Luke Presents Jesus as the Ideal Man. Part 3: Chapters 13 - 19

In Luke's Gospel Jesus appears as the ideal Man walking amongst men.

Then Luke also teaches us about how we should believe, think and behave as human beings.

Luke was very concerned with taking the Gospel to the Gentiles. So he mentions many of the mistakes that the Jews made at the First Coming of Jesus because he realizes that we Christian Gentiles will make similar mistakes at the Second Coming of Jesus. After all,  ignorance and stupidity have always been common to humans down through the ages.

So Luke writes in order to give us Christians an advance warning about our church errors by pointing out the faults that the Jews made.

Luke Chapter 13

Thirteen is the number of rebellion.
GENESIS 14:4   Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

Revelation Chapter 13 reveals the rise to world domination of the scary but powerful Roman Catholic beast (or church-political-money power) and the dominating American beast (or Protestant church-political-scientific-military-money power) that rebel against God and His Word and bring on the mark of the beast which is to be religiously brainwashed with unscriptural beliefs.

A few simple examples of how Christians have drifted away from Scripture :  Christians are taught to believe things that are not written in the Bible such as the Big Bang and evolution. Same sex marriage. Denominations. Canons. Diocesan. Archbishops, Cardinals, Popes. Priests not allowed to marry. Ministers wearing turned around collars. Easter eggs. Hot cross buns. Church buildings with steeples and a rooster on top. Purgatory. Lent. Making the sign of the cross. The prayer beads of the rosary.  Praying to saints. Eating fish on a Friday. Huge cathedrals and basilicas.

Christians are also taught to  believe a portion of Scripture but are then subtly led astray by adding in further man-made beliefs. Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. That is true.  But the date of 25 December and a decorated christmas tree are unscriptural. A tree had nothing to do with the birth of Jesus.

This is how the mark of the beast slowly infiltrates our minds. The church has cleverly manipulated our thinking into man-made ideas that sound good, and we like to have it that way. Having accepted minor unscriptural ideas as truth,  we then more easily start to believe far more serious unscriptural ideas. The mark is in our forehead. In the forehead is the brain. In the brain we think. Our thinking has been captured and programmed by our denominational beliefs.

Staying with what the Bible says is no longer that important.

So Luke Chapter 13 opens with a reference to an unsuccessful rebellion of some Jews against the Romans.
LUKE 13:1   There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

These Jews had rebelled against the cruel Roman prefect Pontius Pilate, who was a blood-thirsty ruler.

Pilate had no qualms about unleashing the merciless  swords that had made ruthless Roman soldiers feared around the world. Rome ruled with an iron-like brutality against any rebellion.

LUKE 13:2   And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

Those who were killed were no worse than other Jews. They just made the wrong decision. They made the fatal mistake of gaining popular approval by their rebellion against Rome. But they had no chance as Rome was too powerful. They were also blind to the fact that they should be waiting for Messiah. He alone would know what to do. So, too impatient to wait for Messiah, they relied on their own efforts which were futile. Pilate also learned from this episode that killing opponents was an effective way of ruling. He would again use that method against Jesus.

Philo, the famous historian from the first century said that Pilate as a man had "vindictiveness and furious temper". So rebelling against him was a death sentence.

What their rebellion did succeed in doing was to reveal the vicious nature of Pilate which helps to explain why he could later condemn an innocent Man, Jesus, to be crucified. Pilate was persuaded by the Jewish mob who were rebelling against Jesus, their true King,  because they had been emotionally whipped up by the exhortations of their religious leaders. Yet at the beginning of that same week they had welcomed Jesus as King when He rode in on a donkey on Palm Sunday. So fickle is human nature. The Jews foolishly and fatally listened to their religious leaders. Few things are more deadly than the preaching of the religious leaders in defense of their religious systems. In their rebellion against truth, the Jews made sure that Jesus, the Word, was condemned.

LUKE 13:3    I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

The Jews rebelled against Jesus, then rejected and killed Him in 33 AD.

They thought that they had got away with that frightful act of unbelief.

But in 66 AD the Jews rebelled against Rome. Four years later in AD 70 the Roman general Titus, son or prince of the Roman emperor Vespasian, besieged Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple, leaving the city in ruins.   1 100 000 Jews were killed or died of disease and starvation in the process.

The Jews then again rebelled against the emperor Trajan from 115 - 117 AD and were defeated and killed in many battles. In 132 AD the Jews were rebelling for the third time against Rome. The Roman emperor Hadrian finally defeated them in 135 AD and exiled the Jews from Jerusalem which he rebuilt as the new Roman city Aelia Capitolina. The Jews scattered all over the world where they endured endless persecutions and murders (pogroms) for 2 000 years. This reached a climax from 1941 - 1945 when six million Jews were killed in Hitler's awful gas chambers in Poland. Finally allowed back into Palestine in 1948 as a nation, they have survived four Arab wars and endless armed attacks by smaller groups mainly from Gaza and Lebanon, plus having thousands of rockets fired at them as well as suicide bombings. The death toll keeps mounting.

The words of Jesus have more than been fulfilled.

LUKE 13:4   Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

:5    I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Again Jesus warns of the endless number of Jewish deaths. The eighteen who died were not the worst Jews. To us, these were random, accidental deaths and from our human viewpoint it seems that death does by chance strike both good and bad Jews. They were not doing anything wrong, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Because the Jews refused to repent and accept Jesus as their Messiah, that puts them in the wrong place spiritually, and at random times and places savage hatreds by other nations have caused the Jewish nation to pay an awful price for their rebellion against Jesus. The Jews have endured the longest time of relentless attacks and persecution of any nation in history.

LUKE 13:6   He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

The fig tree is God's symbol for the Jewish nation. Jesus came to the Jews but they showed no spiritual fruit of faith in Him. They could not believe that He was their promised Messiah because He came in too simple a way. They rebelled against Him and demanded His death.

LUKE 13:7   Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

Calvary was the complete rejection of Jesus by the Jews.  God was thinking of sending in the Roman army to destroy the Temple and Jerusalem.

:8   And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

But He decided to give them another chance. So the tree of Israel was spared. Instead of destroying the Jews, God sent the apostles to preach to them so that they might be saved despite their great sin of killing Messiah.

:9   And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Jesus preached to the Jews but they rejected Him. Their first chance was gone. Even after they killed Him, Jesus sent disciples to preach to the Jews and thus gave them another chance.

But most of the Jews rejected the Gospel. So the Jews turned down their second chance.

The greatest missionary of the New Testament was Paul. And the Jews rejected him too.
ACTS 13:46   Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Please note that Luke uses Chapter thirteen of the Book of Acts to tell us of the final rebellion of the Jews against the Gospel which forced Paul to turn away from the Jews to the Gentiles.

So the Jewish tree or nation which was centred on their Temple worship had to be cut down, for once again not bringing forth the fruit of faith in Jesus as the Word of God.
GALATIANS 5:22   But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

The Jews as a nation then also threw away the fruits of gentleness and peace, and rebelled violently against Rome in a bitter four year conflict that saw them brutally cut down by the Roman general Titus in AD 70 when he destroyed the Temple and much of the city of Jerusalem.

This is a warning to us too. Our last church age of Laodicea has Jesus standing outside the church door. The rejection of Scripture by the church will result in the church being cut down in the great Tribulation. So we live in dangerous times.
REVELATION 3:14   And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;

3:20   Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:

Our churches claim today that Christ is inside the churches. The Bible says He is standing outside, trying to get in. You must choose who is correct.

Luke next reveals an incident between Jesus and the Jews that also has a future symbolic meaning for the Gentile church. Luke wants us Gentiles to learn from the Jewish mistakes, otherwise the Gentile church would also face massive persecutions and death in the great Tribulation for not believing in the New Testament.

A woman symbolizes the church which is the bride of Christ.
II CORINTHIANS 11:2   For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Jesus then healed a crippled woman (symbolic of the crippled  church that needs the power of Jesus to restore it back to what it was at the beginning) on a Saturday and got accused of working on the sabbath.

LUKE 13:12   And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

:13   And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

:14   And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

:15   The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

The religious leader objected to the woman being restored back to her original health.

Today, it is the religious leaders who object to the church being restored back to what she was in the New Testament days.

Notice, the opposition to Jesus (the Word) comes from the ruler of the congregation. Today we would call the synagogue a church. The ruler is the pastor.

Jesus, being very critical of religious leaders, gave him a blast. He accuses the religious leader of being a hypocrite. You take animals to drink water on a Saturday. Why cannot a woman partake of the  healing water of Life?

LUKE 13:16   And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

:17   And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

The people loved Jesus but the religious system is very opposed to Him.

The religious leader opposed Jesus because He was a threat to the religious organization.

Please note, at His First Coming Jesus condemned the religious leaders of the Jews.

What will He say to the church leaders at His Second Coming?

Luke now describes a future prophecy.  The 2 000 years of church history is divided into seven church ages. As the church ages unfolded, the church leaders did their best to turn the people away from Jesus Who is the Word of God. How were the church leaders able to turn people away from the written Bible so that Christians would only believe portions of the Bible and reject the rest?

Jesus, by means of two parables, relates an amazing prophecy of two of the future church ages.

There are seven parables mentioned in Matthew Chapter thirteen. (That 13 again).  Each parable refers to a church age. Luke only refers to two of these parables, numbers three and four. The third and fourth church ages represent the Dark Ages, from 312 AD to 1517 AD, when the Roman Catholic church church dominated Europe and rebelled against the Word of God and banned their people from having a Bible. The only permitted Bible was in Latin which only the priests could read. The church  killed William Tyndale and dug up and burned the bones of  John Wycliff because they translated the Bible into the people's everyday language.

So Jesus now describes how this rebellion against God's Word would happen.

The Jews rebelled against Jesus as a Man. The church rebelled against Him as the Word of God.

This parable refers to the third church age which lasted from 312 AD to about 600 AD.

LUKE 13:18   Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?

:19   It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

A mustard seed, when properly cultivated, is a tiny seed that grows into a small shrub.

God never wanted churches to get big.

That is why people met in houses in the early church of the New Testament. No one man could then dominate a big assembly.
ROMANS 16:5   Likewise greet the church that is in their house.
PHILEMON 1:2   And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
COLOSSIANS 4:15   Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.

We should take note of this fact if we are to be restored back to the early church.

Please note, the people were called the church, not the building.  The Bible never says that anyone went to church. The people were the church.

