Communion, part 3

Melchizedek, Joseph, and the Passover lamb all point to Communion. Feetwashing has deep implications.

Communion Part 3

God desires to commune with His people

On the Day of Pentecost God came down to commune with people.

ACTS 2:1   And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

:2   And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

:3   And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

:4   And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues,

as the Spirit gave them utterance.

:12   And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

:13   Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

Wine is the symbol of the stimulation of revelation as the Holy Spirit opened their eyes to the truth of God’s Word.

God could speak to the people through the Scriptures that they were able to understand.

That is why the apostles kept preaching to the people from what was written in the Old Testament.

The apostles established the New Testament faith on the foundation of the Old Testament faith.

That is what makes Christianity unique.

It is the only religion that is based on a previous religion that it has to fulfill.

:14   But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

:15   For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

They were so exhilarated by God’s revelations that they staggered around as if they were drunk.

:16   But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

:17   And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

The wine of spiritual revelation gave them access to deeper insights into God’s truth.

EPHESIANS 5:16   Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

:17   Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

:18   And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

:19   Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Understanding the Will of God for today by getting a revelation of the hidden Bible mysteries is our source of joy.

Wine symbolizes the Stimulation of Revelation

The Old Testament Jews did not have the communion of the Holy Spirit so they were allowed to drink natural wine to get happy. But this easily led to drunkenness. Our happiness comes from the Holy Spirit revealing Scripture.

Understanding the written Bible should be a deep source of stimulation.

This is the surest proof of the Holy Ghost baptism.

JOHN 16:13   Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

We can only understand the Bible if the Holy Spirit speaks to us through the Word by guiding our thoughts along with the relevant Scriptures that form a pattern to reveal the truth of that topic.

REVELATION 6:5   And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

:6   And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

The Third Seal deals with the 5th and 6th church ages when the truth was being restored. (It also refers to the seventh church age as the Fourth Seal deals with great Tribulation and Death. The Fourth Seal s difficult to understand.) The Catholic church was selling the Word of God (the wheat and barley) to get rich. The sale of indulgences, to buy forgiveness of sin, brought in enough money to build the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s church in Vatican City. God replied by increasing the power of the Holy Spirit (oil) so that Luther, with human wisdom, could restore salvation by grace through faith in Jesus alone. This was the spiritual wine or stimulation of revelation that inspired the Reformation and formed the basis of the great Missionary age when John Wesley’s restoration of holiness was added in. The wine was growing stronger as sanctification was then joined to justification.

People got their joy from the stimulation of being saved and then from separating from the world because of their holy lives. In the fifth church age, God focused on the wheat and barley (the bread of life, the Bible) by inspiring human scholarship to correctly translate the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts between 1604 and 1769 into the King James Version of the Bible. The oil of the Holy Spirit and the wine of the stimulation of revelation both combined to form this Jewel of the English language. English would become the dominant language on the internet, an American invention, that enables God's Word to spread around the world.

Grape juice rots quickly, especially in former years when there were no fridges and no tins.

But Sanctification in the 6th church age took Justification from the 5th church age and added holiness and outreach. The restored truth was getting stronger. Then the Pentecostal power was added to the church in the 1900s, making the truth even stronger. Then brother Branham restored the mysteries of Scripture between 1947 and 1965 which made the truth even stronger.

Thus grape juice, which does not get stronger with time, was not a good symbol of the Blood of the Lord during the Reformation of the 5th and 6th church ages. Wine, that improves with age, was a better symbol for the Blood of the Lord. But this only permits a person to take a sip of wine at the communion service. This does not justify drinking wine on other occasions. The alcohol in wine acted as medicine in earlier centuries but today there are many medicines that can replace wine as a medicine.

The Token – The Proof that the price has been paid

EXODUS 12:13   And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Salvation depended on the lamb’s blood being visible on the vertical and horizontal door timbers.

The only proof of salvation is the Blood of Jesus that was splashed onto the vertical and horizontal beams of the cross. This has to be accepted by faith. We cannot save ourselves.

Bread and Wine

GENESIS 14:17   And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.

