After 2300 Days the Sanctuary was cleansed

God's covenant with Abram's seed. From Isaac's birth, the natural seed, to the death of Jesus, the spiritual Seed.

From the natural seed Isaac to the spiritual Seed Jesus

Abraham had a natural promised son Isaac and a spiritual Son Jesus.

It was 2300 Bible years from the birth of Isaac to the death of Jesus.

DANIEL 8:14   And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

The first verse of the New Testament has Jesus as the spiritual Son of Abraham.

MATTHEW 1:1   The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

The sanctuary was cleansed in AD 33 when Jesus Christ the spiritual promised Son of Abraham died at Calvary and then rose from the dead. Only the Blood of Jesus can cleanse from sin.

This prophecy starts with the birth of Isaac, the natural promised son of Abraham.

God made a covenant with Abraham that applied to his seed.

God confirmed that covenant in the death of Christ.

GENESIS 15:18   In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Three further generations were in the loins of Abraham.

Speaking about Abraham's great grandson Levi, Paul says:

HEBREWS 7:10     For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Thus the covenant that was made applied directly to Isaac, Jacob, and the 12 sons of Jacob who formed the 12 tribes of Israel.

But this was for a natural Jewish nation in a natural Promised Land of Israel.

Then the covenant would be confirmed at a deeper spiritual level by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, the spiritual Son of Abraham.

Then the covenant, which was God’s promise, would apply to the whole world.

GALATIANS 3:17   And this I say, that

the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ,

the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Sin started in Heaven which also needs cleansing

Dealing with sin at the beginning was a complex problem for God as not just Eden but all nature, and mankind were wrecked by sin.

In addition, Heaven also needed cleansing as Satan had started his awful, slimy trail there when he was the top angel Lucifer.  That was before being cursed and turned into the Devil, who is the top demon.

No blood was shed in Heaven, so there is no salvation for those fallen angels who were fooled by Lucifer. They were simply turned into demons or sinful spirits.

Fallen angels are sinful spirits. Because there is no salvation for these fallen sinful spirits, there is no salvation for sinful human spirits once the spirit, then called a ghost, has left the body in death. Thus we have to get saved while we are still alive.

The complexity of original sin saw Eve being condemned for being pregnant and bringing forth life that would have to die.

GENESIS 3:16   Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;

This pregnancy never came from her husband as that would not have been a sin.

The serpent was the cleverest or top beast (what we call a mammal). He was not a snake (a creeping thing) but the so-called “missing link” between ape and man. He could speak and reason with Eve. Nowhere in the Bible does the Devil ever make a dumb animal speak.

GENESIS 3:1   Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

So the top animal, inspired by the top demon (Satan) introduced sin on earth.

That is why ambition is dangerous.  Satan uses the top people. Like Judas, an apostle, and Herod who was a king. Pontius Pilate was a governor. Religion, politics, and money combined in a toxic brew when they killed Jesus.

GENESIS 3:14   And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

God treated the serpent in much the same way He had treated Lucifer. God cursed the serpent and turned him into a lower-life species, a creeping reptile.

There was a total change in the bone structure. That is why scientists cannot find the so-called missing link. The serpent simply ceased to exist when cursed and turned into a snake.

A snake has a forked tongue (symbolic of corrupting truth with lies) and poison in its mouth which symbolizes the spiritual death that comes from false doctrines that are preached.

The serpent said to Eve, “Your eyes will be opened”.  God thus gave the snake no eyelids when the serpent was cursed. A snake’s eyes are permanently open, but protected by a transparent scale.

Crawling on his belly. The belly is a symbol of our carnal physical needs. Eve’s belly would swell in her pregnancy. The belly button is the mark of the beast on our bodies. It means we have to die. God never made Adam and Eve with a scar on their stomachs. Too many modern-day preachers are concerned with their meal ticket on the gravy train, not the truth of Scripture. Money becomes the downfall of many preachers just like it was the downfall of the apostle Judas.

The scary part is “eating dust”. This is symbolic, not literal, as snakes eat frogs and mice. Humans are made of dust. So if we die unsaved then we are “snake food” as the snake’s long body represents the pit of hell that we slide down into.

The earth was condemned and cursed to make Adam sweat to earn a living.

Adam came from the dust. So God cursed the dust that he came from. The same dust that the serpent symbolically ate. So mankind was condemned to hell unless God intervened.

GENESIS 3:17   And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:

cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

GENESIS 3:19  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

We must work hard until we sweat. Idleness is a major curse for sinful people.

EZEKIEL 16:49   Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom,

pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness

was in her and in her daughters, ...

Adam’s body was made from the dust.

So it would be necessary to redeem the earth from where the dust came as well as redeeming the people who are made from the dust.

ROMANS 8:22   For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

So God set up a plan to save mankind that included redeeming the earth as well as cleansing Heaven.

After the Fall of Adam, the first major role player in God’s plan was Noah who survived the Flood that wiped out all land life about 1656 Bible years after Adam sinned. It took only five chapters of Genesis to get from the creation to the Flood. Then the next four chapters deal with Noah.

Note. A Bible year is 360 days as each month has 30 days.

GENESIS 7:11   In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

GENESIS 8:4   And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

From the 17 /2 to the 17 / 7 is exactly 5 months.

This is recorded as 150 days.

In other words, each month is 30 days.

GENESIS 7:24   And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

360 days was the length of a year before the Flood.

The Ark was on the water for about a year. During the Flood, the world moved slightly out of its orbit away from the sun into the intense cold of outer space. The poles froze over to produce the ice caps. This was the last ice age. There is ten times more ice on the south pole than on the north pole. This created a wobble on the spinning earth as it slowly came back to its slightly-longer-than-before orbit which then took 365.2422 days to complete a year.