At first Christians had to meet in small groups because the Romans wanted to kill them. From AD 64 to AD 312 the Roman emperors unleashed at least ten vicious persecutions which killed about 3 million Christians. [One of these horrific persecutions was unleashed by the emperor Aurelian who also declared 25 December to be the birthday of the sun god, Sol Invictus (the unconquerable sun). This date was first mentioned in Rome in the Philocalian Calendar in 354 AD as the birth day of both the sun god and the birth day of Christ. This sun god ritual and celebration was copied and absorbed by the Roman Catholic church as the birthday of the Son of God which allowed them to retain the pagan Roman tradition of giving presents and the decorated pagan tree as well as the green branches and holly and ivy decorations. Do not forget that the man who began this pagan festival was a violent Christian killer.]

The early church spread by being scattered and persecuted and had to meet in small groups, usually in houses. If they gathered in a public building or "church"  the Roman soldiers would simply have arrested them and eliminated them. House meetings is how the Chinese underground church survived and still survive their brutal repression by the communists.

In 312 AD the Roman emperor Constantine stopped the persecutions and Christians began meeting in public buildings which were mistakenly called churches. The church is the body of believers, not the building they gather in. The congregations were then able to get big. At times the Christians took over the big, fancy pagan temples. But only when a mustard seed grows wild, can it become a big tree, which is unnatural. Growing wild means adopting ideas that are outside the Bible. A big congregation will take on unscriptural human leadership and a hierarchy will develop with man-made rules of so-called church order and church tradition. Human opinions and prejudices take over. Christianity was now merging with paganism and politics. Pagan temples were run by a priest, so the churches copied this idea of having a priest and much later a pastor in charge.

The Bible never said that a pastor is the head of the church. The Bible never says that a shepherd is a pastor. The word "pastor" only appears once in the New Testament. But today pastors have usurped the position of being head of the church. Then comes assistant pastors, co-pastors, Sunday school superintendents, bishops in charge of pastors, archbishops, metropolitans, cardinals, popes. Just to mention some of the hierarchy in the church organization. This system of church control was simply a duplication of the Roman system of political control.

A tree has branches at different heights. People get promoted up the church ranks, thinking that they are serving God. They are only serving the church system.

So as the church grows bigger, it gets dominated by humans with these elevated ranks and their personal opinions.

What do the fowls mean?
GENESIS 15:11   And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.

When making a covenant with God, Abraham chased away the fowls. So fowls symbolize the enemy.

But in a big religious system there is plenty of room for "fowl" ministries to be elevated above the congregation. There they "lodge" full-time in the upper branches, feeding off the congregation. This is nicolaitanism as the religious big shots suppress the people who soon realize that their only requirement for church membership is blind obedience. God hates nicolatanism, which is the elevation of a holy man above the congregation. So the enemy now rules the big church organizations. A very neat deception.

This kind of church system was represented by the crippled woman that needed healing.

A woman is a symbol of the church. A crippled woman symbolized the spiritually crippled church of the Dark Ages. The church's power was derived from politics and pagan religious beliefs. But politics and religion combine in a macabre dance of death. Some  68 million people who opposed the Roman Catholic church were killed in the Dark Ages and the counter Reformation that followed the Reformation of the German reformer, Martin Luther.

Look what God says to the third church in the Book of Revelation.
REVELATION 2:15    So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

Nicolaitans. Elevate a holy man who conquers the laity or congregation. The Pope is the ultimate religious dictator. The pastors follow his example and rule according to their own ideas. The congregation, subject to this dictatorial rule, takes on the spirit of the pastor who dominates them. That is not a good space for a Christian to be in.

Human leadership imposes human traditions and doctrines and prejudices. If a pastor divorces and re-marries then many will join his church because they know that they will also have permission to divorce and re-marry. If a pastor allows drinking or smoking, the congregation will end up doing the same.
MATTHEW 15:9   But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Christians cannot believe that their church leaders could possibly be wrong. They follow their leaders more than they follow the Bible. God hates the church system whereby elevated leaders can dominate assemblies with their artificial man-made rules, beliefs, and structures.

Especially when the pastor insists that all the tithes belongs to him. Then it is clear what the main motivation of church leadership is : money and power over people. Judas also went for money.

Jesus proclaimed the kingdom of God (which is the Holy Ghost working within the hearts and minds of individuals) but human leadership produced a universal church organization with a huge hierarchy as well as elevated ministries and tribunals and councils that reversed many of the policies of Jesus in order to gain larger church membership. Thus the Old Testament priesthood that Jesus had condemned was dragged in through the back door by the Catholic church in order to ensure the future growth of the church. A dominant human leader is a very effective way of growing a church.

The next parable is the fourth parable from Matthew, representing the fourth church age which was the lowest ebb of the dark ages from about 600 AD to 1517 AD when Luther began his reformation. In this age the Catholic church reached the maximum limits of its power over Europe. Then the Black Death of  1348 - 9  so depopulated Europe that the great landowners, the nobles and the church, began to lose some of their wealth and power over people. A merchant class of traders began to rise and people began to object to many of the abuses of the church. But the Trinity had been established in peoples' minds for so long, that even the reformers never thought to question it. In 1553 John Calvin, the Protestant reformer, burned Protestant Michael Servetus, a Spanish doctor, at the stake for not believing the Trinity.

LUKE 13:20   And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

:21   It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

A woman symbolizes a church. The Roman Catholic church dominated Europe in the Dark Ages.

The fourth church age is called Thyatira, which means a "dominating woman".

In this Thyatira church age God says
REVELATION 2:20   Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Jezebel. The most evil woman of the Old Testament. This is symbolic of the dominant church of the Dark Ages. The Roman Catholic church is still obsessed with idols which are carved statues.

What doctrine did the church force on the world during the 900 years of the fourth church age?

She took meal that makes bread, which is a symbol of doctrine. Jesus, the Word, is the Bread of Life.  Then she took leaven and mixed it into the meal so that it was hidden and could not be clearly seen. Leaven  is yeast that works by decaying and decomposing and gives off bubbles of carbon dioxide gas that swells up the bread. This swelling up indicates the ego of the church leaders as their self-importance swells up, as well as the size of their assemblies that swell up. But the swelling up into big churches is caused by the decay and rotting of the yeast. This is not a good symbol.

Outwardly the church looks good but inwardly it is rotten with unscriptural beliefs.
LUKE 11:39   And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

The Pharisees were the religious leaders of the Jews, just like the priests were the leaders of the Roman Catholic churches in the Dark Ages.

So what terrible doctrine did the official church teach and firmly implant in the minds of Christians during the nine long centuries of the Dark Ages when they had almost no competition that could correct them?

The yeast was hidden in three measures of meal. The church hid a Trinity godhead in the Bible in such a subtle way that people cannot really see it clearly in any written Bible verse.

Look at the unscriptural terms that are used to explain the idea of a Trinity.

The word "Trinity" itself is unscriptural as well as "Three Persons of the Godhead". "One-in-three". "Three-in-one".  "One God in three Persons".  "Second Person of the Godhead".  "Father and Son are of the same essence". "God the Son".  "God the Holy Ghost".  Christians cannot explain why the Bible says "Son of God" but never "God the Son". The Bible says "Spirit of God" but never "God the Spirit". But 16 times the Bible says "God the Father". This is the hidden yeast or leaven. The church borrowed the Trinity idea from the pagan Babylonians and Egyptians and then used Greek philosophy (one-in-three and three-in-one) to somehow pretend that these ideas are somehow hidden in the Bible. That is why they did not want the people to read the Bible.

So over the years Christians developed the habit of just believing what the church leaders said. That habit continues to this day.

So emperor Constantine used the Council of Nicea in 325 AD to  force the people into these unscriptural beliefs in order to indoctrinate them with the idea of Trinity. This was done so that both Christians and pagans could be united as Trinitarians into one Roman church. Having accepted this unscriptural belief of Trinity, the Christians in the church were now open to believe any other unscriptural belief as well, like having to be subject to the Pope of Rome if you want salvation.  Believing in indulgences whereby you could buy forgiveness of sins. Believing what is written in the Bible was no longer important.

Then God lost His Name.  Three People cannot have one Name. Ask a Christian what the Name of God is, and watch the confusion that follows. Because they picture three separate Persons, they cannot find a single Name for God. So they have been fooled into believing that three titles are the Name of God.

They keep saying "In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost" but can never tell you what the Name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost is.

The apostles always baptized in the Name of Jesus, because the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Him.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

So the human name of God is Jesus Christ and that is the Name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

In addition to losing the Name of God, the churches demote Jesus to being the Second Person of the Godhead and teach that the disciples got it wrong when they baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. Thus the churches can never be restored to the early church of the New Testament as they believe that they must correct the mistakes that the apostles made. Thus as far as the churches are concerned, there are mistakes that need correcting in the Bible and consequently to them, the Bible is not the Absolute truth. This is a recipe for future disaster. Believing that there are mistakes in the Bible is simply rebellion against God's Word.

Luke now mentions that because of the errors that took over the Jews as well as the errors that would take over the church during the Dark Ages, not that many people will be saved.

Luke points out the mistakes that the Jews and their leaders made because these are the same mistakes that the church and their leaders would make.

Basically neither Jew nor church Gentile seems capable of just staying with Bible verses.

They all insist on drifting off into clever man-made ideas that appeal to us but are not specifically written in the Bible. We love the human traditions more than we love the Bible.

Where does Santa come from? Move the "n" to the end of the word and you get "Satan".

GALATIANS 4:9   But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

:10   Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

:11   I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Christmas exactly fulfills what Paul calls bondage. He feared that this nullified his attempts to help people.

25th day.  12th month.   Christmas time.   The birth day of Jesus every year.

We were never required by the Bible to remember or celebrate the birth of Jesus.

But Gentiles love their church traditions and festivities far more than they love the Bible.

The seed of error that was sown in the Dark Ages in order to turn us away from the written Word of God has produced an amazingly abundant crop at the end time.

Christians now rebel against those few who try to be Scriptural.

LUKE 13:22   And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

:23   Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

:24   Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

A "strait" is a narrow channel of water. We humans, both Jew and Gentile, are longer really interested in proving what we believe from Scripture verses. Thus we do not stay in the water of the Word.

EPHESIANS 5:26   That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

As soon as you believe something that is not written in the Bible, then you are no longer in the narrow strait of water which is the gate to Heaven.

Since being strictly Scriptural is no longer of great interest to Christians, not many will be saved from the great Tribulation which is looming up in the future like a tidal wave that will sweep us away, unless God catches away into the air those few who are restored back into the water of the Bible.

