Genesis 5:2 - Called their name Adam

Adam was a male spirit with female potential. A separate female body was needed to develop that feminine potential

Male and female were both called Adam

Can both male and female be called by the name Adam?

GENESIS 5:2   “Called their name Adam”

The first two Chapters of Genesis are very different.

In Chapter 1, man is CREATED from nothing as a spirit that is in the image of the Spirit of God.

In Chapter 1, both male and female were one spirit.

A masculine spirit with feminine attributes of feminine potential.

At this stage of just being a spirit-being, male and female shared the name, Adam.

In Chapter 2, the spirit of man is breathed into a body of flesh that is MADE from the dust.

In Chapter 2, the masculine spirit stayed in the male body. At the same time, the feminine attributes become a separate feminine spirit who was put into a separate female body to manifest her feminine potential fully. At this stage, they were called Adam and Woman. Woman means taken from man. Each of the two persons was a soul who had now been given a body as a vehicle in which they could contact physical reality.

Note. Only after she sinned was Eve given a human name.

Sin caused the physical realm to have a dual reality of pleasure and pain.

A woman symbolizes a church. The only name for God's people is Christian, as our born-again ingredients are taken from Jesus Christ. Blood, the water of the Word, and Spirit. Nothing else we have has lasting value.

So it is wrong for churches to make up human names like Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal, Branham group, In the Message, etc.

GENESIS 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested

from all his work which God created and made.

God created the world out of nothing "in the beginning". That time period can have any length you like. It could have been billions of years.

GENESIS 1:1   In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Then, over a time period of six of His thousand-year-Days, God made the created world into a fit or suitable place for man to dwell in.

At the start, there were no humans so there was no need for God to use 24-hour days.

II PETER 3:8   But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

GENESIS 1:26   And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

God is a Spirit. God is not a man.

So, God created a lesser spirit of man that was a miniature version of God’s Spirit.

“Let US make man”.

Does this mean a Trinity of 3 Persons in the Godhead? God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost? These three are obviously male.

This is a very unscriptural solution as “God the Son” and “God the Holy Ghost” are never mentioned in the Bible. They are man-made expressions that should never be used.

“God the Father” is never mentioned in the Old Testament and thus should never be used in discussions of the Old Testament.

The word “Trinity” is also unscriptural.

To explain the word “us” we have introduced three unscriptural expressions. Trinity, God the Son. And God the Holy Ghost.

Then we have to apply “God the Father” to the Old Testament where “God the Father” is never mentioned.

A further problem for Trinity.

GENESIS 1:27   So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

A man and a woman on earth are not the image of three Men in Heaven.

And none of the three in Heaven is female.

A further problem. The woman never had a separate name at the beginning.

The Trinity has a similar problem. If the name of the Father is Jehovah and the name of the Son is Jesus, then we have the Holy Spirit, Who is given no name in Scripture. He is nameless.

Two names for the Triune God. That is not very convincing.

But even worse is that there is no single name for the 3 Persons of the Trinity. You cannot find one name for 3 Persons.

The Trinity is a nameless God.

In other words, the Christian God has no name.

But the woman did have a name. Her name was Adam. How is that possible?

GENESIS 5:2   Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and

called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

“Created” means to be made out of nothing.  This refers to the spirit of man, not his body which would be made from the dust later.

Notice, interpreting “us” as a Trinity of 3 Persons has created more problems than it solved and introduced more unscriptural terms.

Thus, Trinity is simply a collection of ideas that conflict with Scripture. It is not an answer.

God can only have a name if He is one Person

God at times seems to be more than one Person when He says "us".

God does so many different things that He often seems to be more than one Person.

GENESIS 1:26   And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

How can we interpret “us” as one Person?

I TIMOTHY 3:16   And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,

God manifested Himself as a Spirit above the Jews in the Old Testament but also as a Human being in the flesh.

They knew Him as Lord.

Then, as the Son, God was manifest as a Man with the Jews.

Finally, as the Holy Ghost, God was manifest in His church.

Father, Son, Holy Ghost mean that God was first above, then dwelled with, and finally lived in His people.

The "Royal We" indicates the different manifestations of God.

To mention any one manifestation of God is accurate but inadequate in terms of all His awesome capabilities.