:18   And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

:19   And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

God made a human body for Himself out of a handful of dust. Then He appeared as a High Priest and spoke to Abraham, who was called Abram at that time, offering Abraham the bread and wine which would later be the elements of the communion. In this body, God was not a Kinsman Redeemer because He had not been born as a baby like we are.

“Salem” means peace.

God alone can be King and High Priest.

No other man qualifies to hold both of those positions. Due to our human frailty, people are corrupted by power. God must limit the power that He gives to His people because humans tend to abuse power and wealth.

PSALM 110:4   The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

The Hebrew spelling is Melchizedek. This would be the priesthood that God Himself held, that lasted forever as it would not be corrupted by humans like Caiaphas who ended the Aaronic priesthood by tearing his garments.

LEVITICUS 10:6   And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die,

MATTHEW 26:65   Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy;

HEBREWS 5:6   As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

This is the Greek spelling.

HEBREWS 5:8   Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

:9     And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

:10   Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Jesus was perfect as a Person. But as He fulfilled the Scriptures that spoke of Messiah, so He was made the perfect fulfillment of all the Scriptures.

Jesus alone could be the High Priest of the order of Melchisedec because He is Emmanuel, God with us, after being born as a Baby and thus being a Kinsman Redeemer.

HEBREWS 7:1   For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

:2   To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

Abraham, in the presence of God, felt an overwhelming urge to give back to God at least 10% of all that he had. This tithe was not based on an after-tax amount. It was based on all he had. Nobody told him to do it. It was voluntary and spontaneous. That is the way that humans respond when they get into the presence of God.

HEBREWS 7:3   Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

God created a body out of the dust and was thus never born, and then when His visit was over He left the body which returned back to a handful of dust. There was no rotting corpse, so there was no recorded death. Thus, God never died nor ended His Life, He merely changed His tent as the Holy Spirit moved out of the temporary human body.

Jesus cannot die again after His resurrection. He will dwell forever in His nail-marked immortal Body. Thus He will continually be the High Priest of Melchisedec throughout all of eternity.

HEBREWS 7:12   For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

The High Priest of Melchisedec, with His endless eternal Life, replaced the Aaronic High Priest who lived by the Law and died.

HEBREWS 7:15   And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

:16   Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

:17   For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

“Forever”. When we accept Jesus as our High Priest then He holds that office forever. His position is eternal, we will never need another High Priest.

Joseph, great-grandson of Abraham, was the perfect type of Christ

Joseph was hated by his brothers but loved by his father. Falsely accused and imprisoned with two criminals. One criminal lived and the other died.

He left prison and rose to power as every knee had to bow when he came to people.

(Falsely accused, Jesus was crucified between two criminals. Only one thief on the cross accepted Jesus and gained eternal Life. Jesus resurrected to Heaven and every knee will bow when He returns).

GENESIS 40:1   And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.

:2   And Pharaoh was wroth against two of  his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.

:3   And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.

The two criminals were in jail with Joseph.

GENESIS 40:3    And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.

They both dreamed dreams and Joseph interpreted them. To the butler he said:

GENESIS 40:13   Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.

The wine represented life to the butler. The bread represented death to the baker. Thus, in communion the bread is broken, symbolizing death.

Joseph said to the baker:

GENESIS 40:19   Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.

The bread represented death. Jesus was dead (the broken bread) for three days in the tomb. Then He arose to Life after three days (the wine).

GENESIS 40:20   And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

:21   And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:

:22   But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.

The correct Time for Communion is when it is dark

EXODUS 12:5   Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

:6   And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

Chosen on the 10th day and killed on the 14th day.

Jesus was chosen in public on Palm Sunday. So, that was the 10th day.

The 14th day would be the following Thursday. Calvary was on a Thursday.

“Good Friday” is unscriptural as well as being the wrong date, invented by the Roman Catholic church around the time of the Council of Nicaea in AD 325.

Jesus had to spend 3 nights in the tomb before resurrecting early on Sunday morning.

Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night.

