul, who became Paul, must have required a very dedicated effort. Paul was endlessly persecuted.

Sometime later Barnabas decided to travel with Mark again, but Paul objected.

ACTS 15:37   And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

On the next journey Barnabus wanted Mark but Paul did not trust Mark.

ACTS 15:38   But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

There was a strong argument. Barnabus and Mark left Paul.

Mark was still trying to serve God but he was not up to Paul’s standards.

ACTS 15:39   And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;

Eventually Mark improved his service to God and Paul finally had confidence in him.

II TIMOTHY 4:11   Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

Then God was able to use Mark to write the second Gospel that deals with the calf growing up to become a burden-bearing ox. This teaches us that it takes time to learn how to be of useful service to God. A person has to grow up in their ministry and experience failure before God can really use them.

MARK 14:53   And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

The religious leaders were out to condemn Jesus Who is the Word.

The same happens today where the church leaders are out to condemn the revealed Word that was restored to us by William Branham.

Churches are stuck in their church traditions which usually come from the Catholic church which originally got them from the pagans. The Roman Catholics made the mistake of dressing up pagan beliefs with Christian words. That way they knew the pagans did not have to change in order to become "Christians". Thus the number of Roman Catholic converts grew.

Peter symbolizes a leader of a foolish virgin church

MARK 14:54   And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

They have good truth concerning salvation and holiness and supernatural power. But when it comes to the deeper issues of the Bible they cannot answer. They claim the Bible contradicts itself or has myths or mistakes. Thus they justify their own ignorance on many topics and are happy to change the written Word in places to suit their theories.

Notice that Peter distanced himself from the Word.

Church leaders do not prove their beliefs just from Scripture which is the Word of God.

MARK 14:55   And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

Today we have Jesus with us as the Word of God, the King James Bible. The churches are desperate to find evidence that the King James Bible is flawed and false in many places.

So they have sought to translate their own versions of the English Bible.

MARK 14:56   For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

But they have over 100 different versions of the English Bible that are all different.

The different versions obviously disagree with each other.

Thus, the churches are forced to conclude that it is impossible to find a perfect Bible.

As a result, they have no infallible foundation for their faith because faith is built on the written Word.

ROMANS 10:17   So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

MARK 14:57   And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,

:58   We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

But this was a false statement.

When church leaders accuse a critic they have to twist up what he said in some way to make their accusation sound better. False witnesses will never say exactly what the critic said.

Jesus had said that if they destroyed Him He would recover in three days.

JOHN 2:19   Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Jesus was referring to the Temple of His Body.

MARK 14:59   But neither so did their witness agree together.

Being liars, their accusations did not agree with each other.

Modern English Bible translations have the same problem. They keep changing the King James Version in different places and thus the modern Bibles disagree with each other in different places.

Churches cannot agree with each other over modern events.

Some want abortions and some do not.

Some want woman preachers and some do not.

Some want gay marriages and some do not.

Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church blessed President Putin's vicious and destructive invasion of  Ukraine in 2022. The Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury condemned the invasion.

MARK 14:60   And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

Jesus just kept silent. He ignored the false accusations.

MARK 14:61   But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

Jesus then confirmed that he was the Son of man.

MARK 14:62   And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

The high priest now had to make an instant decision. Accept Jesus as the Messiah and the perfect Word of God or destroy Jesus as a threat to his Temple power and money.

The high priest, typical of religious leaders, was more concerned with his elevated position and lucrative source of Temple income.

Unfortunately for him, about 37 years later the pagan Romans destroyed the Temple in AD 70. They took the vast Temple fortune back to Rome and used it to build the Colosseum arena where Christians were later fed to the lions. The Old Testament Aaronic priesthood was destroyed in the massacre when 1,100,000 Jews were killed by the Roman general Titius. The high priesthood and the Temple wealth were no more.

That is the final fate of everything that opposes Jesus Christ.

MARK 14:63   Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

Demons oppose the Word of God. The high priest now did something demonic. He tore his clothes. This was a complete contradiction of the Law of Moses.

Thus, as the high priest, Caiaphas effectively ended the Law.

LEVITICUS 10:6   And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Aaron was the first high priest. This position would pass on to his sons in their turn.

The high priest was expressly forbidden to tear or rend his clothes.