The “we” or “us” indicates the full range of God’s potential manifestations.

To call God a Healer is accurate, but He is far more than just a Healer.

The Royal We (as in Queen Victoria saying, “We are not amused”) is used by kings, queens, Popes, and Bishops.

Even Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, once said, “We have become a grandmother”.

Using the word “us” means that God has impossibly opposite functions to perform.

God is thus the impossible combination of two opposites.

He is King and Servant.

He is God and Man.

He is Lion and Lamb.

He is Judge and Advocate.

He is Creator and Redeemer.

He is infinite in Spirit and yet finite in our 3-Dimensional world.

He is outside of time when He created the universe in Genesis 1:1 and yet in time during the six Days when He prepared the earth for mankind.

He is Male, and yet as El Shaddai (the Breasted One), He is Female.

He is Supernatural Spirit and yet Human.

He is the Dove Who leads and the obedient Lamb that follows.

God somehow can do totally opposite things

So, God used the titles, Father and Son, to describe Himself fulfilling these opposite manifestations.
I JOHN 1:5   ... God is light

Scientists have found that light behaves like “bullets” or particles that move in some direction.

Yet light also behaves like dropping a stone in a pond of water and the water waves ripple out in concentric circles in all directions.

How can light move in all directions and also only in one direction? We do not know for sure.

But Light, somehow, does this opposite behaviour.

Let us call the particle-nature of light the “son” or human nature.

Let us call the wave-like nature of light the “father” or supernatural nature.

There are not two types of light.

The same light can behave both ways.

So how can the same God behave as a supernatural Spirit and as a human Being?

Let us ask the scientists how they cope with this impossible-to-understand behaviour of light?

They take one type of behaviour at a time, not both together.

If they do an experiment to test light as a particle, they forget about light behaving like a wave. When they then test light as a wave in a different experiment, they forget about it being a particle.

God wrote the Bible in the same way. Think of the name of God.

In the Old Testament, God manifested or showed Himself as the Father (but never “God the Father”. We’ll have to find out why). As the Father, God called Himself Jehovah. But the name of Jesus is never mentioned in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament, God manifested Himself as the Son and called Himself Jesus. But the name Jehovah is never mentioned in the New Testament.

Rule 1. You cannot have two names for Father and Son in the same Testament.

When man was made in the image of God, they were male and female as a single spirit being. This spirit of Adam had two opposite manifestations, masculine and feminine. As a spirit, the feminine characteristics were in the male spirit.

The feminine took the name of the masculine, Adam. (Later, the bride would take the name of her husband in marriage). There was one name, Adam, for both male and female when they were one spirit. At that stage, they were not two people.

Different manifestations of a single spirit are not different persons.

JOHN 4:24   God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

This Spirit is in a higher dimension and cannot be seen by us in our 3-Dimensional physical world of length, breadth, and height.

HEBREWS 1:2   Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

God could create a Spirit-body for Himself to dwell in during the Old Testament days. But each Spirit-body limited what God could do. He could not fully manifest Himself in any one body. As the Pillar of Fire, God could keep the Jews warm at night time in the desert cold. But by day God had to be in a Pillar of Cloud to keep the Jews cool in the scorching desert. None of these bodies was the Son of God because each body was limited.

Then in the New Testament, God manifested Himself in a human Man, Jesus.

This was the first time that God could fully manifest Himself. Consequently, only in the New Testament does the Son of God appear to describe Jesus as the Man that God fully dwelled in.

Nebuchadnezzar saw one like the Son of God in the fiery furnace.

Jesus is who God looks like when God is a Man.

HEBREWS 1:3   Who being the brightness of his glory,

and the express image of his person,

The Man Jesus was the express image of God. This is what God would look like if God was a Man.

JOHN 1:1   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

The Word was God. So, the Word can never be outside of God.

The Word is the expression of the thoughts of God

The expressed Word is the Son, the thoughts that inspire the Word are the Father.

The throne of God can be visualized as the unutterably deep thoughts of God that He has to try to express in words so that we can understand His plan.

Look what Paul said when he was caught up to a higher dimension.