MATTHEW 12:40   For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

The darkness of the tomb symbolized the darkness of sin and Satan as Jesus descended to hell to defeat Satan. It was a vicious battle that He won in the darkness.

EXODUS 12:8   And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

The night was symbolic of the darkness of the bottomless pit of hell. Jesus walked over the fires of hell to dump our sins onto the Devil. Unleavened bread has no leaven or yeast that symbolizes corruption. Jesus was perfectly holy. Hellfire can only burn up sin. There was no sin in Him, so hellfire could not burn Him. Unleavened bread represented His holy body of flesh.

Carrying our filthy sins was the most bitter experience for Him.

EXODUS 12:12   For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

In the darkness of night, symbolic of sin, judgement struck Egypt. Every home that had no blood on the door lost their firstborn.

EXODUS 12:29   And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

:31   And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.

It took the shock of brutal death to knock some sense into Pharaoh’s head.

In the darkness of the night that represents the Great Tribulation, the brutal massacres done by the final antichrist Pope will finally knock some sense into the foolish or fooled virgins' heads. These Christians were saved before the Tribulation started, and will finally realize that they should have been strictly Scriptural rather than being complacently asleep. Their pastors led them away from much that is written in the Bible. But when they are killed they will realize how false their church leadership was. Jesus and John the Baptist were never polite when they spoke to the Jewish religious leaders like the Pharisees and Sadducees. At the Second Coming, as at the First Coming,  the error is to be found predominantly in the leadership.

1 CORINTHIANS 11:23   For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

It was nighttime when Jesus instituted the communion.

JOHN 13:1   Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

:2   And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

The darkness of night is the best time for Satan to enter human hearts to inspire them to commit sin.

MATTHEW 27:45   Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

The revealed Word produces the Light for our last church age

MARK 15:33   And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

LUKE 23:44   And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

Jewish time was measured from sunrise, which we call six o’clock. So their sixth hour was midday, which we call the 12th hour.

There was unnatural darkness for three hours. It was not an eclipse of the sun. The longest possible eclipse of the sun is about 7.5 minutes only.

The natural sun refused to shine when sin and sinners were killing the Light of the world.

On the cross, Jesus suffered the torments and attacks of all the demonic forces of darkness. The price He had to pay for all our sins was unimaginably high.

JOHN 8:12   Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

JOHN 9:5  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

William Branham is not the light of the world. He came to reveal Jesus, as the revealed Word.

Brother Branham came to reveal the light of the Word. Thus when the prophet left the scene, the light of the Word could continue to guide our paths.

Brother Branham came to reveal the Son of man walking through the pages of the Bible. His quotes reveal the mystery of God’s Word, they do not replace God’s Word.

Brother Branham was a signpost that pointed to the Way.

But Jesus is the Way, the revealed Word, that we have to walk.

63-0630   THE  THIRD  EXODUS

… for they can hear plainly the God's Voice, calling, through His Word

...  Listen to the Bible, the Voice of God calling to you in this day.

JOHN 12:46    I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Darkness is believing something unscriptural. Deifying brother Branham is all wrong. The New Testament never promised us the Voice of God at the end-time, only the voice of the seventh angel and then the voice of the Archangel to perform the resurrection.

MALACHI 4:1   For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

The error will eventually be burned up. First in the Great Tribulation and then in the Lake of Fire. People in the Lake of Fire cannot have eternal Life as eternal Life saves us from hellfire. Each sinner will be allocated a time span in the Lake of Fire in accordance with their sins. The worse sinners will burn for longer. But once their time is up then they will be utterly consumed, both root and branch, until nothing is left.

Fire cannot obtain vengeance. Vengeance is the property of a Person's mind.

JUDE 1:8   … suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

DEUTERONOMY 4:24   For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

God is the consuming fire who takes eternal vengeance. Once He has passed a sentence of judgement on a sinner, that judgement is eternal and will never be withdrawn. Even though the sentence or time of punishment is not eternal.

MALACHI 4:2   But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

The name of God is Jesus. The “Sun of righteousness” describes the dazzling brightness of Jesus as His Word grows within people, who thereby grow spiritually strong. A male calf will end up as a bull, a tower of strength.