Our 365 day year is a testimony to the 365 years that Enoch lived godly on earth before God caught him up to Heaven, symbolizing the church being caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

GENESIS 5:23   And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

:24   And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Daniel saw a vision of four beasts representing four Gentile kingdoms.

Daniel’s fourth beast in his vision was a monster representing pagan Rome that was “diverse from the other three kingdoms” because it turned into the papal Rome of the Roman Catholic church, the mother of denominational religion or Churchianity. People belong to the church rather than to Christ. People believe the preachers who find faults in the Bible.

People believe what the church says, not what the Bible says.

Denominational Christianity has broken the church world into 45000 different kinds of churches and trampled the people until they, like slaves, obey their church leaders rather than the Bible.

DANIEL 7:23   Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

DANIEL 7:25   And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws …

"Change times".  Daniel saw that Rome was going to change the calendar.

The Pope calls himself “Vicarius Christi” claiming to stand “in the place of Christ”. These are great words whereby he exalts himself.

In 1302 the Pope claimed that there was no salvation outside the Catholic church. This salvation required everyone to be in submission to the Pope. These are great words that exalt the Pope and the Roman Catholic church as the source of salvation. This is against the Word of God as only Jesus can save.

Tens of millions of Christians who disagreed were killed in the Dark Ages and the counter-Reformation that followed Martin Luther’s Reformation in the 1500s.

69 of our Roman Gentile years equals 70 Bible years

“Change times”. It was Romans who changed the calendar.

In 46 BC the Roman dictator Julius Caesar changed the calendar year to 365.25 days by adding 90 days to the year in 45 BC so that the calendar date matched the season of Nature. This was only slightly inaccurate. The true length of a year is 365.2422 days. But almost 1600 years later the calendar would become 10 days out of tune with the spring equinox.

This was the specific day when day and night were both exactly 12 hours each.

In 1582 the Roman Pope Gregory 13 changed the calendar year to 365.2425 days. The difference with the true year was then almost negligible

Thus God left it to the Roman beast (both the pagan Roman empire and the Roman Catholic church that rose up on the ruins of the Roman empire) to change the times on the calendar year. This was necessary so that the months can better match the seasons of the earth.

This was Satan's resurrection of the beast power.

In AD 476 the Roman empire received a deadly wound from the barbarian armies. The Capitol hill, one of the original seven hills of Rome, had the Temple of Jupiter on it which was the centre of government and religion. The barbarians abandoned this Temple which lost its power and authority. But the Roman Catholic church with its headquarters at the Lateran Palace and Basilica (big church) on the Caelian Hill rose up to replace the pagan Roman power. The Caelian hill was also one of the original seven hills. The Pope replaced the broken power of the  Roman Caesar.

Let us get back to the length of a Bible year which is made up of 12 thirty-day months which equals  360 days.

Referring to the three and a half years of great Tribulation at the end, it is called 1260 days or 42 months.

REVELATION 11:2   But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

:2   And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

A score is 20 days. So this is 1260 days.

1260 / 42 = 30 days to a month in the Bible calendar.

Thus every 69 years our modern Roman Gentile year of about 365.24 days has almost the same length as 70 Jewish years that have 360 days.

An extra 5.24 days in a year multiplied by 69 years gives us

5.24 x 69 = 361 days extra which is one extra Bible year (less than half a percent error which will not really affect the calculations).

So 69  of our longer Roman Gentile years gives us 70 Bible years.

We must remember to subtract these extra Bible (or Jewish) years if we want to fit the Bible years into our modern Gentile or Roman calendar.

The time from the Fall to the Flood was 1656 Bible years.

1656/70 = 24

So in 1656 Bible years there are 24 fewer modern years.

Thus 1656 – 24 = 1632 of our Gentile years.

So the Flood happened about 1632 of our modern Gentile years after the Fall.

God made a covenant with Noah and with the earth. The symbol was the rainbow. Seven dominant colours all overlapping each other.

GENESIS 9:13   I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

This was a sign that water (which represents doctrine and masses of people) would never flood and destroy the earth again.

This rainbow, spiritually, looked ahead to the seven church ages.

Each church age represented a colour of the rainbow.

All the 7 colours unite to give white light.

The seven church ages combine to give the true Word of God.

Satan would always have the majority of people who are unbelievers and make-believers, as an unbelieving host.  They would try to drown out the truth for each age with their flood of wrong doctrines. Error is always believed by the overwhelming host or majority of people. But somehow, thanks to the help of the messenger to each age, God would nevertheless guide His true church through the turbulent circumstances of each specific church age.

God would not allow the masses, with their error, to destroy the faith of the few who chose to believe.

In Noah's day, it was 8 believers versus the millions who lived on earth. A real unbelieving host.

ISAIAH 59:19   When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

The rainbow is God’s promise that there will be believers from each church age who will not bow down to the drowning floods of unbelief.

God’s first step towards redeeming the earth was to cover the earth in water during Noah’s Flood.

This was symbolic of water baptism. Believers, like handfuls of earth, also have to be covered in water during baptism.

Then the second step to redeem the earth was blood.

About 2600 Gentile or Roman years after the Flood, the Jews hated Jesus so much that they took Him outside the city to crucify Him on Calvary. That way His Blood dripped onto the earth to redeem it.

Anything that touches the blood of Jesus will be redeemed.

Only the Blood of Jesus could remove the stain of sin from man, earth, and Heaven.

Calvary was the fundamental time when salvation was achieved. This was the date prophesied to end the 2300 day prophecy (a day can represent a year in Scripture).