Being saved from hell is no guarantee that we will be saved from the Tribulation. They are two different issues.

LUKE 13:25   When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

LUKE 13:26   Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

These are saved Christians calling out to Him.

LUKE 13:27   But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Iniquity is doing something wrong that we know is wrong. We know we should only believe the Bible. God is totally unimpressed with human logic and traditions. If we believe anything that is not in the Bible, then God wants nothing to do with us as far as His Second Coming is concerned.

Accepting Christ as our personal Saviour saves us from hell. But we also need to be saved from the Tribulation by lining up with the Word of God.

Jesus only wants Bible-believing Christians for His Bride. His Bride must take on His Name. So we must be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. There is no other way to take on His Name.

LUKE 13:28   There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Saved Christians will not be able to believe that they did not make it for the catching away of the Bride of Christ. They will insist that a mistake was made. Followers of the favourite Hillary Clinton could not believe that she was not the winner in the 2016 American presidential election. She actually won almost three million more popular votes than Trump. A recount was demanded, but it did not help. The outsider Trump, dismissed by all the experts, made it. This is a sign of our times, if we are listening. The saved Christians who only believe the bits of the Bible that suit them will be left behind, their smug complacency shattered. Rejected Christians, outside the denominational churches, will make it. A huge shock awaits the churches in the future. They are the favourites now. They will be the losers then.

LUKE 13:29   And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

At the resurrection of the dead, the church from all seven ages will rise up.

LUKE 13:30   And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

The maize or wheat seed that is harvested at the end of the last church age must be identical to the seed that was planted during the first church age. So the last church age must be restored back to the teachings of the first church age. In other words, the New Testament teachings of the apostles that were believed in the first church age  and lost in the Dark Ages would only be truly revived and restored in the last church age.

In order to be harvested, we have to line up at the end with the beliefs that the church had at the beginning. The Christian churches are completely unaware of this trend in God's salvation plan.

LUKE 13:31   The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

King Herod represented politics. Jesus basically ignored Herod and in so doing tells us that politics and religion do not mix. This is an important lesson that the church was to forget. Three million Christians were killed by Roman emperors. In 312 AD emperor Constantine stopped this insane killing of Christians. They were so grateful to him that they accepted him, despite being a politician, as having authority over the church. He used the Nicene council of 325 AD to force the Trinity doctrine onto the Christians who now officially became known as the Roman Catholic church. For reasons that we cannot comprehend today, the official Roman Catholic church accepted this political interference and then, within one hundred years, the Catholic church that had previously been slaughtered by the Roman emperors felt justified in pursuing a mad policy of slaughtering all those who did not agree with this Trinity doctrine.

LUKE 13:32   And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

Jesus had no involvement with the politician Herod. A fox is a sneaky animal. That is the curse of politicians, they  become sneaky. When sent to Herod by Pilate, Jesus refused to even speak to Herod. Thus, from this example, church leaders should learn to stay out of politics.

LUKE 13:33   Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

The Jewish political head, Herod, could not stop God's plan unfolding in the days that led up to Calvary.  Jerusalem, the holy city, was where the prophets of God were killed. Jerusalem, the holiest city. Yet that is where Jesus, the Word of God, would die.

LUKE 13:34   O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

Jerusalem, the holy city, received Jesus Who rode in on a donkey (the ultimate humility) and offered them eternal life, yet their religious leaders rejected Him and turned it into the city of death.

In the same way the churches, where holy people gather, would reject and kill the influence of the Bible so that Christians would become happy to believe things that are not in the Bible. Worse still, they would be happy to condemn those who do believe what is in the Bible. Our real safety lies in the Bible, but churches do not want that. They prefer human tradition.

Who are the main critics of people who want to be Scriptural? The churches. People want what their church says, not what the Bible says. Churchianity (I belong to my church) has replaced Christianity (I belong to Jesus and the Bible).

LUKE 13:35   Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

The Jewish "house" was the Temple. The next time Jerusalem saw Him  was when Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey they cheered Him as the King coming in God's name. But soon after that they would reject and kill Him. This rejection prepared the way for Titus to destroy their Temple. Titus would leave the Temple a desolate wreck.

They had Messiah and cheered Him but then their leaders told them to reject Jesus, which they foolishly did. Then they and their leaders paid the price when their Temple and city were destroyed. Not to mention the 1 100 000 Jews who perished during the destruction of Jerusalem. Rejecting Jesus or rejecting what is written in the Bible brings tragic consequences.

Luke Chapter 14

Jesus asked some Pharisees if it was lawful to heal a sick man on the sabbath day.

LUKE 14:5   And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?

:6   And they could not answer him again to these things.

If an animal was in distress on the sabbath day, the Jews would help it out of its predicament. So what was wrong with healing a human on the sabbath?

Then followed His criticism of the religious leaders' love of showing off their importance.

LUKE 14:7   And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,

The Pharisees, being the rulers of the synagogues, always chose the most important seats.

Jesus advised them :    sit not down in the highest room;...go and sit down in the lowest room.

LUKE 14:11   For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

God does the opposite to what we do.

The Pope always has the most prominent seat at gatherings. Religious leaders, Catholic and Protestant, love their self-importance at public meetings.

Jesus said we must not make a feast and invite our friends, nor our brethren, neither our kinsmen, nor our rich neighbours; for they will invite you back and then you've had your reward.

LUKE 14:13   But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

They cannot repay you, so God will reward you.

Luke records a parable of a man who made a supper which is a symbol of the wedding meal at the Second Coming of Jesus.

(Matthew writes of Jesus as the King. He describes the same parable but says it was a king who prepared a wedding dinner for his son).

The lesson here is that everything will be the exact opposite of what we expect.

LUKE 14:16   Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

:17   And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

:18   And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

:19   And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

:20   And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

:21   So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

:22    And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

:23   And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

:24   For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

Those who are first called to the great feast at the end of the last church age are the saved Christians. But none of them were interested. They were too involved with spending their wealth and enjoying life. A woman, or wife, symbolizes a church. Christians are too preoccupied with their church and its beliefs and activities. Thus they have neither the time nor the interest to go back to the New Testament beliefs of the apostles.

Oxen are significant. There are four beasts around God's throne : a lion, an ox or calf, a man, an eagle. The lion represents the first two church ages where the truth was preached as Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The ox thus represents the Dark Ages where the truth was lost as church traditions moved away from the written Bible. Proving his oxen is symbolic of a Christian trying to prove that believing something that is not written in the Word is correct. So today Christians are very skilled in the defense of error. Justifying what is not in Scripture.

So the saved Christians who have first option and are the favourites to be ready for the Second Coming will not make it. Hillary Clinton was a warning to us all. As a woman she symbolises the church. She was the favourite to be chosen as president of America but did not make it. God is giving us a sign of the times. Those who have first claim will lose out. Clinton was more popular than Trump as she got more votes. But the less popular Trump won the presidency. Being more popular  is not the way to win.

Then the "rejects" that the denominational churches dismiss as no-hopers will get called up, because they will be ready to believe the Bible and follow the New Testament doctrines. Not belonging to a denomination makes it easy for them to believe the Bible just the way it is written. It is easier to believe truth if you have not first been taught error by a denomination.

Donald Trump was written off by all the experts and was thus a no-hoper. But he made it.

Expect the unexpected. If you feel you are certain to be ready for the Lord's Coming, think again. Hillary was also certain that she would succeed. As a woman, she is a symbol of our modern Christian church. She did not make it.

The great mystery of our last church age is how church trickery with its slick and polished doctrinal error has separated the saved Christians from what is written in the Bible.

Large crowds followed Jesus but then He laid down very tough conditions for us humans. Jesus is not impressed with big crowds because He knows there will be few in the end who really follow Him.

Luke often quotes statements that start with a man. This emphasizes the individual responsibility that we have if we claim that we are following Jesus.

LUKE 14:25   And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

:26   If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

:27   And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

We cannot put family demands before God. Husbands allow their wives to dominate them in the hopes of getting peace. Married Christians who have left home still allow their parents to control them. Parents move away from Bible standards in an attempt to appease their wayward children. We cannot put our own lives before God. If following Christ causes the rest of the family to reject me, then that is the price that I have to pay. The cross means suffering. Jesus said we must first count the cost before we decide to follow Him. It is a high price that a true Christian has to pay. If we are not careful, we will fall by the wayside.

LUKE 14:30   Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

It is easy to get saved and start as a Christian. But it is incredibly difficult to finish as we have to find the Bible truth in this last deceptive church age of endless denominational opinions, traditions, and brilliant emotion-driven defense of error.

These conditions are very tough. But superior people are attracted only by a challenge. By setting low standards and making life soft, God will only attract mediocre converts.

The Dark Ages were dark because the Bible was banned and there was virtually no light for the people to believe.

Our modern age blinds us because there are so many dazzlingly clever presentations of error that flicker across the stage that we are dazed and confused and bewildered. Christians today know shockingly little about the written Bible.

The truth will be believed by so few people that those few will end up estranged from almost everyone.

LUKE 18:8  .......Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

The obvious answer to this question is "No" or "Not really".

The churches claim that there are countless millions of saved Christians today. That may be true. What then is missing? Why did the Lord say there would be little in the way of Bible faith? Christians at the end would not have the interest to read what is written nor the ability to believe what is written in the Bible.

Faith comes from hearing the Word of God. So not many people will believe all that the Bible says, even if they are saved.

A Christian is involved in spiritual warfare and the Devil is a tough opponent, so do not expect life to be easy unless you are prepared to compromise with the Devil. The more you condone error, the better the chance that the Devil will go easy on you.

LUKE 14:33   So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

We have to be prepared to oppose our friends, our families and our church group and church leaders. We have to be prepared to forget the unscriptural doctrines that our churches taught us and unlearn them so that we can re-learn what is written in the Bible.

LUKE 14:34   Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

If we claim we are Christians but we do not stay with the Bible, then we are worthless to God.

LUKE 14:35   It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

"He that hath ears to hear, let him hear".  This statement is repeated to every church age. It is a warning that we must remain Scriptural. The whole of today's world is a testing ground to see if we will find some excuse to forsake Scripture or think that we have found a mistake in the Bible.

As soon as we disagree with or contradict anything in the Bible, we become useless to God's end time plans.

Luke Chapter 15

This Chapter stresses Jesus as the Man who came to save sinful men.
LUKE 15:1   Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

:2   And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

The religious leaders were horrified that Jesus mixed with sinners and ate with them.

So Jesus tells them that a shepherd will spend more time saving a lost sheep than looking after the sheep that remain in the fold (the good Jews who worship in the synagogue).