Our only light and strength comes from the Bible that we quote.

PSALM 103:20   Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Only when people listen to and obey His Word do they have an excellent strength that will last for eternity.

GENESIS 1:3   And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

:4   And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

The light of God’s Word is always good. Only when God speaks is there light. Darkness is simply the absence of light.

Darkness cannot be traced back to anything that God said. An unscriptural belief is always darkness.

A Scriptural belief is always light. There will always be a big division or difference of opinion between darkness (Hath God said? Doubt) and light (It is written. Definite).

The majority will prefer not to believe God’s Word and they would try to overwhelm the minority who chose to believe.

GENESIS 1:5   And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The darkness of night is a symbol of the Tribulation.

The first day had no mention of night. The evening time revelation of the mysteries of Scripture sees the Bride caught up to Heaven to the Wedding Supper.

ZECHARIAH 14:7   But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

They miss the night or darkness of the Tribulation. Then they return for the morning of the Millennium, the 1000 years of peace. That will be the first day that Jesus and His Bride will rule on earth.

II PETER 3:8   But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So, “the evening and the morning were the first day” actually tells us that the Bride will not go through the time of  Great Tribulation.

The three hours of darkness on the cross were to remind us that Jesus fought the demons of hell in darkness to pay for our sins so that we can be spared the darkness of great Tribulation.

But Satan will launch his biggest assault against the evening time light of revealed Scripture. It is a confusing time of church error, human opinions, and pagan traditions mixed up with some portions of Bible truth. Then there will be a flash of real light as the mysteries of Scripture are revealed by William Branham. His followers will then start to deify him as the Voice of God and thus also mix up this evening light with “clever” human ideas, as quotes and interpretations of quotes replace Scripture.

The Ephesian Church Age

I said that the True Church would always try to be like it was in the Book of Acts. That is exactly right. But we have discovered that the Word also teaches an invasion of error until there is a complete blackout of truth in the last day when the Lord is about to appear.

A complete blackout of truth means that the Message-churches have also been misled by their leaders.

The end-time struggle is between a small group who want to believe everything Scripturally just like the early church of the apostles did and the vast majority who flow with a flood of human opinions that try to sweep all away before themselves.

PHILIPPIANS 2:12   Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

We cannot work out our salvation from hell. But we must work out how to be saved from the Tribulation.

PROVERBS 7:9   In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:

The evening light is separated from the dark night as the evening-light-Bride escapes from great Tribulation nighttime darkness.

Taking communion in the darkness of nighttime reminds us of the Lord suffering on our behalf in order to spare us from the horrors of the darkness of great Tribulation.

Time:

Nighttime represents our need to escape from the darkness of sin and great Tribulation. That is why nighttime was part of the Passover and the communion. Communion is all about the sacrifice that Jesus made to get our sins forgiven.

Feet washing. The Gospel going to the Gentiles.

JOHN 13:1   Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

:2   And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

:3   Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

:4   He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

:5   After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

:6   Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

:7   Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Peter could not understand foot washing. Thus, it had nothing to do with humility. Peter could understand humility.

It also had nothing to do with hygiene and cleanliness. Washing the dust off a person’s feet before they trampled the dust into the rooms of the house. Peter could easily understand that.

:8   Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Peter now got everything wrong. Jesus must not wash His feet.

Jesus warns him of a deeper significance to this act. If his feet are not washed in water, then he has no part in God’s salvation plan.

:9   Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my  hands and my head.

Peter gets it even more wrong. He wants his hands and head washed as well.

:10   Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

Then a very strange statement. If a person’s feet are washed, then that person is totally clean.

Jesus is not speaking of physical cleanliness.

:11   For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

This is the clue. Jesus was speaking about being cleansed from sin.

So, what does the water represent because He used no soap?

EPHESIANS 5:26   That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Only when we do things in a Scriptural way are we washed clean from our sins.

What then is the emphasis on the feet that excludes the head and the hands? What was Jesus referring to?

What was Peter going to discover later that he did not know at the time?

Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar's dream to represent four Gentile kingdoms. The head represented the golden (or clever) pagan mysteries of the Babylonian Pontiff and priesthood, who were the successors of Nimrod, which began in Babylon.

Then they learned the ruthless efficiency of building a man-made organization from the first worldwide empire of the Medes and the Persians.

Greek philosophy would lay the foundation of very clever errors like the Trinity, the birth of the sun god in mid-winter, and fortune-telling based on "Your stars foretell". Alexander was the first western man to be worshiped as a god.

Then the Babylonian mysteries moved into the Roman world of brutal iron swords and greedy, grasping taxes. The first Roman dictator to become Pontiff was Julius Caesar who was worshiped as a god after his death.

Then the pagan Roman Empire, destroyed by the barbarians, was resurrected back to life on the ruins of the Roman Empire as the Roman Catholic Church. That is still where the Pontiff or Pope lives. Salvation was of the Jews and outside the Gentiles. At the cross, salvation crossed-over from the Jews to the Gentiles. The seven church ages saw the Gentile Bride represented by clay and the Roman Catholic Church represented by the bits of iron in the feet.

That is what feet washing represented. The Gentiles being washed by the revealed Word of each age over the 2000 years of church history.

GENESIS 3:14   And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

:15   And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The serpent was cursed and turned into a snake.

MATTHEW 16:23   But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan:

A snake coming up behind the Gentile image would bite the heel, which represented Calvary.

With a bruised heel, Christ could not walk for the three days that He was in the tomb. But then He rose from the dead.

This was just a temporary inconvenience.

But the serpent's head was damaged. Brain damage. Unable to think strictly Scripturally. So he will always deviate somewhere from Scripture. A head injury causes a pool of blood to form which grows in size until it pushes against the brain which will cause death. Satan and sin are ultimately doomed.

The only salvation open to the Gentiles was in the feet of the image.

Peter would later learn, in the house of Cornelius after seeing a vision three times, that Gentiles were going to come into the Kingdom. As a Jew, Peter despised Gentiles.

The head of the Babylonian kingdom had long ago been conquered and had disappeared. So had the two hands of the empire of the Medes and the Persians. They had been conquered by the Greeks. So washing hands and head was useless. It had no meaning, trying to deal with kingdoms that had been conquered long ago.

DANIEL 2:31   Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.

:32   This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,

:33   His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

But the clay was wet as it was miry clay. Clay that had been washed in water.
DANIEL 2:43   And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay,

:34   Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

The Coming of the Lord is not dependant on any man-made help. It does not depend on the Medes and Persians centralized organization that was essential for their worldwide kingdom. The Coming of the Lord does not depend on the centralized organization techniques that built up denominations and megachurches. The Lord is coming for individuals.

:35   Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

"Wind" is war and strife in the Great Tribulation.

The mountain is the Kingdom of peace that Jesus establishes on earth for 1000 years, after the battle of Armageddon.

Thus, feet washing has a much deeper meaning.

JOHN 13:12   So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

:13   Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

:14   If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

:15   For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Here Jesus tells us that we must follow His example.

:16   Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

:17   If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

If we know to do feet washing then we are happy as God has given us a deeper revelation.

And God requires feet washing from us.

Is Jesus your Lord?

Feet washing was done by the early church.

1 TIMOTHY 5:9   Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore [60] years old, having been the wife of one man,

:10   Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

In the Old Testament, the foot was also associated with redeeming

A man kicked off his shoe, which revealed his foot if he was prepared to redeem as a kinsman.

RUTH 4:7   Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.

:8   Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.

Boaz kicked off his shoe to redeem Ruth.

Boaz symbolized how Jesus kicked off His glory in Heaven to come down and redeem mankind. Born of a virgin, He was a Kinsman Redeemer.

1 CORINTHIANS 11:20   When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.

:21   For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

If some were getting drunk, then they were drinking wine not grape juice.

Christians should not drink wine because the stimulation of the revealed mysteries is our spiritual wine.

The one exception in the New Testament is the sip of wine at communion.