Laban said to Jacob when Jacob asked for Rachel as his wife.

GENESIS 29:27   Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

Almost 2000 years have passed since Calvary as we approach the 3.5 years of great Tribulation where there will be fiery nuclear blasts and volcanic eruptions that will purge the earth with fire.

Water, Blood, and Fire.

After that three-fold process, the earth will be a suitable home for the 1000 year reign of Jesus and His Bride, the true church.

That was God’s plan with the earth.

Then when the Flood was over, God wanted to make a new covenant with some man and his descendants.

After the Flood, evil was concentrated under Nimrod at the tower of Babel. This is where the city of Babylon would be built later. From there idols, demonology, false doctrines, and polytheism (many gods) spread around the world as Nimrod conquered his neighbours to form the first human kingdom

GENESIS 10:9   He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

People even gave preference to what Nimrod said before what God said. The basic error of denominations is to listen to the words of man rather than the Word of God.

GENESIS 10:10   And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar…

People in a kingdom have to obey their leader.

People were told what to think and do. Their thinking was constrained by the leader.

They could not think for themselves. They were not allowed to think outside of what the leader knew.

They were limited by the leader's limits.

Ambitious religious human leadership spreads and demands submission from everyone.

People see what they limit themselves to see.

They force what they observe to fit into what they have defined.

They believe that anyone who is outside their religious system is automatically wrong.

Human religious leaders focus on building up their own kingdoms instead of the kingdom of Heaven.

So God then called out His next major role player, Abraham, who was born about 290 years after the Flood. Evil had its headquarters established between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. They happily worshiped many gods, as did the Egyptians.

Abraham moved from Ur to Haran under the influence of his father Terah. When Terah died, then God could deal with Abraham (then called Abram) personally and called him out, at the age of 75. Thus he and his seed could be given the Promised Land which was the area around today’s Jerusalem. Jerusalem had not yet been built in Abraham’s day. The green arrow in the above map indicates some of Abraham’s movements when God called him out of the area dominated by idolatry and pagan beliefs.

To redeem Abraham’s descendants,  God made a new covenant with Abraham and his seed.

This natural covenant was made for the Promised Land of Israel to be given to Abraham’s natural seed (plural), his sons and descendants, who are the Jews who could believe God’s promises.

But the covenant needed also to be confirmed by Jesus Christ, the spiritual Seed (singular) of Abraham,  at a much deeper spiritual level. Jesus was to be the promised Messiah.

GENESIS 12:7    And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.

Abraham’s seed, his future son,  would inherit the promise.

GENESIS 17:7   And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

GENESIS 17:21   But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

GENESIS 21:5   And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

Establishing the covenant would require Abraham (as the father) to have a promised son Isaac who could be offered up as a sacrifice.

Abraham believed that if he killed Isaac, God would raise Isaac from the dead. However, God spared Isaac.

But this was really fulfilled by the spiritual Son of Abraham Who was Jesus. He did die and then resurrected from the dead.

The covenant could only be confirmed by the spiritual Son of Abraham, Jesus.

So how long was this after the birth of Abraham’s promised natural son, Isaac?

There could be no nation of Israel until Abraham had produced a natural son, Isaac.

There could be no Gentile church world-wide until the nation of Israel produced Abraham’s spiritual Son, their Messiah.

So what is the length of time that God dealt with the Jewish nation from the birth of the promised son Isaac to the cross?

The sanctuary was cleansed at Calvary by the shed Blood of Jesus Christ.

The promise of Messiah, the spiritual Son of Abraham, was linked to when God promised Abraham a natural son Isaac.

From the birth of the promised son Isaac to the death of Jesus would be 2300 Bible years.

Abraham was blessed in the birth of his natural son Isaac.

The whole world would be blessed in the death of his spiritual Son, Jesus.

The spiritual covenant of Jesus would magnify the natural covenant of Abraham who was given the Promised Land for the Jews to live in. Confirming Abraham’s covenant at a deeper level would open the door to all the born-again Gentiles across the whole world if they could believe in the Promise of the Holy Spirit that would guide them into all the Truth of God’s Word.

The Word, or Bible, would be the Land of the Christians. They would live and believe in the way that the Bible required of them.

Their Promise would be the Holy Spirit that revealed the Bible to them, for their specific age and circumstances.

ACTS 2:38   Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

:39     For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,

even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

God’s promise was to send the Holy Spirit.

JOHN 16:13     Howbeit when he,

the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

The Holy Spirit is the Promise.

He guides us into the full truth of the Bible which is the spiritual Land that our thoughts and faith believe and dwell in.

The natural symbols  of the covenant made with Abraham all represented much deeper spiritual realities that would be performed by Jesus when He confirmed this covenant to make it apply to the Gentile church.

GENESIS 15:18   In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram,

saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

This is how the Promised Land will look in the Millennium, the 1000 years of peace when Jesus is King and the Jews who survive great Tribulation will rule the earth.

The Euphrates was the boundary of the later kingdom of Babylon. This was to be the source of the mysteries of Babylon that would move through the Persian and Greek empires until they ended up in the pagan Roman empire and then infiltrated the Roman Catholic church.

Babylon thus became the symbol of man-made denominational religion. Egypt, also the home of pagan sun god worship, is the symbol of worldliness. God wanted a Promised Land for the Jews that avoided worldliness, and man-made religious beliefs. Then much later God wanted a church that would avoid worldliness, and man-made denominational beliefs

God made a covenant with Abram and his seed

The natural covenant between God and Abraham involved, as symbols, three beasts that were cut in half.  The two halves of each beast were laid next to each other. These natural beasts would symbolize much deeper events. Events that could only be fulfilled in the death of Christ at Calvary.

