God wants us to be able to share His thoughts

Sharing a throne symbolizes the Spirit of God dwelling on the throne of our hearts and sharing His deepest thoughts

What is meant by a throne in Heaven?

God is a Spirit so God does not have a physical heart. His heart symbolizes His love for us.

REVELATION 3:21   “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

Multi-millions of Christians have overcome during the 2000 years of church history.

One cannot imagine these multi-millions sitting on a throne for all eternity.

God’s throne on earth today is the born-again human heart where God’s Holy Spirit is always trying to teach us the deeper truths of Scripture.

JOHN 16:13   “When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth.”

Humans have 24 ribs and 24 elders sit around the throne in Revelation Chapter 4. God is trying to tell us something.

The four chambers of the heart represent the four beasts around the throne of God when Jesus sits on the throne of your heart.

The heart symbolizes your deepest thoughts and desires.

REVELATION 4:2   “And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.”

REVELATION 4:4   “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats:

and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting,

clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.”

The blue stars represent the patriarchs of the 12 tribes of Israel from the Old Testament.

The red stars represent the 12 apostles from the New Testament, with Paul taking the place of Judas.

There are four beasts around the throne in Revelation Chapter 4.

Your heart has four chambers.

REVELATION 4:6   “And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.”

Eyes speak of intelligence.

“Before”. They know the future.

“Behind”. They know the past.

These beasts or living creatures protected the church during the changing circumstances of church history as the Devil kept changing his methods of attack.

REVELATION 4:7   “And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.”

Hopefully, you can start to realize that God’s New Testament throne or dwelling place is the born-again heart of repentant sinners.

MATTHEW 6:10   “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

The human heart is the only place on earth that reflects God’s Heavenly throne.

The four Gospels tell the story of the cross. The cross represents the heart of God’s love for us.

Dividing the heart into four chambers automatically creates a picture of the cross.

Matthew shows Jesus as the Lion or King.

Blood flows into the first chamber.

Matthew Chapter 1 shows the bloodline of Jesus from the famous king David.

MATTHEW 1:1   “The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”

Then it goes back to Abraham who saw the first real King, Melchizedek. God created a temporary body for Himself out of dust, and gave Abraham bread and wine. The ingredients of the Last Supper that happened more than 2000 years later. Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek and asked for Eshcol to get his portion.

The Jews lost their Promised Land but about 1900 years later regained a big portion in the amazing Six Day War of 1967. The President of Israel who accepted all the conquered territory back was Levi Eshcol. The tribe of Levi was the tithes collector. So, paying tithes was a good idea. God remembers. Matthew the tax collector was also called Levi. Kingdoms run on taxes.

MATTHEW 2:11   “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.”

Matthew ignores His birth in a stable. Kings are not born in smelly stables. But wise men bearing gifts who came two years later to a house? That is a good introduction to the King. But we were never asked to celebrate His birth. “Christmas” and 25 December are both unscriptural. So is “Merry Christmas”.

Mark shows Jesus as the calf that grows into a strong ox. The Servant.

EZEKIEL 1:10   “As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.”

Servants are employed when they are grown up and qualified. So, Mark ignores His birth as the young calf grows up. Then John the Baptist hits the scene like a tornado. In 5 verses he has convicted and baptized all of Judea. He lives simply and asks for no money. Some servant. Jesus is baptized and “immediately driven” to the wilderness to be tempted for 40 days. Satan gives up. This Servant has no weak spots. Totally trustworthy.

Mark Chapter 1 is full of words like “immediately”, “forthwith”, and “straitway”. This Servant is a dynamo of action. Works late into the night and is up very early to pray. Incredible energy.

Luke shows Christ as the Ideal Man

Luke Chapter 3 represents the hird chamber of the heart. This bloodline goes all the way back to Adam who was the first perfect man. But Adam fell. Jesus is the last perfect Man because in the Garden of Gethsemane He began to atone for the sin Adam committed in the Garden of Eden.

Poor like most of the world where half the world today own 2% of the world’s wealth. Born in a stinking stable but that is where sweaty, smelly shepherds ran to. Thus, they felt totally at home. Jesus welcomes everyone. The Ideal Man is always on the lookout for the losers. Luke gives us the parable of the prodigal son who wasted his life and was welcomed back. The hardened criminal on the cross who made a last desperate and undeserved plea to his Saviour and was accepted in his dying moments.

John shows Jesus as God

God is a Spirit. God was never born.

“In the beginning was the Word”.  Somehow, He always was and always will be. His eternal existence is way beyond our limited minds’ ability to understand.

As God, in the Gospel of John, Jesus focuses on deep teachings and only mentions 7 miracles.

As far as God is concerned, the truth is more important than the spectacular.

The best answer that I have heard so far for a throne is that it represents the deeper and deeper layers of God’s unutterable thoughts.

God sitting with you on His throne just means that God will spend eternity dwelling in your heart and taking you deeper and deeper into the understanding of His Word and His eternal thoughts.

What a blessed hope that is.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

Jesus, the Man, sitting on the throne of the supernatural Father Who dwells inside the Man Jesus, simply means that the supernatural Spirit communicates His deepest thoughts to the mind of the Man Jesus.

Jesus, inside us, communicates these same thoughts to us. From the supernatural Father to the human nature of Jesus to you.
