70th week of Daniel refers to Messiah not Antichrist

The big mystery of Daniel is to explain how the ending of the Jewish Temple sacrifices actually confirms the covenant.

After Messiah appears the Jews have 7 years left

DANIEL 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,

Seventy weeks is left to the Jews.

70 x 7 = 490 days.

The people of Daniel are the Israelites who today are called the Jews. The city of Daniel is Jerusalem.

A week can be 7 years in prophecy.

Laban said to Jacob that he must work seven years if he wanted to marry Rachel.

GENESIS 29:27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

So, this prophecy of Daniel left the Jews 490 Bible years which is 70 weeks.

But the first 69 weeks will be spent waiting for Messiah.

Then when Messiah comes there will only be one week (7 years) left to the Jews.

7 + 62 = 69 weeks

DANIEL 9:25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

The Persian king Artaxerxes gave Nehemiah the commandment to build the wall around Jerusalem.

The Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar had broken down the wall of Jerusalem. Only when a wall was built around all the buildings could Jerusalem be called a city.

It took Nehemiah 52 days to build the wall. It was a troubled time as they had to be armed while they built.

NEHEMIAH 4:17They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

:18For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

NEHEMIAH 6:15 So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

When the wall was built then the 490 years of prophecy started. This is called 70 weeks.

Then there would be 7 weeks (49 years) with prophetic help from God that ended with the prophet Malachi. He was the last of the Old Testament prophets.

After Malachi would be 62 weeks with no prophetic help until John the Baptist appeared on the scene to warn the Jews and baptize Jesus.

7 + 62 = 69 weeks

So, 69 weeks after Nehemiah got the commandment to build the wall of Jerusalem, then Jesus would appear on the scene as the Messiah of the Jews.

After that, there is one week or seven years left to fulfill the ministry of Messiah.

Messiah is cut off during the last week

After the sixty-nine weeks would be sometime during the 70th week, the last week of 7 years.

DANIEL 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

and the people of the prince that shall come

shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Sometime after His 7-year ministry began, Messiah would be cut off or crucified. He would not die for Himself as He was a perfect and sinless Man. Death only came in because of sin. Thus, the perfect and sinless Jesus could not die.

Speaking of His perfect life:

JOHN 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.

So, Jesus died for mankind by taking on the sins of all those who would repent and accept Him as Saviour.

The people of the prince that shall come.

The future prince is the man of sin, the son of perdition.

II THESSALONIANS 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The first falling away was in the Dark Ages. They ended when Martin Luther exposed the Pope as the man of sin who claimed that he could forgive sin by selling indulgences to raise the money to build St Peter's church in Rome.

The people who destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the Temple in AD 70 were the Romans.

So, the man of sin, who will be the son of perdition during the 3.5 years of great Tribulation will come from Rome.

"Sin" and "perdition" is the language of a church leader, not the language of a politician.

In John 17:12, Jesus prayed for his disciples except for Judas. Judas was an apostle, a church leader.

We will know this final man of sin when he usurps the position of the Pope. He will not be a Cardinal who is voted in by the Council of Cardinals.

DANIEL 11:21And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Satan entered Judas to make him the son of perdition at the First Coming.

JOHN 17:12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Thus the son of perdition at the end time will also be a church leader.

During the destruction of the Temple and the city of Jerusalem in AD 70 there were over 1 million Jews killed in a flood of death.

From AD 132 to AD 136 the Jewish Bar Kochba revolt against Rome was crushed by the Roman Emperor Hadrian after 580,000 Jews were killed to continue the flood of death.

The surviving Jews were exiled and dispersed amongst the nations where they were endlessly persecuted and often killed as nations robbed them, banished them, and made them desolate.

In 1867 Mark Twain visited Israel (although he Romans had changed its name to Palestine) and described it as a desolate country given over to weeds with hardly a tree or shrub. In many areas he saw almost no people.