GENESIS 15:18   In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram,

GENESIS 15:9   And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

The ram represented the coming of the Lord Jesus.

Abraham was about to kill Isaac when God stopped him and provided a ram to die in the place of Isaac.

GENESIS 22:13   And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

The ram could not escape. It was caught by the horns and had to die for Isaac, a single Jew.  So the son of Abraham was saved.

Jesus, the spiritual Son of Abraham, was far greater.  He gave up His life to save others. He never tried to save Himself.

Jesus, like the ram, could not escape. He was nailed to the cross and had to die in the place of all the millions of repentant sinners, who are mainly Gentiles.

So when Jesus confirmed the covenant, the effectiveness of the covenant was greatly magnified.

GALATIANS 3:16   Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

:17     And this I say,

that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ,

the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Christianity is the only religion that is based on the pattern or outline of a previous religion, the Jewish Law. Then the symbols of the Jewish Law are magnified to reveal a far deeper insight.

ISAIAH 42:21   The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Isaac, the Jew, gloried in the fact that he lived.

We Gentiles, glory in the fact that Jesus died for us. So we have a better covenant.

The second symbol was a goat. The burden bearer who carried our burden of sins far away.

Two goats were chosen by the Jews. One goat was killed for the sins of the Jews and the other scapegoat carried the sins of the Jews far away.

Abraham could only provide half of this, the goat that died. The natural covenant with Abraham was thus good, but incomplete.

Jesus would do a complete work when He fulfilled the covenant.

Jesus had two tasks to fulfill. He would have to die as He took on our sins like the first goat had to die.  Then His great Holy Spirit, released from His Body in death, would carry all our sins far away down to hell and dump them on the Devil who is the father of sin. Now Satan must answer for them.

So only Jesus could both die for our sins and also carry our sins far away. He is the ultimate Scapegoat.

LEVITICUS 16:8   And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

“Cast lots” means they had to choose which goat died. The Jews had to choose between Jesus and the murderer Barabbas as to who should die.

LEVITICUS 16:9   And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.

LEVITICUS 16:10   But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

The second goat lived and had to go away into the wilderness. Symbolic of the Holy Spirit carrying our sins away.

The Holy Spirit did not die at Calvary. Death is the separation of the spirit from the body. So when Jesus died, the Holy Spirit that was within Him left His Body to go and deal with Satan down in hell.

A red heifer, a clean sacrifice, was burnt and the ashes put into water as the water of separation to separate people from their sin.

NUMBERS 19:2     This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

A yoke forces the animal to obey men. This heifer had never been forced to obey men. You and I should never be forced to obey church traditions.

NUMBERS 19:3   And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:

Jesus was killed at Calvary, which was outside the city of Jerusalem. Caiaphas the high priest had condemned Him falsely so that another one, Pontius Pilate, would kill Jesus in the sight of Caiaphas.

NUMBERS 19:4    And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:

Seven times represent the seven church ages where the Blood of Jesus would be sprinkled over the world as missionaries and people took the Gospel around the world.

NUMBERS 19:5   And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:

Burning. Jesus walked over the fires of hell to gain our salvation and conquer Satan, Death, Hell, and the Grave.

REVELATION 1:15    And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace;

There were three extras that also had to burn.

NUMBERS 19:6   And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

Cedar is a red wood, symbolizing the cross. The burning agony of Jesus.

Hyssop is a common weed, a small bush.  It was found everywhere. This symbolizes faith. We all have faith that our food and drink is not poisoned. We have faith that other motorists will stay on their side of the road. Faith is common. We just have to learn to apply it to God and His Bible. The Jews used hyssop to put the blood of the Passover lamb on their vertical wooden door posts and the horizontal top wooden lintel of the door.  These symbolized the cross as the door to Heaven.

EXODUS 12:22   And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason;

Simple, common faith takes the Blood of Jesus from the cross and applies it to our hearts to cleanse us from sin.

Scarlet is the colour of the Blood that saves us from sin. Rahab hung a scarlet cord from her window on the wall of Jericho. That saved her and her family as her part of the wall was the only bit that did not collapse.

JOSHUA 2:18   Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by:

The Scripture is water that acts as a barrier to keep sin separated away from us.

NUMBERS 19:9   And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.

Only obedience to the Word of God can wash us and separate us from sin. Ash cannot decompose or change with time. God’s Word saves us today, the same as it did back in the early church. The Word never changes, nor decomposes, nor loses its power.

EPHESIANS 5:26   That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

The Word is eternal and it acts to separate us from sin and unbelief.

So Abraham took the three animals, which symbolized what Christ had to do, and cut them in half. Laying the two halves facing each other.

At Calvary, God was going to tear Christ in half.

Tear the Holy Spirit out of His Body and send the Spirit down to hell and the Body to a grave.

Resurrect that Body out of the grave and take the physical Body up to the throne of God in Heaven. Then send the Holy Spirit of Christ back down to Earth to live in the church.

The great Holy Spirit would make the church down on earth live and believe just like Christ Who is up in Heaven.

God in two  “halves”.

God dwelling in the sacrificial Body of Christ on the throne of mercy in Heaven.

And the same God dwelling in the hearts of men and women down on earth.

The covenant involved 3 beasts that were 3 years old

GENESIS 15:18   In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram,

GENESIS 15:9   And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

Why were three beasts cut in half for the covenant?

This places an emphasis on the number three.

God sees the earth as three races, Jew, Samaritan (part Jew and part Gentile), and Gentile.

