Great Tribulation is 3½ years not 7 years

The Bible year is 360 days

Speaking about Rachel, Laban said to Jacob.

GENESIS 29:27   Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

Thus, a day can represent a year in prophecy.

Great Tribulation lasts for 42 months = 1260 days

REVELATION 11:2   … and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

:3   ...  and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

A score is 20.

Therefore,  1 Bible-month =  1260/42 = 30 days

1 Bible-year  =  12 months  =  12 x 30  =  360 days

But our Gentile year =  365.24 days which is 5,24 days longer.

So, 69  of our longer Gentile years  =  70  of the shorter Bible-years.

For every 70 Bible-years we lose 1 year as we have 69 Gentile years.

Daniel’s prophecy is for 70 weeks.

70 weeks = 70 x 7 =  490 days which can be 490 Bible-years in prophecy.

On our Gentile calendar we lose  490 / 70 =  7 years

Then 490 Bible-years =  490 – 7  =  483 Gentile-years, as we measure history dates.

Great Tribulation is 42 months or 3½ years

REVELATION 11:2   But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

:3    And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Great Tribulation is 1260 days long. This is also described as 42 months.

Using Bible-months of 30 days, that will be 3½ years long.

Church-goers have made up a story that there will be 3½ years of “mild” Tribulation then 3½ years of "bad" Tribulation. There is no Scripture that says this. Just like there is no Scripture that says "Christmas" or "25 December".  No Scripture ever asks us to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus. Church-goers have got used to building up their doctrines on man-made statements. This makes them complacent.

DANIEL 9:24    Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

The Jews and Jerusalem have 490 Bible years or 483 Gentile years left to them from when Nehemiah rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem.

That sounds strange as that event happened almost 2500 years ago.

What happened to the missing 2000 years?

The prophecy applied to the Jews when they had free access to worship God in Jerusalem. But God did not count the last 2000 years when, with the Temple destroyed and the Jews were exiled from their Promised Land and scattered amongst the Gentiles.

But God only counted the years up to Calvary which happened in AD 33. When the Jews killed their Messiah, then God cut off the Jews and stopped dealing with them. The Jews became the branches that were broken off the natural olive tree.

ROMANS 11:17   And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

God even stopped using Hebrew as a language and began to use Greek so that the Gospel would leave the Jews and go out to the Gentiles. The Greek king, Alexander the Great, had conquered the world and spread the Greek language around the world. The Gentiles are the wild olive branches that were grafted in contrary to nature.

In the end, God will break off the Gentile church branches and graft the 144000 Jews back into the olive tree.

ROMANS 11:23   And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

:24    For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

This is God's Plan. He cut off the Jews in AD 33 to turn to the Gentile church.

Some day God will cut the church off and turn back to the Jews.

So we need to be careful with what we believe. Otherwise we will wake up to find that we are the foolish virgins who find the Door to the Second Coming is closed.

Six things must happen to the Jews in great Tribulation

DANIEL 9:24   ... To finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

“To finish the transgression”.

The Jewish transgression is when they rejected God’s Plan and God broke them off from His olive tree 2000 years ago. This verse is God’s promise to the Jews that He will graft them back into the olive tree someday. That will happen during the 3½ years of great Tribulation.

“And to make an end of sins,”

The Jews said that they and their children would be responsible for shedding the blood of Jesus.

MATTHEW 27:25   Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

When the 144000 finally meet Messiah in great Tribulation they will repent of that statement.

“And to make reconciliation for iniquity,”

Iniquity is knowing that you are doing wrong but doing it anyway. That refers to the crucifixion which was so unjust and broke so many of the Jewish and Roman laws.

When they see the nail marks in His hands, the 144000 will bitterly repent of that action.

“And to bring in everlasting righteousness,”

That happens when Satan is chained in the pit for the 1000 years when Christ’s Kingdom of Peace rules on earth. This is often called the Millennium.

REVELATION 20:2   And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

:3   And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

With Satan chained up by circumstances, righteousness will flourish for 1000 years.

“And to seal up the vision and prophecy”.

By the end of the 3½ years of great Tribulation all the Scriptural visions and prophecies concerning the church and the 144000 Jews will have been completed and come to pass.

“And to anoint the most Holy.”

This is the new Temple that Jesus will build for the Millennium. The Temple that Ezekiel saw that will be built north of Jerusalem.

The 70 Weeks prophecy of Daniel starts in 446 BC

DANIEL 9:25    Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

A city only became a city when it had a wall around it.

To build Jerusalem as a city required a wall. Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, had broken down Jerusalem’s wall when he took the Jews captive.

Nehemiah had to rebuild this wall in 52 days after the Persian king Artaxerxes gave him the commandment.

NEHEMIAH 2:1   And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king,

From Wikipedia we learn :

Artaxerxes I was the fifth King of Kings of the Achaemenid Empire, from 465 to December 424 BC. He was the third son of Xerxes I.

If the first year of Artaxerxes was 465 BC then his twentieth year was 446 BC.

The wall was built in “troublous times”.

