The Bible has repeating patterns

The Israelites in Egypt are counted as 66 in Genesis 46:26, then 70 in Genesis 46:27, and then 75 in Acts 7:14.

What do we learn from these three numbers?

66 represents the number of Books in the Bible. The Word is the Seed of Eternal Life.

The total of 66 includes 4 great grandchildren who cover 4 generations if you include Jacob.

Four is the number of earthly redemption as 4 Gospels record the crucifixion which won our redemption down here on earth.

66 went with Jacob to Egypt. That makes 67 if you include Jacob.

But Joseph and his two sons were already in Egypt.

So 67 + 3 = 70

70 is a natural number for the Israelites.

70 weeks (of years) were allocated to the Israelites by Daniel.   70 x 7 = 490 years.

DANIEL 9:24   Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,

A day represents a year. So a week can be 7 years in prophecy.

GENESIS 29:27   Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

The Israelites had only used up 69½ weeks (of years) by the time God cut them off at Calvary. So God still owes the Israelites half a week or 3½ years which is the time of great Tribulation.

75 is the number of days from the end of the 1260 days of great Tribulation when the battle of Armageddon begins to the start of the Millennium or 1000 year Kingdom. These 75 days usher in the Millennium after the judgements of the 3½ years of the future great Tribulation are finished. That interval of time finishes human history as we know it and issues in the glorious Kingdom of Peace that is built on love as it is based on faith and innocence. Our present Gentile kingdoms rely on knowledge that is based on science and technology and these kingdoms will be destroyed before they destroy the earth with climate change, pollution, corruption, hatreds, and nuclear bombs.

Patriarchs Abraham (representing faith), Isaac (love), Jacob (grace, because he was a crook who became a champion of God), and Joseph (representing perfection as an Old Testament prophetic preview of the life of Christ. For instance, he was loved by his father but hated by his brethern) form a square foundation for the Old Testament Jews. On this foundation, God raised up the Jewish nation under the guidance of the prophets as if they were a statue with John the Baptist forming the neck. Waiting for their Head, Jesus Christ. When John was beheaded, his headless corpse represented the Jewish nation at that stage. All they needed was their Head, Jesus, Who was supposed to have a 7-year ministry and then set up His Kingdom of 1000 years of peace, with the Jews ruling the world.

But the Jewish religious leaders rejected Jesus Christ which ended that stage of Jewish history. God then rejected the Jews and turned to the Gentiles.

God began counting in 446 BC when Nehemiah was given the command to restore the city wall around Jerusalem which he did in 52 days. Jesus was baptized near the end of AD 29 to begin his 7-year ministry that should have ended around AD 36.

So, halfway through His ministry, they killed Jesus. God then turned to the Gentile church for 2000 years of the 7 church ages but still owed the Jews the last 3½ years, which will happen in the 3½ years of great Tribulation.

God promised the Jews 490 Bible years of 360 days (which is 483 of our Gentile 365.24-day years. Every 69 of our Gentile years will equal 70 Bible years). This means the Kingdom of 1000 years of peace would have started around AD 36.

During the 2000 years of the 7 church ages, there were two opposing vines in the church. The Roman Catholic denominational organization depended on an elevated man being the head of each church as the church system grew big. This was a false seed. They put a priest in charge of a local church as the head of the church. Then a Bishop is in charge of the priests in a city. Then an Archbishop over the Bishops, then a Cardinal over the Archbishops, and then finally a Pope as the one-man head of the religious system. he denominational system was established of having a man as the head of the church.

Nico in Greek means conquer. Laos in Greek means the people. Nicolaitans.Conquering the people. God hates that.

REVELATION 2:6   But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

The true believers were the small local churches that met in houses and were each run by a group of elders, not a one-man leader. They were usually obscure and little known. They only believed in the New Testament that the apostles had written.

Their main focus would be to go back to the beliefs of the original mother church that the apostles had established, starting on the Day of Pentecost.

When God catches up the church to Heaven for the Wedding Supper, then the Gospel will return to the Jews so that the 144000 Jews can be born again and Spirit-filled during the  3.5 years of great Tribulation.

Jacob had 12 sons and 51 grandsons which are mentioned in Genesis Chapter 46. Only one daughter (Dinah) and one granddaughter (Serah) are mentioned by name.