Christ won mankind’s salvation when He conquered death by His resurrection on the third day.

The Gentile church, when the truth was almost wiped out in the Dark Ages, would resurrect spiritually in the last three church ages.

Luther’s Justification in the fifth church age of the Reformation. Getting saved by faith and not by works.

Wesley’s holiness and outreach led to the great missionary movement of the sixth church age.

The Pentecostal power and the revealing of the sealed Bible mysteries in the seventh and last church age so that the true church can go back to the original Bible beliefs of the first church age of the apostles.

Three life-giving substances came from Jesus on the cross. Water, Blood, and Spirit.

The water of the Word, the Blood of Jesus, and the power and revelation of the Holy Spirit will resurrect the true Bride out of sin and unbelief.

God is Father (above the Jews), Son (with the Jews as Emmanuel), and Holy Spirit (as He dwells in the hearts of born again believers).

GENESIS 15:10   And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another:

but the birds divided he not.

The birds represented the faith for salvation and healing which cannot be separated. If God makes a covenant to save people, then God will also use that same covenant to heal people.

GENESIS 15:11   And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.

As evening approached, fowls or vultures came down to eat the carcases.

The prophet Abraham chased them away. His covenant was not for fowls or vultures. This symbolized the end time. The evening time.

MATTHEW 24:27   For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

The light of the Gospel started from Palestine in the first church age and then got lost in the Dark Ages.

The Gospel Light began to recover in the Reformation of the 1500s as Martin Luther in Germany restored Justification. Getting saved by faith.

The Light moved on to England as John Wesley restored holiness and outreach which led to the missionary age.

The Pentecostal gifts began in the Welsh Revival of 1904 in England and spread to Azusa street in Los Angeles in America in 1906. William Branham in 1963 in America revealed the sealed-up mysteries of written Scripture to enable the end-time eagles to return to the beliefs of the first church age.

MATTHEW 24:28   For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

The freshly slain meat of the newly revealed seven Seals mysteries only attracts eagles. It repels fowls and vultures.

The teachings of this end-time Gentile prophet chase away all unscriptural denominational beliefs. He only appeals to those who want to be strictly Scriptural just like the early New Testament church was.

Only a spiritual eagle has the piercing eyesight or insight to understand the Bible mysteries.

The spiritual fowls or vultures give up and say that the puzzling Bible verses are irrelevant details, or wrongly translated, or contradictory, or too difficult to understand, or just mistakes in the Bible so that they can simply ignore or change those verses.

“We must know”,  say the Bride as they puzzle over Bible mysteries that should be revealed at the end.

“Must we know?” say the foolish virgins. Lazy and complacent when it comes to difficulties in the Bible.

GENESIS 3:1   "Yea. Hath God said?"

This was the serpent's introduction as he cast doubt on God's Word right from the beginning.

Most church-goers agree with this sentiment.

HABAKKUK 2:3   For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak,

and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

But at the end-time, the mystery of the Word of God should be finished as our understanding grows.

Abraham was fast asleep when the covenant was made

This signified that we cannot be saved by our works.

God’s covenant with Abraham began by putting Abraham to sleep.

There was no part for him to play. The covenant did not depend on his works.

GENESIS 15:12   And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

The sun going down symbolizes evening time,  the end of the seventh and last church age.

Abraham fell into a deep sleep.

This has two meanings. The first meaning is that he would play no further part in the covenant that God was going to make. God needs no human help.

There were no good works that Abraham could do to make a covenant with God.

He had killed the animals as a sacrifice but the sacrificed animals all pointed to what Christ would do.

The deep sleep also symbolizes death, the final fate of a sinner.

Then the horrible darkness of sin and unbelief. Falling down into a dark and bottomless pit.

There is no light when people move outside the Bible.

PSALM 119:105   NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Then God proceeded with His covenant.

GENESIS 15:17   And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

Smoke. Where there is smoke there is fire. A furnace is a very hot fire. Hellfire. The final disastrous ending of an unbeliever’s life.

But now we get to the heart of God’s covenant.

A light passed between the two halves of each of the sacrifices.

This light alone could win redemption from the blackness of sin and unbelief.

JOHN 8:12   Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:

Jesus is the Light of the world.

This lamp represented the Spirit of Christ. Jesus would die between the two halves of the Bible, the New Testament, and the Old Testament.

His Spirit would go down to hell carrying our sins. He would walk across that fiery furnace to dump our sins onto the Devil.

Christ is seen with the white woolen wig of the Supreme Judge. His hatred of sin burns like fire in His eyes.  The Judge's woolen wig that He wears is white as snow. The Judge expects perfect sinlessness from us.

REVELATION 1:14   His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

Thus we cannot save ourselves. Even our good deeds are not clean in God’s sight.

ISAIAH 64:6    But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;

Then His feet are represented by brass that had walked across a raging furnace.

REVELATION 1:15  And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace;

We cannot understand the awful price that Christ had to pay to redeem us from sin.

Jesus alone could stand the heat.

The grapes of God’s wrath against sin could only be trampled by Jesus.

ISAIAH 63:3  I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me:

But Jesus defeated the Devil down in hell and stripped the Devil of the keys of death and hell.

I CORINTHIANS 2:8   Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Satan’s biggest mistake was to kill Jesus.

A ghost is the spirit of a dead person.

GENESIS 25:8   Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died.

Only the ghosts of dead sinners can go down to hell. The Holy Spirit of the living Christ could not go down to hell. But when Christ died the Spirit of God left his Body and qualified as a Ghost, the Holy Ghost, because His dead Body was hanging on the cross. In addition, Jesus had accepted our sins on Himself, so the Holy Ghost could enter hell as He carried our sins.