NEHEMIAH 4:16   And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

[A habergeon is a sleeveless coat of armour]

:17   They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

“The street shall be built again, and the wall”

The wall and the street meet at a gate. The Book of Nehemiah describes 11 gates that were built.

The time of the prophecy takes  7 + 62 = 69 weeks

69 weeks =  69 x 7 = 483 days.

This is equal to 483 Bible-years.

Every 70 Bible-years = 69 Gentile years.

In 70 Bible-years there is one less Gentile year.

So, in 483 Bible-years there are about 7 Gentile years less.

This prophecy takes 483 – 7 = 476 Gentile years.

The first 446 years of the prophecy are BC, before Christ was born.

476 – 446 = 30 years.     So, the prophecy of Messiah says that He appears about AD 30.

His actual water baptism was about two or three months from the end of the year AD 29.

3½ years later, at the end of His ministry, was April AD 33 at His fourth Passover. (There are three years between four Passovers)

LUKE 3:23   And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age,

Thus, Luke agrees exactly with Daniel’s prophecy.

Jesus came on the scene when He was almost 30 years old.

DANIEL 9:26   And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

After Nehemiah rebuilt the wall there were 49 years or 7 weeks when prophets could still guide the Jews. The last prophet was Malachi and Doctor Scofield placed him at 397 BC.

Then came a long period of 62 weeks (434 Bible years) of no prophets. Then John the Baptist came on the scene early in the year AD 29. About six months later John baptized Jesus towards the end of the year AD 29 when Jesus was almost 30. That ended the 69 weeks. The 7 weeks plus 62 weeks.

When Jesus came on the scene and was baptized, the Jews had one week or 7 years left to them. Then Jesus would set up His seventh Day (or 1000 years) Kingdom of Peace and the Jews would rule the world from Jerusalem. That 1000 years of peace and rest is God’s real Sabbath day that was originally interrupted in Eden when sin entered.

A day with God is 1000 years.

II PETER 3:8    But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

DANIEL 9:26   And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

Some time after the 62 weeks finished, when Jesus began His ministry, then He was going to be cut off and killed. But He would not die for Himself, He would die for our sins in order to save us from our sins.

“And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;”

The final world Dictator who will be destroyed at Armageddon is the man of sin, also called the son of perdition (hell). He must come from Rome because it was the pagan Romans  who destroyed the Temple and Jerusalem in AD 70 under their General Titus.

II THESSALONIANS 2:3   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

"Man of sin" and "son of perdition" are religious terms that are not used by politicians. The real error is the Scriptural unbelief in the churches. Politics has always been about greed and corruption as it is ruled by the Devil. That is why Satan could offer the political world to Jesus when he tempted Jesus.

After the church fell away from Bible truth in the Dark Ages, Martin Luther exposed the antichrist spirit in the Pope.

II THESSALONIANS 2:4   Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Luther exposed the Pope sitting in the beautiful Vatican, as if that is the Temple of God on earth, thinking that he is God because the Pope claimed that he could forgive sins. Only God can forgive sins. The greed and corruption of the Pope made him issue indulgences. If you paid for an indulgence then the Pope claimed that your sins were forgiven. The sale of indulgences enabled the Pope to build the beautiful Saint Peters church which is the second biggest church in the world. It is the most beautifully decorated church as the world's best artists were paid from the indulgences money. Indulgences paid for the beautiful painting of the Sistine chapel. The magnificence of the Vatican made Roman Catholics think it was the Temple of God.

But the corruption of indulgences, paying for forgiveness of sins, inspired Martin Luther to begin his Reformation.

The final world Dictator will be the final Pope.

REVELATION 17:8    “When they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”

The beast is the centrally organized denominational Roman Catholic church.

The “little horn” of Daniel Chapters 7 and 8 describes the growing power of what is now Vatican City. The world’s smallest country, yet the world’s wealthiest organization. The Vatican is the nerve centre of the world’s biggest church of 1.4 billion Roman Catholics.

The beast and the little horn are just different descriptions of Roman Catholic power.

The beast that “was, is not, and yet is” simply describes the succession of Popes that is the longest line of rulers in the Western world. The Pope is the figurehead of the Roman Catholic Church in the same way that Hitler was the figurehead of the Nazi party.

This illustrates the trail of the serpent.

The Roman Catholic church (falsely) claims that Peter was the first Pope. Thus, they claim that there always “was” a Pope.

The Pope dies and “is not”.

Then a new Pope is elected, so the Pope “yet is”.

The man dies but that spirit of antichrist just jumps from the dead Pope to the next living Pope.

DANIEL 9:26  “And the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”

The end of the Temple worship and the end of the city of Jerusalem came with a flood of death when 1,100,000 Jews were killed in AD 70 by the pagan Romans. 90,000 were taken as slaves to Rome. The city of Jerusalem was razed. The Temple destroyed. No other city in the Roman Empire suffered such a huge murder rate.

The Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Temple Priesthood who had endlessly opposed Jesus were destroyed and disappeared from history. In AD 132-136 there was the Bar Kochba revolt in Israel and 580,000 Jews were killed by the pagan Romans. The surviving Jews were exiled from Israel and scattered amongst the nations for almost 1800 years.