12 + 51 + 2 = 65

GENESIS 46:26   All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

The total should be 66.

Thus there must be an unmentioned daughter as well.

But Jacob had several daughters who are unmentioned.

GENESIS 37:35   And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted;

The Bible only mentions Jacob's daughter Dinah and his granddaughter Serah.

Another unknown daughter has to be included in the list, but her name is not mentioned.

Four great-grandchildren are added to the list as extras.

Except for Dinah, the unmentioned daughter, and Serah, the rest of the daughters and granddaughters are left out. So what is God trying to teach us with these extras and omissions?

God can express deep thoughts by what He leaves out

A woman symbolizes a church.

The women who are not mentioned by name tell us that God is not looking for a church at the end time that makes a name for herself.

God works with nobodies at the end time.

History proves, does now, proves (history does) that God always chose the nobodies to become His somebodies. God takes the person that's nothing.

63-0324  THE SEVENTH SEAL

 We don't want never put a man in it.

You forget anything about me. I am your brother, a sinner saved by grace, not fit to live;

that's exactly the truth; and I ain't saying that to be humble; that's facts.

There's nothing in me, not one sound thing at all.

But the grace of God has

let my poor dimming eyes look beyond the curtain of time and see those things yonder,

and I come back...

[Seeing things in the future like the Seventh Seal and seven Thunders]

There's no great man among us.

We're not great men, not great women--we're all brothers and sisters, all the same in the same bracket. We're no great.

One don't make one greater than the other one--not a thing at all to do.

No, sir. But we're just all human beings.

Don't try to interpret the things.

Don't try to do anything more than just live a close life, giving praise and honor to Jesus Christ.

Consider the following verse where night time is left out.

GENESIS 1:5   … And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The evening light is the end-time message to reveal the Bible mysteries.

The morning light has a double meaning. It can refer to the first church age that was set up by the apostles.The saints at the end of the seventh church age must return to the beliefs of the first church age.

The morning light can also refer to the start of the Millennium or 1000-year day where Christ sets up His Kingdom. Why is night left out? Because the end-time Bride goes to Heaven for the Wedding Supper. Not into the 3.5 years of great Tribulation which is represented by the darkness (lack of light) of night time.

JOHN 9:4   I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day:

the night cometh, when no man can work.

So, by leaving out the night, God is actually saying that the Bride will not go through the years of great Tribulation.

II PETER 3:8   But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

God sees the thousand years of His future Kindom as one day.

Thus, we can learn important lessons from what God leaves out.

ISAIAH 45:4   For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

Jacob (also called Israel as his surname is Israel) is going to start a journey down to Egypt that will symbolize the start of the Jews as a nation in the Old Testament as well as giving us some hints about the future church.

Previously God had dealt with individuals, Adam, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

But Jacob had a special place.

He was going to start the Jewish nation. From the Jews, the church would later emerge. So a future pattern was emerging in this Chapter.

Genesis 46:1   And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

Beersheba means "Well of the Oath" or "Well of Seven".

An oath means that what was said will come to pass.

God has a Plan and that is exactly what will happen. Already in this name we see the number 7 that hints at the future 7 church ages.

His father Isaac is mentioned. Isaac was famous for his beautiful love story with Rebekah which again speaks of Jesus and His love story with His Bride that He has pulled out of seven church ages.

GENESIS 46:2   And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

“I am” means God. Jacob is careful to say “Here am I”.

In other words, he is saying that no man can take the place of God.

Never promote a man to the Godhead by calling him infallible or calling him the son of man. Only Jesus, Who is the Word made flesh can be called that. A prophet is just a son of man.

“Jacob, Jacob” is a repetition. This journey to Egypt will speak of the Jews in the Old Testament. In addition, it will also tell us of God’s Bride in the New Testament.

GENESIS 46:3   And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:

His father was Isaac, known for his love story with Rebekah who was searched for by a servant-messenger and found in the evening time.

Rebekah listened to the messenger-servant but fell in love with Isaac, not the servant.

Symbolic of Christ using William Branham as the evening messenger to pull out the Bride by revealing the hidden mysteries of Scripture. The true Bride will love the Bible so much that they will be strongly attracted to the revealed truth of Scripture at the end time.

Not attracted to a man, attracted to the revealed Word which is Christ.

65-0429   THE  CHOOSING  OF  A  BRIDE 

While, the true Bride attracts the attention of God, by keeping His Word.

