Hebrews 7 Melchisedec is a preview of Jesus

Modern day preachers are elevated by pride and money. Jesus was elevated in suffering and sacrifice on the cross

We have to win the battle against sin and unbelief

HEBREWS 7:1   For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

Melchisedec (in Greek) is Melchizedek (in Hebrew). He is a mysterious Man in the Old Testament.

He met Abraham as a Priest. Abraham first had to win his victory over the enemy kings that had captured Lot who was Abraham's nephew.

We learn a lesson from God. He rewards us when we win the victory over sin. The enemies in the Old Testament are just various symbols representing sin and unbelief which are our real enemies in the New Testament.

In 2022 most of the nations admired the people of Ukraine for their heroic fight against the bigger and stronger forces of Russia. They were prepared to pay a high price for their freedom.

Battles are won in the hearts of men and women.

Ukraine's epic battle acted as a warning to us all. Ukraine sees Russia as the enemy. We see unbelief in the King James Bible and the threefold influence of deceptive pagan ideas, political involvement, and Big Money in the church as the enemies of Truth. If we want to be free from unbelief and pagan influences in our Christian walk then we also face a big spiritual struggle, not against people but against the modern-day churches’ unscriptural beliefs that are so widespread.

There are 45000 different kinds of churches and denominations in the world today. All different yet all claiming to be right. So, there is obviously a lot of error swirling through the churches. Like the isolated President Putin in 2022, each church is isolated in its own “group think” mindset of ideas. Move to another church and you have to embrace a different set of ideas and beliefs. Your beliefs are thus influenced by Geography, the accident of which church just happens to be near you. Thus, something is very wrong.

Like Putin, each church leader only listens to his yes-men who are all too scared to argue with him. Thus they tell him what he wants to hear. Hence his wrong decision to invade Ukraine.

In the same manner, church leaders stay with their unscriptural beliefs like Trinity and Christmas because they have brain-washed their people to believe in words that are not written in the Bible.

HEBREWS 7:2   To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

But after his victory, Abraham met God. You only pay your tithes (one tenth) to God. Nobody told Abraham to pay tithes. But when he stood in the presence of God he got this overwhelming urge to pay something back to God. People who do not pay tithes have obviously not stood in the presence of God.

Righteousness involves truth.

Now that Jesus lives in Heaven, the only truth that we have on earth is the King James Bible that tells us His thoughts because Jesus is the Word of God. What you think about the King James Bible is what you think about Jesus.

People began “correcting” the King James Bible and that process never stops. New versions and new editions of the Bible keep appearing and there are now more than 100 different versions of the English Bible. A further consequence of moving away from the King James Bible is that Christians today are emphatic that it is impossible to have a truly accurate Bible that has no mistakes and no contradictions. Thus they have no absolute foundation for their faith and are happy to change any words in the King James Bible that do not suit them. Especially when Christians decide that they have to be politically correct.

Any mixture of Christianity with politics is just corruption.

Thus, there is little peace in church circles when it comes to discussing Bible truths. Clutching different versions of the Bible that say different things means that there is no anchor for the soul.

Bad ideas that have crept into the churches

Look at some of the sinful, unscriptural ideas that the churches have accepted.

Churches accepted Evolution and the Big Bang.

Universities and schools teach children that we evolved from some unknown animal and then complain that children behave like animals.

The first law of Physics says that energy cannot be created. But then they contradict the first law by saying that all the energy was created in the Big Bang. When you contradict a law of Physics, then you are telling a lie. So the Big Bang is based on a lie.

Churches have now decided that Satan only exists if you want him to. Such foolishness.

The new idea today is that everyone has their own personal truth because they cannot rely on the Bible which they no longer regard as the Absolute and infallible Truth.

Many churches then deny the Virgin Birth and the physical Resurrection of Jesus.

They also deny that God wrote the entire Bible which is why you can change the Bible in various places. But different churches tend to make the changes in different places.

Many churches have degenerated into gay rights, and same-sex marriages, and even allow people to choose their own gender and thus change from male to female, or something else.

Thus, there is no more inner peace as people realize deep down that we do need Absolute standards after all.

For instance, the main Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox church, Kiril, accuses Ukraine of having Dark Forces and justifies President Putin’s 2022 attack. Destroying civilians and their homes and starving them into submission while the Russians also attack a maternity hospital and refugees, does not trouble Kiril’s beliefs. When the church justifies the wanton destruction and murder that is ordered by a vicious dictator like Putin, then inner peace is sadly missing. The involvement of the church in politics was a major error that Satan used to deceive the church. Religion and politics produce a toxic dance of death.