Israel was called Palestine and became desolate.

The covenant was not made as it was confirmed

DANIEL 9:27   And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The churches make a big mistake here by saying “He shall make a covenant with many for 1 week”, which is seven years.

They claim that the “He” refers to the Antichrist, a politician in Europe or North Africa or the Middle East.

But the covenant is confirmed, not made.

That means the covenant has to have been made previously. That catches them out as they cannot pinpoint when the covenant was actually made.

The “He” cannot be “the Antichrist” as there is no Scripture that says “the Antichrist”.

By saying "the Antichrist" they make people look for a famous political leader.

I JOHN 4:3   … and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

But antichrist is a spirit, not a person.

Antichrist is a spirit that has been around in the church right from the beginning.

It has simply jumped from one person to the next as the first person died. The man dies but the spirit lives on.

I JOHN 2:18   Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

There are many antichrists as there is much error amongst today’s 45000 different kinds of denominations and churches.

Where does the Bible speak of “confirming the covenant”?

GALATIANS 3:17   And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ,

God made a sacrificial covenant with Abraham and his seed in Genesis Chapter 15.

GENESIS 15:18   In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

God confirmed this covenant in Christ, Abraham’s Seed, as the confirmed covenant granted eternal Life and a new Earth to dwell on.

“and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,”

Jesus had a seven year ministry.

But in the midst of His seven year ministry he was cut off at Calvary after 3½ years.

His great sacrifice caused the animal sacrifices in the Temple to cease. All the Temple worship and oblations ceased. Then the Temple got destroyed in AD 70.

When Jesus got cut off in AD 33, the Holy Ghost came down to guide the Gentile church through the seven church ages. The Jews as a nation were cut off from God and God stopped counting time for the Jews when they killed Jesus at Calvary.

The Jews were still owed half a week from Daniel’s prophecy. But this final 3½ years got pushed right to the end of the seven church ages.

God cut off the Jews to turn to the Gentiles.

Thus, God will cut off the Gentile church and throw the foolish or fooled virgins (saved Christians) into great Tribulation for 3½ years. During that time God will turn back to the 144000 Jews.

DANIEL 9:27   … and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Israel was called Palestine and it became desolate for about 1800 years.

Mark Twain, the famous American, who visited the land of Israel in 1867 (referred to as Palestine at the time), described Israel as a “…desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds—a silent mournful expanse… We never saw a human being on the whole route… There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere.

A sign that God is starting to turn back to the Jews is that finally the Jews are back in Palestine.

The abominations of the Jewish faith was their rejection of Messiah.

Then they allowed Rabbis to take over.

The word “Rabbi” never appears in the Old Testament. It is a man-made position.

But they had no Temple in Jerusalem and thus no place of sacrifice.

So their religion became desolate and man-made.

The Fifth Seal of Jewish martyrs has mercy  for the Jews

But the fifth Seal in Revelation Chapter 6 says that any Jew who is killed for their faith will be given a white robe. A Jew will only make heaven if they are killed.

They demanded the blood of Messiah.

Now they have to pay with their own blood.

Thus the Jews cannot be saved by the desolate religion of their Rabbis. But for those Jews that God wants to save, God has to pour out death in some form so that they can be killed.

This will continue into the final 3½ years.

REVELATION 6:9   And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Slain Jewish martyrs. That is why they have been so persecuted during the last 2000 years.

Christians hold the testimony of Jesus, what God has done for them. The Jews hold their own testimony, claiming what they have done for God.

REVELATION 6:10   And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Christians die forgiving their enemies. Jews demand an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth according to their Law. They want vengeance.

REVELATION 6:11   And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Every Jew who is killed, gets a white robe of pardon.

There is no beast in this Fifth Seal. The four beasts of the church ages are over. The Bride has been caught up to Heaven.

Because the church ages are over, the slain Jews want to go down to destroy the enemy at Armageddon.

But they are told to wait for a little season. Wait for 3½ years until great Tribulation is over. Only then will the 70 weeks, or the full 490 Bible-years, be over.

During that 3½ years their 144,000 fellow Jews will be saved, filled with the Holy Ghost and then meet Messiah. Then they too have to be killed. The Jews are the servants of God. The true church are the sons and daughters of God.

In addition, two thirds of today’s 18 million Jews must be killed in Tribulation time.

That will be 12 million Jews.

Because the Jews killed Messiah, they must now be killed in order to get into Heaven.

ZECHARIAH 13:8   And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Salvation for the Jew in Tribulation time requires them to be killed. Their own blood must be shed.

The foolish virgins (or fooled-by-their-church-leaders virgins) from the Gentile church have to be saved before great Tribulation starts, because Jesus is then off the Mercy Seat to come and fetch His true church.

No Gentile can get saved during the 3½ years of great Tribulation.

But, by refusing to accept the mark of the beast during great Tribulation time, the foolish virgins will ensure that they are also killed for their faith.

But the horror of great Tribulation will open their eyes to the errors of man-made church doctrines.