Jacob has a key position. The social conditions are changing. Now God was going to lay down the start of His only chosen nation. That has a deep spiritual meaning. The only nation in the Old Testament that was built on prophecies and Bible patterns. God was starting to deal with a nation, not just with individuals.

GENESIS 46:4   I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

Going into Egypt seemed to be a backward step as Egypt symbolizes worldliness. But God would bring them back to the Promised Land again.

This was also the pattern for the church. Losing the original Bible Truth at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325 when the unscriptural word Trinity was accepted and then falling into pagan errors, political power, and worldliness in the Dark Ages. But God would restore the church through the Reformers. Martin Luther preached getting saved by faith and John Wesley preached holiness.

The Pentecostals restored the power of the Spirit. Brother Branham, between 1947 and 1965, finally restored the original truths of the first church age.

Joseph, the son who typed Jesus, would be at the death of Jacob to “close his eyes”.

This is a preview of how the power of death would be broken when Jesus removed the sting of death which is sin, at Calvary. Thus all repentant Christians can close their eyes safely in death because Jesus paid the price for their salvation.

Seed is a symbol of the Word of God

GENESIS 46:5   And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

So the entire family went down to Egypt in the Egyptian wagons.

GENESIS 46:6   And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:

LUKE 8:11   Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

The Seed of Life in the New Testament is the Word of God that enables the church to be born again. The Seed Word of God is in Christ. From Him, the church is born again.

The Old Testament Jewish nation is born from the natural seed of Jacob.

Seed speaks of children and grandchildren (and 4 extra great-grandchildren).

Four generations are in the loins of a man.

HEBREWS 7:9   And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

:10     For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Levi was the great-grandchild, yet Abraham is called his father.

That is the mysterious power of the male seed. Four generations are in a man and thus any of those generations can call that man “Father” because they were in him at one time.

This tells us that God does not want grandchildren. He wants you to be a son or daughter of God. Each of us must be born again of the spirit of Christ so that we can directly call Him, “Father”.

Jesus does not want born-again people to approach Him through some church or some pastor or being dominated by some other person. You must have a personal relationship with Jesus that has got nothing to do with any other person. You must only believe what is written in the King James Bible. Do not accept words that are not in the Bible

GENESIS 46:7   His sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.

The seed that was in Jacob would come forth as sons and daughters.

But only his sons had seed to produce the next generation of grandsons and granddaughters. His son’s wives did not count as his seed.

We can only be the seed of Christ if we were originally in Him, in His mind at the beginning.

Job was complaining about his present distress. God reminded him that when He began to create the earth, all the sons of God that were in Him, that were the seed of God, shouted for joy when they saw their future home start coming into being. Then they knew that sometime in the future God would bring them forth from being a thought in the Mind of God until they were breathed into a physical body to dwell on the earth.

The secret depends on our origin.

If people started as a seed thought in God’s Mind then they would return to God when they appeared on planet Earth. Having been in the Mind of God, they would always be impressed with the thoughts of God and would respond to the Bible as that laid out the thoughts of God.

JOB 38:4   Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

JOB 38:7   When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Having been in God’s Mind or Spirit at the beginning, our deep thoughts will always be fascinated and in love with God’s deep thoughts. We will not be interested in the thinking of man. The King James Version of the Bible will be our infallible Absolute that we search for the knowledge of what a verse means and the wisdom to tie the different verses together. We cannot argue with the Mind of God and His thoughts that are expressed in the Bible. We cannot accept that there are any mistakes in the King James Bible.

PSALM 42:7   Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts:

Where the Bible is too deep for us to understand, we pray for a deeper revelation to overcome our human ignorance. We never ignore or change the Bible's words.

GENESIS 46:8   And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.

Now follows a list of sons and grandsons of Jacob.  But the Bible does not say grandsons but rather calls them his son’s sons.

The idea is that God works with sons, people who are born again of His Spirit.

God wants no man between you and Him.

All priests were equal. Only the High Priest (Jesus) is above a priest. All born-again people are priests, and thus all are equal. There must be no elevated Nicolaitan as a pastor who claims to be the head who is above the laity or congregation. Nico means to conquer in Greek.  Conquering the laity or congregation by making them subject to a one-man-church-head is something God hates.

