120  the meaning of this number

120 represents the limit to human effort where humans fail.

The days of Noah

GENESIS 6:3  “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

In Noah’s day, human efforts had taken them far away from God. They would never find God by their own ideas and traditions. God would only put up with them for another 120 years before their failure became manifest in their violent destruction by the Flood.

The days of Moses

DEUTERONOMY 34:7  “And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.”

Moses had tried hard to serve God by the Law but had failed in subtle ways. He was the first man to break all 10 Commandments, thus symbolizing the future failure of the Levitical Priesthood when High Priest Caiaphas tore his robe. That broke the Law of Moses and God tore up the Temple veil. The Levitical Priesthood ended and was replaced by the Melchizedek Priesthood.

MATTHEW 26:65  “Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.”

LEVITICUS 10:6  “And Moses said unto Aaron [the first High Priest], and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people:

Moses made a bigger and more subtle mistake when he struck the Rock twice. Then God said he could not go into the Promised Land. What did this mean?

I CORINTHIANS 10:4  “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

The Rock that followed the Jews and gave them water was Christ, disguised as a Rock.

EXODUS 17:6  “Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.”

The Rock being struck symbolized Jesus as a Man being struck and killed at Calvary. That is where the waters of eternal life flowed out from Him as He redeemed us from our sins.

NUMBERS 20:11  “And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.”

Something is wrong. Moses struck the Rock twice. Now beasts are also mentioned as benefitting from the waters of life, which flow from the Word of God.

There are two beasts in Revelation 13 involved in the Word of God. The beast from the sea with 7 heads. The sea representing the crowded nations of Europe. The beast was the pagan Roman Empire built on the seven hills of Rome. Pagan Rome killed Christ. The Temple of Jupiter on the Capitoline Hill was their Headquarters. This Hill was wounded to death in AD 476 when the Barbarians conquered Rome and the Capitoline Hill lost its authority to rule the Roman Empire.

REVELATION 13:1  “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns"

REVELATION 13:3  “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”

Then the deadly wound recovered as the cruel, money-grabbing spirit of pagan Rome resurrected on the ruins of the Roman Empire as the Roman Catholic church. The Headquarters of the Roman Catholic church was in the Lateran Palace, on the Caelian Hill, that had been given to the Pope by Emperor Constantine.

The pagans were basically believers in various trinities as they thought that one god could not do everything. The Roman Catholic Church conquered the Barbarians by coming down to their level and inventing a church Trinity, a Triune God that had no name. You cannot find one name for three Persons.

At the Council of Nicaea in AD 325, the Trinity was forced onto the Catholic church by the Roman Emperor Constantine.

That is what was meant by the second hit of Moses when he struck the Rock twice.

The first hit saw Jesus as a Man killed by the pagan Roman Empire on the cross.

The second hit saw Jesus as the Word of God being killed by unscriptural words and phrases being added to the Bible by the Roman Catholic church.

Unscriptural words like Trinity, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, one God in three Persons,

and God’s name is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

When white light bends twice as it passes through a triangular piece of glass, it opens up into seven dominant colours, symbolizing the seven church ages where Roman Catholic and then Protestant churches came forth.

The Capstone distorts the light and has to be blocked out.

The churches distort Jesus as the Capstone and cannot recognize Him as being Lord God Almighty.

They say He is only the Son of God. As if He is limited.

It is the church-thinking that is limited. They cannot raise Jesus high enough to see the real truth.

The porch of church theology is very low.

As soon as they say Jesus is Lord God Almighty, it conflicts with their Roman Catholic Trinity belief.

They distort the issue by staying with their Trinity belief and demoting Jesus.

But the Trinitarian churches will not be ready for the Second Coming of Jesus as they never took on the name of Jesus Christ in water baptism. The Bride must take on the name of her husband, Who is Jesus Christ.

That is the way the apostles baptized.

ACTS 2:38  “Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ”

When light bends twice, it aims back towards the foundation of the three-cornered piece of glass.

Baptism represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

The Father never died nor was He buried.

The Holy Ghost never died nor was He buried.