The Old Testament never allowed one man to be king and high priest. Politics and religion must be kept separate. No preacher can tell you how to vote. No politician can tell you how to pray.

Truth and righteousness are also missing. The world is simply not fit to govern itself.

We need Melchisedec as the only King who is fit to be High Priest too.

Who is he?

Melchisedec was never born and never died

HEBREWS 7:3   Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

How is this possible? He was never born and He never died.

“Without descent” means that there was no line of ancestors that He came from. Yet He is almost like Jesus, the Son of God.

And He remains the Priest forever.

To explain all this we have to see God picking up a handful of dust and creating a human Body. Then God stepped into that Body which was thus never born of a woman and therefore had no father or mother. As a result, He was not linked to any line of ancestors.

After speaking to Abraham, God then stepped out of the Body which immediately went back to being a handful of earth. There was no stage of rotting that happens when a person dies. Melchisedek was not Jesus because He appeared on the scene as an adult. Thus He was not a Kinsman Redeemer as He had never been born of a virgin and thus never had a childhood.

Yet Melchisedec was like the Son of God because the fulness of the Godhead dwelled in Him bodily. Just like the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Jesus.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   For in him [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

The Spirit of God left the Body of Melchisedec and then appeared later in the Body of Jesus Who died and was resurrected in a glorified Body. In that immortal Body, Jesus is always the High Priest and will always be the High Priest continually. There is no other person who can take the place of Jesus.

HEBREWS 7:4    Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Melchisedec was all of God dwelling in a temporary human Body. The fulness of God, dwelling in this Man, made this Man great.

Abraham met this amazing Man and immediately wanted to give something back to Him. So, he gave tithes which means one-tenth of all that he had.

So, when sinners meet the God Who dwells in the Man Jesus, then they desire to give Him something. The main spiritual thing that is worth giving is their souls in repentance. This forms a spiritual relationship with Jesus as He becomes their Saviour and then their Lord.

Then the saved person realizes that they are dependent on God for their financial survival in this materialistic world. So they also make a financial payment to God.

They learn a strange law. If you hold all your income as notes between your two hands and then try to "stretch" the money to cover your needs, it is often insufficient. But if you “snip” 10% off the notes by giving 10% of the money to God, then suddenly the remaining 90% of the notes become far more "elastic" and can stretch to cover your needs.

The Jordan River flows into and out of the Sea of Galilee which is full of fish life because the Sea of Galilee gets water and gives out water. When we get we must also learn to give.

Then the Jordan River flows into the Dead Sea which has no outlet. It only receives and never gives. Thus it died and has no fish life because it is too salty.

Paying tithes helps us to give which makes us better people. The antidote to greediness is giving.

HEBREWS 7:5   And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Levi was a grandson of Abraham. Levi’s descendants became the Levites who performed the ceremonies and looked after the equipment in the Tabernacle and the Temple.

The Levites accepted the tithes on behalf of God as His representatives on earth.

HEBREWS 7:6   But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

Melchisedec never came from the Tribe of Levi.

He blessed Abraham by promising him the Promised Land which Abraham and the Jews will inherit in the Millennium which is the 1000-year Kingdom.

Caiaphas tears his clothes to end the Aaronic priests

But Melchizedek had nothing to do with the Levites.

So Melchisedec represented a different form of the priesthood.

For the Jews, the first Levitical High Priest was Aaron and the last High Priest was Caiaphas who broke the Law by tearing or rending his clothes at the trial of Jesus. This was not allowed.

LEVITICUS 21:10   And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

At the trial of Jesus before the high priest Caiaphas who was of the tribe of Levi.

MATTHEW 26:64   Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

:65     Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

:66     What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

What a mockery of Justice. Caiaphas broke the Law by tearing his clothes which ended the Law and then he sentenced Jesus to death because Jesus was the only One present Who could fulfil the Scripture of coming on the clouds of Heaven.

Then God tore up the Temple veil to show that the Aaronic High Priesthood of the tribe of Levi was finished. It had no more spiritual significance.

Melchisedec was the fulness of God in a Man. Only Jesus could fulfill that condition. Thus, only Jesus could become High Priest of the Melchisedec priesthood during the seven church ages.

Then Jesus died on the cross.

MATTHEW 27:50   Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

As Jesus died the Temple Veil was rent because the clothes of the High Priest had been rent. That disqualified the High Priest Caiaphas and ended the Aaronic High Priesthood.

But the four Roman soldiers who crucified Jesus never rent the seamless robe of Jesus.

That vindicated Jesus as the new High Priest of the order of Melchisedec. A Heavenly Priesthood.