II CORINTHIANS 12:2   I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

:3   And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

:4     How that he was caught up into paradise,

and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

“Unspeakable words”.

We do not even have the vocabulary to understand the depth of God’s thinking. Paul was not allowed to tell us what he heard. It would totally confuse and stagger us.

63-0318  THE  FIRST  SEAL

But think, now he wrote this, but when he started to write those other seven thunders, he said, "Don't write it." He'd been commissioned to write everything he seen. But when these seven thunders over in Revelations 10 uttered, he said, "Don't write them at all." They're mysteries. We don't know what they are yet; but my opinion they'll be revealed right away. And when it do, it'll give faith for that rapturing grace for that Church to move out. We just move through everything that we know of; through all the dispensations we've watched everything.

We've seen the mysteries of God. We've seen the appearing of the great gathering together of the Bride in the last days, but yet there's something in there that we just can't lighten ourself with.

There's something another. But I imagine when them mysteries begins to come forth... God said, "Hold it back now. Wait a minute. I'll reveal it in that day.

Don't write it at all, John, 'cause they'll stagger over it.

Just let it go. (See?) But I'll reveal it in that day when it has need to done."

The seven thunders are unwritten because they are too deep for us to understand and those thoughts would simply stagger us.

The Word, the Bible, is to teach us God’s way of thinking so that we can begin to understand more of His thoughts.

COLOSSIANS 1:13   Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

:15     Who is the image of the invisible God,

the firstborn of every creature:

The Word reveals the thoughts of God. The Man Jesus reveals Who God is.

Jesus is the express image of God's thoughts.

Human mind has both conscious and unconscious thoughts

The human mind has both conscious (son) and subconscious (father) abilities

The Supernatural and the Human combine in one Spirit in the same way that the subconscious mind and the conscious mind combine in the human spirit. Not two minds. Just two different manifestations of the human mind.

But the subconscious mind (father) which makes our hearts beat and which makes us breathe while we are asleep is more powerful than the conscious mind (son).

JOHN 14:28   … for my Father is greater than I.

This does not speak of two "co-equal" People.

"Co-qual" is not a Scriptural word.

To try and prove two co-equal People, even more unscriptural statements must be introduced.

“The Son is co-equal with the Father” is an unscriptural statement.

“Eternal Sonship” is unscriptural.

“Father and Son are of the same essence” is unscriptural. What on earth does "essence" mean? The word is not in the Bible.

JOHN 5:19   Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do:

Again, we see the pre-eminence of the Supernatural (Father) over the Human (Son).

We humans are limited by being unable to see the future. So, we need guidance from the Supernatural Who alone knows the future.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   For in him [Christ] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

All of the Godhead is in Christ.

To say that Christ is in the Godhead is a contradiction of this Scripture.

Critics say that a person cannot speak to themselves. They overlook the communication between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind.

A typical example is when my conscious mind wants to do something wrong and then has a big argument with my conscience which is unrelentingly controlled by my subconscious mind.

PSALM 77:6   … I commune with mine own heart:

David admitted that he communed with his own heart. The heart reflects our deepest desires. Communion means speaking to and being spoken back to.

NEHEMIAH 5:7   Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles,

Nehemiah could consult his subconscious mind which can remember the things that the conscious mind has forgotten. Try to remember something. Then give it a break and suddenly, unexpectedly at a later time the answer will pop into your mind. That is the deeper memory of the subconscious feeding information into the conscious mind.

People have discovered that if they explain something to themselves, they get a clearer understanding.

Many athletes have been heard screaming at themselves to try harder. It certainly seems to help them.

You are not two people, but your mind operates on two levels, the conscious and the subconscious.

In addition, the human mind of Jesus could commune with the supernatural Spirit that dwelled within Him and controlled His words and actions.

JOHN 14:10   … but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

That is why you can pray silently as you commune with the portion of the Holy Spirit that you received into yourself when you were born again.

The Father was God above the Jews. The Son was God with the Jews.  The Holy Spirit is God in us.

The difference between Genesis Chapter 1 and Chapter 2

GENESIS 1:26   And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

God is a Spirit with two main attributes, supernatural (Father) and human (Son), that are totally opposite attributes.