In the Old Testament, God told the Jews to make no graven images. The one exception was the two cherubims that faced each other across the mercy seat on top of the  Ark of the Covenant.

:22  What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

Communion was not supposed to be a meal. Jesus waited until the Passover supper was over. Only then did He introduce the communion.

People must eat supper at home. Then they partake of the communion which in reality is just a token piece of broken bread and a sip of wine.

JOHN 13:2  And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

JOHN 13:4   He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

:5   After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

Abraham took the bread and wine from Melchizadek only after he had won the battle.

Communion is for dedicated Christians who have a deep relationship with Jesus and have thus won the battle against sin and unbelief.

It is dangerous to partake of the communion if a person's life is not worthy of the Gospel.

1 CORINTHIANS 11:27   Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

:28   But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

:29   For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

:30   For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep [are dead].

Sequence.

I commune with my own heart  Psalm 77:6

Humans have conscious and subconscious regions of the mind that can communicate with each other. Think about when you argue with your conscience. It is as though your conscience has an alternate viewpoint.

Commune: to converse together on any topic of interest and value

Communion: act of communing, fellowship

Communicate: to impart information, to reveal, to convey

Communication: act of making known

“Communion”

Act of sharing, implying sympathy and confidence, interchange of thoughts, agreement, fellowship

GENESIS 18:17   And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

:18   Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

:19   For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

:20    And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

:21    I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

:22    And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

:23    And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

:24    Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

:32    And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

:33    And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

God has always desired to speak and commune with man. God's problem is finding somebody worthwhile whom He can speak to.

EXODUS 33:9    And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

:11    And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

NUMBERS 12:7    My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

:8    With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

The "Son of God" is the human manifestation of God. The human man's spirit and body.

The "Father" is the supernatural manifestation of God that dwells fully in the Son.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

JOHN 14:23    Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Jesus longs to dwell within repentant and holy human hearts.

2 CORINTHIANS 13:14    The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

PHILIPPIANS 2:1   If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

1 CORINTHIANS 10:16    The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

:17    For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

PSALMS 4:4   Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

PSALMS 77:6   I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

ECCLESIASTES 1:16   I communed with mine own heart,

2 CHRONICLES 9:1    And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

The queen of the South. A symbol of the true church or Bride. She left the comfort of her home and undertook a long and difficult journey up from Africa because of her desire to know more about God.

She had many difficult questions that she wanted to be answered. The questions, being difficult, indicated that she had a desire for deep truth. She had no casual or superficial interest in God's Word, it was an intense search for answers.

LUKE 6:12    And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Such was the intense desire for Jesus to communicate with the indwelling supernatural Spirit that He could pray all night when he was alone on the mountain, despite the physical discomfort.

His biggest longing was simply, as a man, to be in the Will of His supernatural Father.

LUKE 22:3   Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

:4    And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

Sadly, the human heart readily welcomes the Devil with his unscriptural ideas. Then we commune with make-believers when we see a chance for personal gain. We prefer self-will to rule in our hearts rather than Jesus Who guides us into God's Will.

A Bible year is 360 days

ISAIAH 59:1   Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

:2    But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Iniquity is knowing something is wrong but doing it anyway. God hides His face from us when we do that, until we repent and are once again washed clean by faith in His cleansing Blood.

REVELATION 1:5  Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Enoch walked with God for 365 years and communed with God.

GENESIS 5:23   And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

He never died and ascended up to Paradise.

GENESIS 5:24   And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

As a memorial to Enoch's long life of communion with God, God changed the length of the year after the Flood.

A Bible year is 360 days.

The year used to be 360 days but now it is 365 days.

GENESIS 7:11   In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

GENESIS 8:4   And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

From the 17th day of the 2nd month to the 17th day of the 7th month is exactly 5 months
GENESIS 7:24   And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

If 5 months equals 150 days, then each month is 30 days.

A year of 12 months will be 360 days.

This can be confirmed in the Book of Revelation.

REVELATION 11:2   But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

:3   And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

If 42 months is 1260 days then each month is  1260/42 = 30 days.

One Bible year = 12 x 30 = 360 days.