JOHN 19:23   Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus,

took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part;

and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

:24   They said therefore among themselves,

Let us not rend it,

but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

Four Roman guards stood around His cross.

MATTHEW 6:10   Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

This reflects on earth the four beasts around the throne of God in Heaven who act as four guards.

Melchizedec came from Heaven with bread and wine. Broken bread spoke of death. Wine speaks of Life in the resurrection.

So, even God’s enemies, the four Roman soldiers who were killing Him, ended up fulfilling His Will by being four guards around Him. And they never rent His coat.

On earth the four Roman guards were following the Heavenly pattern of four guards around God as God hung on the cross.

ISAIAH 33:2   O LORD,

be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

:3     At the noise of the tumult the people fled;

at the lifting up of thyself

the nations were scattered.

An earthquake announced a resurrection of the Jews

MATTHEW 27:51   And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

God tore the Temple veil from top to bottom. The crust of the earth is made of soil and rocks. That separates the people on top of the earth from the hell that is deep down in the earth. The rocks rent to show the passage of Jesus as the Holy Ghost down to hell where He carried our sins in order to dump them on the Devil.

The Ghost is the Spirit of the dead Man.

Jesus could not save us as the Holy Spirit. He had to die and leave His Body to become the Holy Ghost. Hell was designed for sinful ghosts. Carrying our sins enabled the Holy Ghost to enter hell. The Devil got a hiding and lost the keys of death and hell.

So, a mighty earthquake happened just before the Old Testament saints rose from the dead.

MATTHEW 27:52   And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

:53     And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Thus we can expect a mighty earthquake at the time of the New Testament resurrection.

The broken bread and lively wine represented death, burial, and then the lively resurrection. The High Priest of the order of Melchisedec did something that no High Priest of the Aaronic priesthood could perform.

Death, burial, and resurrection was the real sign of Messiah.

It is a new covenant that we belong to by faith in Jesus, not by some church affiliation.

HEBREWS 7:7    And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

The Old Testament Law forced the Jews to obey certain rules. They did it because they had to. They killed an innocent animal. Their sin entered the animal and the innocence of the animal entered them. But the life of an animal cannot enter the life of a human to make the human into a better person.

But at Calvary, the Blood of Jesus cleansed our sin. Our sin was dumped on Him and His innocence entered us. Then the Holy Spirit which was the Life in His Blood enters us and makes us better people who have no desire to sin. We then obey the Word of God because we want to, not because we have to.

The New Testament thus becomes the true aim of the Old Testament. The lesser Old Testament only finds its blessing when it is fulfilled by the New Testament.

HEBREWS 7:8    And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

In the early church, people paid tithes to the church elders who ran the church. The elders then decided how the money was to be spent.

ACTS 11:29    Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

ACTS 11:30   Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

The elders handled the financial issues.

Tithes never were meant to establish a father and son family business.

The elders who handle the money will die. But the motivation for paying tithes is to spread the Word of God.

God Himself will never die.

Levi paid tithes while still in his great grandfather

HEBREWS 7:9    And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

Levi was a speck within a speck that was the future Jacob who was within the speck that was the future Isaac. Yet Levi, a speck within a speck that was within a speck somehow rejoiced when his great grandfather Abraham paid tithes without being asked.

HEBREWS 7:10   For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Because something within Levi agreed with God’s Plan for tithes, God allowed Levi to collect the tithes.

God's Plan is so complex that He was preparing you for your role in His Kingdom while you were still in your great grandfather.

Then God shaped you further when you were in your grandfather.

You were further shaped while you were in your father.

Now God is trying to shape you even further to fit in with His end-time Plan that fulfills the Scripture.

Grace is a deeper spiritual fulfillment of the Law

HEBREWS 7:11   If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

The Levitical priesthood was not perfect because the High Priest Caiaphas broke the Law.

So, a new High Priest was needed Who fulfilled the Law.

The High Priest had to be washed.

EXODUS 40:12    And thou [Moses] shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.

Jesus was not baptized for forgiveness of sin because He never sinned. But the High Priest had to be washed by a prophet (John the Baptist).

EXODUS 40:13   And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

Jesus was then anointed by the Holy Spirit coming down to rest upon Him. The Holy Spirit anointing never entered Him.

JOHN 1:33   And I [John the Baptist] knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me,

Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him,

the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

Jesus was the burnt offering Who would take our sins down to the Devil in hell.

The burnt offering had to be washed. Which is what John did to Jesus.

II CHRONICLES 4:6   He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them:

such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them;

Jesus thus fulfilled the Law by magnifying the Law and taking it to a higher level. This changed the Law to having a deeper spiritual meaning.