GENESIS 1:27   So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

So, God created a human spirit that was mainly masculine but had feminine attributes in it. These attributes are so opposite that they could only be together in the spirit of man.

The yellow represents the supernatural Spirit. The red represents the human spirit. The green represents the female attributes.

The first human spirit was mainly masculine (red) but had female attributes. They both shared the masculine name Adam because the female attributes had not yet developed the full feminine potential.

Then we get to Genesis Chapter 2.

God now took a handful of dust to make a human male body.

Then God breathed the human spirit into this masculine body which immediately began to breathe.

GENESIS 2:7   And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

All was well with the human male spirit (shown in red) in a male body that could manifest or show his male characteristics.

But the feminine characteristics (shown as a green circle) could not develop in a masculine body. So, all was not well.

When Adam was a spirit-man, everything was good.

But as soon as Adam was put into a body of flesh then potential trouble loomed as evil is mentioned.

GENESIS 2:9   And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

MATTHEW 26:41    ... the spirit indeed is willing,

but the flesh is weak.

The flesh will always be the downfall of man.

Natural fruit was not the downfall of man. Every natural tree was good. The fruit they produced was good food.

GENESIS 1:31   And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

This was at the end. Adam had just been created as a spirit-man with feminine attributes that were not yet developed. No harm could befall them until they were put into a body of flesh.

Jesus confirmed this in the New Testament.

MATTHEW 15:10   And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

:11   Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man;

but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

Nothing that we put in our mouths and eat can defile us. So original sin was not eating some natural fruit because that is never a bad action.

The body of flesh can do something that is both good and evil. "The tree of the knowledge of good and evil".

This reminds one of sex. God, in His permissive will, allows sex within marriage between a man and a woman but condemns it before marriage or outside of marriage.

Making a bride for Adam

Since putting the spirit of man into a body of flesh, we come to another problem area.

GENESIS 2:18   And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

“Meet” means suitable.

In Chapter 1 everything that God created was good.

In Genesis Chapter 2 there was a tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The chance to do wrong arose when the spirit was put into a body of flesh.

“Carnal knowledge” is the definition of sex. Children born of sex grow up to manifest both good and bad characteristics.

Once Adam was in the flesh he could be troubled by loneliness.

The only companion that would be suitable for him would be one who was part of him, as well as being opposite to him in her characteristics.

This is a law of nature that opposites attract.

The north pole of a magnet attracts the south pole of another magnet. That is why God made male and female different, in order to attract each other.

GENESIS 2:21   And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

This was the first operation under anaesthetic. The woman came from the side of man, close to his heart. A person to be loved as we always associate the heart with love.

GENESIS 2:22   And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

God brought the woman to the man.

GENESIS 2:23   And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Wo-man means taken out of man.

The flesh has limitations. The male body of Adam could not manifest the female characteristics in his spirit.

So, God separated the woman into a separate physical body that suited her feminine spirit or nature.

Now things looked normal.

The combined male-female spirit that was called Adam was separated into two separate male and female spirits that made up two separate people, Adam and his bride.

As a spirit, Adam was a male with female characteristics. But in a human male body, he could not manifest feminine characteristics. The feminine attributes had to be a separate feminine person in a separate female body.

The woman was of his flesh and bone. There was no blood. You cannot live eternally in a blood-filled body.

I CORINTHIANS 15:50   Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;

At this time everything in Eden was still part of eternity. So, Eden had to remain blood-free.

No man with blood has ever lived longer than 969 years, the age of Methuselah.

GENESIS 5:27   And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

So, the process to make the two humans who would start the human race, would require three steps.

The red spirit of man that had green feminine attributes was put into a body of flesh. From the side of that male body some flesh and bone was used to make a female body. Then at last the male and female spirits were in separate male and female bodies.

God had tried putting both male and female spirits into one physical body. God had it that way for a while but saw that it was not good. God changed things until each spirit was in a separate body. Only then was God happy.

A real irony is that church-goers say that Father, Son, and Holy Ghost have to be three separate Persons.

Yet the  LGBT claim that male and female can be one person.

Making a Bride for Jesus

These events in Eden were a forerunner of what God Himself would do 4000 years later.

As the Father, God was the supernatural above the Jews.

As the Son, He came down to live with the Jews.