Hitler destroyed 6 million Jews in the Holocaust during World War 2. This was the biggest flood of death against a nation as there were only 9 million Jews in Europe at that time. Granted a homeland by the United Nations, they had to fight four wars after 1947 against massive Arab opposition to secure their homeland in Israel. Thousands of rockets have continued to be fired at them in their homeland. The United Nations endlessly condemns them as nations continue to hate the Jews.

The covenant is not made it is confirmed

We return back to the prophecy that allowed Messiah seven years (one week) for His ministry.

DANIEL 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

DANIEL 9:27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

The churches make a big mistake here. They say that he (the Antichrist) will MAKE a covenant. That is completely wrong.

This verse says that the covenant will be confirmed. Thus, the covenant was made before the last week. Before the last seven years.

The churches second mistake is that they have no answer for when the covenant was previously made, nor who it was made with.

The third mistake is that the churches speak of the Antichrist and claim that he will be an end-time political leader. But the Bible never uses the expression, the Antichrist. So, that is also wrong.

Then the fourth mistake of the churches is that they say the Antichrist will break the covenant after 3.5 years when he stops the daily sacrifice.

But there is no mention in Daniel of breaking the covenant.

The covenant is confirmed.

A confirmed covenant cannot be broken.

If the covenant is broken then it was never confirmed.

DANIEL 9:27and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

The fifth mistake of the churches is that they cannot explain how the Temple sacrifices will be stopped and yet the covenant will be confirmed during that process.

The sixth mistake of the churches is to believe in a seven-year tribulation. There is no Scripture for that.

The seventh mistake of the churches is to claim that the first 3.5 years of tribulation will be not too bad and only the last 3.5 years will be very bad. There is no Scripture that says that.

So, we need a rethink.

Just to summarize the church mistakes and thus their dilemma.

The churches cannot answer this verse about confirming the covenant because it means that the Antichrist has to be on earth for longer than 7 years in that he first has to make the covenant and then later confirm it for 7 years.

There is no Scripture for him being here for longer than 7 years.

There is no Scripture for him making a covenant before he confirms it.

If he is going to break the covenant after 3.5 years, then he cannot confirm it. A covenant that is confirmed cannot be broken.

So, we have a very subtle problem.

The Scripture does not say that he will break the covenant.

DANIEL 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

This Person (Who is God, not the Antichrist) confirms the covenant by causing the Temple sacrifices to cease.

That is the mystery. How does He confirm the covenant by ending the Temple sacrifice?

The covenant was made by God with Abraham and his seed

So, when was that covenant made?

GENESIS 15:18In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram,

saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

God made a covenant with Abraham and his physical seed (Isaac).

Initially, Abraham was known as Abram.

We always thought that meant his seeds, the Jews. We got that wrong.

There is only one other Scripture that speaks of confirming a covenant.

GALATIANS 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one,

And to thy seed, which is Christ.

:17 And this I say,

that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ,

the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

God confirmed this covenant in Christ, the spiritual Seed of Abraham. It had nothing to do with the Jews and the Law.

The Jews do not own the territory of Israel right up to the Euphrates, but they will in the Millennium of 1000 years of peace.

So, what was the covenant that God made with Abraham (who was initially Abram) and his spiritual Seed that was confirmed at Calvary.

Please note that the Temple sacrifices were finished in the middle of the week when the covenant was confirmed. The covenant was not broken.

The Aaronic Priesthood and their Temple sacrifices ended. But the Law had nothing to do with the covenant as the Law was only given to Moses 430 years after God made the covenant with Abram.

The covenant God made symbolized the 7 church ages

What was the covenant that was made in Genesis Chapter 15?

How was it confirmed at Calvary?

The church would have the truth in the first church age thanks to the apostles but would lose the truth in the Dark Ages. Then would come three stages of restoration. This was the difficult part for God because the apostles were no longer around to guide the church back to apostolic truth.