ISAIAH 42:21   The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Meat represented doctrine. Clean meat had a split hoof or cloven hoof (in two parts) and chewed the cud.

LEVITICUS 11:3   Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

Good doctrine must run through both the Old and the New Testaments. That is what the cloven hoof represents.

You must not be forced to accept a doctrine.

You must have time to chew it over as you join up the verses from both the Old and New Testaments. Only when you are convinced that the doctrine forms a pattern that runs through the Bible do you have to believe it.

HEBREWS 7:12   For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

There is now a spiritual fulfillment of the many details of the Law.

For example:

NUMBERS 19:11   He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.

Man-made doctrines are unclean and bring spiritual death to the church or churches that believe these doctrines. This will be a constant fact throughout the seven church ages. The church organizations and denominations will finally be cleaned up when they are killed by the man of sin who rules as the final Pope during the 3½ years of great Tribulation that occurs at the end of the seventh church age.

NUMBERS 19:12   He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

To be cleaned up on the seventh church age, a man has to get rid of the fatal doctrinal error that killed the desire for Bible truth in the third church age at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325. This was the unscriptural word “Trinity” that emperor Constantine forced onto the church. Once you believe one unscriptural word then you are forced to accept more unscriptural ideas like “Lent”, “Good Friday”, “Easter Monday”, “Christmas”, “25 December”, “God the Son”, “One God in three Persons”, “In the Message”, etc.

“Voice of God” is never mentioned in the New Testament, yet it is fervently believed by many of the “In-the-Message” people. Unscriptural ideas lead to more unscriptural ideas, just like a mutating virus.

All these wrong ideas, and many others, all originated by people being forced to accept the unscriptural doctrine of Trinity. That made them happy to add other words into the Bible.

Now they accept unscriptural words and beliefs without a second thought.

So, if you want to clean up your beliefs in the seventh church age you have to have a clear revelation of the Godhead that was changed at the Council of Nicaea. You must clear up the Trinity error of the third church age. Jesus Christ was the name of Almighty God before Nicaea.

If you do not get rid of the third church age Trinity then you are doomed to perish in great Tribulation at the end of the seventh church age. Amongst all your other errors, you will not know the name of the Triune God. You cannot find one name for three Persons.

As you can see, the physical Law tended to drop away as a shadowy outline. We then find a much deeper spiritual application in the seven church ages as God guides us towards the truth of the first church age.

Here God makes it clear that the worst errors entered at the time of the third church age when the church got involved with politics under the emperor Constantine. Constantine gave the Pope huge amounts of money and the Lateran Palace which bought the obedience of the Pope and the Roman Catholic church.

Melchizedec was a Priest but from the kingly tribe

Melchisedec was the only Man Who could combine the offices of King and Priest.

HEBREWS 7:13   For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

Melchisedec did not come from any tribe. Levi produced the priesthood who waited on the altar. So the new priesthood of the order of Melchisedec had to come from another tribe that performed no priestly functions.

HEBREWS 7:14   For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

Jesus came from the tribe of Judah so that He could be King. Thus He had nothing to do with the Aaronic priesthood that came from Levi.

HEBREWS 7:15    And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

Melchisedec was the fulness of God in an adult Body made from dust. He was never born and He never died.

The only Man Who could be in the likeness of Melchisedec was Jesus because He also had the fulness of the Godhead dwelling in Him.

COLOSSIANS 2:9   For in him [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

But Jesus was a closer Kinsman to us than Melchisedec was because Jesus was born of a woman and He also died. But then He proved Hi immortal Priesthood by resurrecting from the dead in an immortal Body.

HEBREWS 7:16    Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

No earthly commandment applies to Jesus as His Holy Spirit is the Eternal Life that dwells in His glorified Body.

HEBREWS 7:17   For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Jesus, in His glorified Body, can never die again. The order of Melchisedec will last forever.

The Law was never able to make better people

HEBREWS 7:18   For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

The physical Laws of the ceremonial Law never made the Jews into better people, however hard they tried to obey the rules and regulations that God required of them.

HEBREWS 7:19   For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

The Law never made anyone perfect in their behaviour. But the Law brought in a better hope when Jesus became our perfect Sacrifice for sins. Only when we are Blood-washed at Calvary can we draw closer to God.

The Jews hoped that their works were good enough to earn salvation.

We have a much better hope because we know that the works of Jesus are more than good enough to earn our salvation.

HEBREWS 7:20   And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

An oath is an absolute. You cannot argue with a statement made under oath. It is the final truth.

HEBREWS 7:21    (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

The Old Testament priests could fail as humans. Caiaphas and the other priests of that day did fail.