MARK 14:64   Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

Caiaphas blasphemed the Law by tearing his robe.

He covered his sin by accusing Jesus of blasphemy. All of his yes-men who depended on him for their Temple salaries and positions instantly agreed with him.

They lost their place in heaven because they preferred their religious leader to Jesus Who is the Word of God.

Condemning Christ was the theme at that time of His First Coming.

Condemning and criticizing the King James Bible is the theme at this time just before the Second Coming. Many Christians have their names blotted out of the Book of Life today because they believe their church leaders who contradict the King James Bible. Christ is in our midst as the Bible.

DEUTERONOMY 12:32  What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

In other words, keep the Bible just the way that it is written. No changes allowed.

Not only had Caiaphas ended the Law but the people who formed this illegal nighttime trial after their unlawful nighttime arrest now behaved in a totally unlawful manner.

MARK 14:65   And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

To show their contempt for Jesus they spat on Him and then hit Him.

Jesus is the Bread of Life.

Bread has to be covered in saliva before it can be swallowed and digested.

As the Word is spat upon by unbelievers, so believers are able to swallow and digest or understand its mysteries.

Mocking Him, they hit Him when His eyes were closed and told Him to prophesy who had hit Him. They carried on slapping Him in the face

Peter the foolish virgin leader denies the Word 3 times

Jesus is the Word.

By denying Jesus, Peter was denying the Word.

Today, church leaders deny the Word of God is infallible and unchangeable. Thus they deny that Jesus is infallible. We only see Jesus as the King James Bible today. When we criticize the King James Bible, we criticize Jesus. That makes us part of the foolish virgins.

MARK 14:66   And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:

Virgins are clean women representing saved Christians in the church who are fooled by being unable to understand the deeper meanings of Scripture.

They obey many Scriptures but also deny or oppose many Scriptures.

He had contradicted Jesus. This is the same as contradicting the Bible. Jesus had said that Peter would betray Him and Peter had objected and disagreed with Jesus. The foolish virgins also object to certain Bible verses and disagree with them.

Jesus spoke against Peter and Peter rejected this criticism. Peter bragged that he would always be beside Jesus. The saved foolish virgins today claim to stand for Jesus but they deny many Scriptures and condemn those who want to be Scriptural.

The foolish virgins cannot criticize their churches or their church leaders. But they are happy to criticize certain Bible verses that do not suit them or which criticize them. The foolish virgins focus on their church and church leader rather than on the Bible.

A woman, the maid, symbolizes a church. People today are so scared to disagree with their church.

So, Peter was scared to be associated with Jesus, the Word of God. Today, we see Jesus as the King James Bible which tells us His thoughts.

Yet Revelation Chapter 3 says that the last church age of the Laodiceans is lukewarm and thus not worth much.

The foolish virgins oppose three stages of restoration.

MARK 14:67   And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

Sitting by the fire meant that Peter was hot in front where the heat reached his body but his back would be cold due to the cold nighttime air. This mixture of hot and cold represents a lukewarm believer. Lukewarm means believing some parts of the Bible but not believing other parts of the Bible.

The maid accused him of being with Jesus, in other words standing by the Bible. But Peter denied it. The leaders of the foolish virgins only believe some of the revealed Word for their day and then they stop as the Word moves on into the next age.

Jesus of Nazareth refers to the origin of Jesus where He grew up. The origins of the church were in the first church age of Ephesus where the apostles established the New Testament faith. This first candlestick was going to branch out into the seven church ages.

Netzer means Branch in Hebrew.

Netzeret means the Place of the Branching forth.

Nazara means the Truth.

Netzeret and Nazara combine to form "The Place of the Branching forth of the Truth".

The combined words are never mentioned in the Hebrew of the Old Testament.

The word Nazareth is the Greek translation of Netzeret and Nazara when combined.

Then, in the end, the last church age must return to the beliefs of the first church age. Only the first church age is guaranteed because that is where John the Revelator saw Jesus standing.

Only the first church age of the apostles had the truth. So, if we want truth, that is where we must return to.

The end-time eagle insight has to agree with the original lion beliefs of the apostles.

MARK 14:68   But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.

Peter claimed that he did not understand her.

Lack of understanding of the Bible mysteries is a major problem for church leaders today.

They just claim that difficult verses are simply a trivial detail that are not worth worrying about.

