Matthew 28:19 tells us to baptize in a name. Acts 2:38 tells us that the name is Jesus

MATTHEW 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:”
Teach is mentioned twice in two verses. This is emphasis.
Good teaching is not to tell you to rattle off a formula off by heart.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. This has no meaning unless you know what that name is.
Name is singular. You cannot find one name for three Persons. Thus, the Trinity God has no name.
Consequently, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost cannot refer to three Persons.
These three titles refer to three ministries.
Father is God above the Jews. Son is God with the Jews. Holy Ghost is God in the church.
As the Son, the fulness of God dwelled in Jesus.
COLOSSIANS 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Emmanuel. God with us
The Son is obviously Jesus.
Jesus is also the Truth.
JOHN 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:”
JOHN 14:17 “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
Jesus was God with us and then God in us.
John the Baptist introduced Jesus as the One Who came from above. Compared to Jesus Who comes from above, we must all decrease to nothing as we die to ourselves.
JOHN 3:30 “He must increase, but I must decrease.
:31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.”
Above is mentioned three times in one verse, concerning Jesus. That is real emphasis.
So. Jesus is above, with, and in us. Three unique ministries.
Water baptism refers to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
ROMANS 6:3 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:”
God the Father never died, never was buried, and never resurrected. So, water baptism does not connect to a separate Person called God the Father in any way.
God the Holy Ghost never died, never was buried, and never resurrected. So, water baptism does not connect to a separate Person called God the Holy Ghost in any way. Besides, no Scripture speaks of God the Holy Ghost.
But water baptism is an important deed. And all our deeds should be done in the name of Jesus Christ.
COLOSSIANS 3:17 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to
God and the Father
by him.”
If you say Father and Son are two separate Persons, then the above verse says that God and the Father are two separate Persons. That is a huge problem.
COLODSIANS 2:2 “ … to the acknowledgement of
the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;”
If you insist on separate Persons, then God, and the Father, and Christ are separate Persons.
How do you differentiate between God and the Father?
The Father is the supernatural Spirit that dwells in Jesus. That is what makes Him God. As a Man, Jesus is not God because God is Spirit, not flesh and bone.
By baptizing in the name of Jesus, Peter fulfils Matthew 28:19 by revealing the name of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Christ is a title, meaning the Anointed One. We must attach at least one title to the name Jesus in order to specify which Jesus we are talking about. Many men have the name of Jesus. But there is only one Lord Jesus, only one Jesus Christ.
ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
The two verses must agree with each other, not contradict each other.
We must be baptized in their name of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. That means we must be baptized in the name of God.
As a Spirit, God was Father to the Jews as He ruled them from above as their Lord.
Then God became flesh. Colossians 2:9 says the fulness of the Godhead dwelled in Jesus bodily.
So, the Man Jesus was the Son of God. The supernatural Spirit within Him was the Father. Thus, Jesus was the human name of God. Jesus was called Emmanuel which means God with us.
God above the Jews as the Father. God with us as the Son. Then God in us as the Holy Ghost.
We are anointed by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was the anointed One, the Christ.
So, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost represent the three manifestations of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thus, Jesus Christ is the human name of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
If you believe in a Trinity of three separate Persons then you cannot find one name for three People. So, God loses His name.
Then they repeat like parrots, “In the name of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost” but cannot tell you what that name is.
The Bible never mentions parrots.
God the Father is never mentioned in the Old Testament but does appear in the New Testament.
However, God the Son is unscriptural.
God the Holy Spirit is unscriptural.
One God in three Persons is unscriptural.
Three-in-one is unscriptural.
”Of one essence” is unscriptural.
First Person of the Godhead is unscriptural.
Second Person of the Godhead is unscriptural.
Third Person of the Godhead is unscriptural.
Jesus is in the Godhead is unscriptural.
The word Trinity is unscriptural.
So, by going with the Trinity belief you get entangled in a lot of unscriptural statements.
Thus, the Trinity belief means that God loses His name. That is what upset Muhammed. He then turned the Arabic word for God, which is Allah, into the name of God.
This did not really solve the problem because if Allah means God, then God cannot be the name of God.
Consequently the human name of God is Jesus.
Colossians 3:7 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus
As a result, baptism in the name of Jesus fulfills Matthew 28:19 because Jesus is God manifest in the flesh.