Then the Holy Ghost dumped our sins on Satan as Jesus had paid the price for sin on the cross. Satan got the hiding of his miserable life and lost the keys of death and hell in the process.

REVELATION 1:18   I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Jesus died and conquered Satan, Death, Hell, and the Grave and resurrected back up to everlasting life.

Calvary had all been previewed in the life of Isaac

GENESIS 22:1   And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

:2   And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Abraham as the father had to offer up Isaac as the son.

As they journeyed to Mount Moriah where the Temple would one day stand, Abraham told the young men that were with him to wait at a certain spot.

GENESIS 22:5   And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship,

and come again to you.

Abraham knew he was going to kill Isaac. Yet he said that Isaac would return with him. Thus Abraham had complete faith that God would resurrect his promised son.

GENESIS 22:6And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

Isaac as the natural son of Abraham carried the wood.

Jesus as the spiritual Son of Abraham carried the cross.

But Isaac could not die for anyone's sin. So the death of Isaac was not important. Thus God did not require Isaac's death.

So the birth of Isaac was where the prophecy of the 2300 days started.

The birth of Isaac brought laughter and joy to Sarah.

The natural covenant with Abraham and Isaac gave the Jews a Promised Land.

But the death of Jesus on the cross confirmed the natural covenant in a deep spiritual manner to make Jesus the actual promised Seed or Son of Abraham, in a spiritual sense.

Then Jesus fulfilled the requirements of death and resurrection, which He alone could do. His death brought joy and gladness to millions.

So the death of Jesus is where the prophecy ended.

GENESIS 15:18   In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

God first made a natural covenant with Abraham for a small piece of the earth. The land of Israel is less than one percent of the earth’s land surface.

Then God was going to confirm this covenant in Christ. The covenant would be magnified to redeem the earth with the Blood of Jesus and then include the Gentiles across all the world as born-again saints. However, Babylon’s denominational beliefs and Egypt’s worldliness must not be in God’s church.

GENESIS 15:13    And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

The covenant comes with the price of much rejection

But the covenant would come with a price. There would be much suffering. Much error to be overcome.

Much rejection and persecution.

The church would later accept the denominational idea of man-made beliefs and customs. As a result, we now have 45000 different kinds of denominational and non-denominational beliefs. There are over 100 different translations of the English Bible. Trying to find truth in the modern church world is thus a real mental affliction. Church-goers have so many different opinions, prejudices, and beliefs.

REVELATION 18:4   And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,

Come out of her, my people,

that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Individuals must seek for God’s truth in the Bible as it will not be found in the church systems.

Explaining one verse in the Bible by linking it to many other verses in the Bible is the only way to establish the meaning of a verse.

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus confirmed the Old Testament covenant and heralded the beginning of the New Testament covenant.

JEREMIAH 31:31   Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

:32     Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

:33   But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts;

and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The Flood in the days of Noah was the first major event after the Fall of Adam.

But Noah who was perfect before the Flood was the first man to sin, by getting drunk, after the Flood.

GENESIS 6:9   These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

This was before the Flood.

GENESIS 9:20   And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

:21     And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

This was after the Flood.

So God began to prepare a better plan in order to redeem people.

God chose Abraham and made an Old Testament covenant with him and his seed.

The New Testament starts by linking Abraham to Jesus.

MATTHEW 1:1   The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

So Abraham played a key role in order to be linked to Jesus.

A special dispensation would exist that stretched from the birth of Isaac, the promised son of Abraham, to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Who is the promised spiritual Son of Abraham.

(That is why God never asked us to celebrate the birth of Jesus).

This time period is covered by the 2300 days of Daniel’s prophecy.

Jesus defended the doctrine of the resurrection from the dead by referring back to Abraham.

MATTHEW 22:31    But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

:32     I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Abraham was heavily involved in believing in the resurrection. That is why he was prepared to offer up Isaac his son. He knew that God would resurrect  Isaac up from the dead as God had promised that his seed (or son) would inherit the Promised Land.

The first time that God created an adult human body for Himself and came down to speak to a man, also involved Abraham.

HEBREWS 7:1   For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

:2     To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

:3     Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

God created a temporary body for Himself out of dust and called Himself Melchizadek. He then came to meet Abraham. Once Melchizadek had finished with Abraham, His Body just went back to dust again.

Melchizadek was not born as a Baby and He did not die and shed His Blood for our sins. There were also no prophesies concerning His ministry on earth. Other than that, because Melchizadek was God in a Body of flesh,  He was just like the Son of God, Jesus.

God made a covenant with Abraham and his Jewish natural seed or descendants.

As Melchizadek, God was the first Person Who could be both Priest and King.

Nobody else was ever allowed to hold both these offices as that would be too much power for one person. Power corrupts.

Then as Jesus, God would be born as a Baby in the flesh and grow up to be a Man. Jesus was the first Person since Melchizadek Who was capable of being both King and High Priest.

Thus an even better covenant would be confirmed in Christ, the spiritual Seed of Abraham.

Cleansing or remission from sin can only occur when blood is shed.

HEBREWS 9:22   And almost all things are by the law purged with blood;

and without shedding of blood is no remission.

The sanctuary in heaven also had to be cleansed as Satan was an angel in Heaven when he sinned.

HEBREWS 9:23   It was therefore necessary that the

patterns of things in the heavens should be purified

with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

The tabernacle and Temple were patterns of what is in Heaven. These had to be cleansed with animal blood. But then the actual sanctuary in Heaven had to be cleansed with the Blood of Jesus.