REVELATION 2:6   But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

I PETER 2:9   But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,

The 6 sons of Leah who was the first wife of Jacob

GENESIS 46:9   And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.

1. Reuben had 4 sons.

GENESIS 46:10   And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.

2. Simeon had 6 sons.

GENESIS 46:11   And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

3. Levi had 3 sons

GENESIS 46:12   And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.

4. Judah had 3 sons that survived.

But 2 extra grandsons of Judah are added in. Hezron and Hamul the sons of his son Pharez.

These 2 will be shown in brackets.

GENESIS 46:13   And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.

5. Issachar had 4 sons.

GENESIS 46:14   And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.

6. Zebulun had 3 sons.

Total of son’s sons so far: 4+ 6 + 3  + 3 (+ 2) + 4 + 3 = 25 plus the 6 sons of Jacob = 31

GENESIS 46:15   These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.

God does not have grandchildren. So all the seed of Jacob, even if they are grandsons are still called sons because when his sons were in his loins, their sons were also in them at that stage. Thus technically, the grandsons were also in his loins and could be called sons.

Dinah and an unnamed daughter symbolize the church.

1 daughter, Dinah, is mentioned.  31 + 1 = 32

Thus, there is at least one unmentioned daughter to get 33.

Micah is the 33^rd Book of the Bible.  Micah speaks of Jesus as the Ruler and the 8 principal men who wrote the New Testament. Then the 7 messengers who tried to steer each church age towards the Scriptures.

Add on 16 Books to the 33rd Book of Micah and we get to the 49th Book which is Ephesians, which symbolizes the first church age of Ephesus.

So, the aim of Christ with His church would be based on the foundation of the Ephesian church age beliefs and seven shepherds who would try to get each church age as close to the first church age as possible.

A woman symbolizes a church. God does not want the true church to take on a human name.

This daughter had no name that was mentioned.

She would symbolize the early church that was just called Christians.

They were humble and unnoticed. They were small local groups that met in houses and each local group was run by local elders. They did not have a one-man-head as Bishop or pastor.

Remember, Eve only received her name after she had sinned. Before that she was just called woman.

When a church takes on some name, other than Christian, then they have fallen into sin.

We must just be Christians. Never Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals, nor "In the Message" (whatever that means).

Dinah was violated which speaks of the church being suppressed and persecuted. The church was also violated by growing big and becoming subject to a single, ambitious one-man leader who ruled each church as a Priest or Bishop.

Forcing a woman (or church) to be subject to the will of a man is just spiritual rape.

Finally, a Pope dominated all the churches as he led them into the Dark Ages where the church was prostituted to man-made opinions and doctrines.

The dilution of Christianity with paganism and the mysteries of Babylon turned the Roman church into Mystery Babylon.

The Roman Catholic church had enough paganism to attract the barbarians

and thus remained the only Roman institution that survived the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

THE CHURCH AGE OF THE LAODICEANS

“Be zealous and repent.” Now, this false church has zeal; make no mistake about that. Her zeal has literally been that of the Jews, John 2:17, “The zeal of thine house hath eaten Me up.” 

But it is a wrong zeal. It is for the house of their own building. It is for their own creeds, dogmas, organizations,

their own righteousness. 

They have put the Word out for their own ideas.

They deposed the Holy Ghost and made men into leaders. 

They have put aside Eternal Life as a Person, and make it good works, or even church conformity rather than good works."

The Bible is Jesus in Word form, as it reveals His thinking.

Meanwhile, the churches have become unscriptural distractions that deceive us.

The sign on the door says “Christian” but the business inside is “Deception”.

Show me by the Bible what's greater, in the Bible, than a local elder to a local church? That's right, yes, sir, the sovereignty of the local church, each church in itself.

65-0220  GOD'S  CHOSEN  PLACE  OF  WORSHIP

They think you have to belong to that certain church or you cannot go to Heaven. That's wrong. To believe that, is antichrist.

I'll say this:

if you believe in such a spirit, you're lost.

Consider the one daughter who is not mentioned.

Jacob’s unmentioned daughter speaks of the true church being humble and unknown

as they quietly served God by obeying His Word.

They formed small local churches that met in houses.

The Laodicean church met in houses.

COLOSSIANS 4:15    Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas,

and the church which is in his house.

These local churches were each run by a group of elders who shared the preaching and the responsibility of making decisions. There was no one man claiming to be the pastor in order to be the head of the church.