LUKE 15:3   And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

:4   What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

:5   And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

:6   And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

:7    I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

One lost sinner causes God to expend great energy and effort in His attempts to redeem the sinner.

If a woman loses something of value than she will make a great effort to find it. How much more effort should be expended on finding a lost soul and restoring that soul to God?

LUKE 15:8   Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

:9   And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

:10   Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

A deeper meaning sees a woman symbolize a church.

The church began in the New Testament but then lost many of the apostolic truths during the Dark Ages. Since then each church age has seen a section of the church trying to re-discover some aspects of the lost apostolic teachings. The only progress a church can make is by getting closer to the Bible truths.

Sin is unbelief in Scripture. Being restored back so that we can find the truths of the New Testament church is a cause of great celebration. It means that God is dealing with us by saving us from our unbelief.

God wants to be worshiped in Spirit and in Truth.
JOHN 4:24   God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Our search, at the end time, is to find the revelation of God's original truths as laid out in the New Testament.

Then Luke relates the famous story of the prodigal son.

Luke invariably quotes a parable that begins with some man.

LUKE 15:11  And he said, A certain man had two sons:

:12   And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

:13   And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

He became bankrupt and then famine hit, his so-called friends forsook him, and he ended up feeding pigs and sharing the food of the pigs.

LUKE 15:17  And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

:18   I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

:19   And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

:20   And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

His father welcomed him back and prepared a feast.

LUKE 15:23   And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

:24   For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

The elder brother returned and was unhappy, saying,"I have served my father faithfully and he made no such fuss over me. But when a rotten sinner that has wasted everything returns home, a big fuss is made".

LUKE 15:31   And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

:32   It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Jesus thus tried to explain the joy that is caused by a sinner who repents and comes to serve God.

This became a big motivational influence that launched the great missionary age.

There is a second reason for this parable: The New Testament church was the original home of Christianity. Then Christians lost the plot in the Dark Ages and fell by the wayside. Every individual Christian should decide that going back home to the original Bible faith of the apostles is the only decision that our heavenly Father really welcomes, as only those individuals will be at the wedding feast.

Luke Chapter 16

Luke again relates a parable dealing with a man.

This is the most difficult of all the parables to interpret because Jesus praises a crook.

Why does He do this? Because Pharisees were listening and as religious leaders they used their position for financial gain.
LUKE 16:14   And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

Like the Pharisees, the unjust steward, had positions of authority. He was being fired, and needed to find a future home.

LUKE 16: 1   And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

:2   And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

:3   Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

:4   I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

:5   So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?

:6   And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.

:7   Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.

Let us try to apply this parable to the Jews.

They had been the stewards of God's Word and God's Spirit in the Old Testament.

They carried God's Word in the ark of the covenant, and God's Spirit behind the inner veil. Oil is a symbol of God's Spirit. Wheat makes bread, which is a symbol of the doctrine of God's Word.

The Jews would reject Messiah, and thus waste their favoured position with God as they would no longer be stewards of His true Word and Spirit. They would then be thrown out of Palestine by the Romans. So Jesus advised them to get involved as money lenders and wealth earners, which would make them invaluable in helping the Gentile kingdoms financially.  The Romans dispersed the Jews worldwide after burning the Temple and sacking Jerusalem in AD 70, and finally exiled them from Jerusalem in 135 AD.

Deprived of their Temple, which was the centre of their faith, the Jews would have to write their own survival script for the next 2000 years.

The Jews learned to integrate into the dominant majorities of other nations, where their skill for making money has always ensured their survival and made them welcome in many countries. Jews have combined hard work with intelligence and a tremendous ability to trade and do banking and investments, and thus upgrade the economy of the country that accepts them.

In 711 the Muslim Arabs conquered Spain, and Jews became wealthy in the market place, and then rose to the highest government posts as a series of brilliant viceroys who made the Spanish caliphate extremely rich. These Jews, with their talented business skills, helped to usher in an age of splendour and learning as Spain developed a brilliant 700 year Islamic civilization, while the rest of Europe plunged into the Dark Ages. Thus the Jews helped to develop Islamic capitalism.

In 1066 William the Conqueror brought over many French Jews who established banking and a national economy in England. The Anglo-Saxon clergy of England had the unfortunate reputation of being ignorant, corrupt, and greedy. The barbaric and illiterate English hardly had an economy. The Jews formed an elite business class of professional men. Jewish bankers were involved in financial transactions involving huge sums of money. Jews established international banking in Europe by introducing promissory notes. The Jews acted as economic middle men between the Mohammedans and Christians.

The feudal system of the Dark Ages has the nobles doing the fighting, the priests praying, and the serfs doing the farming. There was no merchant class. So the Jews moved naturally into this vacuum, to the benefit of everyone.

Jews were expelled from England, but after 1648 Oliver Cromwell invited them back to England to speed up England's development of a capitalist economy. Court Jews were recognized for their financial genius, as they could guide a king in his struggles against the power of the nobles. Other Jews established vast business enterprises in most of Europe. Catherine the Great, who ruled Russia from 1762 t0 1796, found that she needed Jews to develop the economies of her newly conquered territories in Poland.

LUKE 16:8   And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

In the Dark Ages, Jewish capitalism far outshone the Christian church in terms of building up national economies.

:9   And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

The Jews failed to present Jesus as their Messiah to the world. But their business and banking skills made them welcome in different countries, during their dispersion.

Service to the community is regarded by the Jews as an obligation. Countries benefited financially by having Jews to help drive their economies.

:10   He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Jews were hugely disadvantaged as refugees who had to flee their homeland.  The Jews used their money making skills to their best advantage and increased the welfare of nations by helping to develop the private banks and the international banking practices.

Jewish bankers and industrialists helped so many nations. Jews safely and quickly transferred most of the gold from England to Spain that was needed by General Wellington's army in Spain as he defeated the French.

Using their financial skills to help so many nations qualified the Jews for a far greater reward -- their return to their own homeland.

Meanwhile the nations who occupied Israel had never developed its potential, as they persecuted or suppressed the Jews. Most of these nations faded away onto the scrapheap of history.

The Romans, the Greek Byzantines, the Sassanids, the Arabs, the Crusaders, the Mamlukes, the Turks, and the English.

The Turks and the English once had great empires, but have lost them. The Arabs lived in poverty in Palestine, which was largely a wilderness or wasteland.

But the Jews finally made it back into Israel, and are world leaders in turning deserts into productive farmland. They are the only nation to be ejected from its homeland for 2000 years, and still manage to make a comeback. The only resurrection of a nation in world history.

After the first world war, Jews from around the world supported the Jewish settlers in Israel with mammoth investments and donations, which enabled them to buy up swamps and wasteland in Palestine from the Turkish owners at exorbitant prices. They drained the swamps, and turned desert areas into productive farmland.

The Wall Street stock exchange Jews of New York, and in Europe the Jewish Rothschild bankers (possibly the wealthiest family in the world), grant huge loans to countries and multinational business corporations, as well as supporting the modern state of Israel. The Jews have certainly used money wisely as they have become an essential component of world finance.  Their financial skills have helped them to survive  2 000 years of relentless persecution.

American Jewish money has played a large role in the survival of the state of Israel. In 1948 Golda Meir went to America to beg for 2 million dollars to fight the impending war with the Arabs, that would happen when Israel would declare their independence. Golda came back with 20 million dollars, which basically saved Israel.

Israel is the ultimate home to welcome Jewish refugees, that the guilt-ridden Gentile United Nations provided in 1947 as an act of compensation for the survivors of the awful Nazi holocaust of 1941-1945, when six million Jews died. Russia, under Stalin, played a leading role in establishing the state of Israel. This was very strange because Stalin hated Jews.

God uses whoever He wants to as He brings His great plan to pass.

LUKE 16:11   If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

By using their money talents to build up other countries, God has now allowed the Jews to finally build up Israel as their own home; a final place of safety where they can protect themselves. They have built up the barren wasteland, that the Turks owned, where the Arabs rented and lived in poverty, into a modern and very powerful nation by the judicious use of their incredible financial skills. The Jews have thus been able to use their impressive money talents to build up their own national home by buying land from the Turks, and conquering the rest from the Arabs who refused the United Nations' partition plan to divide Palestine into two states, giving the Arabs about 80% of the British mandate, which was called Transjordan, together with its well-equipped modern army led by British officers.  Rejecting the UN offer, the Arabs preferred to declare war with the aim of eliminating the Jews, and trying to claim 100% of the Palestine territory which was ruled by Britain.

The Jews won, and thereby fulfilled prophecy (which is truth) that they would be back in their homeland to stay.

AMOS 9:15   And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

Their true riches is the fact that they are back in their homeland waiting for Messiah.

LUKE 16:12   And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

If they were not faithful as bankers with other people's money, how could they be entrusted with their own homeland?

Now that they have fought their way back in their promised land against huge odds, God is preparing them for their main spiritual purpose, which is to receive their Messiah during the great Tribulation. This is the greatest treasure that the Jews will ever receive.

The steward gave back half the oil (50%) but only 20,% of the wheat (as the debtor had to write a bill for 80,% of what he owed).

The Jews only had enough of God's Spirit for the Old Testament, which was half (50%) of God's plan. Then they lost out.

The 1947 United Nations partition plan only gave them 20% of the territory of the British Palestine mandate.  The rest they had to win by fighting the Arabs who declared war on them.

LUKE 16:13   No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Serving the pursuit of wealth easily becomes the main concern in our lives, rather than the pursuit of the kingdom of God, which is the revelation of the truth in the Bible.

First, the Jews survived with their focus on wealth, which would finally result in them returning to their promised land.

During this stage they put money first and God second.

Their focus was on profits.

During the great Tribulation their attitude will change. Then it will be God first, when Messiah returns to save them.

This will be as a result of the preaching of two prophets (Moses and Elijah).

LUKE 16:15   And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

The Jews (and the rest of us) justify money making as our main reason for being on earth. People are impressed by wealth. But God sees things very differently.

There is a spiritual plan that God wants to produce at the end time, and money making is not God's purpose.

As the Jews return to their promised land, so God wants the Gentile church to return back to the beliefs of the New Testament church. These are the beliefs that Moses and Elijah will take back to Israel.

LUKE 16:16   The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

As the Jews have had a tough time during the church ages, so the Christians can also expect to have a tough time.