HEBREWS 9:24    For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

HEBREWS 9:11   But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come,

by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands,

that is to say, not of this building;

This is God’s heavenly sanctuary. Which was cleansed by the Blood of Christ.

HEBREWS 9:12   Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The Blood of Jesus had to be taken up to the heavenly Sanctuary to cleanse it from any footprint of sin that Lucifer may have left there.

The Blood of Jesus on the mercy seat in Heaven is our only way of being forgiven of sin.

54-0515  QUESTIONS  AND  ANSWERS

After the ascension, after Jesus Christ,

the crucifixion, the cleansing of the sanctuary,

64-0629  THE  MIGHTY  GOD  UNVEILED  BEFORE  US

Now, when the veil was rent at Calvary, the mercy seat came into plain view. But what happened? It was hanging on Calvary, dripping in Blood. As they had took blood, year after year,

at the cleansing of the sanctuary

and the sprinkling of the mercy seat, there, God, with His great mighty stroke of lightning power, split the old badger veil from top to bottom, and the mercy seat came into plain view.

The real, genuine Lamb of God was hanging in plain view on Calvary,

the real Mercy Seat,

when God had paid the price, Himself; and become one of us, and had manifested Himself as a Man, to get acquainted with us, and we to be acquainted with Him. The Mercy Seat was in plain view of all Israel on that day of the Atonement.

61-0618  REVELATION  CHAPTER  FIVE.2

… from the beginning of the first day of the cleansing of the sanctuary, or Christ went to Calvary,

there was forty days unto the ascension.

DANIEL 8:14   And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days;

then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Abraham’s faith was based on the resurrection.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph all insisted on being buried in the Promised Land. They knew that a resurrection would occur there. The Old Testament saints were all resurrected just after Jesus was resurrected.

MATTHEW 27:50   Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

:51     And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

:52     And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

:53   And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Thus Jesus raised up the Old Testament saints after His own resurrection.

Knowing that there would be a resurrection in the Promised Land, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph all wanted to be buried there.

Jacob ordered his children to bury him in the Promised Land where Abraham and Isaac were buried.

GENESIS 49:29   And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

:30   In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.

:31  There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.

Joseph speaks to Pharaoh.

GENESIS 50:5     My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again.

GENESIS 50:13   For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.

GENESIS 50:24   And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

:25   And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.

EXODUS 13:19   And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.

JOSHUA 24:32   And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.

Paul now points out that "seed" is a singular word and as such the covenant really applies to Jesus.

God made a covenant with Abraham and confirmed the covenant in Christ when Jesus conquered sin, cleansed the heavenly sanctuary with His blood, and resurrected up the Old Testament saints.

God made a covenant with Abraham and the three generations who were in his loins. Isaac, Jacob, and the 12 sons of Jacob. Judah was the kingly line and Levi was the priestly line from whom came the high priest line of Aaron. No one man could have both kingly and priestly power. Power corrupts.

HEBREWS 7:9   And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

Levi was the great grandson of Abraham.

Abraham as a man carried the next three generations in his loins.

The only Person Who could be Priest and King was Jesus. He made the Aaronic high priesthood obsolete by making a new covenant of the order of Melchizadek. He was born King from the tribe of Judah.

Mechizadek was God. But God created an adult human Body for Himself out of the dust. Later that Body would return to the dust when the Spirit of God no longer needed the Body.

God had made a covenant with Abraham that from Abraham and his natural seed would come the Jewish nation.

Jesus was God. Sacrificing Himself to pay for our sins.

Abraham and his descendants became the link between Melchizadek and Jesus. The only two situations in which one Man combined the ministry of King and High Priest.

Let us now look again at this difficult Scripture which mentions a specific time.

DANIEL 8:14   And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Can we establish that there were 2300 years from the birth of Isaac to the death of Jesus?

The Jewish people killed their Messiah Who was the spiritual promised Son of Abraham at Calvary. Then God stopped working with them as a nation. After that God worked with Gentiles as individuals when each one got saved.

The first promised son that Abraham had was Isaac who was born when Abraham was 100 years old.

God called Abraham when he was 75 years old, after his father Terah died in Haran.

GENESIS 11:32   And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

GENESIS 12:4   So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

We count 2300 years backward from the death of Jesus

Let us get an approximate date from history to act as a check on our calculations.

Different historians tend to place the start of Solomon’s rule somewhere around 960 BC, or 970 BC, or 986 BC, or 992 BC. They acknowledge the difficulty of fixing exact dates. This can be seen from the spread of dates over a time of about 30 years that have been produced.

We will now attempt to fix the birth of Isaac and then add up the Bible dates and see if we can get a similar date for the start of Solomon's rule.

If that happens, then the date fixed for Isaac's birth must be correct.

Dates were always based on when a king or emperor began to rule.

Augustus was the most famous Roman emperor and he died in AD 14 . This date is well established.

His adopted son Tiberius began to rule in AD 14 when the Roman Senate acknowledged him as emperor.

LUKE 3:1   Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar,…

:2   … the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

So 14  +  15  =  29.    Thus AD 29 is the year that John the Baptist began to preach.

Some months later Jesus came to him to be baptized. By then most of the year AD 29 was over.

LUKE 3:23   And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age,

The dates coincide neatly. It was almost AD 30 and Jesus was almost 30.

So the Bible establishes that Jesus was in fact born in the year zero. Which is where our calendar starts.

Jesus came to confirm the covenant that God made with Abraham and his seed.

Jesus was supposed to have had a ministry of 7 years. But after three and a half years the Jews rejected and killed Him.

DANIEL 9:27   And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

A week can be seven years in the Bible.