The word "pastors" is only mentioned once in the New Testament, so a pastor has no Scriptural authority to be the head of the church.

ACTS 20:17   And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

:28   Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers,

to feed the church of God,

which he hath purchased with his own blood.

These churches never took on a human name.

They never called themselves Catholics, Lutherans, Branhamites, In the Message, etc.

62-0601  TAKING  SIDES  WITH  JESUS

Now, do you know, when those early men went out, sometimes there were only about six or eight of them, together? And they shook the country. Well, you know, when Aquila and Priscilla, that great revival that Apollos was having over there, there was only about six or eight men and women in that bunch. That whole church meant six or eight. You got five or six, seven times as many here tonight as they had then.

You know, Jesus only had twelve apostles. We always thinking of something big. But God don't deal in them big numbers.

It's in these little groups is where He gets it.

See? Look all down through the age, at any time He ever met with men.

It was in small groups, see, and spoke with them, and ordained them.

It's God's good pleasure to do that. That's the way He likes to do it. And now we just want to keep God in our midst, and go, doing these things.

So, the early church started out with scattered, small groups as that was the only way to survive the fierce persecution of the pagan Roman Empire. You had to be unknown to the authorities.

These early Christians spread the name of Jesus throughout the world but they did not seek to make names for themselves. Thus, they remained unknown to historians. Human names are unimportant in the Gospel.

We do not have a record of a church building being built before AD 222 - 235.

The early church never had a name for the church but they knew that the name of God was Jesus Christ.

The modern Christians all have names for their churches but they do not know the name of God. They cannot find one name for three Persons.

Jacob had 16 descendants from Zilpah the maid of Leah

GENESIS 46:16   And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

7. Gad had 7 sons.

GENESIS 46:17   And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.

Asher had 4 sons.

GENESIS 46:18   These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.

Gad and Asher were the sons of Zilpah.

Asher had 2 grandsons mentioned (Heber and Malchiel), just like Judah's grandsons Hezron and Hamul .

These do not really belong in the category of Jacob’s son’s sons as they are great-grandchildren of Jacob. These 4 symbolize the 4 Gospels as unique Books dealing with the Life of Jesus.

Asher also has a daughter (Jacob’s granddaughter) who is never mentioned elsewhere.

Her name Serah is very similar to Abraham’s wife Sarah. What does she represent? A church at the end that is almost the same as the first Hebrew woman or church.

Thus, Jacob had a daughter Dinah, an unnamed daughter and a granddaughter Serah whose name was going back to Sarah who had given birth to Isaac, the promised son.

Sarah as the first Hebrew woman symbolized the original church.

The women in this Chapter are a type or a symbol of the church during the church ages.

The unnamed daughter and granddaughter Serah. Two generations. This symbolizes the children in the last church age turning back to the older generation of the first church age.

A donkey and its colt carried in the Word on Palm Sunday. Two generations. Symbolic of the first church age apostolic fathers and the last church age children that have to turn back to the fathers in order to learn and carry the Bible truth.

Sarah was the original Hebrew wife. So, Serah symbolized the children turning back to the original church.

2 children of Jacob were  Gad and Asher.

In addition there were  7 + 4 =  11 grandchildren.   2 great-grandsons.     1 grandaughter.     16 souls in this group.

Joseph and Benjamin symbolize Jesus and the 144000 Jews

GENESIS 46:19   The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.

Joseph is the symbol or type of Christ who was given a Gentile Bride.

Benjamin represents the 144000 Jews. His mother died when he was born. Two-thirds of the Jews will die in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation when the 144000 receive Christ.

ZECHARIAH 13:8   And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD,

two parts therein shall be cut off and die;

but the third shall be left therein.

GENESIS 46:20   And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.

9. Joseph had 2 sons

GENESIS 46:21   And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

10. Benjamin had 10 sons

Total.   2 sons + 12 grandsons = 14

GENESIS 46:22   These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.

Jacob served fourteen years for Leah (the Jews) and Rachel (the church).

Jacob worked 7 years for each wife.

This symbolized Jesus working through 7 church ages for His Bride.

The Jews also went through 7 ages.

Compare Jewish history with the 7 churches in Revelation Chapters 2 and 3.