But God swore that Jesus, as a Man, would never fail as He was the perfect sacrifice for sins. His sacrifice would last forever and never be replaced by anything better. Because Jesus is the best.

The supernatural God had no regrets about Jesus dying for our sins as a Man.

HEBREWS 7:22   By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

“Surety” means a guarantee. So Jesus is the guarantee that the New Testament would be better than the Old Testament.

HEBREWS 7:23    And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

The Aaronic priesthood was a long chain of priests because each priest would die sometime and have to be replaced. Some priests were better than others. Those priests in the days of Caiaphas were very corrupt. More interested in money than in truth. Self-gain meant more to them than the welfare of the Jewish nation.

HEBREWS 7:24   But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

But Jesus now lives forever in Heaven and thus will always be the Priest of the order of Melchisedek. He cannot change. He is always perfect as the absolute truth. Nobody can improve on Him.

HEBREWS 7:25   Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

In the Old Testament a Jew took his sacrificial lamb to the priest. The priest examined the lamb not the Jew. If the lamb had no faults then the lamb was killed and the Jew was forgiven.

In the New Testament we have Jesus as our perfect Lamb.

We cannot be perfect in our deeds but we can be perfect in our faith

To achieve that we must believe that Jesus is the Perfect Sacrifice for sin.

But Jesus is the Word of God.

Thus, we have to believe that the King James Bible is perfect. That it is the Absolute Truth.

Whatever you say about the King James Bible is what you are saying about Jesus.

Therefore, never criticize nor change nor contradict the King James Bible.

Our faith can only be perfect if the Bible we believe in is perfect.

ROMANS 10:17   So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You can only develop faith from what is written in Scripture.

If you believe that the Bible has mistakes then your faith will also be flawed.

HEBREWS 7:26    For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Our High Priest came down to our level so that He could raise us up to His level.

Jesus never indulged in a war. He won the victory without harming anyone. He won by submitting Himself to the Will of God which was written into the Scriptures.

We must follow that example.

We are not depending on our imperfect works but we are depending on His perfect works and the infallible truths that Jesus wrote into the King James Bible.

We depend upon His perfect fulfillment of all the Scriptures.

Now we must also fulfill the Scriptures that apply to the end time.

We have to develop perfect faith that never doubts that the King James Bible is the perfect and infallible truth. Then we have to believe that God will enable us to be able to understand the Bible mysteries that take us back to what the early church was when it was taught by the apostles.

It is not about doing great things now. It is all about believing the original truth from the New Testament.

Elevated church leaders have too many faults

HEBREWS 7:27  Who needeth not daily, as  those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

The Aaronic priesthood of the Old Testament were fallible human beings who got elevated to stand between the people and God. But, as human beings they failed every day. They, as typical human leaders, were imperfect and relied on the continual sacrificing of innocent animals for sin. The elevated leaders themselves were not innocent.

Human leaders, when in charge, quickly wanted power and money.

Elevated priestly leaders wanted the power to take the people’s money. That never changes.

Today the churches try to establish a five-fold Aaronic priesthood of preachers that is elevated between God and the church.

“The pastor is the head of the church” is their unscriptural claim.

“The tithes belong to the pastor” is their next unscriptural claim.

A  RESUME  OF  THE  AGES  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK  CPT.10

Now watch this doctrine of Balaam most carefully. Notice above all, that it is the deliberate maneuver of a corrupt clergy to bind the people to them, by leading the people deliberately into the sin of unbelief. The Nicolaitane doctrine was the corruption of the clergy as they sought political power amongst themselves,

while Balaamism is the subjection of the people to their system of creed and worship in order to hold them.

53  0614  EARNESTLY  CONTENDING  FOR  THE  FAITH  THAT  WAS  ONCE  DELIVERED  TO  THE  SAINTS

Elders is what's the head of the church, every church.

Each local church must be ruled by a group of local elders who are all equal to each other.

57-0908 HEBREWS  CHAPTER  FIVE  AND  SIX.1
Show me by the Bible what's greater, in the Bible, than a local elder to a local church? That's right, yes, sir, the sovereignty of the local church, each church in itself.

But Jesus got away from the continual sacrifice of innocent animals by once sacrificing Himself for our sins. He was the perfect Sacrifice.

Sacrificing self and selfishness should be our goal.

HEBREWS 7:28    For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

The weakness of the modern-day churches is that they are ruled by the authority of flawed and sinful one-man church leaders who have hidden agendas as well as much Bible ignorance. They then fight hard to maintain their power and their income.

But Jesus is declared evermore to be the perfect Sacrifice, the ultimate Priest and King.

Whatever He wants us to believe He has written in the King James Bible.

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” — 1 Corinthians 16:23