The Law was a shadow or outline of the New Testament faith. Jesus was the reality of that shadow. The prophets foretold the coming of Messiah. John was the last of the prophets, because in his day Jesus came as the Messiah. Now God wants to dwell in human hearts that He has changed. But is not easy to be a Christian. Each individual has to try hard to serve God's purpose on earth, without being fooled by man-made doctrines, religious traditions and the opinions of human leadership. It is also hard not to be fooled into believing that our main reason for being on earth is to get rich. In addition, the Devil opposes anyone who gets closer to the truth by causing extra family, finance, health or job problems. You have to press hard to progress slowly, step by step, into God's great plan for our age.

LUKE 16:17   And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Nothing that is written in the Bible is false. We need to believe every word. Very few people can do this. Most Christians obey certain portions of the Bible, but disregard other portions of the Bible. Never believe that there is a mistake in the Bible. Never believe that two Scriptures contradict each other. Never believe that any Scripture is unimportant.

Scientists do not know what 95% of our DNA does, but sensible scientists realize that this 95% is not junk DNA as some people claim, but is still unknown because of our present stage of human ignorance. One day we will know more about it. In the meanwhile we know that it has some value, and we keep searching to understand it better.

Equally, all Scripture is true. If you do not understand it now, search harder and be prepared to listen to others. Sometime the answer will be revealed if you keep seeking the answer.
II TIMOTHY 3:16   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Doctrine teaches us truth. Reproof tells us what we do wrong. Correction straightens our thinking when we misunderstand or misinterpret Scripture.  Righteouness makes us better people.

Now Luke writes about one of the biggest mistakes in the churches.

LUKE 16:18   Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

There is no such thing as divorce, and re-marriage while the marriage partner is still living. The marriage vow stands until "death us do part". Nothing can break that vow once it has been legally made.

Here, in their compromise with the world so that they can remain popular and friendly, the churches have made a huge mistake. All the so-called re-marriages are simply a couple that are living in adultery. They will have to answer for this on Judgement day. The religious leaders who remarried them will have to give an account on Judgement day. On that day things will not go well for any of them.
JAMES 4:4   Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

The next parable, of a rich man and a beggar, shows that everything in Heaven is upside down compared to what we see on earth.

LUKE 16:19   There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

:20   And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

:21   And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

:22    And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

:23   And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

As soon as he was dead the rich man suddenly became very religious, and now wanted to be in the company of the beggar. But it was too late.

There was no way out. The line had been crossed.

He then asked for someone to rise from the dead to warn his brothers. Suddenly he was very evangelical. Just when it was too late.

LUKE 16:29   Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

:30   And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

:31   And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

A chilling reminder. If we cannot now believe the New Testament truths of the early church, then when the early church rises from the dead and appears to us, we will still not be able to believe what they say. Because they will only say what is written in the Bible. Thus we will not be caught up with them to Heaven.

Luke Chapter 17

LUKE 17:1   Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

Human beings make mistakes in what we do and in what we believe. But we are sadly so convinced that we have got it right, and thus do not need correction. If we were less puffed up with our own knowledge and self-importance, we would check more carefully what it is that we believe, but most of us do not. We hang onto our old ideas. We desperately hang onto the cozy comfort zone of believing what our church leaders say, so that we do not have to think for ourselves. Thus, on certain issues we are going to get it wrong, and heaven help us when we do get it wrong, as we are convinced that our errors are right and therefore we cannot be corrected. Pride means we do not believe that we could be wrong, and we thus refuse to believe that there is anyone outside our church group who can correct us. There are 30 000 different kinds of denomination, all of which are convinced that they are right. So a lot of Christians are obviously fooled.

One day we will pay for our errors and ignorance of Scripture. In the meanwhile we ignore correction from anyone not in our chosen group. Governments pay an opposition to criticize them, but churches and Christians do not have enough sense to do that. That is why Christians learn so little as the years go by.

Christians do not have a ten year learning experience in a church. They have a one year learning experience that is repeated ten times. We are like frogs in a little puddle of knowledge. If the puddle is small enough, it can make us feel like big frogs.

LUKE 17:2   It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

The huge number of different churches means that error is rampant in Christian circles. After all, the 30 000 different kinds of denominational beliefs are all different. Preachers happily claim that there are mistakes in the Bible. So the end-time children cannot be restored back to the apostolic fathers of the early church because they are taught that the apostolic fathers made mistakes. In other words, we think we know better than the apostles who wrote the New Testament.

In addition, we teach our children that the doctrine of evolution is true, and that we come from animals. What an insult to God Who made us in His image. Scientists have sought for 160 odd years to find the missing link between man and monkey. They furiously disagree with each other on details, but all agree on one fact: the missing link is still missing. No decent scientific theory can be built on a fact that is missing. Thus evolution is a hoax.

Evolution says that the monkey made a man out of himself. The Bible says that man made a 'monkey' out of himself. You decide who is right.

We teach our children that Genesis is just some "primitive", and not very accurate, attempt to explain creation in the pre-scientific "age of ignorance" that did not believe in the Big Bang. But top scientists like Nobel prize winner Steven Weinberg and Allan Guth, who once championed and developed the Big Bang theory, are now distancing themselves from it. The Big Bang never predicted Dark Energy and Dark Matter, about which scientists know nothing.  Dark Energy and Dark matter make up 96% of the universe. So that is a huge chunk of the universe that scientists cannot explain. Thus scientists are not nearly as clever as they think they are, as the best scientist cannot get more than 4% for a test on the origin of what is in the universe. 4%  is nowhere near a pass mark. Anyone who only knows 4% of a subject would be advised to keep their mouths closed.

One day we will pay a heavy price for our pseudo-scientific arrogance.
I TIMOTHY 6:20   O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

At the end time, we modern Christians are the spiritual children who must return to the Bible beliefs of the New Testament apostolic fathers who wrote the New Testament. A seed is planted, and the plant then grows through different stages, but at the end it produces the same seed that was planted in the early church. Then it is time for the harvest. When the church gets back to the New Testament beliefs, Jesus will come.

Christians who criticize an individual for wanting to be Scriptural are stopping God's restoration plan. Christians, who justify their ignorance by claiming that the Bible questions that they cannot answer are not important, are also a stumbling block to progress. Children are very curious. We all need to be asking questions and searching for answers. Otherwise we are not spiritual children.

LUKE 17:3   Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Rebuke a Christian for being wrong, but forgive him when he repents.

We all have wrong beliefs and do things wrong. So we all need forgiveness. And we should all be zealous to repent. We all need to learn, unlearn, and relearn. We all know far less than what we think we do, as we are easily fooled by church traditions. Why else would we believe that the wise men went into a stable when Matthew chapter 2 said that they went into a house. They did not see a Baby, they saw a young Child. We all need to pray for eyesalve in order to see a clearer revelation of the truths in the Bible.

MATTHEW 2:11   And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother,

LUKE 17:4   And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Luke is trying to tell us that we all make many mistakes and need to be zealous to repent. So do not hold it against someone else who makes many mistakes if they are repentant. In our last church age we all have far more ignorance and error than what we realize. Seven times a day reflects the idea of seven, which implies that all the errors of seven church ages have been unleashed in our final church age. We are living in the most deceptive age ever, and we foolishly believe that since we have need of nothing, we have no need of correction either.

LUKE 17:5   And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

:6   And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

We need faith. We need more faith. Faith comes from hearing the Word of God. Faith can enable the impossible to happen. We have to learn that the Bible is true, and we must learn to believe what is in the Bible. That alone is the foundation for our faith. We need to understand more of the Bible in order to gain more faith.

Luke now reveals a harsh truth about how ineffectual we actually are in comparison to Jesus.

Jesus said that a servant, who works for money, does his job, but cannot expect the master who pays him to fuss over him.

LUKE 17:7   But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

:8     And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

:9   Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

:10   So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

This is a key verse in Luke's Gospel.

As humans we must expect no thanks from God for serving Him.

God wants to dwell in us and direct our footsteps. So whatever we do right, it is actually God in us Who is doing the right thing, and thus we deserve no credit. In essence, we are like a motor car, and He is the Driver.

When you last got out of your car that had just taken you on a necessary journey, did you thank the car?

By God's standards we are not worth much. We are more of a nuisance than a help to Him.

Please remember that we are unprofitable to Him.

So by putting up with us, God makes no profit, which means that we are causing Him to actually make a loss. We do more harm to His kingdom than what we do right.

Hopefully this will deflate each ego.

But you may think that you did certain things well for God. Perhaps you did. But in His Book you did many more things wrongly for Him, in pursuit of your own selfish gain, and in the spreading of the errors in your beliefs. When it is all added up, we do more wrong than right. That is why we show no profit. That is why we need a prophet to straighten us out.

Ten lepers approached Jesus and He healed them. But only one turned back to say, "Thank You".

Luke emphasizes how naturally ungrateful we humans are. What God does for us, we just take for granted.

We complain often but seldom give thanks.

LUKE 17:15   And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

:16   And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

Luke, who favours the Gentiles, gets in a sharp rebuke against the Jews by emphasizing that the only one who returned to say thanks was not a Jew.

LUKE 17:17   And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

:18   There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

Luke shows that the favourites, the Jews, did not perform well. A stranger, that the Jews would ignore, was the one who pleased Jesus.

:19   And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

LUKE 17:20   And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

There are no outward visible signs that indicate the presence of God's kingdom. So Christians who regard their visible wealth and ostentatious lifestyle as a proof of God's blessing are fooling themselves. The world's richest people are not Christians.

Having the biggest church is impressive to look at. But, because it can be observed, it is no proof that the church is correct or part of God's kingdom.

LUKE 17:21   Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The kingdom of God is not visible. So it is neither political success, nor the accumulation of wealth, nor the gaining of some elevated position.

God's kingdom is when He dwells in the human heart and makes us die to ourselves.

He can only increase in the control of our lives as we decrease in the control of our lives.

As we become weaker, He becomes stronger. The kingdom of God is the inner struggle to give Him our self-will so that He can replace it with God's will. As we become nothing, He becomes something.

The kingdom of God is basically to get us to believe and follow what is written in the Bible.

You do not have to be anywhere specifically on earth. The kingdom will not appear in one certain place. You do not need to move to some specific place. You just have to be a Bible believer. You need to find your place in the Word of God. Do not look for God somewhere outside of yourself. Your contact with God will only happen within yourself. Your thinking must change. You contact God in your mind. God is a Spirit, and your mind is a spirit that somehow thinks using your brain cells.

LUKE 17:22   And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

"Son of man" speaks of a prophet. A Gentile prophet will be needed to restore the last church back to the doctrines of the first church. The disciples would not see this event as it would happen almost two thousand years later. But they would be laying the foundation of the New Testament that the end time prophet would restore us back to.