Jesus had both human and supernatural characteristics.

He did the impossible as He was able to combine both God (as shown in John's Gospel) and man (as shown in Luke's Gospel) in one human body.

He alone could be King (as shown in Matthew) and Servant (as shown in Mark).

As the Father, God was above the Jews. As the Son, God was with the Jews. As the Holy Spirit, God is in the church people.

Three manifestations of one Spirit.

With Jesus, God followed the same pattern that He did with Adam.

Let yellow represent the supernatural Spirit and violet the human spirit.

God again followed three steps.

Our human characteristics were somewhere in God at the beginning.

Then all of God formed a human Body for Himself, the Man Jesus Who was called Emmanuel.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   For in him [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Then Jesus needed a Bride, the true church to be formed from His side.

In Scripture, sleep is a symbol of death.

DANIEL 12:2   And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

ACTS 7:59   And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

:60   … he fell asleep.

Adam was put to sleep to make a bride from his side, so Jesus was put to a deeper sleep, death.

JOHN 19:34   But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

A spear pierced His side and Blood, and water came out. Water symbolizes the Word.

REVELATION 1:5   Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

EPHESIANS 5:26   That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of

water by the word,

The Holy Ghost left His body as He died.

MATTHEW 27:50   Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

From the flesh and bone of Adam’s rib, God built him a bride.

From the Blood, the Water of the Word, and Spirit that left His body, Jesus would use these ingredients to build up a born-again Bride over 2000 years during the 7 church ages.

Blood cleanses our sins. Justification. Getting saved by grace through faith when we repent.

The water of the Word teaches us sanctification as it washes our unbelief away.

The Holy Spirit baptism comes to guide us into all truth so that we can understand the end-time mysteries of Scripture.

JOHN 16:13   Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

DANIEL 12:9   And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

At the end-time, the mysteries of Daniel’s symbols will be known by the Bride.

DANIEL 12:10   Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand;

but the wise shall understand.

Only the wise virgins of Matthew Chapter 25 will understand. If we do not understand the mysteries of Daniel then we are not part of the wise virgins. Then we are classified as wicked and in trouble.

The Spirit of Christ brings the supernatural into our lives but also brings the human nature that we were supposed to have at the beginning.

That makes us into the human being that God wants us to be.

That is why our old human nature that we were born with has to die.

Only Christ can be the Head of the church

Thus, Christ has guided His church through 2000 years by the Blood, water of the Word, and Spirit that left His Body on Calvary.

Portions of the Holy Spirit, ever since the Day of Pentecost, have split up and entered the born-again saints.

All the born-again saints from the last 2000 years have formed the Bride of Christ. They represent the human characteristics of God in their separate human bodies, but each also has a portion of the Holy Spirit.

Yellow represents the Holy Spirit. Violet represents human.

Christ is the supernatural God but He also has human (violet) qualities. The bride members are human but they also have the supernatural (yellow) qualities of Spirit and truth.

JOHN 4:24   God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Christ is the Bridegroom as He alone can be Man and God.

Christ is the Head of the church.

EPHESIANS 5:23   For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

EPHESIANS 5:32   This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

REVELATION 19:7   Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

:8   And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:

for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

The saints make up the body of the Bride.

Putting 2 spirits in one body does not work for humans

To successfully accept the Holy Spirit we have to die to ourselves.

Then the words "I" and "me" should not dominate our thinking.

We should rather be quoting the Bible.

Look what happened when Jesus met a madman.

MARK 5:8   For he said unto him, Come out of the man,

thou unclean spirit.

:9     And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying,

My name is Legion: for we are many.

More than one spirit in a man was demonology.

What we should aim for is Christ in us.

COLOSSIANS 1:27   To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles;

which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

On the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit split up and a portion of the Spirit went into each believer.

ACTS 2:4   And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost,

When the Holy Ghost comes into a person's heart, then it kills the old human spirit that was in that person.

I CORINTHIANS 15:31    I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord,

I die daily.

When our old spirit dies, only the portion of the Holy Spirit is alive in us.

That portion of Christ's Spirit brings with it the portion of God's humanity that He wanted us to be.

God wants to live out His human characteristics in us.

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” — 1 Corinthians 16:23