So, if God the Father and God the Holy Ghost are two separate Persons, then they had nothing to do with the water baptism.

ROMANS 6:3  “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”

ROMANS 6:5  “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:”

Thus, the Trinity doctrine stops millions of modern saved Christians from being ready to receive Jesus as Almighty God Who will catch them up to Heaven.

As a result, they will not go into Heaven at His Second Coming. They sadly go into great Tribulation and are killed. A thousand years later they come up on Judgement Day and although they were fooled by the church they will be spared because they were saved.

Hitting the Rock twice meant Jesus being killed as a Man to save people and the second event of the Trinity killing Jesus as the Word of God.

The Catholic church lost the truth of the Godhead by introducing a subtle but dangerous error. One God in three Persons. That puts Jesus into the Godhead as the unscriptural Second Person of the Godhead. Totally wrong. It is the opposite way around. All the Godhead is bodily inside Jesus.

COLOSSIANS 2:9  “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

The second hit by Moses was the symbol of this Trinity error that killed the truth of the Word.

That meant that Moses had to act out the future path of the saved foolish virgins who would not be ready for the Second Coming. They will not be caught up to Heaven. They will go into great tribulation. That suits God’s Plan as He wants Moses and Elijah in great tribulation to guide the 144000 Jews to Christ.

Consequently, Moses was not allowed to go over into the Promised Land.

Obeying the Law and obeying the church has its limit. Moses could not make the Promised Land. The Trinity-fooled saved churches cannot make the Second Coming of Jesus.

The church voted in a church leader

ACTS 1:15  “And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)”

Peter decided that they must elect an apostle to replace Judas.

Matthias was elected but we never read of him again. That was a failed choice.

The true apostle was Paul, who the disciples would never have chosen. This indicated the huge failure of the church as they established an organization whereby they elevated men to positions of church leadership.

This was wrong as the New Testament never made a Pastor the head of a local church.

Today every church has a Pastor but differences between the various Pastors have resulted in over 2000 different kinds of churches.

This shows the complete failure of elected human church leadership to fulfill God’s Plan.

The Temple porch was incredibly high

The Temple porch is often referred to as Solomon's porch.

II CHRONICLES 3:4  “And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.”

The almost impossible loftiness of the porch encapsulates a sense of awe, pointing to the transcendence of God. He dwells far above our human abilities.

The porch was high, incredibly high. This forced you to look up as you approached the Temple, reminding you that our thoughts and ways are nowhere near as high as God’s thoughts and ways.

We tend to think of God’s ways and thoughts being impossibly high, unbelievably high because our little brains cannot think as deeply as God can. So, we claim that 120 cubits is a mistake in the King James Bible (which is a deadly sin) and try to drag God’s thinking down to the 20 cubit level of our error-riddled and prejudiced misconceptions.

ISAIAH 55:9  “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

The exceedingly high porch was to remind us that God thinks very differently to us.

Jesus and the early church loved the high porch

JOHN 10:23  “And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.”

Jesus was not put off by the incredibly high porch. That is where He felt at home.

Only Jesus can comprehend the high and lofty thoughts of the supernatural God the Father Who dwelled in Him. Jesus found His solace and comfort in the unsearchable heights of God’s eternal Plan that humans could not understand.

We have to obey God’s Word because His planning is at a much higher level than what we can comprehend.

ACTS 3:11  “And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.”

The people were shocked by this amazing healing that was supernatural. Way above any human power to achieve. So, they instinctively ran to the incredibly high porch which indicated to them that God’s power is spectacularly amazing. Far above human abilities.

Looking up so high, above human thoughts and achievements, they praised Jesus. Not some man.

ACTS 5:12  “And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.”

Fantastic supernatural miracles made them realize that there is amazing power in the high Heaven. The spectacularly high porch made them aware of how much greater the power of God is compared to the puny efforts of man.

Jesus said

JOHN 12:32  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

We can never lift Jesus high enough in our praises.

That takes our eyes off people and church leaders.

Our secret of success is to die to ourselves and elevate Jesus instead.