LUKE 17:23   And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

But do not get too excited about believers running around and trying to get you to follow themselves, or to follow a man.

God does not come as a great cloud in the desert of Arizona.  So you do not have to be there.

The end time prophet cannot add to the Scripture --  he can only reveal what is already written.

So do not regard his quotes as being equal or more important than Scripture. He can only point you to what is written in Scripture. So do not follow a man. Follow the Scriptures that he points you to. Only believe what a man says if you can prove his revelation from the Bible verses that refer to a specific topic.

At the end, the world is being connected by the internet. Amongst all the error that is on the internet, there will be sites where people can still find truth. So individuals can learn truth wherever they happen to be. Cell phones and computers can download all the information needed to prepare us for the Lord's Coming. Somewhere, there will be sites that expose the current fashionable and popular errors that are not proven from Scripture. You can learn what you need to know of the Bible from the world wide web.

There are web sites where truth is presented.

There are web sites where you can send in your questions to and they will be answered.

There are web sites where error is exposed.

As an individual you can find all the information that you need on the internet.

An electric 'rain' pours down from the satellites in orbit. In there you can find the former or Bible teaching rain that will help you prepare for the latter or harvest rain, when the Lord Jesus collects His bride, which is the Bible-believing church.

Thus there is no need for you to move from one place to another place.

There is no person or church that can claim a monopoly on truth.

You, with a cellphone or computer, can download as much true information as any other person or group can do. But you have to diligently seek for the truth, and God will guide you.

LUKE 17:24   For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

Lightning is moving light.

Cain went east and demonology (the kings of the east) was established there. These armies of demons are now flooding into the western world to deceive us.
GENESIS 4:16   And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
REVELATION 16:12   And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

:13   And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

:14   For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The Euphrates was the border of the promised land. The river drying up symbolizes that as the water of the Word dries up, then the way for demonology is opened. As we forsake Scripture, the Devil takes us over.

The dragon is the Devil. The beast is the political-religious power of the Roman Catholic church. The false prophet is the prophet of a false religion that is unscriptural, the Pope. These three have produced the doctrine of the Trinity. The Trinity is the major doctrine that is performing a spiritual miracle today, the uniting of the churches. There is very little else that the churches agree on. The uniting of the churches under the leadership of Rome brings all the Christians in the church systems into the great Tribulation. The saved Christians that are left behind and go into the great Tribulation will all die. At the end of the Tribulation, when all the saved Christians have been destroyed, Christ will return for the battle of Armageddon.

According to God's plan, in the Middle East the light of God's Word was revealed by Jesus and the apostles in the early church.

Most of this light got lost in the Dark Ages.

After the Dark Ages, Martin Luther in Germany brought back the light of salvation by grace through faith. This is called Justification. Then the Gospel light moved further west to England where John Wesley further illuminated Christians with the revelation of holiness and evangelical outreach. This is called Sanctification. Then the Gospel light moved further west to America where the Pentecostal revival of the Holy Ghost baptism illuminated the workings of the supernatural gifts of God. Then in America, because that is as far west as we can go,  this move of the Holy Spirit must culminate in a prophetic teaching ministry that reveals the mystery of God, Who is the Word. The light of this revealed Scripture will be just like the light of the early church. "Son of man" speaks of Christ using a prophetic ministry which will guide the last church age back to the beliefs of the first church age.

It is essential that we learn to worship God both in Spirit and in the Truth of the Bible.
JOHN 4:24    God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

LUKE 17:25   But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

But truth will not be established without suffering and rejection. The Jews must reject the truth, and kill Jesus. Hardly anyone stood for Jesus at Calvary, which was His First Coming.

So it will be no surprise to find that the end-time church will also reject the revealed truth of the Bible, because only by believing what is in the Bible can we go back to the first church age beliefs.

LUKE 17:26   And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

:27   They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Hardly anyone stood for the preaching of Noah. Virtually everyone rejected him. Only eight people in the whole world entered the ark and got saved. This is a very scary symbol of the end time church. Very few will make it.

So, according to the comparison with Noah's day, the end time prophetic or "son of man ministry" will end up with hardly anyone believing in the Bible. Man-made doctrines based on quotes and church traditions will be rampant. Who will actually believe what is written in the Bible? Very few.

Then the great Tribulation will set in like a flood. This time it will be fire, not water. The nuclear bombs are already built and waiting.

LUKE 17:28   Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

:29   But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Again, a scary comparison with an age when very few made it. Only three people left Sodom. Lot and his two daughters. So hardly anyone got saved from that fire that symbolize the great Tribulation that is coming at the end of the last church age.

Fire came down from heaven above. In the future Tribulation, aeroplanes will drop nuclear bombs from the air. Intercontinental ballistic missiles will rain down nuclear bombs from above. These explode several hundred metres above the ground in order to get a maximum spread of their blast, shock wave, and fire storm. It will literally rain fire. All the saved Christians who miss the catching away of the church, and are thus are left behind in the great Tribulation, will die.
REVELATION 13:15   And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Saved Christians, the sleeping virgins, will refuse to worship the image of the beast. Then they will be killed.

This is the second beast referred to in Chapter 13.  The first beast (or power) is the world wide Roman Catholic church. The "he" in the above verse refers to the American political beast or power that rose up in the last century (the Laodicean church age) to dominate the world in the military and financial realms. The power of this American beast is its massive financial power. Nine out of ten of the world's full time Christian workers are in America. American money supports church systems world wide. This money is the life blood of religious organizations that pays for the people who keep the system alive.

In the great Tribulation the beast that will take over the world is the Roman Catholic denominational church system. The image of the beast is the Protestant and non-denominational church systems that imitate Rome by also building up an international religious church organization that is heavily involved in politics and big money. Remember Judas who went for the money.

The churches make a big mistake when they claim that, if we repent and accept Jesus as our personal Saviour, then we will miss the great Tribulation. No. Repentance saves us from Hell. There were wise virgins and sleeping virgins who were clean women that symbolized saved church believers. But only the wise virgins met the Bridegroom, Jesus. The sleeping virgins are saved from hell, but they have to die in the great Tribulation.

How wise are you?

How much of your beliefs can you prove just by using Bible verses?

Very few Christians can prove what they believe from the Bible. There is much in the Bible that Christians cannot explain.

Adam and Eve committed the same sin. God said to Adam "Because you have done this, your punishment is ...".

But to Eve He gave no explanation. He never said "Because".  Why not?

They both committed the same sin but got two very different punishments. Why?

God made all the trees on the third day, and said all were good. So why was there a bad tree in Eden?

Matthew traces a bloodline for Jesus from David to Joseph. Luke does a similar blood line, but uses different names and has 13 extra generations between David and Joseph -- Why?

Seven churches are mentioned in the Book of Revelation by the names of their cities. Six are mentioned by their usual names. But the city of Pergamum is called Pergamos, which is its Greek name. Why does this one church have a Greek version for its name, when the other six churches do not?

Modern Christianity sits with huge gaps in our knowledge of Scripture. We need an end time prophet to straighten us out.

We think we know a lot, and are so puffed up with our Bible knowledge that we feel we need no outside help.

But arrogance easily puffs up ignorance.

LUKE 17:30   Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

When the end time prophet reveals the hidden mysteries in the Bible, very few will take his teachings back to the Bible, and prove that what he preached can be proven by linking Bible verses together. Only the few who do that will escape the fiery Tribulation that is coming to burn up the errors and evil of our age.

The biggest enemy of Christianity is denominational "churchianity". People say,"I belong to my church. I believe what my church says. So when the church says something different to the Bible, which all churches do, then I believe my church and ignore what the Bible says". That is the attitude of "churchianity". It is a deep emotional opposition to acknowledging the errors in the church. We do not want to admit that this kind of problem exists. We cling to our fashionable delusions, and are dangerously ignorant of our own ignorance.

LUKE 17:31   In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

In the last church age Jesus stands outside the church door and knocks. He asks for individuals to invite Him in, not the whole church. Luke also refers to an individual who escapes from the modern trap of "churchianity". Being on top of the house he can see further than the others in his church. Or an individual out in the field, which is symbolic of evangelical work. Having seen the errors in the organization, the individual must escape the man-made thinking and doctrines of the church.

We, as individuals, need to get away from the traditional mind set and emotional opinions of our churches. We may choose to remain attending the church services, but have leave the all the man-made stuff that they taught us. Leave it behind, and stay clear of the denominational ideas, opinions, and traditions. You can no longer afford consensus with all the ideas of a pastor-dominated church. Once you see that the Bible alone has truth, then you can no longer regard human quotes as equal to Scripture. You will lose interest in following some man, because that way you end up being unable to prove your beliefs from Scripture. You will never again begin to criticize anyone who expects you to stay with the written Bible.

Moving from one pastor dominated assembly to another pastor dominated assembly will not solve your problems, as you leave one bunch of mistakes to replace them with other different mistakes. The organizational structures and ideas of our churches do not properly follow the New Testament pattern.

The word "pastor" is only mentioned once in the New testament, so this ministry certainly did not dominate the early churches. No Scripture said that a shepherd is the pastor. Pastors claim to be the shepherd of the sheep. That makes the pastor into a superior species. A human is far superior to any animal. But elevation of a man is nicolaitanism, that conquers the laity or congregation. God hates this.

LUKE 17:32   Remember Lot's wife.

She looked back to what she had. She did not make a clean break with her past thinking as she was scared to start all over again. She wanted to have what she had in the past.

We loved human leadership and domination in the past. So if we try to escape from unscriptural beliefs we must stay with the Bible, even when the church leaders preach error, or we will die spiritually just like Lot's wife. A woman represents a church. She tried to escape from some errors, but looked back to other errors that she still wanted.

LUKE 17:33   Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

You can fellowship in a church, which obviously has some measure of truth that can benefit you, but you are not going to find the full truth in any church group. You need to search for deeper truth on your own, outside your church structure. Trying to agree with the errors of the preachers and the church that made you unable to prove your beliefs from Scripture in the first place, may make you feel safe in that holy huddle of cozy consensus, but you are heading for death in the Tribulation.

Rather let them condemn you for disagreeing with them. The 'rejects' of the churches are the ones who will make it.

Jesus now emphasizes that very few will make it for the catching away of the church, which is going to happen at some instant in time. He refers to three different times of the day: sleeping, preparing food for a meal, and working in a field.