(1) Abraham left his first love Sarah for Hagar. (2) Joseph was put in prison. (3) Moses opposed Balaam. (4) Elijah opposed Jezebel.  (5) Ezra brought the treasure into the Temple. That was a preview of Luther bringing salvation by faith alone into the church. (6) Nehemiah built the strong wall of Jerusalem symbolizing holiness and outreach as the strength of Christianity that led to the missionary age. (7) Then John the Baptist introduced Jesus as a Man walking amongst men. Brother Branham taught us how to understand the mysteries of the Bible so that we can see Jesus, not as a Man,  but as a revelation or understanding as He walks through the pages of the Bible.

GENESIS 46:23   And the sons of Dan; Hushim.

11. Dan had 1 son.

GENESIS 46:24   And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

12. Naphtali had 4 sons.

2 sons + 5 grandsons = 7 souls

GENESIS 46:25   These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.

Again, the emphasis on 7.

The 7^th church age ends with the revelation of the 7 Seals by the 7^th Angel. Remember, the Seventh Seal is revealed to be a total mystery as it refers to the Coming of the Lord which is the biggest mystery in the universe.

REVELATION 10:7   But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Then the seven Thunders produce the changing of the body which alone can give rapturing faith, as we cannot be raptured in these old bodies.

Then the 3.5 years of great Tribulation starts with seven Trumpets calling the Jews back to Israel while the seven Vials of wrath are poured out on the world.

The total family of Jacob was  33 + 16 +14 + 7 = 70

But Joseph and his 2 sons were already in Egypt.

The total that came to Egypt should be 70 – 3 = 67

But only 66 came into Egypt with Jacob.

GENESIS 46:26   All the souls

that came with Jacob into Egypt,

which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

God has added up what suited Him to get an answer of 66 to symbolize the Books in the Bible, His Word.

In other words, everything will go along the pattern that is laid out in the Scriptures. God can leave out or add in as it suits Him to reveal certain aspects of His Plan.

God adds up the seed of Jacob in 3 different ways

God adds up Jacob’s seed in 3 different ways to signify 3 important points.

GENESIS 46:26   All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

66 came with Jacob.

So, 66 + Jacob adds up to 67.

There were already 3 in Egypt. Joseph and his two sons.

67 + 3 = 70

GENESIS 46:27   And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

A score is 20. That adds up to 60 + 10 = 70

The "house" of Jacob includes Jacob.

ACTS 7:14   Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

The house of Jacob in Egypt adds up to 70 but are also mentioned as 75. We need an explanation.

When we add up all the children and grandchildren and four great-grandchildren we get 70 souls.

What was important about this number?

Acts 7:14 mentions a figure of 75. Why this number? Who are the extras?

God had three different lessons that He wants us to learn from these descendants of Jacob.

Jacob’s seed, his sons and grandsons who were all in his loins at one time when he was a young man, are going to represent the establishment of the Word of God which has 66 Books.

To get this total of 70 we needed 4 great-grandchildren (who do not really belong amongst the sons and son's sons).

(2 great-grandchildren from each of Judah and Asher).

The Bible is made from the Old Testament and the New Testament which are joined by the mysterious four Gospels. These Gospels speak of a virgin birth which is impossible for us humans. A resurrection from the dead, which is also impossible for us humans. Creating bread for 5000 men from the lunch of a schoolboy. A Man walking on water. God dwelling fully in one Man. A Man Who lived on earth and in Heaven at the same time. A perfect sacrifice on behalf of filthy sinners.

All of these statements are totally unusual. Very unexpected and impossible for us humans to perform. They do not come from normal life on earth but represent a transition period as the Old Testament moves away from the Jews and their physical sacrifices and their Temple. The Jews were not aware that they were fading out.

Yet, Jesus only dealt with the Jews in order to give them every chance to accept Him.

MATTHEW 10:5   These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying,

Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

The Gospels explain the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus which fulfilled what the Law had been speaking about and thus ended the animal sacrifices and the Levitical priesthood.

Jesus had to deal with the Jews to be rejected by them so that He could turn to the Gentiles in the Book of Acts. Thus the four Gospels form an overlap between Jews and Gentiles.

Jews and Gentiles are different yet fuse together in the death and resurrection of Christ.

The four Gospels are unique Books. The only time that God Himself was on earth was in the form of a Man.

Jesus somehow fulfills the Old Testament and launches the New Testament.