The Jewish spies spent 40 days searching the Promised Land and gave up. So God made them wander for 40 years in the wilderness.

NUMBERS 14:34   After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days,

each day for a year,

shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

If the ministry of Jesus began just before the year AD 30 and lasted 3½ years then He would have died in the year AD 33.

2300 / 70 = 33

So, our Gentile calendar has 33 years less than the Bible years.

So 2300 Bible years is equal to  2300 – 33 =  2267 of our Roman Gentile years.

Subtract the 33 years AD to get back from Calvary to the year 0 when Jesus was born.

2267 – 33  =  2234 years BC

Let us assume that Isaac was born in 2234 BC.

(To simplify things, the Bible years of 360 days will be used as written in the Bible. Then we will add them up and convert the total to our modern Gentile years).

691 years from Isaac to the Jews leaving Egypt

GENESIS 25:26   And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

A score is 20.  So Isaac was 60 when Jacob was born.

The next age is not quite so obvious.

GENESIS 41:46   And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

Joseph prophesied 7 good years followed by 7 bad years.

GENESIS 41:47   And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls.

:48     And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

By the time the 7 good years were over, Joseph was  30 + 7 = 37 years old.

GENESIS 41:29   Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

:30     And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

After the famine started, Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt for food. Joseph said that there were still 5 years of famine left.

GENESIS 45:11   And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine;

Thus two years of famine had passed, so Joseph was  37 + 2  =  39 years old.

The brothers went back to get their father Jacob who then stood in front of Pharaoh claiming to be 130 years old.

GENESIS 47:8   And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou?

:9     And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years:

So Jacob was 130 when Joseph was 39.

Thus Jacob was 91 when Joseph was born.

Now Isaac was 60 when Jacob was born.

And Jacob was 91 when Joseph was born.

60  +  91  =  151 had years passed since Isaac was born to the birth  of Joseph.

GENESIS 50:26   So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old:

151  +  110  =  261 years  had passed since Isaac was born, to when Joseph died.

Joseph was the last generation of the seed of Abraham that was still in Abraham’s loins when God made a covenant with Abraham and his seed. Thus the covenant applied literally to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.

When Joseph died the covenant made with Abraham by God was then complete.

GENESIS 15:13   And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them;

and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

The Jews were not afflicted while Joseph was alive.

They had to await a Pharaoh who did not know Joseph. This happened 30 years later.

EXODUS 1:8   Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

EXODUS 1:11   Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens.

EXODUS 12:41   And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years,

even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.

There were 30 years of peace and 400 years of affliction in Egypt before the Jews left Egypt.

261 + 430 691

691 years passed since the birth of Isaac to when the Jews left Egypt.

The years of enemy rule in Israel do not count

Solomon began to build the Temple in his fourth year.

I KINGS 6:1   And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

So 480 years after being free from Egyptian oppression, they began to build the Temple.

But in the days of the Judges they were afflicted and oppressed for a total of 111 years by the surrounding pagan tribes. In these years they were back under oppression as it had been in Egypt.

God did not count these years as their enemies were ruling them.

In that sense the Jews were not living by their own laws. They were under a military yoke and had to serve and obey their pagan enemies.

So the 480 years becomes  480 + 111 = 591 years

Let us add up these 111 years of affliction that were not counted.

JUDGES 3:8   Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.

JUDGES 3:14   So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.

JUDGES 4:3    And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.

JUDGES 6:1    And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

JUDGES 10:7   And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.

:8     And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.

JUDGES 13:1   And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

8 + 18 + 20 + 7 + 18 + 40 = 111 years.

These were years of affliction due to serving and obeying enemy rules that were not counted as living freely in the Promised Land under the Law of God.

We return to where the Jews left Egypt.

I KINGS 6:1   And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

691 years after the birth of Isaac, the Jews left Egypt.

Since the birth of Isaac     691 + 591  =  1282 years to the start of the Temple.

Convert Bible years to our Gentile years   1282 / 70 = 18 years less.

1282 – 18  =  1264 Gentile years.

If Isaac was born in 2234 BC then Solomon began to build the Temple in  2234 – 1264 =  970 BC

Thus Solomon would have begun to reign 4 years before this in   974 BC.

Many historians have dates for Solomon to begin ruling that are scattered around between 960 BC and 992 BC.

So our date of 974 BC has agreed surprisingly well with them.

The 2300 Bible years thus covers the time from Isaac’s birth to the cleansing of the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus at Calvary.

This is when Jesus confirmed the covenant, at a much deeper spiritual level, that God had made with Abraham at a natural level.

GENESIS 14:18   And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

Melchizadek the Priest and King gave Abraham bread and wine.

Joseph was in jail with a baker who made bread and a butler who served wine.

Jesus the High Priest of the order of Melchizadek gave His disciples bread and wine at the last supper.

Jesus broke the bread. The baker who made bread was killed by Pharaoh.

Finally, at the end time the Jews were prophesied to reclaim their Promised Land that the Romans kicked them out of in 70 AD.

GENESIS 14:20   And he (Abraham) gave him (Melchizadek) tithes of all.

Abraham asked one favour, that Eshcol could get his portion.

GENESIS 14:24   … and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

Abraham paid tithes and asked that Eshkol would get his portion.  Later Abraham’s great grandson Levi would collect tithes.

Almost 4000 years later in the 1967 war the Jews won back a big portion of their Promised Land. The President of Israel was Levi Eshcol.

Payback time for Abraham’s tithes took 4000 years, but it happened. And Eshcol again got his portion.

Nothing is more accurate than God’s Word.

Abraham never regretted paying tithes.