But at any moment, three different times of the day would refer to three different parts of the world. Again, according to this parable, it is only individuals who go, not groups. Three different parts of the world, and only one individual will be taken from each part. That does not sound like there are many people who will make it. We need to be very careful as most people are going to be left behind.

LUKE 17:34   I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

:35   Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

:36   Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

:37   And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

The Lord's body is His true church, made up from the hearts of men and women who believe the revealed Scripture, which is our spiritual meat. Eagles have a clear eyesight that magnifies details. Christ is the Word. He is the bread of life. The true church, which is the body of the Lord, lives by eating the doctrines that are symbolized by the bread or the meat of the body of the Lord, which is the Bible. Thus the true church must be a Bible-believing church.

So where must we be in order to be taken away from the wrath to come? In the Word of God.

Believing every Scripture and being able to prove what we believe from Scripture verses.
JOHN 6:51   I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
I CORINTHIANS 11:23   For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

:24   And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Spiritual eagles have a clear insight into the Word of God. They do not need  to cover their ignorance by dismissing any Bible questions and passages as being unimportant. They see meanings in Scripture that the sleeping virgins cannot explain. Their lamps burn oil, and produce light which illuminates the Bible verses. The lamps that have no oil produce no light, and thus the meaning of the Bible verses cannot be seen. So the church leaders who cannot answer so many basic Bible questions have no light in their lamps. Thus they cannot guide the wise virgins to the Second Coming, but they can keep the sleeping virgin asleep.

Eagles have sharp beaks, to rip the meat of God's Word into pieces that can be eaten (understood).

Eagles can also fly high, which symbolizes the catching up of the church.

Luke Chapter 18

Jesus spoke of a woman who kept pestering a judge for justice. Eventually the judge said

LUKE 18:5   Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

:6   And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

:7   And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

So persistence is a virtue that Jesus compliments.

LUKE 18:8   I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.

Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

When Jesus returns, will He find faith? Not much. This is one of the saddest Scriptures.

Very few believe the Bible. People are more impressed with church traditions and man-made doctrines.

Jesus then described two men praying.

LUKE 18:9   And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

:10   Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

:11   The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

:12   I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

God is not interested in us telling Him how good we think we are. God is not impressed with human self-justification.

LUKE 18:13   And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

:14   I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

God is only impressed when we make an open confession of our sins and shortcomings.

God thinks oppositely to us. If we think we are good, He will chop us down to size.

If we acknowledge that we are not worth much, He will help us up.

LUKE 18:15   And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

:16    But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

:17   Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

At the end time, the children must be restored back to the faith of the apostolic fathers. We children must get back to Jesus, Who is the Word of God. A little child has complete faith and trust in his father to protect, guide, and provide for him. A little child does not need to listen to anyone else. So we as the spiritual little children of the end time need no other guidance than what our apostolic fathers wrote for us in the New Testament.

LUKE 18:18   And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

:19   And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

Humans are a mixture of good and evil.  Only God is good. So by calling Jesus "good", this man was admitting that Jesus was God.

This man had kept the ten commandments.

LUKE 18:22   Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

:23   And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

:24   And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

:25   For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Again, Jesus hammers home the point that wealth is not our purpose of being on earth. The rich man could not leave his wealth. He preferred money to God.

We can only get into Heaven by putting Jesus first. The rich put their money first. So money is a barrier and an obstacle on their path to Heaven. Please do not be fooled by the prosperity doctrine. God's real blessings are spiritual.

God's main purpose for our lives is to restore us back to the New Testament faith of the apostles.

LUKE 18:26   And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

:27   And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

So only God can save us, but under the condition that we put Him first.

Peter indicates the need to leave everything in order to follow Jesus.

LUKE 18:28   Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

:29   And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

:30   Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

We must be prepared to leave our family for God's sake. He has to be our first love, not just a casual acquaintance.

Our real reward is in Heaven. But on earth we will still have a reward. Here we must be careful that we do not just think in terms of physical things. By opening our eyes to the mysteries that are hidden in Scripture, God is giving us an amazing spiritual reward. But all too often, we prefer a physical reward to a spiritual reward. We must let God reward us as He sees fit.

Luke describes how a blind individual gained his sight. This is symbolic of each of us being able to see the revelation of the meaning of Scripture.

LUKE 18:35   And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

:36   And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

:37   And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

:38   And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

:39   And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Son of David is the title that Jesus will have in the Millennium as the King. The blind man thus had his Scriptural facts wrong, so Jesus could not help him. Jesus was not impressed by the fact that the man knew something about the Scripture. Jesus was switched off by the fact that the man misunderstood the Scripture.

LUKE 18:40   And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

:41   Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

Now he called Jesus "Lord", which was correct. Now Jesus could help him.

LUKE 18:42    And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

:43    And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

We need our spiritual sight -- The ability to see what the Bible means.

The lesson is that we must be able to clearly see what the Bible says, and not muddle it up. If you see the theory of the Big Bang in Genesis Chapter 1, then you are blind to what the Bible actually is saying.

The Big Bang has creation starting with a flash of light in an explosion that makes space and time. This is a guess as no one knows what time is, much less how it is created. No known explosion has ever created any time.

But creation in the Bible does not start with a flash of light.

Genesis starts with God first creating the heaven and the earth in the beginning. No time span is mentioned as God was still operating in eternity where time does not exist. The sun, moon, and stars were all created first. The earth was covered in water, which had evaporated to form a dense layer of cloud. Under this dense layer of cloud there was darkness upon the face of the deep waters. The sun was already there above the dense layer of clouds. The clouds  stopped the sunlight reaching the earth's surface. Then God began to move.

God spoke and said,"Let there be light". The spoken Word of God dispersed the thick clouds around the earth so that the sunlight could now reach the surface of the earth. The earth saw the glorious light of the sun for the first time. This was the first day, Sunday, when God began to allocate time to what He was doing.

A human is a handful of dust. So God deals with us as He did with the earth.

To begin with we were covered in a layer of water in our mother's womb. But we had a thick cloud of unbelief around our souls, which is why we were born in sin. Then some time later in our lives God spoke, and if we believed and repented, the unbelief around our souls was dispersed, and the light of God's Word for the first time was able to reach our souls. Then only could we rejoice in the glorious light of the Son of God, and see what an amazing Saviour He is. But ever since our birth He had always been there as Saviour. It is just that only when we repented that we were able to see that fact for the first time. Then our new life, as a child of God, began at that time as we started to walk in the light of God's Word.

Being able to see the revealed Word of God is the greatest proof that we, like the blind individual, have been in the presence of Christ, Who alone can change us from being unbelievers to believers.

Luke Chapter 19

The publicans were often tax collectors, who mercilessly squeezed extra money out of the people for themselves, and thus became rich. In Jericho a short publican, Zacchaeus, climbed a tree to see Jesus, who was surrounded by a crowd. Jesus called him down and went to his house, which shocked everyone that He would visit such a sinner

LUKE 19:8   And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

:9    And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

:10    For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

The rich Zacchaeus offered to give away half his money, and more than restore any money he had wrongly squeezed out of any person.

Luke hereby shows the influence that Jesus had on a rich man who immediately wanted to be honest and share his wealth with the poor. Meeting Jesus, the ideal Man, makes us take our eyes off ourselves and makes us considerate of others.

Luke now tells a hard lesson.  A nobleman went far away to get a kingdom for himself. He left servants to look after what he owned. But the people there hated the nobleman and did not want him to rule over them. He left his servants each with one pound.

Jesus was speaking of when He would go to Heaven to prepare a place for us, but left us Christians to evangelize and preach the truth to a world that basically hates truth, and does not want to be subject to Jesus.

LUKE 19:11   And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

They were looking for Jesus to immediately set up a Jewish kingdom on earth by getting rid of the Romans who ruled them. They were basically looking for a political kingdom in the near future.

There was confusion over the appearing of the Lord.  Jesus had to go away first for seven church ages. Then at His Second Coming, He will appear to us after He has raised the dead, and changed our vile bodies into eternal bodies like unto His own.
I JOHN 2:28   And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

He is the Word. Only those who have been restored back to the New Testament faith will be changed. The rest of the saved Christians will be very ashamed of their denominational "churchianity" when they realize that they have been left behind.
I JOHN 3:2   Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

When Jesus returns, He will put the true believers into new bodies.

:12   He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

Jesus speaks of the nobleman going far away. Thus it would be a long time before he returned. There was going to be no quick fix . "A far country" implies a spiritual kingdom of the millenium that is run on principles that are far above the greed and selfishness and hatreds of our earthly kingdoms.

:13   And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Christians were given the New Testament to live by. We were not told to change anything in the New Testament, just to occupy and keep it as the apostles wrote it, until Jesus returns. The Bible is the basic resource that God has given to Christians so that they can take Scriptural salvation and Bible truths to the people.

:14   But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

But the people of the world hate being in subjection to the Bible. Eventually church systems were set up that only kept bits of the Bible, and rejected other parts. Human rights rose up, and people demanded to be able to live for their own lusts and selfish desires that suited themselves. Why must they be restricted by the Bible that had too many rules that curbed human behaviour. People wanted scientific theories of evolution to prove they came from animals, and not God. A massive unknown explosion of the Big Bang was a clever guess, which meant that the universe did not need a God to create it. Having no need for God in their lives, people's morals deteriorated until they revelled in disgusting practices.

Pagan beliefs and traditions were cleverly infiltrated into Christian doctrines. The church became married to politics and the pursuit of wealth. Hundreds of Bible translations successfully blur the original truths of the New Testament. People rejected the idea of believing what was written in the Bible. If Luke said that the wise men went into a house, then people changed that to them going into a stable. The Bible never told us to celebrate His birth, but we "know better" now, so we make this the main Christian festival of the year. Are we not very clever? We are telling God what we want to do. We will even tell Him when we want to do it, on 25 December. God must be so impressed with our brilliant ideas as we worship Him our way, and thus we can call ourselves Christians, even when we change what is in the Bible. Jeremiah Chapter 10 told us not to cut down a tree and decorate it with gold and silver, but we know better. Everyone loves our christmas trees.

Jeremiah said we should not do it. Why must he tell us what to do? We are the modern clever age.
JEREMIAH 10:2   Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

(Signs of the zodiac -- Your stars foretell your future. Many Christians believe this)

:3   For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

:4   They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

So Christians have moved away from the Bible, and the Scripture no longer rules over us. We are "liberated".

But then, sadly, Jesus returns and holds us to account. He wants to know what we have done with His New Testament beliefs on which He founded the first church age.

He returns for the harvest. The seed that is harvested at the end is identical to the seed that was planted in the beginning, in the first church age that wrote the New Testament.