Matthew and Mark make many references that can be related to the future Gentile church. At the time of the resurrection, which also previews the resurrection of the New Testament saints, they refer to one angel or prophetic messenger to the Gentiles. Brother Branham from America.

Matthew and Mark see the Life of Christ more from the perspective of the Gentile church.

Luke and John make many references to the future of the Jews, especially the 144000 in great Tribulation. At the time of the resurrection, they refer to the two angels or prophetic messengers that bring the 144000 Jews to Christ. They are Moses and Elijah.

Luke and John see the Life of Christ more from the perspective of the Jews.

The New Testament tells us of the church that really started on the Day of Pentecost in the Book of Acts.

The 4 Gospels were laying the foundation for the church although neither the disciples nor the Gentiles had any idea what was going on.

Later, the Gentiles would realize that the timeline from which they could start counting their salvation Plan is from the start of the Gospels. Without the Gospels, the Gentiles would not have a starting point.

Jesus alone knew what was going on during most of the four Gospels.

For the disciples, the Gospels end in a confusing time at the death and resurrection of Christ. This is a preview of the seventh church age when the church will end in a confusing time when the resurrection of the New Testament saints occurs.

Peter objected when Jesus came to wash his feet. Imagine arguing with Jesus!

JOHN 13:6    Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

:7   Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Jesus just reminded Peter that at that stage Peter simply did not understand the purpose of the Gospel. But he would learn later in the Book of Acts that the Gentiles were to come in, starting with the Roman centurion Cornelius.

Feet-washing represented the feet of the Gentile image seen by Nebuchadnezzar which symbolize the clay of the Gentile Bride that can produce life when washed in the water of the Word. Daniel saw "miry clay", washed in water.

Thus the feet of the Gentile image represent the seven church ages. The Roman Catholic church of iron versus the Christians who oppose the Roman Catholic church.

DANIEL 2:43   And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay [in the feet], they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

The iron of denominational church religion with its human hierarchy of an elevated one-man leader does not attact true believers.

The 4 Gospels seem to be a group of Books on their own, represented by the 4 great-grandsons.

The 4 Gospels are a transition period. The Old Testament finds its fulfillment in the New Testament.

The New Testament finds its origin and outline or shadow in the Old Testament.

The uniqueness of the 4 Gospels was previewed in Genesis Chapter 15 in the covenant God made with Abraham.

Abraham cut three animals in half and then he placed the halves facing each other with a gap in between. This represents the Old and New Testaments with the four Gospels covering the gap between them.

GENESIS 15:12   And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

Abraham fell asleep (symbolizing death) with a horror of great darkness (human sin) and the smoke of a furnace (the fires of hell).

GENESIS 15:17   And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace,

and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

The burning lamp passing between the pieces was Christ dying to release the Holy Ghost from His Body so that the Holy Ghost (the Spirit of a dead Man) could carry our sins down to hell and dump them on the Devil. This great event happened during the 4 Gospels that are placed between the Old and New Testaments.

The future sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons are all in the loins of a young man. So, a man influences the next three generations.

HEBREWS 7:9   And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

All the people whose names are found in the Book of Life, the Bible, had to be a thought or seed in the mind of Christ even before the foundation of the world. The church is the spiritual seed of Christ Who is the Word of God.

The start of the Jewish nation was the natural seed of Jacob.

Thus the natural seed of Jacob that started the Jewish nation also formed a preview of the future church.

Leah had 33 descendants and Jesus died in AD 33

The 33 souls from Leah’s descendants type the 33 years of Jesus’ life.

GENESIS 46:15   These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.

A newly born baby has 33 moveable vertebrae in the backbone. The backbone enables us to walk upright.

The 33 immediate descendants of Jacob through Leah, his first wife, are the birth of the Jewish nation.

When we become adults, 9 bones fuse so that there are 24 moveable vertebrae. This represents the 24 elders around the throne.

The 7 vertebrae in the neck represent the 7 church ages to pull out His Bride.

The 12 vertebrae connected to the ribs represent the 12 tribes of Israel.

The 5 lumbar vertebrae represent the 5 wise virgins at the end of the 7 th church age.