This candlestick represents the first church age from the Day of Pentecost and under the leadership of the apostles.

John saw Jesus standing in the central lampstand that represents the first church age.

REVELATION 1:13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man,

Only the first church age had the truth.

The seven-branched candlestick thus represents the original New Testament truth getting lost and then getting restored again.

This next candlestick represents the first four church ages as the truth gets increasingly lost, especially in the third and fourth church ages. The third church age saw the unscriptural Trinity doctrine and Christmas on 25 December enter the church. We were never asked in the Bible to celebrate the birth of the Lord. The fourth church age was the Dark Ages.

Now we come to the restoration of the truth. This is the part that God is mainly concerned about.

Age 5. Luther in Germany. Getting saved by grace through faith.

Age 6. Wesley in England restored holiness, brotherly love, and outreach that led to the great missionary age.

Age 7. Pentecost in America restored the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit. But that was not quite complete.

Jesus said we must worship God in Spirit and in Truth.

JOHN 4:24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The truth requires the wise virgins at the end time to understand the mysteries of the Bible.

Church age 7 must be restored to church age 1. That is the great mystery of God.

William Branham restored the original Truth that the apostles preached in the first church age. Each individual believer is required to prove their beliefs just by using the King James Bible.

GENESIS 15:9And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

Three animals that were three years old.

The three symbolizes the three church ages (5, 6, and 7) where truth was restored.

The two birds represented healing and salvation. The two great needs that sinful man has. The birds were not divided as you cannot separate salvation and healing. If Jesus can save you then He can also heal you.

GENESIS 15:10And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

The animals were each cut in half and the two halves were laid facing each other.

This symbolizes the Old Testament and the New Testament which represent the two halves of the Word of God that are laid facing each other, separated by the four Gospels which form the middle or central part of the salvation plan of God.

Only Jesus knew what was going on in the four Gospels.

The Old Testament finds its meaning in Calvary and the New Testament finds its strength and inspiration in Calvary. The Life and death of Christ holds the whole plan of God together for the salvation of mankind.

The birds were not cut in half. You cannot separate salvation and healing from Calvary. Both can be obtained there.

Calvary is the Wifi of God that continuously broadcasts the Good News. You can connect if you have a password. The password that works is sincere prayer, faith in Jesus Christ that He is the perfect Sacrifice, and studying the King James Bible as the perfect and infallible truth.

GENESIS 15:11And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.

Fowls were the enemy that gobbled up the seed that fell on hard ground in the parable of the sower that represented the first church age in Matthew Chapter 13.

The third parable has a big tree growing unnaturally instead of staying a small shrub. Then fowls (the enemy) come and sit in the branches and take the leadership of this organized church.

It should have stayed as a small home church run by local elders.

But the Nicaean Council in AD 325 set the stage for the unscriptural Trinity and the unscriptural Good Friday for Easter and organized religion rose up on man-made traditions until human opinions dominated the big organization.

So Abram, the prophet, chased these denominational fowls away by staying Scriptural according to the teachings of the New Testament apostles.

The early church never had a pastor in charge of a church. Each local church met in homes and were ruled by a group of local elders, not by one man.

The darkness of death and the horror of hell

GENESIS 15:12  And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

The sun was going down. Evening time. It shall be light in the evening time when the Truth is restored.

ZECHARIAH 14:7  But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Abram fell asleep. That was the covenant of God. Do nothing Abram. Your works cannot save you. Just fall asleep and stay out of the way. God will arrange your salvation without any help from you.

The horror of great darkness. The darkness of our sins. Sleep is symbolic of death. After death comes the dark horror of having to pay for our sins.

GENESIS 15:17And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

The sun went down.