LUKE 19:15   And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

:16   Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

:17   And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

This servant had restored many to the New Testament beliefs and he would rule many cities in the millennium.

:18   And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

:19   And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

This servant had restored fewer back to the original beliefs of the apostles but this was still good and he would also rule cities in the millennium, although not as many as the first servant who had tried harder.

LUKE 19:20   And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:

You sent a prophet as the seventh church age messenger to finish the mystery of God by restoring us back to the Biblical teachings of the first church age. But the churches do not agree with that, so in order to remain popular and not upset them, I just kept all the revelations of the truth wrapped up and hidden in a table napkin that is used at meal times. That way I secured my meal ticket from the churches, because I only told them what they wanted to hear.

LUKE 19:21   For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

An austere man; A strict man. Stay with the Bible just the way it is written. But this servant knew that people did not like that.

The Lord refuses to compromise with the modern age of religious pleasure and disco music entertainment in the churches. The Lord would not accept baptism in three titles of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost when He required a Name. The apostles told us that the name was Jesus Christ, but if we say that then we will be unpopular with the churches who do not want to be restored to the teachings of the apostles.

The Lord is a hard teacher and simply rejects the word Trinity because it is not in the Bible. And that really upsets the churches. So the third servant never upset anyone, and never told anyone the basic truths of the New Testament.

LUKE 19:22   And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

God is hard. God took Saul, who had been trained for many years by the Jews until he was mentally matured as the top Pharisee, and then God captured him and changed him to Paul, who became the top Christian and the main enemy of the Pharisees. The Devil complained that God was not playing fair.

God is hard. The Catholic church trained up Martin Luther to be their best and most courageous monk, and then God took him from them and used him to undermine the Roman Catholic system that had developed his talents. The Devil could only mutter that this was again very unfair.

God is hard. King Henry VIII was a bad man who married six times and killed two wives. The Roman Catholic church refused to allow him to divorce and remarry, which was the correct (Biblical) decision. So Henry separated from the Roman church for all the wrong reasons, in order to divorce and re-marry, and made England a Protestant nation in the process. The terribly unjust anger of this wicked king thus achieved God's will in making England Protestant. Satan muttered about unfairness.

Hitler killed six million Jews in the second World War because he hated them and wanted to exterminate them. This made the world briefly feel sorry for the Jews, and the United Nations voted in 1947 to give them a homeland in Palestine. So thanks to all the evil that Hitler did, the Jews got a homeland. Both Hitler and Satan muttered that this was very unfair.

So God will use the good or the bad to achieve His purpose.

God is hard and strict. He wants to rule our lives His way. He is not interested in our opinions and our desires to compromise. He wants us to obey His Bible just the way it is written. He has a precise end-time plan that needs to fit together like clockwork, and we are of no use to Him unless each of us becomes an obedient cog in His complex operation.

LUKE 19:23   Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

Giving the money to the bank would have enabled someone else to use it profitably. If he wasn't prepared to do anything himself, why did he not back and help someone else who was prepared to restore people back to the Bible faith of the early church?

Now Luke records a very hard principle whereby God deals with us.

The world knows this as "What you do not use, you lose".

What does this mean spiritually?

The end time prophet taught us to take his revelations back to Scripture, and prove his ideas by lining up the relevant Bible verses.

LUKE 19:24  And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

LUKE 19:25   (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

LUKE 19:26  For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

If God has given you a deeper insight into Scripture, and you respond to that and try to help others  to get more Scriptural, then God will reveal even more to you.

But if God reveals something to you and you do nothing with it, God will take that understanding away from you and leave you in even deeper error than what you were.

God will then focus on giving even more insight to those who already see more of the mysteries.

LUKE 19:27   But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Those saved Christians of today, who do not regard the Bible as their absolute, and who are thus not restored back to the faith that inspired the apostles and the early church, will go to their deaths in the great Tribulation. Why? They would not allow the Bible to rule their lives.

LUKE 19:28   And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

At His First Coming, Jesus was focused on getting to Jerusalem for the Passover so that He could die for the sins of both Jew and Gentile. At His Second Coming Jesus will remove His Gentile church, and is again focused on Jerusalem as He is getting the Jews back into their homeland of Israel so that He can reveal Himself to them as their Messiah.

World events spin around Israel as the last church age finishes. The German holocaust from 1941 - 1945, when six million Jews were gassed in concentration camps in Poland, aroused world guilt to the extent that the United Nations offered them a small homeland in Israel to be shared with a much bigger Palestinian homeland. The Arabs rejected this offer and launched four wars to eliminate the Jews, and take all of Israel for themselves. God enabled the Jews to win, and thus by military conquest they enlarged their original small homeland. Syria, Hamas in Gaza, and Hezbollah in Lebanon formed a formidable opposition against Israel. So God organized a civil war in Syria that was so severe that President Assad of Syria asked for Hezbollah to help him in the struggle. So these two powerful enemies of Israel have been locked in a fierce struggle for many years, and thus they have been forced to leave Israel in peace.

Donald Trump came from nowhere to win the American presidency in 2016 because he offered to move the American consulate to Jerusalem, and thereby recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Watch Israel. They are God's clock to tell us what hour we are living in.

God is preparing to take His church to Heaven so that He can return to the Jews.
I CORINTHIANS 15:52   In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

A vicious and bitter struggle for power in the 2016 American election has had the word "Trump" in the headlines for months. He made many mistakes, and was outperformed by Hillary Clinton in the presidential debates.

But he symbolizes the trump (trumpet) of God that sounds at the time of the resurrection of the dead.

He also wants to help Israel get Jerusalem as their capital, despite furious Arab opposition. Thus he swept to power and proved the experts wrong who had written him off. The strong favourite, Clinton, lost.

This is a wake up call for the churches. A sign of the times.

The 30 000 different types of denominational and non-denominational churches that exist today all feel that they are God's favourites because they got saved, but they all reject the need to be strictly Scriptural. So when the dead rise from the seven church ages, the big church systems will lose out, and the "little flock" who were rejected, because they were restored back to the New Testament faith of the apostles, will go to the wedding supper in Heaven.
LUKE 12:32   Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Jesus then came back to Jerusalem in a totally unexpected manner.

He told His disciples to go to an unnamed little village that was not important in people's minds.

They were to bring a young donkey back. The owners of the donkey knew nothing about this, but agreed to the young donkey being used. The donkey carried Jesus into the city which was totally unprepared for His Coming.

The people were spontaneously happy to see Him. The religious leaders objected.

LUKE 19:29   And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

:30   Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

:31   And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

:32   And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.

:33    And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

:34   And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

:35   And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

:36   And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

:37   And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

:38   Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

:39   And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

:40   And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Once again it was the Pharisees, the religious leaders, who opposed what Jesus , the Word, was doing.

Today it is the church leaders who preach denominational doctrines and traditions that stop Christians being Scriptural.

"Churchianity" replaces Christianity. People say, "I believe what my church says, not what is written in the Bible".

LUKE 19:41   And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

:42   Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

Unbelief makes Jesus cry. Only faith in the Bible impresses Him.

Messiah had come, and Israel was on the verge of the millennium which is the thousand years of peace on earth with Jesus ruling as King. But the Jews were blinded by the preaching of their religious leaders. The Jews owed their loyalty to their synagogues, the Temple, and their religious leaders. If the Jewish leaders condemned Jesus, the Jews would follow their example and do likewise. Such is the futility of human leadership.

Similarly, if the church leaders condemn those who want to be strictly Scriptural, then the church members follow their example. Like the Jews, today's churches, despite accepting salvation and good works, reject being strictly Scriptural. And although their souls are saved from hell, yet their bodies head for destruction in the great Tribulation.

LUKE 19:43   For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

:44   And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

In AD 70 the Roman general Titus attacked Jerusalem. The Romans built a huge earth wall around Jerusalem. Then no one could escape. 1 100 000 Jews died, both young and old. The Temple was burnt down and then destroyed. The city was ruined and left desolate. The Jews had not realized the significance of having Jesus in their midst. Opposing Him was the biggest mistake that they could make. He was in their midst, but they did not realize Who He was.

The end time prophet has revealed the mystery of the last church going back to the New Testament beliefs of the first church. But the church world cannot grasp what has happened. So they carry on in their church traditions. We do not realize that He is in our midst as the written Word.

LUKE 19:45   And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

:46   Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Jesus could forsee that the churches would become big money in the future, which would cover Christianity in a cloud of shame. Jesus detested those people who used religion to became rich. Religious fat cats, with their snouts in the gravy train, made Him incredibly angry. But worship of gold and prosperity flourishes in the church world today.
MATTHEW 19:23   Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

There will be hardly any rich preachers or pastors in heaven. The richer the congregation, the harder it will be for them to make it.

LUKE 19:47   And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,

:48   And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

Ordinary people love Jesus and are prepared to believe His Word, the Bible.

The church leaders have been obsessed with destroying this dedication to the Bible.

They have prepared hundreds of different Bible versions so that people have the wrong ideas right from the start. Preachers readily admit that there are "mistakes" in the Bible. The Big Bang scientific theory is used by many churches to discredit the opening chapters of Genesis. The theory explains nothing about Dark Energy and Dark Matter, which make up 96% of the universe. Thus it is an almost totally useless theory that ignores the vast majority of physical reality.

Churches propagate the theory of evolution, that means that we come from animals. Then they complain that people behave like animals. They think that believing in evolution makes them so clever. But it is a total insult to God as man was made in the image of God. There was no death before Adam sinned. So having animals die over millions of years before sin entered is nonsense. Death is the penalty for sin.

The fossils formed in the great flood of Noah when they were pressurized by the almost nine kilometers of water that covered all the highest mountains of the earth. No fossils form today, even when scientists try to make them in a laboratory. Why? Bacteria and other agents of decay destroy them before any fossilization occurs. One of the earliest fossils is a trilobite, but a trilobite was discovered inside the fossilized footprint of a man's sandal or shoe by William Meister in 1968 near Delta, Utah. Thus the so-called fossil record is not millions of years old.

Foreign words like "Trinity", "one God in three Persons", and the "second Person of the Trinity" are inserted into church beliefs, despite being unscriptural, just like the word "Christmas" and the date of "25 December". The churches are so used to believing these unscriptural doctrines that they no longer take what is written in the Bible as their absolute.

So the church leaders have very successfully separated the people from the Bible. If you believe that the wise men went into the stable to see the Baby Jesus, then the church leaders have done their job well, because you no longer believe what is written in Scripture.