7 + 12 + 5 = 24

The five sacrum vertebrae that fuse together refer to the foolish virgins who are saved but foolishly follow or fuse together with what their churches say, not what the Bible says. They miss out on the rapture and 1000-year reign, but are spared on Judgement day because they were saved before great Tribulation started. They conformed to their church, rather than the Bible. Thus they had no real freedom of belief. Fused vertebrae have no freedom of movement.

REVELATION 4:4   And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders

The 33^rd Old Testament Book is Micah that has two key prophecies. One for Christ and one for his church.

So the Old Testament was setting the stage for the church.

MICAH 5:2   But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Jesus is the future ruler.

He is coming for His church which is based on the 8 principal men who wrote the New Testament, which is the Absolute Truth. Then there are 7 shepherds, the seven messengers to the seven church ages who did their best to try to keep the church Scriptural.

The Assyrian represents Satan who is the enemy of the church. The Roman Catholic church is the only organization that opposed the Bible truth throughout all seven church ages.

MICAH 5:5   And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

Five wise virgins represent the extra five

So, who did God leave out, and why?

All the descendants in Jacob’s household were now 70.

66 + Joseph + 2 sons of Joseph =  69

But the house of Jacob must include Jacob.

GENESIS 46:27   And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

In the group that went down to Egypt, God left out the unnamed daughter who had been added to Leah's list.

Why? Because Egypt represents the world. Going to Egypt was a form of backsliding. So God leaves out the unnamed daughter who represents the first church age. They had the full truth and while the apostles were alive, they never backslid as a church. Individuals would go wrong, but the church as a whole stayed with the apostles' doctrine.

Joseph had carried his two children down into Egypt in his loins.

Joseph never went willingly to Egypt. He had been sold there as a slave. He went against his own will.

Jesus has to take our sins on Himself, against His own will.

MARK 14:36   And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

70 is a key number in Scripture.

70 years of captivity in Babylon because of the disobedience of the Jews.

So the initial number of 70 means that they were destined to go into captivity in Babylon.

In the same way, the church was destined to go into the Dark Ages when they forsook the Scriptures.

70 members started the Jews.

70 weeks were allocated to the Jews by Daniel. This is 490 days.

A day represents a year.

GENESIS 29:27   Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

From the command to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem which was given to Nehemiah in 446 BC, the Jews had 490 of their Bible years of 360 days. This is equal to 483 of our Gentile years of 365.24 days

This should have ended in AD 36. But they killed Jesus in AD 33.

Thus the Jews are still owed 3.5 years in the Tribulation.

Joseph who saved Egypt from dying of starvation represented Christ Who died to save us.

Benjamin represents the 144000 Jews who are saved in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation. God stopped counting time for the Jews at Calvary. He will start counting again after the Rapture when the church is caught up to meet Jesus in the air. That is when great Tribulation starts.

GENESIS 46:28   And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

Goshen was on the eastern side of the Nile river.

This was like the start of the Bible where God had planted a Garden in the east of Eden.

GENESIS 2:8   And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden;

Jesus, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, leads the way to show us the way.

GENESIS 46:29   And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

GENESIS 46:30   And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.

Israel is the surname of Jacob.

ISAIAH 45:4   For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

:31    And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;

:32   And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.

:33   And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?

Joseph wanted them to tell a lie because Egyptians hated shepherds. That was a big mistake.

We must never compromise to fit in with others.

GENESIS 46:34    That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

The Egyptians hated sheep. God chose a lamb for the Passover sacrifice. The Egyptians would never agree to that.

Christians would be hated for being strictly Scriptural.

Being Scriptural rejects the Trinity, Christmas, Good Friday, Pastor is the head of the church, brother Branham is infallible.

Get rid of those ideas and see how unpopular you are in the church-world.

ACTS 7:14   Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

All his kindred jumped the number from 70 to 75.

There were 5 extras.

These were the daughters of Jacob that are not mentioned by name.

A woman represents a church. God does not want the church to be numbered with the mark of the beast, 666.

So God symbolized this by not numbering the women by name.

REVELATION 13:17    And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Jacob had many daughters.

They are not mentioned in the Old Testament because, as women, they symbolized the church.

And the seven church ages were the big secret of the Old Testament that the Jews knew nothing about.

So God did not mention too much about the women.

ROMANS 16:25   Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ,

according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

But the extra five daughters refer to the five wise virgins.

They will find the truth at the end-time and will thus be allowed into the Wedding Supper when they are caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