However,  they cannot explain why there are so many trivial details in the Bible.

Thus, they simply lie to cover up their ignorance of many Bible topics.

Peter went out of the building. Church leaders build up doctrines that are outside of Scripture as they cannot be proven just by using Bible verses.

Thus, modern-day church leaders have moved away from the original New Testament beliefs of the apostles who never used the word Trinity and who baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).

They understood that Jesus Christ was the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

This basic truth was still forgotten and denied during the Reformation of the fifth church age that established that we are saved by grace through faith.

Servetus was a strong anti-Trinitarian and John Calvin the great Protestant reformer had him burned at the stake. Zwingli, the famous reformer from Zurich, had the Anabaptist leader Felix Manz drowned because he believed in baptism by immersion. Zwingli believed in infant sprinkling. Shockingly cruel ways of disagreeing with a person.

MARK 14:69   And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.

Then Peter had a second denial.

During the missionary age the missionaries taught that salvation was only possible in the name of Jesus Christ. They put all their focus on Jesus but yet denied that Jesus was Lord God Almighty. Although they believed in the Trinity, the missionaries were more gentle towards non-Trinitarians.

The “revelation of Jesus Christ” reveals Jesus to be the Almighty.

REVELATION 1:8   I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Peter’s second denial was brief. The missionary churches of the sixth church age were not that cruel towards non-Trinitarians.

MARK 14:70   And he denied it again.

Thanks to John Wesley's influence of brotherly love, Christians tended to disagree with dissenters in a more peaceful manner.

Then we come to the last or seventh church age.

MARK 14:70   And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

Peter’s third denial represents the last church age of Laodicea (people’s rights) and was based on his language and how he spoke. Today the Bride or wise virgins speak in the language of the revealed mysteries of the infallible King James Bible. They prove their beliefs by linking up the relevant verses in the Bible.

Once you mention the name William Branham then the hackles begin to rise and modern-day Christians are far more extreme in their denunciation of those non-Trinitarians who baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.

MARK 14:71   But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

Today, if you oppose the Trinity in the churches, the foolish virgins really get cross and want you out of their church.

Do not say that a priest, or a minister, or a reverend, or a pastor is not the head of the church. The first church age never had one of these titles as the head of the church. The churches of today cannot accept that kind of speech.

Establishing doctrine is the ministry of a teacher

63-0724  GOD  DOESN'T  CALL  MAN  TO  JUDGMENT  WITHOUT  FIRST  WARNING  HIM

A teacher is a special man. He sits back under the anointing of the Spirit and is able to take the Words and put them together by the Holy Spirit, that, the pastor or evangelist either one could not compare with him.

The foolish virgins cannot accept this kind of talk.

I CORINTHIANS 12:28   And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers,

In setting up the church God uses apostles (who wrote the New Testament) and prophets who wrote the Old Testament as well as the end-time prophet to the Gentile church who restores us to the first church age of the apostles.

MATTHEW 17:11   And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

Then thirdly, God uses teachers to take brother Branham’s quotes back to the Scripture and prove what he said from the New and the Old Testaments. The split hoof of an animal that is clean meat (doctrine) if you are able to chew the cud for yourself and see the doctrinal ideas reflect in the whole Scripture.

A Bible teacher can only prove his beliefs from the Bible.

But those who can accept the Word in Its fullness,

But, you see, in the church there is the pastor, and that pastor is a special person. He's built to where he can put up with the fusses of the people. He's a burden-bearer, he's the ox of the team. He's a man that can sit down when the... somebody's got something against somebody else, and sit down with them two families (and take neither side) and reason it out and bring it right back into sweetness. See? He's a pastor, he knows how to take care of things.

Resolving personal issues is called pastoral care.

MARK 14:72   And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

The second time the cock crew symbolizes the second time that the Bible truths are revealed by taking the seventh church back to the original apostolic teachings of the first church age.

The foolish virgins have always denied the developing truth.

They stay with what they were first taught and cannot move on. Each one believes that his or her church is the only church that has the truth.

They no longer believe that they must only prove their faith from the King James Bible.

Then they will be swept into great Tribulation where there will be much weeping.

MATTHEW 8:12   But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The sad fate of putting church and church leader ahead of the Word of God.