Evening time light in the confusing denominational time. The churches get some light as many understand salvation by faith. But they get much darkness with their unscriptural traditions, such as Trinity and Christmas that we were never asked to celebrate. Equally unscriptural are Good Friday, Sunday Sabbath, Eve ate an apple, Seven-year Tribulation, the 1963 cloud in Arizona was the coming of the Lord or the coming down of the Angel in Revelation Chapter 10. Followers of William Branham believe that William Branham is the infallible, Absolute, Voice of God and that he is the Son of man. They also wrongly believe that they know what the seven Thunders are although they are not written.

But amidst this darkness there is also some Light as some people are restored back to the truth of the apostolic fathers.

Dark.

The horror of death when sin has to be paid for.

A smoking furnace.

The fires from the pit of hell. The scary fate of sinners.

And a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

At Calvary, between the New Testament church that started on the Day of Pentecost and the Old Testament, we have the four Gospels.

They tell us of Christ dying on the cross to pay for our sins. Then He died and His great Holy Ghost passed between the two Testaments as He went down to the fiery furnace of Hell and defeated the devil. He paid for our sins and won the battle for our salvation as He left with the keys of Hell and Death. Jesus was then in full control of the salvation plan and the devil was badly beaten.

God made the covenant with Abram in the form of those symbols.

He confirmed the covenant at Calvary when He suffered, died, and descended into Hell to defeat Satan. Then He rose from the dead.

The salvation of our souls was confirmed. The animal sacrifices of the Aaronic Priesthood were abolished.

But the covenant is confirmed for a week, 7 years.

Jesus fulfilled 3.5  years so there is another 3.5 years owing to the Jews in great Tribulation.

GENESIS 15:18  In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

The covenant was confirmed at Calvary, so the Jews are guaranteed to get their remaining 3.5 years during great tribulation time.

They are guaranteed to get their complete Promised Land in the Millennium, the thousand years of Peace.

When Jesus died then the sacrifices ended

So, when Jesus began His ministry, late in AD 29, there were still 7 years (one week) owing to the Jews.

If Jesus had fulfilled His ministry of seven years, then He would have established the Millennium or 1000 years of peace straight after that.

But He was to be cut off after 3.5  years which is right in the middle of the last week.

DANIEL 9:27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

When he was cut off in the midst of the week, that ended the Old Testament Law with all of its sacrifices.

LEVITICUS 10:6And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads,

neither rend your clothes;

lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people:

The Law stated that the High Priest Aaron (and his sons who would follow him as High Priest) were not allowed to rend or tear their clothes.

But Caiaphas the High Priest tore his clothes when he questioned Jesus.

MATTHEW 26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy;

By tearing his clothes, the High Priest ended the Aaronic Priesthood.

God responded by tearing up the inner veil in the Temple.

MATTHEW 27:51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain

from the top to the bottom;

So, the Temple Priesthood and its sacrifices and offerings ceased at Calvary.

But the covenant was confirmed at Calvary.

GALATIANS 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ,

the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

The Holy Spirit left the Temple when Jesus died and the Holy Ghost came down on the Day of Pentecost to start the seven church ages. The last church age ends at the Rapture when the church is caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

The Jews still have three and a half years left

When Jesus gets off the mercy seat to meet His Bride in the air, then there is no mercy for any Gentiles after that, in the 3.5 years of great Tribulation.

But God has to have mercy on the Jews because He promised them 70 weeks and there is still half a week, the 3.5  years of great Tribulation, that is owing to them. That is when Moses and Elijah will call out the 144000 Jews to meet and recognize Jesus as their Messiah.

REVELATION 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

42 months is 3.5 years.

REVELATION 11:3And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

1260 days is 42 months if each month is 30 days long. The two witnesses to Israel are Moses and Elijah.

REVELATION 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

Moses turned water into blood. Elijah called for a 3.5-year drought.

JAMES 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

So, the mystery of the 7 church ages is that they push the two halves of the 70th week apart.

The 7 church ages are thus

the dividing of time

as they split the last week in half.

These two halves are separated by about 2000 years.
